The waiter was very nice and attentive. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food. Quality and price-performance ratio are not right. The meat and fried potatoes were prepared in the deep fryer and everything was hardly seasoned. We won't be coming back.

Food little taste. Owner not friendly to staff. When she indicated that the fries were not cooked properly, she said that this happens often. No more options given. You just had to make do with this.

The food is really tasty, there's hardly anything to complain about and the service is really good and the atmosphere is also very good 👍. I can definitely recommend it. 👍

Right from the start you notice the excessive friendliness of the service, which seemed very fake. The food, cheese spaetzle, well I've eaten better food and for the price you can expect better. When paying, the waitress got distracted and actually wanted to give her a tip, but that was the end of it. I was there for the first and last time, there are enough nice restaurants.

Unfriendly service, because when we asked to leave a card at the table, we weren't allowed to keep one; there weren't enough of them, even though there wasn't much going on and there were at least 20 cards on the desk. Something to eat also came, a chanterelle cream sauce, where in our opinion it only said cream sauce with the schnitzel and only on the next page did it say that the cream sauce contains chanterelles. The answer was: “I know my card.” Absolutely no insight and no accommodation for it. It took three attempts before we finally got enough ketchup because apparently the staff isn't qualified enough to give out more than just one bag of ketchup for an entire table of 7 people. The chocolate Kaiserschmarrn tasted like burnt chocolate. There were also almost more almonds on the plate than Kaiserschmarrn. The original Kaiserschmarrn was definitely fried in old fat because it tasted slightly fishy. In addition, the apple compote was MOLDY and FERMENTED!!! And when we wanted to pay the bill at the end, it was apparently too time-consuming that we all wanted to pay separately, so in the middle of the process she was told that she would first take the food at the table next to us. Then you're surprised that they don't get a tip for this bad service and they ask if the service was really that bad. Of course we said yes. And no, we are not confusing the location. In case that should also be claimed in our review. The main courses themselves weren't really bad. But absolutely overpriced as it's no better than usual restaurants at maybe half the price. For these prices we expected far more taste and quality P.s.: I find it very inappropriate and unprofessional for a company that no criticism is acknowledged and that you are publicly insulted for every single criticism. Of course, you also read previous reviews before you visit a new restaurant, and of course it is everyone's right to reveal their own personal experience here and rate it accordingly. 😉

Unfortunately, the visit to this restaurant did not meet our expectations. The service was unfriendly, bored and rude. The dishes were nowhere near the expected quality that would be appropriate for such prices. There was no indication from staff that certain items were unavailable due to seasonal offerings, leading to unnecessary disappointment. There was also no indication that when ordering a cream schnitzel, chanterelle cream schnitzel was served and that no one was asked beforehand whether that was okay. When pointing out that this wasn't ordered, they said "We don't have anything else" instead of offering an alternative or changing the sauce, which was served separately in a very small glass either way. I regret not taking any pictures of the dessert (Kaiserschmarrn), because I don't expect cooked apple pieces in a jelly-like mass from an apple compote. The Kaiserschmarrn with chocolate was just as bad and tasted burnt. On the whole, there were ultimately also difficulties with payment, where the process was stopped in the middle and the order was “briefly” taken at two other tables “so that the kitchen had something to do, hehe” I would not recommend this restaurant let alone visit it again. Unless there is a change in ownership or staff, where customer requests have meaning and the customer is valued. PS: Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, I see here that they cannot handle criticism professionally. I would also ask you to be more careful with such statements and insinuations in public. I explicitly rated my experience with them. Although I was in a group, I still have the right to share my experiences and the experiences I had with the group. The bad review doesn't just refer to a chanterelle cream schnitzel... because I have the feeling that it is assumed that this was my/or our actual problem. Likewise, the treatment of customers or the remaining inconveniences that affected us are not addressed, instead we are insulted in your answers.

Nice atmosphere on the market square. It was unpleasant that there was no information at the beginning that tarte flambée was not available during the asparagus season. We were only told this when we ordered. The service reacted a bit sloppily as it was on the menu. We then ordered something else. Food was good, but not good enough for the price. Only one waitress could take orders, the other three could only serve and clear away. A bit counterproductive when several guests arrive at the same time. All in all it was okay, but I wouldn't choose it again. A little tip to the main operation: Please inform guests in advance of any seasonal changes or dishes being discontinued when the menu is issued so that such misunderstandings do not arise. And no guest expects fake and feigned friendliness, but rather honest and natural behavior.

