Great brunch. Good selection and tasty

Until a long time ago, I was a total L'osteria fan because I thought the pizza there was so delicious. Apparently the recipe for the pizza was changed, the pizza always had that special L'osteria taste that was unique. Unfortunately the pizza doesn't taste like it used to, I always came to you especially for the Margherita. Now it's just disappointing and the pizza no longer has any special taste. What a shame! The service has also been really bad the last few times. It really depends on the waiter or waitress. Too bad! I would have liked to come back again.

Although the restaurant was not too busy, the food was served too late! As we had two hungry children with us, we ordered a simple appetizer (bread and butter) which we didn’t expect to take so long, but it did! Only 40 minutes for a simple appetizer to be served! When the appetizers were served, we had no plates to eat! The main food was served after 1 hour and 15 minutes! And not all orders were served at once. Two of us had to wait longer. Again not enough plates and forks. The food was yummy but the service was so poor. We had to even wait for receiving the bill and payment!!!! Not recommended if you are hungry or have limited time.

The restaurant is quite loud, the quality of the brunch food is okay, but nothing that I would have wanted to eat again made it onto my plate. One waiter was very welcoming, the other staff treated us more like customers. It would be quite easy to reduce quantity in favor of quality.

Had a salad for 13.80.. Drink for 5.80 and a pizza for 12... I didn't calculate it beforehand, but I noticed at home that the waitress simply added a 6 euro tip for us... I was wondering why who didn't even ask... outrageous. I'm never coming back

Our online order arrived cold after about 80 minutes and the herb butter was missing from the pizza rolls (really a good herb butter that I was looking forward to). It's a real shame, we usually like to order.

The food is always good there, but the service can be most of the time very poor ( we had to wait very long for our food or the waiter/waitress forgot something etc.). On top of that the music can be there too loud, making it impossible to have a conversation.

I always enjoy eating at L'osteria, in my experience the pasta dishes are fantastic, the atmosphere is very pleasant and there is also a good selection of meatless dishes. Our server today, Gamze, was very friendly. Always my pleasure :)

We sat there for 2 hours. After 40 minutes the starter came… then nothing more. After waiting over an hour for our main course (salad and pizza), we asked the cellars when we could expect our food. After consulting with the kitchen, they informed us that the kitchen couldn't find our order, but we could now order again. In the end, the waiter forgot to book our order correctly. We asked for the bill and left. I'll save further details about the evening here.

What good is the best food if the service is a complete disaster? On Saturday evening the three of us had dinner at the Osteria. It should be a “lasting experience”. I've been to a lot of restaurants, but I've never experienced anything like this. Starting with such an impudent tone, to beers that are served far below the mark, to probably flippant but completely inappropriate comments, to a half-full bottle of San Pellegrino that was simply cleared away without asking, to the obvious attempt to... a somewhat - let's call it - imaginative bill to top up the tip. My tip: Take a close look at the bill there. Or don't go there at all, because there are certainly worthwhile restaurants in Mülheim. Conclusion: A flat grade of 6, even the really good food is of no use.

Attentive and fast service, delicious starters and really good main courses. Play opportunities for children are available and are well received. Very tasty extras such as various oils are brought directly to the table and recommended without asking. Price-performance is generally okay. If you can recommend it, you won't go wrong.

We sat outside as the weather was nice, surprisingly quite despite being located on a main road. Pizza looks huge, but we only enjoyed a drink this time, We had a little confusion over the bill but this was quickly resolved

Wow what a great experience! You already know the chain or we do and like to go to L’Osteria. You know what you are getting and, above all, it is a top value for money course. Especially when eating out has become so expensive, you really get a lot for your money here. But what we particularly like about the branch is the great attitude of the employees on site and the child-friendliness. We saw that you can even celebrate your child's birthday here. We'll do that next time, unfortunately we've just finished it... at home with a mess, of course - next time we'll be here! For the children there is a children's corner and large playground both outside and inside. Our Labrador was also well looked after - water was brought to us straight away at around 27 degrees before we were even at the table. That's what I call really good service!!! In Mülheim you can feel the attention to detail in every nook and cranny, and it starts outside on the terrace, where you sit like you're in a Mediterranean garden. Only the street might be a bit quiet, but the restaurant is easily accessible. Keep it up, we've only just discovered the branch, but we'll definitely be back! And you can also have brunch here for just €19.50 including coffee!? But we still have to test that.

