Luigis Golf Restaurant in Groß-Zimmern

The restaurant is beautifully located, and the first impression was good. The staff seemed a bit surly, but I overlooked that. The fact that the service was rather sporadic wouldn't have bothered me much either. However, the fact that I'm now lying awake at night with stomach pain, cramps, and nausea is less pleasant. I had the tagliolini with truffle. I hope I'm an unfortunate isolated case.

We've been satisfied for many years. However, a downward trend is clearly evident. High point: "Medium steak" was clearly served as "medium rare," and we complained. After a considerable wait, it was served thin and cooked through, and we complained. Third version: "Completely raw inside" - no roasted flavors. Returned. This uneaten dish was charged in full on the bill. When asked, the kitchen confidently argued: "Even the first one was perfectly fine - this justifies the full price, regardless of whether it was eaten or not..." Management was unavailable, and they didn't know when they would be available again. An email to management has so far received no response. Too bad.

WAITING TIMES OF 90 MINUTES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE...OTHERWISE A GOOD ITALIAN!

I'm a little torn about what to think of Luigi's Golf Restaurant. The name suggests an Italian restaurant, but there's not enough southern flavor on the menu for that. We ordered the typical things we order at any Italian restaurant: 2 salmon fillets with boiled potatoes, veal liver with fried potatoes, and herring fillet, home-style. 😄👍😀 With the side salad and the welcome greeting, we couldn't fault the food in terms of taste. Opinions about the portion size and the price can be divided, and then we can decide whether to come back or not. The location, on the other hand, is very nice.

It was the first time in a long time that we've been to Groß-Zimmern for a round of golf and then for dinner in the club restaurant. The terrace is a lovely place to linger. The service and food were good, but the portions were unfortunately much too small and not commensurate with the extremely high prices. An extremely small cordon bleu for €32!? In our opinion, there's a need for improvement.

Great food. Great host Luigi. Great service Igor. Luigis is the core Italian for our entire team. Whether at lunchtime or in the evening: it's always fun with a culinary delight!

A culinary masterpiece at Luigi’s! My visit to Luigi’s was a real highlight! As soon as I took the first bite of the veal cordon bleu, I knew that they were cooking here with passion and skill. The meat was wonderfully tender, the breading perfectly crispy - a great combination with the golden brown fried potatoes and the aromatic oven vegetables. A harmoniously coordinated composition that delights both the heart and the palate. But that was just the beginning! The dessert was a true feast for the senses: crêpes with raspberry filling, accompanied by an airy, light mousse made of white chocolate and a velvety vanilla cream - a dream combination of freshness, sweetness and creaminess. And as if that wasn't enough, the Cassata Siciliana topped off this taste experience. An explosion of the finest flavors that completely thrilled me. Conclusion: A perfect meal in a great atmosphere - I'll definitely be back! Anyone who values ​​first-class cuisine and loving preparation should not miss Luigi’s.

I have to give a review now. I thought about it for two nights. It's the second time that I had to wait longer than 100 minutes for my food. It was just a pizza. And it was worse than one from a fast food chain. Little taste, but the floor was like rubber. You could chew properly. Anyway. I complained about it, but Luigi and colleagues ignored it. I was allowed to pay full price. There was no apology either. Only from the service. When I make a pizza at home and the dough is a little old, I have the same problem with the rubbery base. But the pizza doesn't cost 12.50 euros. In my opinion, the mushrooms were also from a can. All in all, very poor quality. I won't eat anything there anymore.

A Tuscan-style architecture of the main building. There is a beautifully designed terrace that can be partially covered. Inside you will find a tasteful interior with beautifully set tables. The menu offers a delicious selection of excellent dishes. The same applies to the drinks on offer. The staff is Italian warm. Landlord Luigi greeted me personally. Some days there is live music. Tuesdays are pizza day. The restaurant is located in the Golf Sport Park Gross Zimmern. If you want to visit, it makes sense to reserve a table in advance. The prices are appropriate for the quality. There is enough free parking space.

Nice view on the terrace. Unfortunately the rump steak and the pork loin were a bit dry. We expect more for the high price. But the fried potatoes were very good. Unfortunately, the staff didn't respond at all to the friendly criticism. The tablecloth was already stained when we arrived. A drinks menu was only available upon request.

Wanting to give a sort of classification to a restaurant for food (of course) and find the number one for location and service, I didn't think I would have to find it (suggested) in a golf sports club, but that's what happened! In less than a quarter of an hour from Darmstadt to the location Gross-Zimmern (you don't have to be a golfer) you will find the - Luigis Restaurant am Golfplatz. German, Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Choose an internal room or a splendid terrace, and, of course, apart from the the food, you will enjoy the service, the presence, and friendliness, that put you at yours ease, of the owner: Mr. Luigi, who can be seen walking around the tables throughout the service and you'll notice the happy expression of the guest. But you're there for the food, then it's a must to use the expression "finger licking good"

We have been to Luigi's several times now and have been thrilled every time. The ambience is very nice, the furnishings just fit together and are very cozy and well-kept. The dishes taste delicious and are well prepared. The friendly conditions are accommodating and very attentive, always checking when something is needed or when the guest has finished eating. The restaurant is also easy to reach by bike. We would love to come back...

We were a large group and without exception everyone enjoyed it very much. The only disadvantage is the noise, the room could use a few sound absorbers.