Initially we were escorted to the table and given both the regular menu and the asparagus menu. Unfortunately, there was no indication on the asparagus menu that due to the asparagus season no tarte flambées would be served (for whatever reason). Unfortunately, a chanterelle cream sauce was served even though a cream sauce was specifically ordered. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't give any indication that there was no pure cream sauce, but only with chanterelles. After this was mentioned to the waitress, they simply pointed out that it was there on the map, but it wasn't shown to us. After I checked again, the different sauces for the Frankfurter Schnitzel were only listed on the next page next to the steaks. We also ordered ketchup for the table, a bag was brought (and a bag of mayonnaise even though none was ordered). We had to reorder twice and again only got one bag (including mayonnaise). 2 of the 3 waitresses couldn't, didn't want to or weren't allowed to take orders and we had to keep waiting for the main waitress. Even when paying and separating the bill, people simply stopped and took the food at two neighboring tables "so that the kitchen has something to do". Paying with an EC card only works inside the building and not outside. When asked about tips, the situation with the sauce was also mentioned and here too the above was said and no card was shown. The food is generally a bit more expensive, but the taste was good. The apple compote in the Kaiserschmarrn tasted like a finished product and not really good. Edit in response to the answer: I think it's a disgrace that you are accusing me/us of something like that! We don't write negative reviews because we enjoy it, but because I/we were simply very dissatisfied with the service and the treatment as a guest. We expressed criticism openly and personally and were only laughed at and portrayed as stupid. The menu you wrote does not show any choice for the Frankfurter Schnitzel (see image in the review as a screenshot from the menu on your website). I gave you 4 stars for the food but only one star for the whole because the service and ability to take criticism was more than questionable. The point about the reference to the asparagus menu and the tarte flambée was just a recommendation that you could mention this to guests and they don't have to read it somewhere on your menu. If you were actually interested in an improvement, then you would accept this criticism and thank them and not accuse the guests of something that is not true!

We were in Steinheim and wanted to eat coffee and cake :) unfortunately there was no cake at Lug ins Land.. but we had Kaiserschmarrn with the coffee.. and it was delicious

We stopped by this location after a trip. The ambience outside was very nice. The service staff was very friendly. I ordered hand cheese with music. The food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was right here.

Very nice, cozy restaurant. The attentive and very warm staff take great care of their guests and the food... very tasty. Whether cordon bleu, schnitzel or the heavenly beef cheeks, a very tasty side salad or delicious desserts, you can only leave here happily full - with the aim of definitely coming back. Very good, high-quality food in a beautiful location. Higher prices that can be represented. BUT: our visit was ultimately marred by the landlady. I cannot see the excessive politeness and customer focus as being sincere. Credit, debit and EC cards are accepted (credit cards are even mentioned on Google), but beware of using credit or debit cards if you're not having a business lunch. Then you are told about the suffering that the banks transfer the money so late and withhold all the fees (see similar review 4 years ago) - instead of being happy about sales and good tips, you as a customer are made to feel guilty and the friendly atmosphere of the customers The hostess goes straight to the opposite. You feel like you have to apologize for paying. As a customer I'm not interested, especially not at these prices, then you simply can't accept credit and debit cards or quite simply - cash only. As a customer, I have not decided that EC cards will be abolished, nor have I decided what the minimum wage or sales tax will be. It's a shame and therefore very disappointing.

Unfortunately my review comes a little late, we ate here in December. So it was my first time, but I have to say it was delicious German cuisine. You're happy to eat something other than just pizza or something like that 😉... That's why I can recommend Lug ins Land if you want to eat German dishes. Unfortunately, the waitress always has to walk up and down the stairs, so it can sometimes take a little longer. Everything was fine for us, so thank you for the evening in December.

Very cozy and quaint restaurant. Friendly service, which unfortunately wasn't flexible enough to accommodate an order request. We asked if a dessert (Kaiserschmarren or curd dumplings) could be served as a main course for one person. We would have liked to have taken a large portion and paid the corresponding amount. Unfortunately this was rejected. A pity! We waited 45 minutes for the food, but it was really worth it! The Wiener Schnitzel was very good, the fried chicken with pumpkin seeds and pumpkin oil was absolutely top! Here we cook with ideas and, above all, freshly. The prices are high. This is especially true for the wines (0.15 l). Overall we were satisfied and will definitely come back!

Very friendly owner and the most rustic atmosphere you can imagine. The garlic sour cream dip is a dream! Rarely eaten something where you can actually taste the garlic spiciness.

Rustic tavern with excellent cuisine. Service responded very accommodatingly to my lack of a reservation on Valentine's Day and was also very accommodating overall. The food was terrific, I would have liked to try the Kaiserschmarrn, but unfortunately it wasn't right. Prices are reasonable.

We went there for lunch on Boxing Day. The service was very friendly, the food came very quickly and was incredibly delicious, we were thrilled and are looking forward to a next visit.

