L'Osteria Mannheim in Mannheim

Nice restaurant at the top of the water tower. Huge pizzas and nice service. Unfortunately the restaurant was completely full, so it was very loud. But I prefer a full restaurant to an empty one. We each had a starter and then a huge pizza. If you don't have much of an appetite, you might want to skip the starter, as the pizzas are really very, very big. You can have the leftovers packed up.

Good, quick service, very tasty food, reasonable prices - overall great and recommended!

The whole trip to this highly acclaimed restaurant was a complete nuisance. The tables are very close together and hardly a person could fit between them. At lunchtime it was so crowded and so loud that conversation was impossible. The menu no longer bore any resemblance to the menu on the internet. The offer was very reduced and the prices were at least 30% higher. My husband ordered spaghetti carbonara. However, there was no sign of the cream sauce that had to be present. He tossed and turned the pasta, thinking the sauce was buried underneath. But that wasn't the case. Our question to the waitress as to whether the sauce would be delivered separately was answered in the negative. She explained that we should have complained about this immediately. My husband then ate this dry pulp because he was very hungry. The bill was - of course - for the full amount. Conclusion: once and not again! With not very kind regards Christa Scharting

You can hardly go out to eat more realistically. I've been close to keto for 6 months. I had the insalata casa, refined with avocado and ham and tuna. Everything about it was very good, fresh, crunchy, juicy. and the The portion was enormous. The whole composition obliges us to come back.

The pizza was excellent. The smell on the clothes less afterwards. That doesn't actually have to be the case. Therefore only 3 stars overall.

I've been ordering the Rucola pizza from L'Osteria for a long time and have always been satisfied. But what I was served yesterday was simply impossible. The pizza arrived cold, the crust was so thin that it was practically non-existent - sure, L'Osteria is known for thin pizzas, but this was just a bad joke. In the pictures you can see that the base basically doesn't exist - it's more of a crispy, partly burnt layer of cheese with some tomato sauce and rocket on top. It was also very dry and the taste was not at the usual level. When I asked the waitress about it, all I was told was that this was the standard. However, given my previous visits, I can't understand this and I think anyone who has ever eaten pizza here can tell from the pictures that this isn't the norm here either. Even with high capacity on Friday evening, such a deviation in quality should not happen. I would have expected a professional reaction or accommodation at this point. Honestly, it was a complete disappointment, especially because I've had good experiences so far. If this really is the new standard then this was definitely the last time I ate here! It's a shame because I really enjoyed coming here.

If you like large and thin pizzas, this is the place for you. What's great is that you can order a pizza differently (HALF/HALF).

Good food, fair price and good service. Unfortunately it is very loud because it is very crowded. Still a cozy atmosphere. A little tip if you have something else to do in the evening - don't use bruschetta, lots of garlic (but very tasty!)

Very attentive service, a lively atmosphere and consistently high quality of food - I have never been disappointed - always make L'Osteria a highlight. After a long day of work when you were hungry, you were welcomed so hospitably, despite the hectic pace, the team was always very friendly - everything was great.

Today I didn't eat any of the gigantic (size and taste) pizzas but chose a pasta dish from the lunch menu. Since the first portions were unfortunately almost cold, they were exchanged for new, hot ones without any problem. (We would have been happy with warming up too.) But like that… just perfect. A hit in terms of taste, I will try out alternatives more often in the future. The staff is always attentive and friendly, even when the hut is full. I love this store!

I celebrated my birthday here. We were 12 people. We all really enjoyed it. I can recommend it. Price performance ratio was great. We thank you all, it was a very nice evening.

So I was told it was a very good restaurant. Unfortunately I have to say that I was very disappointed and ordered a salami pizza with extra onions. If anything, there wasn't even a slice of onion on the pizza that was dry and tasteless. It just tasted like dough. Cherry tomatoes with mozarela buratta was a great failure, tomatoes and burrata without anything, so it's better to prepare it at the supermarket and at home. The macaronies with grilled vegetables, the vegetables are raw, no Italian hard cheese. It just tasted like cheap tomato sauce. The only good thing was it was warm. So a good tip. Find a chef who cooks with love and perhaps has a bit of an idea. Teramisue ok. It's not worth paying 47 euros for that. Super sad. I definitely wouldn't eat there again.

The visit was, as always, very nice. The chosen pizza was so big that it barely fit on the table and plate. Excellent in taste. The service was always attentive and friendly. Very accommodating despite the busy situation. We'd love to come back. To avoid long waiting times, I recommend making a reservation.

Unfortunately, it often happens that you stand in a queue in front of the restaurant and have to wait. Having visited the restaurant several times, I had to wait at least 30 minutes for the menu. After that it took at least another 30 minutes until we could order. In the meantime, others (who came after us) were already provided with drinks and the appetizer. The service really wasn't good at all.

It was very tasty in the L'osteria, but it was very loud and you could hardly understand your own words. We were a few more people and apparently the last table where reserved, so all the tables were thrown together. If there wasn't enough space, everyone would have eaten pizza.

Be sure to order a pizza with two toppings 😋

However, you had the option of having two toppings on a large pizza, so that two people shared one. Great solution. One star less because the conversation was very tiring due to the abundance of the restaurant (large room). A visit is very worthwhile!