I'm sure other dishes taste good on site in the store, but I'm only rating what I tried and in terms of delivered pasta it was one of the worst delivered pasta dishes (also in connection with the price). I ever had. Instead of pasta with a creamy sauce, I got pasta dipped in oil - there was no sauce at all

Food was really flavourful. Great pizzas! Being vegetarians who can't have eggs, has many options on the menu. That's good. Staff were polite and were happy to cater to our requests. Atmosphere is very inviting.

Everyone in terms of service was super nice, but it was really chaotic! It took half an hour before you could even order and another half hour before the drinks arrived. The first meal was incomplete, the second drink order was wrong, etc.

One of the most beautiful Losteria experiences so far - from the super cool supervisor/shift manager/restaurant manager to the super nice service person (Victoria) - first of all, thank you very much for the super warm welcome. The food came really quickly - as always, delicious! For us, the best Losteria service of all our visits so far. Thanks for that. We'll be back.

Unfortunately we were disappointed today. We had specially reserved a table at the playground, which was given to others. The food was very tasty, but we couldn't eat it together because it came in 3 stages over 35 minutes - the kids gave it at the end. The ravioli had to be remade in the kitchen and arrived on the plate more than al dente. As compensation there was an (!) Expresso on the house. It's a shame, I always liked coming but probably no longer on weekends...

We celebrated a birthday here last Saturday. David U. was our waiter and was just great! We were asked at regular intervals if we could have something more to drink, a birthday song was played and at the end we were all full and very happy! Thank you!

Thin giant pizzas with wide sides. Food is freshly prepared and takes time, which is why I find it unsuitable for a quick meal during the lunch break. The loud music inside prevents any conversation.

For a long time it was very good with food and service. Recently there has been an increase in total failures among service personnel. Today at around 30% capacity there was a waitress who didn't even take the drinks order after almost 30 minutes despite asking... We were 'served' and left again... That's how you lose customers...

We ordered 2 portions of spaghetti. 1x Carbonara and 1x Bolognese. The portions are sometimes so different in quantity that it's annoying. If I hadn't ordered another salad, I wouldn't have been full :-( My wife's portion was OK. The food was also delicious. Unfortunately, the lasagna has been a joke for years and we don't order it anymore. I really wonder, are noodles really that expensive?

Beer 1/4 hour...spaghetti 1/2 hour. There was only one paying guest inside besides me...extremely loud music. Tables and chairs around me were loudly pushed around by the staff. Then a large sliding window was opened and I sat in the draft without warning. Spaghetti warm on the inside...cold on the outside. I've never experienced anything so unprofessional. By the way, it was the second attempt, but it was also my last attempt. It's a shame... I live nearby.

We celebrated our daughter's 8th birthday at L'Osteria Mülheim. A huge thank you to the team and especially to Mirko, who took excellent care of the 14 children.

Disappointing pasta. It felt like the chef had grabbed spaghetti and tomato sauce from the supermarket, mixed them together and then served it. It's a shame they call themselves an Italian restaurant.

Me and my family are in the restaurant for the first and last time because the service and the employees were unfriendly.

Would not recommend. If you're in the area, definately try another restaurant. I have visited this restaurant a number of times, and the service is mostly not good. Today it was the worst, we waited for 45 mins until the waiter came to us to take our order even though restaurant wasn't busy. Once they took the order for drinks, it took them another 25 mins to take our food order. When the food finally arrived it was cold. Apparently apart from pizza they dont make anything fresh. We had to send it back and wait again. The only time i can recommend it is if you have 3hr to spare for below average food, with bad service.

Ich kann gegen das Essen nichts sagen, aber die Bedienung ist Unterirdisch. Die Bestellungen kamen sehr spät und in verkehrter Reihenfolge. Mann musste um mal was zu bestellen den Kellnerin hinterher laufen. Der Eindruck der Kellnerinen war, ich habe kein Bock mehr.

