Good, honest, tasty food. Breakfast buffet on weekends is definitely recommended! Breakfast items can be ordered during the week. Dinner, pizzas etc. are also of good quality. Employees very friendly and enthusiastic, nice casual atmosphere, price/quality is excellent. Thank you!

Lately this has been my favorite place to meet up with friends. The atmosphere here is good, the decor is stylish and it's easy to get here by public transport.

Open continuously... pleasant indeed when you are hungry in the middle of the day. Recent address, large, with charming spots to relax and chill. A well-filled card but not very practical with all these sheets. Newspaper format would be preferable. We will definitely come back to discover the rest and the dessert menu

The best breakfast buffet with vegan options I've ever eaten. Various spreads and even cold cuts. The only other thing I know is that as a vegan you only get jam. I was very happy that things are different here. And the bread tastes incredibly good! Really fluffy and delicious :) I will now always have breakfast here when I visit Essen

We were there for breakfast. It was OK. But nothing more. The cake stand with fruit could have been decorated in a more visually appealing way. The service also left a lot to be desired.

On a beautiful Saturday lunchtime, sat outside, had a delicious meal (a bowl and seasonal strawberry pancakes) and was served very nicely. The overall rating is only 4 stars, as it is quite expensive (a 0.5l spritzer costs around €6 depending on the variety) - drinking or even eating something is a luxury.

I was at Ma for the first time on Monday, I was completely blown away by the furnishings... very tasteful and not so sterile. The waitress was super nice, in a good mood and friendly... I had the impression that she had fun doing her job. The food, baked potato with chicken strips of arugula and a few cherry tomatoes, was ok At €16, I swallowed a bit because it wasn't enough to fill me up. But I also see that the rent, personnel costs and energy are a number that need to be managed. .. therefore OK The men's toilet is an absolute disaster, when you open the door you are greeted by a rush of acrid urine stench. That shouldn't happen in such a great restaurant, it's certainly partly due to the guests... but mainly due to the management who ignores it and the negligence of the cleaning staff. It's definitely not a dream job... but you can still do it properly.

It's true that it's been my favorite bar, cafe, whatever for a while now, but somehow lately the shandy tasted like spühli. I was with a colleague and had burgers here, even the real ones weren't that good. I don't know if there's something different in the store or not I'm crazy but I'd rather go to Rosemarie

Today I was there with my friends. Unfortunately, they made my day a disaster. I ordered cheesecake cream and they bring me yogurt with fruit. It really was like that. Another issue was the unfriendly waitress. There were so many empty tables for new customers to sit at. But every 5 minutes the waitress would come and ask, "Do you need anything? Do you want to pay?" And finally we got fed up and went to another restaurant. Really now I understand why I'm getting more and more empty every day. I hope the manager will see my feedback and try to solve these problems in the restaurant.

The Asian bowl I ordered was an absolute failure. It was pre-prepared Asian vegetables that were in an indefinable sauce and had already been completely softened, as well as rice. In my opinion, this has nothing to do with the basic idea of ​​a bowl. To my horror, at the end of my meal I also came across an extremely long, dark hair, so that I finally lost my appetite. When the waitress asked me if I liked it - and I gave my criticism, all she said was: "That's what a bowl looks like here."

The menu is nice and offers plenty of choice for vegetarians and regular guests. I had a bowl that had good toppings, average taste and was quite expensive at €15.00. Unfortunately, while eating I found an insect in my food and pointed it out to the waitress. The reaction was sobering and in the end I even had to pay for the meal in full.

I just loved everything about this place! The food was also amazinh. Specially the bowls. I actually didn‘t take any photos because I couldn‘t wait! And this drink with himbeere was the best!

At Ma you get a wonderful breakfast buffet. Lovingly put together, beautifully presented. There are a variety of dishes that stand out from most breakfast buffets in Essen. If you have breakfast here, you can go home with the feeling that you have done something good for your body and soul. Large selection for everyone (including vegans). The staff is friendly and attentive. I also really like the ambience.

