The restaurant itself is in a nice location and very nice inside too. However, when it comes to hygiene and cleanliness, it was a disaster... we sat next to the window with a view of the Rhine, the window had stains from sauces and it wasn't clean at all. You could see that the windows hadn't been cleaned for a long time. There were a lot of ants on the floor that were surrounding some leftover food (I saw them right when we were sitting down) and in the corner at the bottom of the window there was a spider web. As I said, when it comes to hygiene and cleanliness, it's a disaster.

Very tasty food, beautiful plate presentation with very good service. Mai Garden is my favorite restaurant at the moment. And now comes criticism at a very high level: In my opinion, the dishes come to the table a little too quickly. The aperitif wasn't finished yet, the starters arrived and after the starter the main course arrived without interruption. On the one hand, this makes you question the freshness of the preparation and, on the other hand, you could get the feeling that the guest has to be dispatched quickly in order to get the table free again. The latter is unlikely to be the case as there were still a few tables available. Some guests will certainly appreciate the quick service. I would therefore welcome it if the guest was asked. This means you can enjoy the pleasant ambience and the beautiful view more and order one or two more glasses of wine. If necessary, bring warm plates so that all the good food on the plate stays warm longer. Nevertheless, I will come back soon and recommend the restaurant to relatives and friends. Unfortunately we didn't like the food at all:( The staff is nice and the restaurant looks nice. We were happy but unfortunately we were disappointed afterwards:( What a shame.

Very good food and well presented but waiting times are sometimes too long on the weekends. But we'd love to come back and eat here again!

The service leaves a lot to be desired, but the place and especially the terrace are superb, the cuisine always a delight.

Die Lage vom Restaurant am Rhein ist sehr schön. Wir haben Sushi bestellt und frittierte Bananen mit Vanilleeis. Das Essen wird sehr schön angerichtet und es schmeckt.

Super delicious, authentic food at reasonable prices and a brilliant view of the Rhine! I like being there because everything is great together!

Once and never again, the food was a complete disaster, the red Thai curry with salmon was inedible. An indefinable water broth with onions, a few vegetables and 2 small pieces of salmon has nothing to do with Thai. Grumpy service, no good appetite, no thanks, food left without comment. Absolutely not recommended, it also seems pretty dingy.

Specialties from several countries, nice variety of sushi 🍣, fresh products, friendly service, view of the Rhine from the terrace, don't forget to ask for a ticket to exit the covered parking lot under the restaurant...

I have been twice in recent months and never disappointed. Dishes are tasty, well sized and reasonably priced. The choice of cocktails is not big but the ones they serve are good.

Excellent dishes, fresh and tasty cuisine. Very good value for money. I invite staff to improve their language skills because it is not always easy to be understood, even in German.

The staff is nice and the ambience is above average, but after repeatedly trying the different dishes I regret to say that the food is not edible.

This restaurant is really great. The waiters are efficient and friendly, the dishes are very generous for exceptional value for money. I highly recommend it !

So we were there and ordered a lot, but at first the food wasn't as it was on the menu, it didn't taste good and some of it wasn't cooked through. The service was also very unfriendly. Never go there again!!!!

The food is beautifully decorated and fills you up. Otherwise it tastes boring and is enough for me as a one-off experience. It is rather loud and not good for conversations.

I was at Mai Garden for lunch today, nice plate with good sauce and fine vegetables, unfortunately it was chicken not to my taste, bad consistency, unsatisfactory, slippery, I'm happy to pay a little more for good quality meat...

Unfortunately, online reservations were completely lost. With luck we managed to find a good place. At first glance, price performance is very good but: I had the chicken red curry and the meat was slippery (softener?) and then had stomach bugs all evening and night. Therefore unfortunately not recommended

Das Essen hat geschmeckt. Der Service hat nicht alles richtig verstanden und dir Gerichte den falschen Personen serviert. Die Musik ist zu laut und immer die selbe. Noch vor ein paar Jahren gab es ein All you can eat Menü. Das war viel viel besser! (Damals 5/5 sternen.)

Parkplätze viel zu klein. Essen und Getränke kamen gleichzeitig. Wurde nicht Mal nach Stäbchen gefragt. Tische zu klein für 4 Personen. Getränke überteuert. Für ein Schorle 5.40euro. War da zum ersten und letzten Mal.