We went here for the first time on a Sunday evening. The reception was friendly, although a bit hectic due to the full restaurant. The service was also very friendly, although the waiting times for drinks and food were quite long. The pizzas were sensationally delicious and huge. Lunch was taken care of the next day😉. The pizza is really tasty and big. Either you are very hungry, share the pizza with someone or have the rest packed. You can also order the pizza with different toppings and pay the amount of the most expensive pizza. The service is friendly and attentive. We sat outside. It was a sunny day. Not all tables had shade, you couldn't sit in the sun, it was far too warm. A few more umbrellas would be great. The main street goes right past the restaurant.

Unfortunately, service was extremely overwhelmed. Only two of the three service staff worked. The MA at reception just kept making seemingly funny jokes instead of supporting his two colleagues. We had to ask three times for the children's chair, which we had already noted when making the reservation. We waited over an hour for the food at moderate capacity. We were only asked for drinks once. The food was good as always. Unfortunately still not recommended.

A very nice restaurant. The pizza 🍕 and the salad were very 😋 tasty. The restaurant manager was very accommodating and nice, as were the staff. Unfortunately I had to deduct one star because the food came first and then the drinks. But we would still like to come back.

Were there today (June 22, '24). It was very crowded and very jittery. Nevertheless, we were served very quickly by our waiter David U. The stress was not left out on the customer and we had a wonderful evening. David is a super friendly man and always has a smile on his face 💞

We are usually there at least 2-3 a month and are always very satisfied. Sometimes with a reservation and often drove by spontaneously. The employees are all very nice. Every time there is bruschetta as a starter and then pizza :-)

First of all, to all the professional complainers here. Do you do a better job with a full house? The boys and girls are always on the move and always friendly and if it takes a few minutes longer, what the heck? We've been there for brunch many times and everything has always been top notch, so we're happy to come back. A certain David should get an extra star, he has a solution for everything and a kind word when he's under the most stress. All in all, in my opinion, the 5 stars are fair.

The Losteria under the shift management of Bilal Bouzian is simply a dream! Here you can expect not only excellent food, but also a warm atmosphere and first-class service. Every visit is like a little break from everyday life and a feast for the senses. Highly Recommended!

Airy restaurant with outdoor area. There is even a small playground. We had Sunday lunch and the offerings were very diverse and delicious. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed that day. But I think it's playing out.

First of all the pizza is really huge and very tasty. Thin dough, baked crispy... top. You also have the option of ordering each half of the pizza with a different topping. Then why only 4 stars? I was looking forward to my spaghetti ice cream for dessert. Of course this isn't a gelateria, but the spaghetti ice cream was more reminiscent of the cups from the penny market. They tasted that way too. The ladies from the service were friendly and tried hard, but unfortunately it always took a while.

We were at L'Osteria in the evening on the Pentecost weekend with a very large group (about 20 children and 30 adults). Our waitress Mercan led the L'Osteria team through the evening with top organization, a lot of patience and sympathy. The children received their food first, followed by the adults' food. All the food came very promptly so we could eat together. A big thank you, we had a wonderful evening at L'Osteria in Mülheim/Ruhr!

Actually quite good. Only the lunch menu isn't that good. The portions are very clear! I had gnochis with turkey. 17 gnochi and 3 pieces of meat. Then it's better to make it more expensive and make the portions so that you're full. After eating at L'osteria I went to McDonalds

Food great as always! Music was a bit too loud and the employees were extremely confused (didn't organize themselves properly and had to constantly ask the guests if it belonged to that person. Plus, the drinks came after the pizza. I'm actually not used to this kind of service from listeria, so there's definitely still room for improvement!

The food is excellent, the ambience is that of a train station: a two-story room that echoes, is drafty and an oversized bar is an eye-catcher. Some of the chairs are a mixture of armchairs and bar stools, unfortunately uncomfortable.

The food came before the drinks. It was delicious so far, but it would have been nice if the torteloni hadn't been only half cooked. A pity. It's kind of strange that the two of you are seated at a table of 6 that hasn't even been cleared away yet. Even though the restaurant was only about 1/3 full, it was very loud.