Great cafe/bar. Have been to the MA several times for breakfast or lunch. Super friendly service and quick service. Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday as a buffet was excellent and fresh and plentiful. Freshly squeezed orange juice is included. Bread and rolls, scrambled eggs or omelettes, quark dishes, fruit muesli and vegan things...everything rich and freshly prepared. Coffee costs extra, but that's the case almost everywhere. We are thrilled and would love to come back...

We had to wait almost an hour for snacks and salad, while none of the service staff came to us at least once to apologize or even tell us in advance that it was taking so long, while they preferred to stand together laughing and chatting about private matters. That is not how it works

The MA is minimalist and cozy at the same time, which sounds contradictory at first, but it isn't. And somehow it also has a student and feminine touch. This sets it apart from the many gastro chains in the area. Nice menu, friendly staff and good desserts are a plus.

Nice shop in terms of atmosphere, but the price/performance ratio of the food is not right at all. The burger with frozen patty, brittle bun and ready-made dressing for €15 is just as underground as the garlic pizza. That's a real impudence in this day and age.

I ate dinner here at my last day on vacation here in Essen. The ambiance looks warm and comfortable. The food was delicious and had big portions. I especially loved the garlic aioli that came with the fries. Also, the staff was nice and at was fairly quick to fulfill my order but after, I had to wait for more than 30 mins to get the dessert I ordered. It was fairly busy so I just kinda understood why it took so long. I was also hoping they would offer me a bag for my takeout order since I had a few boxes but I don't know if I should have asked for it instead. Overall a fairly good experience. I might come back the next time I'm in Essen.

Es fällt mir schwer, dies zu schreiben, aber unsere jüngste Erfahrung in diesem Restaurant war wirklich schrecklich. Obwohl das Ambiente zunächst vielversprechend schien, war der Service, den wir erhielten, unglaublich unfreundlich – insbesondere von unserer Kellnerin. Während des Bestellvorgangs änderte ich meine Entscheidung, und ihre Reaktion darauf war schockierend respektlos und demütigend für mich und meine Familie. Die Unfreundlichkeit war so offensichtlich, dass sogar die Kunden am Nebentisch sich dazu entschlossen, das Restaurant zu verlassen. Wir sind sofort aufgestanden und gegangen und haben uns vorgenommen, nie wieder zurückzukehren. Jeder kann mal einen schlechten Tag haben, aber diese Art von Unhöflichkeit ist in der Gastronomiebranche absolut inakzeptabel. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen und werde auch Freunde und Familie davon abraten.

It's an ok place. A bit overwhelming with all the decoration. Unfortunately it took them almost an hour to get back to our table(which has been directly on their 'walking route') to ask for our next order - some drinks have been empty for half an hour at that point- so we decided to get the check and leave. It wasn't even that busy, still a bunch of empty tables... :/

Sehr schönes Restaurant und leckeres Essen. Gehen dort oftmals in der Woche hin, wenn man Mal wieder keine Lust zum Kochen hat. Leckeres Stanberger Hell und Weizen. Die Pizzaschnecken sind top und die Pizza Cheeseburger Style auch. Das Personal um Anja, Basti, Matthias und Celine ist super und sehr zuvorkommend. Manchmal sind auch andere Mitarbeiter da, dann hakt es ein bisschen und man muss teilweise Recht lang warten. Das ist ein bisschen schade. Und das man im Biergarten wirklich permanent nach Geld gefragt wird, ist wirklich unschön und nervt. Aber da kann das Personal nichts für, die geben sich auch hier alle Mühe.

Super, ich bin gerne hier, tolles Ambiente! Ich kann die Bowls empfehlen und die X-Cut Fries mit dem Umami Dip :) Das Frühstücksbuffet mit frischen O-Saft ist auch top. Die Sevicekräfte sind alle super nett :), ich empfehle gerade am WE oder Abends zu reservieren.

