Waiter was very motivated at first when we came in but then it slowed down. When ordering at the counter we were directed to the waiter who was never there. Bad service. When paying, all the employees were very quick when it came to money, service was zero.

First of all, they didn't realize we had a reservation, and what happened next was so awful. We've been there several times, but this time we were definitely not welcome, so it was my last time there. This server from August 22, 2025, was so disrespectful, I have to say antisocial, in her behavior towards guests, and not just at our table. She ruined the entire atmosphere at the table. She had no idea what she was doing. We were there for four hours and were never asked again after our first order if we wanted anything else. When we ordered something else, it didn't arrive, and we had to ask, to which she replied we hadn't ordered. I could go on, but it's not worth it. When I asked her about her behavior, she said she didn't even know which table we were at. 🙄 It's a shame for the luupz team that I have to leave this as a review, but I've never experienced anything like this in my own 35 years as a server. I know how difficult this job is, but someone like that doesn't belong in the service industry. We were really looking forward to the evening, but she completely dampened the mood after just 10 minutes of our arrival, and it continued throughout the entire evening.

Unfortunately, one of the waiters was very inappropriate. I was on a first date, and even though my counterpart made it clear during the conversation with the waiter that we were on a date, the waiter repeatedly flirted with him. I found this disrespectful and inappropriate, especially in a professional setting.

The three of us had dinner in the evening. We like the concept, restaurant and cocktail bar. The cocktails were delicious and so was all the food. Service varied depending on the person between very friendly and disinterested. It took some time before we could reorder. But overall a good alternative

Were there for the first time! The service is excellent and the atmosphere is very nice. The menu contains a clear number of dishes, which is absolutely no disadvantage! The food was really good and came in a reasonable time. The waiter(s) warn very friendly and really attentive. There is only a small deduction for the sanitary area! Here even all scented baits that have been laid out fail and have no chance whatsoever! This really needs to be improved. But we'll still come back!!

Nice atmosphere, very nice service and a really original drinks menu! Price-performance is debatable. The alcoholic drink in the picture cost €12.90. 🤔

Cocktails way too expensive for 80% ice cubes. Too bad. Unfortunately, the Ipanema was not originally made with cane sugar but with syrup. The staff was super friendly, the location was beautiful. I can't rate the food because I haven't eaten there yet.

I recently visited Luups in the Saarlandstraße district and was absolutely thrilled! The modern and creative ambience immediately creates a pleasant atmosphere. The menu offers a great selection of dishes that are fresh and tasty. I was particularly impressed by the vegetarian menu - it shows how diverse and delicious plant-based cuisine can be. The combinations are creative and innovative! The service was outstanding. The team was very friendly and attentive, and I received great advice. It feels like you are part of a small community here. Overall, Luups is a fantastic place to have new culinary experiences. I can only recommend it and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Great shop! Really good food, although some portions won't satisfy every adult. The drinks menu offers a lot of choice in all areas and the mixed drinks are top!

Take an original Hövels beer and it is a beer that needs to rest when it is being poured into the glass so it should have body but on the contrary, it has no flavor at all, it is like drinking water.

Good location directly between the city center and the Saarlandstraße district. You can also sit outside, but right on the main street. The atmosphere is cozy and there is a wide selection of drinks. Among other things, Bergmanns beer and Brinkhoffs are also served, which I welcome. The food tastes good, but is not cheap. A house salad with 5 (excellent!) small pieces of corn-fed chicken costs €16.70. The Luups salad with tofu costs €18.70. The service is extremely friendly, but understaffed: the food came before the drinks. Overall not bad, but considering the pricing it's not quite enough for 5 stars.

Drinks took a long time, but were very tasty and good value for money. I had a large salad (13.70€) plus sheep's cheese as a topping (5€), my companion had the "starter platter" with two types of dips, bread and raw vegetables (I think with sheep's cheese also around 16€). When the food came, there was great disappointment. The portions were puny. The "raw food" consisted of 2 peppers, 2 kohlrabi, 2 cucumber and 2 carrot strips, 2 thin dips spread on the plate and three pieces of naan bread. My salad was about the size of a side salad. Really outrageous for a salad that costs almost €20. A woman at the next table had ordered the same salad and when it was served she asked if THAT was really the big salad - the waitress got an irritated look, to whom I then gave the same response. In terms of taste, the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either, it was rather boring. Not even being full for the price is not recommended.

