Madame Dao in Falkensee

Our family favorite restaurant since 2000 !

Today we went to Madame Dao's for the first time. The hot and sour soup was delicious. The crispy duck with egg fried rice was also great. My personal highlight was the fried banana. The crispy batter around the banana was fantastic and better than we're used to.

A great restaurant with very friendly people. The food is delicious and plentiful. The service is very attentive. Excellent value for money 👍 I'd gladly come again.

Absolutely delicious Asian food! We always love going there and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended. One minor drawback regarding the "ambiance": While the decor is very nice, it's poorly heated in winter, so for those of us who are always cold, like me, it's advisable to bring a cardigan.

Excellent Vietnamese cuisine, including bowls and sushi. The service was very friendly, quick, and attentive. Card payments are accepted. The interior is furnished in wood and is cozy. The terrace offers a peaceful atmosphere overlooking a quiet side street. A top recommendation in Falkensee.

The soup was delicious and well-seasoned, the ingredients for the summer rolls were fresh, and the dipping sauce was truly special. The space is beautiful, airy, and spacious. What impressed me most, however, was the friendly service – I will definitely return and try other dishes from the menu, as everything looks delicious.

We often end up here at Madame Dao after a long walk or hike (we're from Berlin ourselves). So far, we've never been disappointed: the food is always delicious, the service is fast and good, and all at very reasonable prices. A definite recommendation!

Ordered several takeaway meals. Second time there and probably never again. This time, among other things, I ordered salmon. The fish was dry and hard. Cooked far too long. Frozen? The vegetables were almost exclusively celery. Very disappointing.

If you want to eat sushi in Falkensee, Madame Dao is worth a visit. Freshly prepared, delicious, and reasonably priced. We don't eat out often, but when we do, we like to come here and enjoy ourselves. You may have to wait a bit, but you get absolutely fresh creations 🍣🍱🍙.

It's relatively fresh throughout the restaurant, which clearly doesn't do the atmosphere any favors. The service is rather unambitious; when we pointed out that one of our drinks was ordered large but brought small, there was no reaction whatsoever. Although we were warned in advance that the sushi would take longer, it was already ready and stood on the counter for ages, but was ignored by the employees, even though we were sitting directly across from us. In terms of taste, everything was okay, but it wasn't a revelation either. All in all, unfortunately nothing that needs to be repeated.

Bún Bò Nam Bộ was a real surprise for me – so light, fresh and full of flavor! Tender beef on warm rice noodles, fresh herbs, crunchy vegetables and a perfectly balanced sauce. It was balanced, healthy and simply delicious. I will definitely order this dish again!

The fried shrimps with vegetables were simply amazing! The shrimp were fresh, perfectly fried and juicy. The vegetables were crunchy and full of color – all wonderfully seasoned with typical Vietnamese flavors. A light, healthy and incredibly delicious meal. I was amazed by the quality and taste!

Reservation didn't really work. Food acceptable, but can be described as cold. It may be authentic but not really our thing. Service is difficult to understand and less attentive when there are very few guests. Ambience GDR retro with a touch of Asia. It was a bit very cold in the restaurant. Unfortunately it's not on our top 10 list of our favorite restaurants in Falkensee.

I absolutely love the Vietnamese Restaurant! The sashimi bowl with fresh salmon was not only beautifully prepared, but also a real highlight in terms of taste. The salmon was buttery tender and perfectly sliced, with creamy avocado slices, sweet cherry tomatoes, crunchy seaweed, fresh mango and tender sprouts - simply a harmonious combination. Everything was super fresh and prepared with great attention to detail. The service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was clean and cozy. I'll definitely be back!

The store has definitely deteriorated in every way since it moved, which was a while ago now. The service has never been the best, but the employees are so okay. However, overall the ambience in the restaurant is absolutely lacking. It's just super cold in the store, there are fan heaters around that are supposed to warm it up, but they don't work. It was significantly warmer outside than inside. So if the weather is relatively good, you should just sit outside to avoid freezing. It's also very dark and uncomfortable inside. Too bad. That's okay, but not so great that it would tear out the rest. The portions are okay and the price is also okay. This was our second time there since moving - after the first visit we had hoped it would be even better. Unfortunately it wasn't like that.