Très bon restaurant avec une superbe vue ! Nous sommes venus à 4 un dimanche midi et le service était rapide Il y en a pour tous les goûts et tout le monde peut y trouver son bonheur ! Le restaurant propose un large choix de sushis allants des maki et california rolls classiques aux recettes plus originales. Nous nous sommes d’ailleurs laissé tenté par les californias spéciaux au bœuf grillé, c’était délicieux ! Les sushis sont très frais, servis sur de très beaux plateau !! Et pour ceux qui préfèrent les plats asiatiques chauds, il y a de nombreuses recettes vietnamiennes et thaïlandaises. Le restaurant propose également des options végétariennes ! Nous étions deux à prendre des sushis et deux à prendre des plats chauds et nous avons tous été satisfait !

Das Essen war super zubereitet. Ich hatte Ente Süss-Sauer mit Reis, als Vorspeise die Miso-Suppe mit Gyoza. Dieses Essen durfte ich mit blick auf den Rhein geniessen. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich. Wir kommen wieder

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe essen. Essen kam gleichzeitig, war sehr ansprechend angerichtet und sehr lecker. Nettes Personal! Parken im Rhein Center nebenan möglich. Zu empfehlen!

Das Essen, in unserem Fall Sushi ist sehr lecker & alles wurde mit liebe angerichtet. Die Preise sind total fair, haben für das Schiff 120 Euro gezahlt. Die Bedienung ist auch freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich,sowohl draussen als auch drinnen. Parkmöglichkeiten sind vorhanden & kostenlos.

Das Ambiente ist sehr stimmig und wer ein Platz am Fenster ergattert,hat man eine schöne Aussicht aufm Rhein. Preisleistung an der Grenze Schweiz war in Ordnung und das Essen war top, die Bedienung freundlich und schnell. Kleine Kinderkarte verfügbar. Kartenzahlung möglich.

Wir waren das erste Mal aber sicher nicht das letzte Mal da zum Essen. Sehr gut und preiswert. Schöne Ambiance und Aussicht. Grosse Auswahl. Grosse Portionen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Repas délicieux, plats très fins mais de petite quantité. Je recommande particulièrement les gyoza. Les prix sont plus similaires à des prix suisses qu’à des prix allemands. Bon service et bel emplacement.

Tolle Location direkt am Rhein. Sehr leckere Speisen, frisch und gekonnt zubereitet. Etwas hochpreisig, aber die Portionen sind dafür auch so, dass man satt wird.

Zuerst mussten wir 30 warten bis wir bestellen konnten . Das Essen war ekelhaft/ das Poulet Fleisch sah nicht wie Poulet aus 😳. Das Restaurant nicht zu empfehlen.

Two things we like here a lot: the steak salad and sushi. But keep in mind, its a bigger chunk of fish and you get full quicker than usal. The fried sushi (big roll) is quide hard to eat, as it's bigger than a bite. But defenetly worth a visit with a lovely Rhine view.

Superficialmente ci siamo decisi dal bellissimo affaccio sul Reno, scioccamente non avevamo notato che era un ristorante vietnamita, grande difficoltà per la lingua (colpa nostra questo!) ma la cosa che ci è sembrata grave era la totale assenza di pane crackers o grissini. Ripeto il negativo è per tutti gli italiani che sono legati a qualcosa simile al nostro mangiare.

Sehr gutes Essen und schöne Lage, jedoch haben wir mehr als eine Stunde für unsere Gerichte warten müssen. Nicht mit komplett leeren Magen dort hingehen.

Wir waren Sonntagmittag zum Essen im Mai Garden. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und schnell. Gegessen haben wir Barbarie Ente mit Gemüse (Nr. 58) und einen Salat mit Mango (Nr. 24). Die Ente war etwas zäh, die gereichten Sweet potato fries hingegen sehr gut. Die Portionen sind gut sättigend. Die Preise für das Gebotene sind in Ordnung. Wir werden wieder kommen, um Sushi auszuprobieren.

Stopped here while on a motorcycle tour round Europe with friends, all I can say is “wow”! Fantastic food, cooked and presented beautifully, pleasant staff and fab views from the outside eating area. Asked for cash only but finally excepted card payment. Highly recommended 👍
