Leckeres japanisch-asiatisches Fusions-Mittagessen

Ich besuchte Machikos Kitchen an einem Freitag gegen 12:30 Uhr zum Mittagessen. Die Außengastronomie war angenehm gut besucht, ohne überfüllt zu wirken – es waren noch ein paar Tische frei, was für eine entspannte Atmosphäre sorgte. Das Bestellsystem funktionierte reibungslos. Man bestellt und bezahlt zuerst an der Theke, erhält eine Nummer und das Essen wird anschließend an den Tisch gebracht. Da alles bereits bezahlt ist, kann man nach dem Essen einfach gehen, was ich sehr praktisch fand. Ich entschied mich für einen Platz draußen, obwohl es auch Sitzplätze drinnen gibt. Als Erstbesucher war ich etwas verwirrt vom Namen „Machikos Kitchen im Wolfskino“. Natürlich hatte ich etwas mit einem Kinobezug erwartet, aber als ich ankam, wirkte der Ort selbst nicht wirklich wie ein Kino. Vielleicht war es früher mal eins und nur der Name ist geblieben – ich bin mir nicht sicher. Außerdem steht auf dem Schild draußen hauptsächlich „Wolf“, daher war ich mir zunächst nicht ganz sicher, ob ich am richtigen Ort war. Vielleicht kennen es die Einheimischen schon gut, aber Neulinge würden sich über ein klareres Branding freuen. Ich bestellte Bibimbap. Es war wunderschön angerichtet, farbenfroh und voller frischem Gemüse. Es schmeckte hervorragend und wirkte frisch und gesund. Da Bibimbap aber ursprünglich ein koreanisches Gericht ist, fragte ich mich etwas nach der „japanischen Identität“ des Restaurants. Abgesehen vom asiatischen Personal und der minimalistischen Atmosphäre wirkt das Restaurant selbst, weder in der Inneneinrichtung noch im Menükonzept, besonders japanisch. Der Stil ist eher modern und international. Das Essen war gut, aber geschmacklich hat es mich persönlich nicht umgehauen. Für rund 10 € zur Mittagszeit fand ich das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für München jedoch angemessen. Als japanischer Gast dachte ich mir außerdem, dass klassische japanische Gerichte – selbst etwas so Einfaches wie Gyudon oder eine traditionelle dreifarbige Reisschale – die Identität des Restaurants vielleicht deutlicher zum Ausdruck bringen könnten. Dennoch ist es ein stilvoller und angenehmer Ort für ein ungezwungenes Mittagessen, besonders wenn man moderne asiatisch inspirierte Küche in entspannter Nachbarschaftsatmosphäre mag.

Das beste Sake Don und Kimchi in Berlin! Schön wäre es, wenn man die Möglichkeit hätte, eine zweite Soße zu bestellen.

Bibimbap? Normally with egg, but here you have to order it with it. It's usually cooked super hot in a pan, but unfortunately, it's served cold here. The taste is actually okay.

Im sorry for saying this, but the food was completely cold and is supposed to be a soup (?) and also no taste, i was waiting for that asian/chinese flavour for the Szechuan pepper, but nothing :/ is not tasty, taste like nothing

We've been going here regularly for lunch for a few years now. A clear menu, very high quality. Very friendly staff. Must-try: yuzu lemonade, matcha latte.

I had the udon noodle soup, it was amazing! The only not so nice thing was that while we were having lunch, 4 different people got into the restaurant asking for a change. That was a bit uncomfortable. Card payment accepted

First time here today, had the Sakedon and lemon lemonade. The Sakedon was super tasty, lots of flavour, portion size ok for lunch. The three staff I noticed were working very hard to get food out fast, yet all super friendly. Highly recommend this place and will definately return.

Amazing lunch menus; definitely one of the best Korean meal I had in Berlin! The only downside is that it’s inside Kino and the kitchen is closing rather early. These people should have their own restaurant.

I want to add some steamy rice to the rest of the Dandan soup.

Ordered the Tantan Udon noodle salad for the first time today. Great ingredients with sloppy miso dressing but still light and refreshing. I'll try out the rest of the menu soon.

I'm sorry, but I've been there for dinner three times now and found it completely boring each time. Rice and vegetables thrown side by side without any seasoning except the spicy red paste. That can't be the case and the price is too high, especially since it's self-service. The service is ok, the ambience is too dark for me during the day.

The bibimbap and kimchi at Machiko's Kitchen in the Wolf Kino are simply outstanding. The bibimbap offers a perfect balance of taste and texture, every vegetable is fresh and crunchy, and the different flavors harmonize wonderfully with each other. The kimchi is a real taste explosion, with the perfect mix of spiciness and umami. Both dishes demonstrate masterful preparation and attention to detail. A culinary experience that I always enjoy.

I recently ordered food from Machiko's Kitchen through Wolt. The bibimbap and sakedon I chose were both delightful and absolutely delicious. The bibimbap featured a colourful variety of vegetables, with the gochujang sauce providing just the right amount of spice. It was a true pleasure to enjoy every bite of this dish. The sakedon, on the other hand, had noticeably fresh fish that was simply delicious and well-prepared. Highly recommended.