Conditional recommendation Crispy baked duck was too dry and tasteless. The soup was ordered with shrimp but received with chicken. Price/performance ok

My absolute favorite sushi restaurant! I've eaten at many sushi restaurants, but none come close to this one. I especially love breaded sushi rolls - and right here you can find the best ones I've ever tried! Crispy on the outside, perfectly coordinated on the inside 👌🏼 Every time I come here, everything tastes just as fresh and delicious as the first time I visited. For me, this restaurant is definitely number one when it comes to sushi!

So far everything I've eaten here has been very, very tasty. Bun Bo, sushi, dumplings, red curry, everything was great. I recently ate duck there and it was top quality and tasteful. Also beautifully presented. The cocktails are also highly recommended.

Ordered sushi there for a lot of money! The big negative surprise came at home. Contrary to the actual quality and taste, everything just tasted spoiled. Both vegetarian sushi and sake were inedible!

I can't say much about the ambience because I've never eaten in the restaurant before. I always just take something with me. The food is always excellent, whether it's sushi or the Vietnamese specialties. Sometimes it takes quite a long time for the food to be ready. Otherwise I have nothing to complain about, on the contrary. The staff is consistently nice and friendly!

I went there for the first time on the recommendation of a friend and we had a lovely evening. The food is first class and the service is great. I had the sour and spicy soup, 56 Tom Ca hoi sot Teriyaki (salmon), the Ipanema cocktail, non-alcoholic and a ginger tea😋 There is only one point deduction from me, it was quite cold despite the mobile heater near the table. I will definitely go back but at a warmer time of year.

According to the menu there is a delivery service. After we chose something and called, it said "We don't deliver". Huh?!

Very tasty food, freshly prepared and a short waiting time. When we arrived at lunchtime the restaurant was still quite empty as it had just opened. But it filled up quickly, which is certainly due to the quality of the food. Conclusion: This was our first time here, but not the last. 😉

Very wholesome, tasty prepared food (glutamate-free!), Vietnamese cuisine is a little different than the well-known Chinese food, I like it better, so a clear recommendation!

The food was good and the price was ok too. But a tea for €5 isn't quite as nice. The restaurant was extremely cold and therefore seemed uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't have her friendliest day either.

I've had much better Vietnamese food. The food is okay, nothing more. Overcooked vegetables, duck that was too dry, pineapple on the cocktail was soapy, sushi was average. The seating outside is tight, there's plenty of free time on Friday evenings, but you're still "packed together". And then - like the table next to us before - we had a real plague of flies on us and the food. It was over after 10 minutes (moved on), but hey... that's no fun or appetite... And if you dare, you can drink the Vietnamese rice schnapps. I know the "white dragon" and if that was one, it was adulterated. Sorry, but Madame Dao won't see us again

We chose a table outside on the terrace as it was warm. The tables are a little too close to their neighbors. We found the adjacent street, with the cars driving past, very unpleasant and disturbing. It was very loud and restless. Too bad. The service was good. The waitress seemed a bit unfriendly. It's probably her style. She was still very attentive! The food was very tasty and sufficient! The misou soup was a bit too salty. Card payment is possible, although cash payment is preferred. We'd love to come back. But then it's better to choose the indoor area.

As always, very tasty, but the ambience in the interior is not always pleasant when there are always one or more cell phones behind the counter and there are loud video calls going on. Very pleasant outside on the terrace at the moment, little car traffic. Parking spaces on the side streets.

So far we have only ordered sushi there to take away, but I can still say that the staff there is very friendly and there is a family atmosphere, very nice people! Delicious good food. No matter whether sushi or other dishes. Solid and nothing to complain about. Lots of places inside and outside. Cash only. Unfortunately no card payment or anything similar which I don't understand these days and that's why I'm deducting a star. Parking on surrounding streets. Otherwise 10 minutes walk to the train station.

Nice interior for a Vietnamese restaurant, the menu offers Vietnamese and Japanese dishes. We had all sorts of sushi/sashimi variations, all of which were fresh and tasted very good. The sushi also offered more unusual variations. Delicious desserts and decent wines by the glass. Service quick, prices in the normal range.

Für ein vietnamesisches Restaurant eine nette Inneneinrichtung, die Karte bietet vietnamesische und japanische Gerichte. Wir hatten allerlei Sushi/Sashimi Variationen, die alle frisch waren und sehr gut schmeckten, bei den Sushis werden auch eher ungewöhnliche Varianten angeboten. Leckere Nachspeisen und ordentliche offene Weine. Service schnell, Preise im normalen Bereich.