Super freundlicher Service. Der Salat hatte ein Joghurt Dressing, das nicht dazu gepasst hat und mir auch nicht geschmeckt hat. Die Nudeln waren auch sehr sahnelastig, aber das ist natürlich Geschmackssache. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Obwohl es sehr voll war, kam das Essen für uns (10 Personen) gleichzeitig und die Gläser wurden auch immer sofort nachgefüllt.

Tolle Atmosphäre und Luigi und seine Gattin sind ausgesprochen gastfreundlich, humorvoll und familiär. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert

Ich war schon öfters nachmittags mit eingeladen im Anschluss an eine Beerdigung. Ich bin Trauerrednerin und war immer sehr begeistert von der Mühe, die man sich dort macht und von der Herzlichkeit. Jetzt war ich mit meinem Mann dort, weil ich einen Gutschein geschenkt bekommen hatte. Wir und auch die anderen Gäste wurden herzlich willkommen geheißen. Das Essen war sehr sehr gut und ausnahmslos alle Bedienungen waren wirklich aufmerksam. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend. Danke Luigi für die tolle Begrüßung und ein großes Lob an dein Team. Auch wenn es "rappelvoll" ist, hat der Service alles im Griff und das Essen schmeckt lecker. Im Sommer auf der Terrasse das leckere Essen zu genießen, ist für uns Entspannung pur.

Schönes Restaurant, außerhalb von Groß-Zimmern. Super leckeres Essen! Der außen Bereich ist geschmackvoll, gemütlich und einladend gestaltet. Im Inneren ist es etwas rustikaler.

Cucina italiana e tedesca davvero ottima! Il proprietario gentile e solare sempre pronto a sorridere e scherzare. Il personale ti mette subito a tuo agio. Il cibo è ottimo così come la location. Immerso in un golf club ti fa sentire immerso nel verde e nella tranquillità.

Sitio ideal para ir a cenar en hora alemana (a partir de las 18 horas). Comida italiana mayoritariamente, aunque tambien tienen platos de Alemania (schnitzel). Muy bueno la pasta con trufa.

Obwohl der italienische Wirt beim zweiten Besuch gar nicht da war, hatte ich ein Erlebnis der südländischen Art. Gutes Essen, zuviel Wein, beste Stimmung. Die Besuche waren perfekt. Indoor zweimal und die Krönung ist natürlich der Aussenbereich. Service klappt. Man braucht nicht die Augen zu schliessen, um italienisches Flair zu geniessen, man sollte sie vielmehr offen halten. Luigi und Team ist spectacolo. Schade nur, dass nicht immer Trüffelzeit ist, aber dafür kann das Lokal nicht wirklich etwas. Weiter so....

Die Küche von Luigi‘s Golf Restaurant zaubert nicht nur die besten Speisen. Luigi meistert alles einmalig und ist selbst teil des sehr angenehmen Flair & Ambiente. Im Biergarten sitzt es sich sowas von schön und es gibt ganz große Sonnenschirme, damit man bei dieser Hitze auch gut im Freien sitzen kann. Das Essen ist hervorragend!!!!!

Ich war am 09.10.2020 mit 10 Personen abends in Luigis Restaurant in Groß-Zimmern anlässlich einer Promotion essen. Das Restaurant war übersichtlich besucht. Nachdem ein Hund unserer Runde in zwei Situationen (als wir unsere Plätze eingenommen haben und als Nachzügler ihren Platz eingenommen haben) gebellt hat, hat der Gastwirt die Halter des Hundes ermahnt. Dieses Verhalten des Gastwirtes war meines Erachtens vollkommen überzogen und es hat die Stimmung am Tisch gedämpft. Bei der Reservierung wurde dem Gastwirt ausdrücklich mitgeteilt, dass insgesamt 3 Hunde an dem Abendessen teilnehmen werden - die Reservierung hat er trotzdem angenommen. Die Speisen selbst waren im Großen und Ganzen gut, aber ohne zu glänzen. Mich hat gestört, dass die Kellner bereits mit dem Abräumen des Hauptgangs begonnen hatten, obwohl eine Person noch am Essen war. Der Kellner wollte sogar diesen Teller abräumen, obwohl die Position des Bestecks unmissverständlich „Ich esse noch“ angezeigt hat. Ein Hauptgericht wurde mit den Vorspeisen serviert, sodass dieser Gast beim Hauptgang vor leerem Teller saß. Der Umgang mit den aktuellen Hygienevorschriften war erschreckend: Der Gastwirt saß mehrfach und lange an einem gut besuchten Nachbartisch und hat sich ausführlich und ohne Maske mit den Gästen unterhalten. Anschließend kam er direkt an unseren Tisch (immer noch ohne Maske) und hat abgeräumt. Ich war bereits mehrfach in Luigis Restaurant Gast und habe es deshalb der Gastgeberin weiterempfohlen: Offensichtlich ein Fehler. Der Gesamteindruck und die Gastfreundschaft bei diesem Besuch waren unterirdisch. Schade!

Luigi's Golf Restaurant ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Man fühlt sich auf der Terrasse im Sommer wie in der Toskana. Gutes Essen und ein gastfreundlicher Service. Das Restaurant bietet viel Platz für Veranstaltungen - Hochzeit, Geburtstag etc. Einfach vorbei schauen und genießen.