Suddenly it rained. We chose to drink beer and sit for a while. The garden is very enjoyable. I loved the peanuts they brought with the beer. They were very delicious with different sauces. The waiters were extremely kind. We are satisfied.

Soooo slow waitresses who spent more time on their cell phones entering orders than acknowledging guests. Currywurst was everything, just not currywurst, more like tomato sauce.

This place in Dortmund is very nice with choices for all palates! The waitress who served us was very kind and the food was also good, served in very large portions Abundant! We should certainly pay more attention to the issue of allergens that were not present and have a paper in English that would have helped us.

We went there for dinner for the first time “after taking over” the Luup. As a starter there was the snack platter. Unfortunately, the dips with the baked goat cheese tasted like ready-made products from the supermarket. The main course was the Luups salad, which was drowned by the delicious fruit dressing. The other main course was Pulpo and Tonno - tasted impeccable, a bit expensive for the size of the dish. The service was okay - not too intrusive, but not really personal either. The dessert (tiramisu) was OK. It's a shame, I used to really like the Luups, but the spirit has been lost. The cocktails deserve special mention, which were really tasty.

So the atmosphere is very inviting and the staff is nice. BUT, when I order a portion of gnocchi here for over €15 and get a portion that is so small that I really wondered if that was really all there was to it, that was really, really, really disappointing. (But they still tasted good). And by the way, the toilets don't look that good either.

Dear Luups team, Thank you very much for this perfectly organized birthday brunch. I would never have expected such attention to detail. The preliminary discussions with Holger went smoothly and relaxed. I only gave a little input and received a very fair and detailed offer in advance and was able to contact him at any time with any questions. Although I was familiar with the food and drink selection, my expectations were once again exceeded on site. The brunch was really well prepared, my playlist was played, there were food and drink menus on every table, the birthday decorations were subtle, just as I wanted them and the staff was super friendly, quick and always available to answer questions. I would celebrate my birthday with you again at any time.

We came across this shop by chance. We wanted to go to another one on the same street. But this one was inexplicably closed. Well, we went to Luups. We were immediately warmly welcomed and allowed to choose a table. Shortly afterwards we were given the menu to order drinks and food. All in all a very good service. As a starter there was bread with dips and raw vegetables. We then had our main courses. In terms of taste, I have rarely eaten anything better, so 12/10 points. The portion sizes were okay, could have been a little more but it was enough. It's not the cheap Greek place around the corner that serves fried meat. Everything was fresh and homemade. I've never eaten chicken so deliciously. You still weren't hungry when you went out. So all in all very satisfied and positively surprised. Will definitely come back again.

Das Personal ist nicht nur freundlich, sondern auch äußerst zuvorkommend, und die Cocktails, oh, die sind einfach atemberaubend! Diese Bar ist definitiv ein Zufluchtsort aus dem tristen Alltag. Egal, ob du nach einer köstlichen Mahlzeit suchst oder einfach nur nach einem einzigartigen Erlebnis, hier wirst du fündig! Beim nächsten Besuch steht definitiv auch das kulinarische Angebot auf meiner Liste, ich kann es kaum erwarten!

Der schlechteste Cocktail den ich je getrunken habe ! Zu einem Wahnsinnspreis !... geschüttelte schnapssorten mit unmengen von Eisbrocken und Trockenobst. Richtig ekelhaft. Auf keinen Fall nochmal.

Sehr aufmerksamer Kellner. Wundervolles Essen. Optisch schön zubereitet und geschmacklich auch köstlich kombiniert. Hier ist für jeden etwas dabei. Karnivoren kommen genauso auf ihre Kosten wie Veganer und Vegetarier. Das Ambiente ist freundlich und man fühlt sich direkt wohl!

Super Ambiente und absolut freundlicher Service.

Nettes kleines Restaurant, Essen war recht lecker aber etwas kleine Portion für den Preis. Bei mir und einem Kollegen wurde ebenfalls auch die Gnocchi vergessen, würde ich darauf schieben das wir mit 20 Leuten da war. Nach dem wir das angesprochen hatten haben wir diese aber auch unmittelbar geliefert bekommen. Die Getränke und Cocktails waren super lecker, leider wurden nur öfter mal Getränke vergessen oder erst sehr spät geliefert. An einem ruhigeren Tag, denke ich das der Service viel besser ausfällt, waren vielleicht doch etwas von der Anzahl der Kunden überfordert. Schade eigentlich.