Good authentic shop with delicious sushi and a large menu. We had the Fried Sushi Rolls and the Inside Outs with salmon and chicken here - both were delicious and tasty. They were prepared quickly and despite being “to go”, the food at home was still warm (the fried rolls) and delicious. We don't go to the area often, so it's definitely a good place to eat Asian food.

Vietnamese restaurant with tasty food, a well-stocked menu, an attractive ambience and reasonable prices.

At Madame Dao you go home very full - if you don't, it's your own fault! There were four of us and we definitely couldn't fit anything else. We had Madame Dao lemonade, highly recommended, nicely presented in large iced tea glasses. Then followed a selection of starters: the mini spring rolls, the coconut soup and the Japanese chicken skewers (yakitori). Only the latter wasn't quite my taste, but very tender. The main course was a bowl with tofu, all the ingredients were very fresh. And main courses with crispy duck and vegetables in coconut sauce. Everything was eaten. For dessert we ordered the terry banana, the steamed banana and the sesame balls. The latter is our favorite. So so delicious. We recommend. The restaurant is very harmoniously furnished, the staff is attentive and friendly. We had nothing to complain about and will definitely come back.

Although the table was reserved for 6, it was only cleared and set when we were already in the restaurant. So you didn't feel welcome - a shame. There was a large group behind us who came after us, which made it very loud and sometimes I couldn't understand what I was saying. Small niches would be more comfortable - it's just a suggestion.

I waited 1.5 hours for my food... In between it was forgotten... It was total chaos! I should also pay full price for that! Better look for another restaurant!

Wir waren jetzt schon mehrmals hier Essen und es war jedes mal sehr lecker. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und auch die Wartezeit war angemessen. Alles in allem ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit netter Bedienung und schmackhaftem Essen. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen.

Das Essen war heiß und recht lecker, die Bedienung aufmerksam und freundlich, im Restaurant war es etwas kühl.

Als erstes: das Essen ist sehr gut, große Auswahl, Preis-Leistung völlig ok! Aber: Die Lokalität war vor der Neueröffnung im April ein Raucherlokal. Die Holzverkleidung wurde nicht entfernt und bei der Eröffnung roch es sehr streng nach Nikotin. Keine Lokalität, wo man sich als Nichtraucher wohl fühlt. Nach dem wir 1 Tag nach der Neueröffnung da waren, ging noch vieles drunter und drüber. Essen wurde nicht serviert, andere Gäste kamen und gingen vor uns und der Service war überfordert. Kann passieren. Nun waren wir vor einigen Tagen erneut dort und wollten dem Ganzen noch eine Chance geben. Uhrzeit: 16Uhr. Das Lokal war bis auf 2 Gäste die gerade zahlten leer. Es war EISKALT im Innenraum (draußen waren es ca. 13 Grad). Es war Totenstille, keine Hintergrundmusik o.ä. Wir hörten ständig den Koch aus der Küche vietnamesisch singen. Ob nun gut oder schlecht, mag eine andere Jury entscheiden. Unser Tisch war dreckig/fettig. Wir äußerten nichts um zu sehen, ob es dem Personal auffällt. Dies war nicht der Fall. Das optische Ambiente ist stilvoll eingerichtet und schön, allerdings roch es auch nach dem letzten Besuch (der ein halbes Jahr her ist) nach Nikotin und Katzenurin. Zur klirrenden Kälte im Lokal sehr unangenehm! Das Essen war schnell serviert (inkl. Vorspeise) und wie bereits erwähnt sehr gut! Insg. dauerte unser Besuch gerade einmal 50Min. Das spricht für die Küche, jedoch nicht fürs Verweilen. Während unseres Besuches kamen weitere Gäste, die die Temperaturen ebenfalls bemerkten. Einigen ließen sogar die Jacken an. Als wir gingen, fühlte sich die Außentemperatur wärmer an, als innen. Ich bin wahrlich kein Mensch der schnell friert, aber das hätte auch nichts mit wohlfühlen zu tun. Alles in allem haben wir uns entschieden nicht mehr vor Ort zu Essen und uns nur noch Essen abzuholen. An wärmeren Tagen draußen zu sitzen kommt für uns ebenfalls nicht in Frage, da die Terrasse direkt an der Hauptstr. ist. Sehr schade, ich hatte mir mehr erhofft!

Wir waren gestern Abend zum ersten Mal im Restaurant und waren mehr als positiv überrascht. Der Service war top, Essen sehr schmackhaft und schön angerichtet. Jeder Tisch war besetzt. Für’s Wochenende empfiehlt es sich daher vorher zu reservieren, geht prima online!
