Luisenpark Bistro in Mannheim

A typical snack bar with typical offerings (currywurst, pizza, fries, etc.). It's not bad in itself; the food tastes as you'd expect. The prices aren't right. For example: €4.00 for a giant cheese pretzel, which is large but also very airy. It doesn't feel like it has much more dough than a regular pretzel. The owner is friendly and accommodating, but his staff is unfortunately unmotivated and shows it. However, it's a very pleasant place to sit. In nice weather, you can overlook the excessively high prices; otherwise, I'd recommend the restaurants in the park. Card payments aren't accepted; if you don't have cash, you're supposed to pay into a private(!) PayPal account and state "for friends and acquaintances." Sorry, but that's not possible.

I spent my birthday at Luisenpark. A lovely atmosphere to relax and unwind. Delicious food and bottled drinks. Plus, the service was very friendly and welcoming, with a great atmosphere. I'd love to come back 🥳

My expectations were very low. After all, you're in the middle of the park, like a monopoly. My expectations weren't exceeded. Before you starve or die of thirst, you can visit the bistro. But I still won't go there again.

Didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised. Tomato soup was hot and delicious, the bread was absolutely crispy and fresh. Pumpkin tagliatelle was delicious, a large portion, and perfectly hot. My husband had the BUGA pancake. A large portion, filled with Maultasche (a kind of pasta dish) and not rolled three times in pasta dough, and the schnitzel was thin, very crispy, and delicious. Note: On Fridays, there are special fish dishes, and on Saturdays, various roast beef dishes. Not to mention the view of pelicans and flamingos. We'll be back.

A glass of new wine with warm onion cake and friendly conversation with tips for 8,-€ in green surroundings we thought was fair....gladly again👍😋

One star is still too many (for the food and service). The atmosphere is typical of a beer garden. Frozen pizza (look at the pictures) costs €12 and up, and the rest of the food is also just cheap stuff at the highest price. Untrained and unmotivated staff. Card payments are not accepted, but I can also pay with PayPal instead.

First visit to Luisenpark after the Buga. It's no longer the Luisenpark I remembered from before. Okay. But a visit to the park still makes you hungry. Off to the snack bar, since the other "restaurant" is priced at typical restaurant prices. Hmm. The snack bar here is just as expensive, though. Fries €4.50. Bratwurst €5. (Frozen) pizza from €12. If only it had tasted any better. Selling convenience food from Metro(?) at an overpriced rate is disrespectful to park visitors. They still buy the food, due to a lack of options.

Fries were okay, currywurst was okay, and bratwurst was rather mediocre. Overall, the taste was only mediocre, but the price was outrageously high. At €5.50, the bratwurst was more expensive and of lower quality than the stadium sausage at the SVW next door. My request after the BuGa 2023: Reintroduce socially acceptable prices and improve the quality of your food, especially the bratwurst!

So 4.50 euros for a portion of fries is pretty outrageous. But at least they were soggy and salty 😅

Food at snack level at exorbitant prices. The organization is completely overwhelmed by the number of visitors to a Buga, but the employees do their best but can hardly cope with the lousy organization. 2x queues to order and pick up, approx. 45 minutes each.

Great selection of vegetarian dishes. Really tasty. Staff young and fast. Service was very accommodating and tables and chairs were really clean and tidy for so much activity.

Bei schönem Wetter ein kühles Bier trinken, ist schon der Hamner. Sehr zügige Mitarbeiter. ABER: Bezahlmöglichkeit nur Bar und EC. Keine Kreditkarte. Das ist nicht zeitgemäß und ich hoffe hier kommt die Deutschlandgeschwindigkeit noch an.

Ist Teil der BUGA. Ganz nett gemacht, aber der Eintrittspreis ist viel zu hoch und die Preise für Essen und Getränke stehen in keinem Verhältnis zur Qualität.

War okay aber nichts besonderes

Super freundliche Bedienung, schneller Service. Essen sehr gut. Allerdings die Preise BuGa-typisch unverschämt.

Neben typischer Wurst, Pommes und co gibt es zusätzlich noch das Angebot für Süßkartoffel Pommes oder Pizza. Die Preise sind wie üblich für Parks etwas gehobener, aber nicht überteuert oder ungerecht. Das Essen ist wirklich lecker und man kann überdacht geschützt vor Sonne und Regen sitzen. Es gilt Selbstbedienung

Für ein Café mit Massenansturm (BUGA) ganz in Ordnung.

Die Preise entsprechen gehobener Gastronomie, dafür ist das Essen mit normales Pommesbuden-Niveau. Mitarbeiter können nicht rechnen, so dass man gern mal den einen oder anderen Euro zuviel bezahlt. Am Wochenende ist zur Mittagszeit eine Schlange beim Bezahlen und eine noch längere Schlange beim abholen.

Das angebotene Essen dauert für ein Bistro zu lange. Zu kleine oder zu wenige Öfen bei der Menschenmenge

Gute Adresse, wenn man im Sommer den Spaziergang mit Freunden mal mit einer Grillsession verbinden will. Aber leider oft lange im voraus ausgebucht. Kiosk ist um die Ecke, dort verkauft man sogar Grillkohle.

It’s a lovely cozy grill place and super kid friendly, since it’s right next to playgrounds. My department had a gathering there, it could host at least 30-40 people.

Go when the weather is nice and do not miss the boat ride

Reservierung erforderlich. Im Sommer oft lange im voraus ausgebucht. Der Grillplatz wird von einem Parkmitarbeiter betreut. WC in unmittelbarer Nähe. Kiosk um die Ecke, dort wird sogar Grillkohle verkauft.

Aufgeräumt. Kostet Parkeintritt. Gut für Gruppen geeignet. Kinderspielplatz in der Nähe

Toller Grillplatz inmitten des Luisenparks. Deswegen logischerweise an Parkeintritt gebunden. Mehrere Grillmöglichkeiten mit überdachten Gruppentischen. Direkt am Kiosk sowie an der großen Wiese gelegen :)

Winterlicher..... schön war's.... nur sind leider einigen schon die ....Lichter....erloschen..... schade