Der beste Whisky Sour den ich je Getrunken habe. Wir waren an einem Freitag Abend da. Uns wurde ohne Reservierung ein super Platz angeboten. Ganz lieben dank an Christina. Erstklassiger Serviece!

Ein wirklich schöner und gemütlicher Laden mit einem wahrlich erstklassigen Service! Sehr große Getränkeauswahl, dafür eine kleine aber sehr nette Speisekarte. Alles in allem eher hochpreisig. Anrichteweise, Darstellung usw. ist wirklich klasse, die Qualität der Speisen und Getränke ebenso. Waren schon mehrmals hier und werden da auch so beibehalten :-)

Wir sind nach einem Konzert auf dem Weg zu unserem Hotel zufällig gelandet,es war kurz vor Kneipenschluss und es war die Kirsche auf der Sahnetorte. Toller Service,leckere Getränke in großer Auswahl, und superfreundliches angagiertes Personal. Danke dafür

Sehr leckere Cocktails, viel Auswahl! Ruhig mal nach Empfehlungen bei den KellnerInnen fragen! Nicht unbedingt günstig, aber gute Cocktails sind auch ein Handwerk.

Sehr angenehm zum Sitzen und, bei ein paar Gläschen, nett zu reden. Es gibt einige Sorten Whisky und Gin, die ich auch noch probieren werde. Ein schöner Ort und nette Menschen.🥂

Schöne Anrichtung der Speisen, aber bei der Vorspeise war das Gemüse angetrocknet und beim Salat ebenso. Die „Brotvariation“ fehlte. Das Hähnchen für den Preis m.E. Zu wenig (4-5 kleine Würfel) und zu kross gebraten! Die Nudeln waren „al dente“aber nicht heiß

Essen war gut, aber nur seeehr kleine und etwas spezifische Auswahl. Sehr nettes, zuvorkommendes Personal! Draußen ist es wegen des Verkehrs sehr laut, vor allem wenn der BVB spielt. Die Toilette ist interessant gebaut und erinnert eher an einen WWII Bunker... Man macht nichts falsch, gibt aber bessere Restaurants.

Nettes Lokal mit übersichtlicher Karte. Lokale Biere wie Bermanns, Hövel und Brinkmanns vom Fass. Service super und schnell. Nicht aufdringlich aber aufmerksam. Zur richtigen Zeit am Gast. Gerne wieder.

Das Luups ist sehr gemütlich und der Service sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Es gibt eine kleine Speisekarte mit leckeren Gerichten wie Salate, Suppe, Hauptspeisen hnd Desserts und eine sehr umfangreiche Wein- und Cocktailkarte. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es lediglich für die relative hohen Preise im Verhältnis zur Größe der Speisen.

Ich war gestern Abend mit meiner Freundin dort zum Essen. Ich hatte das Wiener Schnitzel vom Weidekalb mit Bratkartoffeln. Es war eine ordentliche, nein, es war eine perfekte Portion. Ich musste einen Teil der Bratkartoffeln leider auf dem Teller zurückgelassen :). Ich bin ein guter Esser und war mehr als satt. Das vorher angestrebte Tiramisu wurde demnach -leider- weggelassen. Nicht nur die Portion glänzte durch Üppigkeit, auch die Art der Darreichung und der Qualität was ein Genuss. Meine Freundin war ebenso mehr als zurfrieden mit ihrem Essen. Wir verließen mit einem Dank an den Koch und dem Service-Personal die Lokalität und genossen den Heimspaziergang. Fazit für uns: Toller Laden, tolles Personal und gute Preise, wir kommen wieder!

Obwohl der Laden voll war und wir nicht reservieren konnten, hat die sehr freundliche Kellnerin uns direkt einen Tisch ermöglicht. Die Getränke und das Essen sind fancy und trotzdem nicht zu teuer. Da ich aus Hamburg komme, war ich positiv überrascht von den Preisen, aber das ist schwierig zu vergleichen. Insgesamt ein enorm empfehlenswerter Laden!

Ein gemütlich eingerichtetes Lokal mit freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service. Es wird eine umfangreiche Getränkekarte mit verschiedenen Cocktails und einer guten Auswahl an Weinen geboten. Ich persönlich würde eine etwas größere Auswahl an Speisen gut finden (die man zu seinem Getränk snacken kann) aber das ist nur mein persönliches Empfinden.