Sitzplatzwahl: erst hieß es sucht euch einen Tisch aus(2 Personen mit Hund, 1 Person Schwerbehindert) dann wurden wir von einem Tisch in der Ecke ( 4 Personentisch mit Dekorür im Rücken-wo eh wg der Tür nur 3 Personen sitzen können) dann wurden wir aufgefordert, einen 2er Tisch am Gang zu nehmen. Ernsthaft? Sollen alle über den Hund und den Gehstock stolpern?!

Ein so liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtetes Lokal, mit tollen und leckeren Speisen, viel Wortwitz an den Wänden und einer netten Bewirtung. Wenn ich mal wieder in Essen bin, dann komme ich gerne wieder.

Ich war bisher zwei mal im MAs und sehr zufrieden. Der vegane Burger war sehr lecker und das Frühstücksbuffet war total vielseitig. Ich war total begeistert, wie viel Auswahl es beim Frühstück gab, vor allem auch an veganen Alternativen (verschiedene Aufstriche, veganen Aufschnitt). Zudem ist der Service sehr aufmerksam. Teller standen nie lange auf dem Tisch und beim Buffet wurde immer wieder nachgefüllt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Liebevoll und wunderbar mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und jetzt, in meiner direkten neuen Nachbarschaft, mein neuer Lieblingsladen für ein Bierchen oder einen Wein zwischendurch. Die Angestellten sind alle überaus freundlich und großartig. Preislich schon etwas gehoben aber für zwischendurch völlig okay. Die Burger waren leider nicht so gestapelt wie man es von Burgern gewohnt ist. Bei jedem Schnitt sind sie verrutscht und immer mehr in sich zusammengefallen. Aber lecker waren sie. Sehr angenehmes Publikum anwesend hier. Gemütlich, warm und fast schon etwas romantisch ist’s hier. Jedoch ist die Akustik ziemlicher Quark. Recht laut, auch drinnen im hintersten Zipfel.

Wir waren abends gegen 21 Uhr zu zweit dort und haben auch sofort einen Platz bekommen. Leider war dieser Zweiertisch so zwischen zwei weiteren Zweiertischen gelegen, dass man unwollend dauernd mithört, was direkt neben einem gesprochen wird. Dazu ist es so laut im gesamten Laden, dass man sich nicht ruhig miteinander unterhalten kann. Wir hatten beide einen Burger, ich einen Hamburger und meine Freundin einen veganen Cheeseburger. Bei der veganen Alternative gab es die Patties nur aus Brokkoli oder sowas, sah von innen eher aus wie eine Fischfrikadelle und schmeckte meiner Freundin auch nicht so gut. Mei Hamburger schmeckte ebenfalls als wenn man einfach ein Fertigpatty brät und auf ein Brötchen legt. Das Essen war eher unterer Durchschnitt. wir hatten uns die Speisekarten vorher online angesehen, doch haben dann im Lokal erkannt, dass die vegane Auswahl doch nicht ganz so groß ist. Wenn man laktoseintolerant ist, fallen ebenfalls viele Dinge wie Milchshakes , Pfannkuchen und einiger Nachtisch bereits weg. Hier wurde mir dann angeboten, dass man eine vegane Milchalternative nehmen könnte für einen Milchshake. In der Karte hatte ich aber zumindest entdeckt, dass man bei Kaffeespezialitäten auch laktosefreie Milch wählen könne, was ich dann bei Milchshakes sehr schade finde, denn der Geschmack ist bei veganer Milchalternative natürlich dennoch anders als bei Kuhmilch. Die Bedienungen waren alle sehr nett, das war das Positivste an unserem Besuch hier. Preislich finde ich das Restaurant leider auch total überzogen für das, was geboten wird. Wir werden wohl nicht mehr hierher kommen.