A very cozy restaurant. The only small drawback is the lack of parking spaces. Of course the owner can't do anything about it, the restaurant is located in the middle of Steinheim's old town. I was here at Christmas time and ordered a leg of goose. The meat was TOP, unfortunately there were no potato dumplings (only served dumplings) as a side dish. Not the right side dish for me, I love eating dumplings and lots of sauce with the whole dish. Everyone's tastes are different and I'm just reflecting mine here. The price level is in the upper third. But the quality is highly recommended.

Wir hatten eine Reservierung für 8 Personen um 19:30 h zum Abendessen. Leider konnte nur einer von uns eines der Hauptgerichte "Lammfilet...." bestellen, da nicht mehr vorhanden war. Wir hatten unter anderem Kalbfleisch, Schnitzel, Salate. Leider war alles viel zu fettig (Spätzle und Schnitzel). Die Gerichte waren grundsätzlich etwas knapp bemessen, zumindest die Portionen mit dem Lammfilet und dem Kalb könnten bei den Preisen etwas "bestückter" sein. Der Kaiserschmarrn sieht optisch viel besser aus als er geschmeckt hat (leider!), er war etwas trocken und die dazugehörige wirklich mini Portion Apfelkompott war nicht "soßig" genug. Die Getränkebestellungen zwischendurch haben etwas lang gedauert. Ansonsten die Damen der Bedienung waren sehr net und freundlich. Das urige etwas enge Ambiente (wir saßen drinnen) ist ok. Die liebevoll gestaltete Tischdecko sieht sehr nett aus, nimmt aber am Tisch viel Platz weg und die Chefin möchte es ungern wegräumen damit die Teller, Gerichte und Getränke mehr Platz haben. Unser Fazit, diese Art der Essenszubereitung ist nicht unser Geschmack. Aber im Sommer, draußen sitzend, werde ich gerne wiederkommen und diese sehr leckere frisch gepresste "Apfelschorle mit Schuss" genießen.

Wir waren zu viert hier. Vier verschiedene Vorspeisen, vier verschiedene Hauptspeisen und zwei Desserts. Alles war sehr lecker. Der Service top.

Toprestaurant mit günstigen Preisen am Rand der Steinheimer Altstadt. Wir waren zu einer Hochzeit eingeladen. Super Essen, super Service. Wenn wir in der Nähe wohnen würden, dann wäre es vermutlich unser Lieblibgsrestaurant!

Empfehlenswert! Bodenständige hessische Küche inmitten der bezaubernden Altstadt. Besonders Hervorzuheben ist hier der gemütliche Biergarten am Füße des Friedendenkmals.

Lug ins Land 11.08.2023 Eher ausgefallene ideenreiche Karte mit hessischen und traditionellen Speisen. Brot beim Handkäse war super frisch und lecker. Vorgewärmter Teller! Das Original Wiener Schnitzel war bestens zubereitet. Mann Sitz schön mitten in der Altstadt von Steinheim. Der junge Kellner war ausgesprochen freundlich zu mir. Jederzeit wieder!

Habe dort nichts gegessen. Aber die Getränke sind gut. Die Mitarbeiterinnen sind sehr freundlich und trotz des weiten Wegs in den Biergarten recht schnell.

Lauschige Gaststätte mit urgemütlicher Außenfläche zum Draußensitzen. Das Frankfurter Schnitzel, die Käsespätzle und vor allem der Kaiserschmarrn, mit oder ohne Schoko sind seeeehr zu empfehlen; jedenfalls von mir. Danke auch für den freundlichen Service, der flott und im Sinne des Gastes ist!

Preis Leistungsverhältnis passt überhaupt nicht. Total überteuert. Salat mit ein paar Hähnchenstreifen 20,00€ ?! Cordon bleu durch die Fritte gejagt. Pommes total hölzern. Salat bestand aus schrumpelige Tomate und vielleicht 3 Blättern und Strunkteile. Schade, ist eine schöne Lokation. Aber wie gesagt, die Preise total überzogen und entsprechend nicht der Qualität der Speisen.

Schnitzel mit grüner Soße war einwandfrei. Nettes Ambiente zum draußen sitzen. Personal sehr freundlich und nett.

Ich war heute mit meiner Freundin spontan dort Essen. Wir waren vom Ambiente dem Service und dem Essen sehr beeindruckt. Man kann sehr gut draußen sitzen im Sommer mit einem schönen ruhigen Altstadtambiente. Gerne wieder! :)

Einfach vorbeikommen und essen. Wir kamen ohne Reservierung dahin und bekamen einen Platz im Schatten angeboten (Biergarten). Netten und angenehmen Plausch untereinander Essen und Trinken Klasse Service ebenso Selbst die "Flaniermeile" macht einen angenehmen Eindruck. Immer wieder gerne 😊

Lecker Essen in schöner Atmosphäre der Altstadt. Man kann schön draußen sitzen. Drinnen total uhrig und gemütlich. Die grüne Soße war sehr lecker. Personal mega freundlich. Könnte etwas günstiger sein.