TO THE AUDITTEAM who will evaluate this branch on Tuesday, May 14, 24 or Wednesday, May 15, 24: Dear audit team, So far, my husband and I have always been very satisfied with this branch. Unfortunately, last Sunday, May 12, 2024, I encountered truly IMPOSSIBLE and INHUMANE behavior from the shift manager. When I was waiting in front of the disabled toilet, the shift manager (probably in the opinion that no guest would notice) loudly shouted at the kitchen staff with the words (and I quote!!!!) “They'll come to evaluate us on Tuesday or Wednesday, I f *** all of you if you fuck this up!” Afterwards it was mentioned several times that this job was his money and he didn't plan on losing his money. I have never experienced such behavior from a boss and I no longer want to eat in a restaurant where employees are treated in such an antisocial way. I sincerely hope that this review has consequences for the shift manager in charge that evening! The food that evening was otherwise impeccable and served very promptly by very attentive, nice waitresses. I can't fault the rest of the team!

All in one like every Losteria. Very nice young service. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Only a third of the restaurant was visited (including the outdoor area) and it still took forever for the food to arrive. If we hadn't spoken to the girls we might have even died of thirst. All joking aside, when I'm in a restaurant I don't want to worry about getting drinks myself. As a service you see something like that. In addition, the outside area is really unkempt. You have to change something otherwise the customers will stay away. 5/11/24 Went there again today. Everything great. Good service. Very friendly. It should be that way.

Unfortunately, I have to say, you were all a bit overwhelmed. I wish the waiter or even the boss had come and said we were sorry it was taking so long. In the meantime, can I bring you coffee or something else? But what did the boss do, just age around and try to cover it up. That is not how it works! It was another successful evening at L’Osteria. Lenny's really courteous and friendly service was a particular highlight. We will be back!!!!

The dough, especially the crust, is better than in Oberhausen.

It used to be significantly better (before Corona). Unfortunately it has diminished significantly since then. I ordered a pizza with mushrooms, which unfortunately was quite soggy. In addition, the mushrooms were only thrown on one spot on the pizza instead of evenly distributed. The edge was at least somewhat crispy. Although it wasn't particularly full, the service seemed to be trying hard but a bit overwhelmed. The cheese on the pizza was relatively neutral (probably just "analog cheese"). --- Addendum to the answer: It is not true that the same quality is offered in all l'Osteria branches. It may be that the same recipes and ingredients are used everywhere, but the preparation fails. I've had significantly worse, but also better, experiences in other branches. --- Update 04/27/24: I went to eat here again today with a friend. The Manzo salad with strips of beef fillet came after the main course instead of beforehand, as we had requested. It wouldn't be a big problem if they had at least said that beforehand instead of saying as an excuse that there weren't enough staff. The restaurant wasn't even half full and I saw 5 employees in the kitchen who looked like chefs. In any case, unfortunately the meat got cold because cold pizza tastes worse. The meat was also overcooked and as tough as a shoe sole. It used to taste much better here. There was a long black hair on the Prosciutto e Funghi pizza. Disgusting! In addition, they were relatively economical with the ham. It looked like it had been torn apart to make it look like something more. Scusi, l'Osteria, but this was your last chance to convince me that you can do better again. I'd rather buy a frozen pizza from the supermarket. At least the quality remains the same and the price-performance ratio is right. Unfortunately, there is an ongoing management problem here. Ciao!

The food is delicious, although sometimes too expensive. The shop itself is beautifully decorated. Unfortunately, we have now had bad experiences picking up pre-ordered food twice. The first time the service staff was so stressed that I was ignored for 15 minutes until my already prepared food was brought out of the kitchen. The second time our food wasn't ready at the stated pickup time and we had to wait 30 minutes before we could take it away. We were offered a free drink, but other than that the bad process wasn't really addressed. Very bad system - should be reconsidered!

Wir waren gestern mit 4 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder da erstmal dauerte das Essen sehr lange dann kamen 2 Pizzen dann erstmal lange wieder nichts dann die Kindergerichte und dann die letzten 2 Pizzen die eine war sehr kalt die andere war sehr kaputt gewesen überall Risse diese haben wir beide zurück gegeben wurden dann neu gemacht dann kam die erste Pizza zurück und die 2. Erst nachdem wir nach 10 Minuten später mal nachgefragt haben es kam keine Entschuldigung als ich sagte das doch eigentlich eine Entschädigung drin sei in Form von Rabatt oder ein gratis Kaffee keine Reaktion und als ich kein Trinkgeld gab war die Mitarbeiterin auch noch sauer also Mülheim war für mich das erste und letzte mal gewesen.

Not only were the pizza and beer great, Lenny also made you feel very comfortable being served. We'd love to come back!