Wir kamen Sonntag um 10 Uhr zum Frühstücksbuffet für 17€ pro Person. Es gibt 1 O-Saft inklusive und ein beeindruckendes Buffet. Da blieb kein Wunsch offen! Es gab sogar Pizza, viele vegane Alternativen, große Brotauswahl und sogar French Toast. Buffet wird konstant aufgefüllt. Die Einrichtung ist idyllisch modern und witzig im regionalen Schnack (Erfrischungsgesöff, Puffbrause, Muttis Süppchen, Knirpsgerichte.). Es gab sogar Steckdosen und USB Anschluss am Tisch zum Arbeiten mit dem Laptop oder für die Uni. Wir saßen direkt neben der Theke, also waren die Kaffeeautomaten etwas laut, aber wir hatten ja auch keine Reservierung und Glück, dass wir überhaupt einen Tisch bekommen haben. Die Servicekräfte waren sehr zuvorkommend und wir haben unsere Getränke schnell erhalten. Die Toiletten waren sauber und gut ausgestattet. Wir waren etwa 2 Stunden hier. Wir hoffen, es gibt in Zukunft eine angepasste Variante an Braunschweig!

Essen war sehr lecker aber der Service war mega überfordert. Lange Wartezeiten bis überhaupt jemand zum Bedienen kam. An so einem gefüllten Platz an einem Montagabend echt schlecht. Schade.

Ich war vor vergangener Zeit wieder mit meiner Familie bei Ihnen im Restaurant und bin von Ihrem ambiente und Ihrer Auswahl an Essen und Getränken beeindruckt. Jedoch musste wir bei der Bestellung abstriche machen da wir von einer unfreundlichen und recht unmotivierten Kellnerin bedient wurden. Wir mussten schon etwas länger warten da die Kellnerin ständig verschwunden ist und mit leeren Händen zurückgekommen ist und uns gar nicht beachtet hat. Was ich noch hinzufügen muss das Sie im allgemeinen einen eher mürrischen und unmotivierten ton von sich gibt und dies einfach nicht zu Ihrem Restaurant passt, weil ich anderes von Ihrem Personal gewohnt bin. Ich hatte die selbe Bedienung ein paar mal angewunken die sie mit Sicherheit wahrgenommen hatte, sie ist aber erst nach 10 Minuten erst wieder aufgetaucht. Nach einer weile wollten wir zahlen aber dann hat es wieder gedauert bis sie wieder erschienen ist. kurz und knapp das Restaurant an sich ist Klasse jedoch müsste das Personal entweder geschult werden oder neues angeschafft werden mit so einer Kellnerin möchte ich den laden nicht erneut betreten...

Es ist der perfekte Ort, um sich mit Freunden zu treffen oder alleine eine Auszeit zu genießen. Aber was Ma wirklich auszeichnet, ist das Oreo Cafe. Dieser köstliche Drink ist ein wahrer Genuss für die Sinne. Er ist reichhaltig und cremig, mit einer unwiderstehlichen Kombination aus Kaffee und Oreo-Geschmack. Die Garnierung aus zerbröselten Oreo-Keksen und Sahne macht das Erlebnis perfekt. Es ist definitiv ein Muss für alle, die Oreo und Kaffee lieben. Das Personal im Café Ma ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Sie sind bereit, Empfehlungen auszusprechen und sicherzustellen, dass die Gäste sich wohl fühlen. Obwohl das Oreo Cafe zweifellos das Highlight ist, bietet das Café Ma auch eine breite Auswahl an anderen Getränken und Snacks, die alle köstlich aussehen. Wirklich ein sehr gemütliches Lokal mit einer guten Auswahl an Frühstück und anderen Speisen. Das Personal ist auch super freundlich, allerdings kann man lange darauf warten, dass man gefragt wird, ob man noch etwas trinken möchte und alle flitzen so schnell an einem vorbei, dass man kaum die Gelegenheit bekommt zu fragen. Trotzdem sehr empfehlenswert und ich würde auch jederzeit wiederkommen :)

Der Service ist richtig auf Zack, hochmotiviert und freundlich. Die verschiedenen Dips sind richtig lecker. Ich kann die x-fries sehr empfehlen. Die Burger kann man wahlweise auch mit Brot oder Toastbrot bestellen. Die Einrichtung ist kreativ und witzig umgesetzt. Wohnzimmer, Küche, Bad...inklusive einer Badewanne und einem großen Topf in dem man sitzen kann. Empfehlenswert ist auch die cocktail happy hour ab 21 Uhr.
