The presentation is excellent, as are the desserts. The sushi was delicious, except some of the tempura were too large. The place is beautiful 😍 The service isn't bad, but they served another table that arrived 20 minutes after us much faster, and our order was simpler.

Almost all vegetarian dishes contain fish sauce.

Delicious. Great service. Menu in German, French, and English. I loved the tofu soup with curry and coconut cream. Dogs are welcome 🆗️🐕✅️. The restrooms are clean. The view is extraordinary with the river, the bridge, and France across the street. We'll definitely be back.

I can say with certainty: This is the best sushi in the entire area. I've also tried various dishes like duck and noodles, which were also very tasty, but sushi remains my favorite. Plus, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Rhine from here. I always enjoy coming back.

Located in the heart of the border triangle of Germany, Switzerland, and France, this restaurant has a large outdoor area right on the Rhine on the German side. It's also good for just a beer and fries. Very friendly, quick service. A large beer and fries cost €12.50. Not exactly cheap, but fine for me.

We were a groupe of 5 including a child, the restaurant was busy with not enough staff to cope, we thankfully ordered the childs meal to come with the starters as it was almost 45 minutes before the mains were served, by this time the little one was getting restless, even with the games and crayons we brought with us. Our food was good but not hot, guessing it sat on the pass for a while, and for the prices charged I do not expect processed chicken. The child menu should also have a dedicated dessert choice, we were told the icecream portion was two balls, and they would have to separate an already prepared serving. Which obviously was extra work for the staff. Not surprisingly other children were getting restless and starting to cry. When we paid the bill in the middle of the entrance with people trying to come in, not even a thank you and good evening. Very sad as the restaurant is very popular.

We initially had a great spot on the terrace. It was very sunny and as the shade sail was broken, the team very kindly moved us to a very good spot inside. The menu is extensive, the food is fresh, meal and service were excellent. Time flew by and we stayed much longer than anticipated. However despite our stay, the team remained very professional and courteous. A very positive experience, thank you to the whole team. We recommend it and will be back.

Our visit on August 10, 2025, was unfortunately a complete disaster, from the food to the service. There were two of us and we ordered two main courses (€23 each). After just ten minutes, they were served – lukewarm, tasteless, and visually more like a watery soup with overcooked noodles and hard vegetables. We complained immediately. As a "solution," the waiter offered to simply add more soy sauce and reheat the food – not a good solution to our complaint. Finally, he suggested bringing us fried noodles instead. We only agreed because we firmly believed that the original dishes wouldn't be charged. We received a single plate of noodles for two people, which didn't even fill us up. Then, when we paid, we got another shock: The two expensive main courses were still on the bill. When we asked, the only response was: "I can't remove the dishes from the bill; you have to pay for them." In the end, we paid €62 for two drinks and a plate of pasta, which is an absolute disgrace. If they had communicated this to us from the beginning, we certainly wouldn't have accepted a plate of pasta, but would have chosen something that cost the same as the two dishes we complained about. In a subsequent conversation with the supervisor, we explained the entire incident. He said he couldn't refund our money and, as "compensation," he only offered a 20% discount on our next visit – but after this experience, there will definitely not be a next time. Conclusion: Overpriced, poor food, and a completely unprofessional handling of complaints. That's not how you treat guests. Unfortunately, you get the feeling that the individual guest is worthless because guests always come anyway. As a student, I still mourn my money because it was absolutely not worth it.

I often go to Mai Garden for lunch. The portions are quite large, and the prices are reasonable for the tri-border region. The lunch menu even includes an appetizer (soup or small spring rolls) with every dish. Lunch plus a drink comes to around €20 per person. The evening menu is more expensive. I highly recommend the homemade iced teas. Excellent value for money and fast service. And the sushi platter is amazing!

You can sit both inside and outside and enjoy the beautiful view. The food is excellent. Overall, the cuisine stands out significantly from what you'd usually find in average Chinese restaurants. The staff is friendly and attentive. Dogs are also welcome, which I find very positive. The prices are a bit higher, but this is completely understandable given the location and quality.

We had four different waiters, all refreshingly different, but complicated...why? Lots of flat duck, lots of boring pasta, and hardly any side dishes: joyless!

A beautiful location directly on the Rhine with a fantastic view – that alone makes a visit worthwhile in summer. The prices are rather high, but understandable for this view and the modern ambiance. The food? Finely balanced, lovingly presented, and flavorful. We particularly recommend the sushi – fresh, creatively combined, and a visual highlight. The warm Asian dishes such as fried noodles, duck with mango chili sauce, or the vegan vegetable curry also demonstrate the importance placed on quality and presentation. The appetizer platters are varied, ideal for sharing, and perfect for sampling Asian cuisine. Eating on the terrace overlooking the Rhine in summer is truly an experience – that holiday feeling included. To get a decent seat, it's worth making a reservation! In winter, however, the magic of the location is somewhat lacking; in our opinion, there are more atmospheric alternatives, for example, in Lörrach. Nevertheless: If you want to enjoy Asian cuisine in an upscale setting, this is the place for you!
