Maharaja Göppingen in Göppingen

We've had a great Indian guy in Göppingen for years, but we still wanted to try out what the advertising in the newspaper promised. Bottom line, there will be no further attempt. By rich buffet we mean something completely different. The minimal range of actually warm food on it was cold and tasted accordingly. We don't understand why the boss was serving in his street down jacket all the time. We found this unpleasant and unhygienic. Even more blatant was another employee who first did craft work behind the counter in work clothes, then, in the same clothes, stirred the containers in the buffet, also served guests and finally worked in the kitchen. We had to express our desire for payment four times, to the boss in the dining room, directly at the counter, then twice more in the dining room. So, not everything that is well advertised in the newspaper is true! Luckily there is the "real Indian restaurant" Indian Palace in Göppingen, where everything is perfect from A to Z and gastronomy is experienced in its perfect form.

The food is very tasty. Our favorites Mango Chicken and Aloo Sag. Tried the lunch buffet for the first time yesterday. Really delicious from the soup to the main courses and side dishes. What also works very well is ordering online and having it picked up/delivered. For us the best Indian restaurant!

So the opening price was not adhered to, it said the buffet price was 9.99 euros until September 30th, which was 3 days before the 30th when we were there, the waitress said no regular price, they should stick to what they advertise. Food was ok but not enough meat. The waitress was very unfriendly. We won't be coming any time soon.

The food itself was good, biryani somehow tasted like a dessert, there were too many nuts in it and therefore tasted like dessert. The price was okay

We have eaten here many times and tried many things on the menu. Very authentic, diverse flavors, no one-size-fits-all approach. Great value for money. Vegetable jalfrezi very good, but also the homemade cheese in spinach sauce, tandoori chicken or biryani. Also the soups, a very good dal soup or dal/chicken soup. I'm sensitive to chemical additives - I've never had any problems with them.

Delicious food. Also many vegetarian dishes. Some are also labeled as vegan. Good value for money. Friendly service. Generally not too busy. We always enjoyed it there. I can only recommend the restaurant.

Original very good cuisine. Very friendly. Just a small construction site with drywall. But it will be finished soon.

The food was very tasty (Dal Makhani & Kadai Paneer). They were also quite generous with the amount of paneer, which made me very happy! The employee was friendly!

I've been a regular customer for several years and the food has always been delicious and the service is incredibly friendly! I eat here on average once a week and am always more than satisfied!

The indiische restaurant in Göppingen and taste was good. I ate Paneer butter masala and was not bad. Service was really fast and food was hot fresh. Was nice there I like to soend time there and vibes was also nice. This is in the heartbof city and next tonit the parking places available for edeka parking. There is no mess for parking also. Owner was jice and people served dishes was also very nice. I would definitely go there and would recommend if you was to have indisches food

I am absolutely thrilled! The selection of vegan dishes is impressive and offers a variety of delicious options, almost all dishes can also be served vegan. Not only is the food outstanding in terms of taste, but the service is also great. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. The atmosphere in the restaurant was inviting and cozy, overall I can only recommend a visit to the Maharaja. We will definitely come back!

Very, very tasty and above all authentic Indian food! The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the staff is extremely friendly. :) The portions are quite large and you will definitely be full. ;) There's nothing to say about the prices either. We were definitely thrilled and will definitely come back. <3

Went for dinner with the family on Saturday. Well, the atmosphere is colorful and a bit strange (plexiglass on the tablecloths...) but the service and the food are great. Portions are large. I can only recommend.

It was my first time eating Indian food and I was really impressed. I particularly recommend the baked onion rings as a starter, the food was also great. The restaurant is a bit inconspicuous on the outside but really well decorated on the inside. The employees were super nice. 5 Stars. Definitely come back.

As always, it was super tasty and everyone tried very hard to make our visit as pleasant as possible and with complete success. The food is always fresh and delicious, the house tea is amazing and my children love the homemade lassi. Always like a culinary trip to India.

Leider sehr schlechtes Essen! Wir gehen gerne indisch essen und das war definitiv der schlechteste Inder bisher...Das Fleisch mega trocken, der Reis genauso und nach 3 min absolut ungenießbar. Die indische Küche steht für Gewürze, diese waren hier leider auch kaum zu schmecken.Das komplett leere Restaurant am Samstag Nachmittag hatte wohl doch seine Gründe, leider haben wir uns doch entschieden rein zu gehen....

Stopped in for dinner with friends. The food and service was excellent. All of our dishes hot and tasty. I had the Lamm Okra. Our server was absolutely delightful(owner's daughter). The owner stopped by our table to say hello. This is the place for authentic Indian food 👍

Das beste Indische Restaurant!!! Wie haben schon so viele Indische Restaurants ausprobiert auch in vielen anderen Städten aber keins übertrifft das. Mittagsmenü top zu den Preisen, Mengen sehr großzügig, Geschmacklich und von der Qualität einfach top, nur zum empfehlen!!!

Schönes Ambiente und abwechslungsreiche Speisen auf der Speisekarte. Auch ein Mittagsmenü ist erhältlich. Nur einige Getränke (Cola) sind nicht frisch und werden mit Glas serviert, ansonsten ist alles Top!

Sehr leckere indische Gerichte mit guten Portionen. Auch für Vegetarier gibt es eine sehr gute Auswahl. Preise finde ich leider etwas hoch.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Reis wird kostenlos wieder aufgefüllt. Viele Gerichte. Sympathischer und zuvorkommender Inhaber. Toller Service. Finde es gut das die Tische mit Glasplatten abgedeckt sind, dadurch ist alles sauber und hygienisch. Immer wieder gern.

Wir waren zu zweit und hatten ein Thali bestellt, verschiedene Fleisch- und Gemüse Gerichte für 2 Personen. Ganz tolle Vielfalt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Essen ist hervorragend. Obwohl nicht viel los war, ließ sich der Kellner nicht oft blicken. Zum bezahlen mussten wir an der Theke fragen. Sobald die Tür aufging, zog es bitter Kalt rein. Da müsste man baulich was tun. Ansonsten nicht der letzte Besuch.

Ich liebe dieses Restaurant und halte es für einen Geheimtip. Das Essen ist mit Originalrezepten aus Indien gemacht. Für mich als Vegetarier gibt es auch tolle Optionen. Die Inhaberfamilie ist sehr nett und die Bedienung einwandfrei. Wir kommen gerne spontan nach der Arbeit vorbei und bekommen auch meistens noch einen guten Platz.

obwohl das viertel drum herum vielleicht etwas hässlich ist, sobald man in das Restaurant herein läuft, wird man von einem super netten Chef mit Turban empfangen. Sehr schönes Ambiente mit gemütlicher Beleuchtung, tollen indischen Gemälden und schöner Musik. Essen ist auch hervorragend, so wie in Indien, vor allem das Fladenbrot! Nur zu empfehlen!

Angenehme Atmosphäre. Sehr freundliches Personal. Essen wird frisch zubereitet, deswegen einwenig Wartezeit. Das schmeckt man. Gehört zu meinen Top Ten, der indischen Restaurants in Europa. Vielen Dank.