We enjoyed our “traditional” private end of the year in the L’Osteria chain restaurant in Mannheim. The location was of course very busy at Christmas market time and on Friday evenings; We had reserved a table for 4 long-term in advance, which we were assigned after a bit of a wait at the bar. The staff was very friendly, courteous and quick to help; the order was processed promptly. Only one drink was forgotten (that can happen in such a hustle and bustle), but it was quickly delivered. The speed and precision at the ovens is impressive 👍, we had the perfect view of the “crime scene 😂”. I have never experienced such “extensive” pizzas before. They thought the three with the pizzas were very tasty, I had a Caesar salad, which was also good. The prices correspond to the central location in Mannheim. Four stars for the ambience, the seating is relatively tight. I can recommend the restaurant.

The food tastes very good, but the tables are too close together so you feel like you're sitting together with everyone. The waiters always say that everything is reserved, which later turns out not to be true.

The three of us spontaneously went to L' Osteria on Saturday. After just a short stay at the bar we got a table. Thanks to the extremely friendly Vanessa with her always attentive service, we were able to spend a lovely evening. Pizza and pasta tasted very good. Many thanks in particular to Vanessa.

The XXL pizza is just an illusion, the filling is lacking and the poor quality flours make this illusion a real hell, the staff is discreetly attentive, the super competitive prices create a large influx.

We recently visited Losteria and we were absolutely satisfied! The food was simply great, fresh, tasty and prepared with a lot of love. I was particularly impressed by the friendliness of the service staff. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very welcoming and pleasant. What made the visit even better was the friendly and courteous service. The service staff were always attentive and really took care of every detail. An all-round successful visit. I highly recommend Losteria!

We took the vegan pizza and the hottest pizza on the menu. The vegan pizza was not the best en the spicy pizza really delivered on the heat 😅, which is good! We were surprised by the huge size of the pizza, luckily the dough is very thin so it is possible to finish your plate. Even when you are not able to finish your pizza, they will nicely pack your leftovers to eat them later at home. Very nice service. The tiramissu is also good. The taste is good, this is one of the better spots to eat in Mannheim

Centrally located in the old town. Delicious pizza, pasta and salads as you would expect from L'Osteria. Friendly and quick employees.

If you want to eat comfortably in a good and quiet atmosphere then you have to take the food home with you. So loud and cramped and small tables like in the subway. Waiters constantly forget something or the wrong dish is served because there is a lot going on. The food tastes very good, better than in Viernheim.

No comparison to Viernheim. The service tried very hard, but was repeatedly overwhelmed by the rush and at the end of its capacity. We had a table right at 11:30 a.m., the back seats were full of breadcrumbs from the day before and it didn't look very well cleaned. Gnocci unfortunately very al dente, pizza was ok. But the location is very nice

It was a very busy Monday evening at the restaurant when we arrived at around 18:30. Luckily we were able to have a table. The service was very quick and efficient! The service team was incredible to be able to deal with such a big crowd! The tables got filled up within minutes. The restaurant was obviously really popular. The pasta was tasty, but I was even more amazed by the size of the Pizza! The chicken BBQ pizza was huge, bigger than the plate! It was very juicy and tasty!

Staff refused to talk to me in English, food didn’t match the quality expected. They drowned our pasta in oil.

The pizzas are huge, we ate one for two. They are also very tasty. The service staff have their hands full on a Sunday evening, and so it's inevitable that mistakes will happen. First the wrong pizza came, then the side salad didn't come for a long time, but it still came, when we were almost finished eating, two more service staff came to the table with a side salad. We had the spinach pizza with Knovi and egg (Knovi was missing) and the Gamberetti pizza (you should fry the Gamberettis briefly in the pan, they were very raw) was also good. I'd be happy to come by again when I get the chance

We were there at lunchtime on a Saturday. We easily got a seat without a reservation. The ambience with the large windows is really great. The food was delicious and the price was great. We paid €63 for 2 people with a tip and had a starter, main course, dessert and 2 drinks each. The waiters were all friendly too.

So the restaurant was very cozy, a bit dark, but still nice. We just went there without a reservation and got a table after a short wait. The service was very friendly and took our order quickly. I had carbonara and my companion had dumplings with spinach. Both dishes were super tasty and the portions were also good. So I can definitely recommend the restaurant.

Unfortunately the Pizza Vegetaria was not edible. Completely greasy and oily, otherwise completely tasteless. There were a handful of vegetables spread on the iron pizza, so about 2 pieces per pizza slice. The waitress was very understanding, but just said that those were the guidelines, they weren't allowed to use any more toppings, but she went ahead with it. It was our last visit to the Losteria in Mannheim. In Hamburg and Berlin the quality was a lot better.

L'Osteria in Mannheim is the place where you can spend a lovely evening. The pizzas are great, the atmosphere is seductive and the prices are reasonable.

Without a reservation, we got a table straight away and were served straight away. Food arrived quickly and the portions were really good. Salad and spaghetti Bolognese were really tasty and the pizza is huge. Really ok for the price. Staff was always friendly too. We'd love to come back.

The service is great. The employees are all very friendly and try very hard to fulfill all your wishes. The ambience is generally pleasant, but also very loud at times. We were always very enthusiastic about the Pizza Tonno. On our penultimate visit we noticed that something had changed to the detriment of the pizza recipe. The floor is extremely thin and dry and we have the impression that the covering has also been saved. Unfortunately, we will no longer eat pizza in the future but will be surprised by the pasta dishes.

Our visit to L’Osteria Pizzeria was simply great! The pizza was perfect – huge, crispy and incredibly tasty! The ingredients were fresh and the dough was prepared just right. What we were particularly pleased about was the size of the pizza: you really get a decent portion here, which is more than fair for the price. Value for money is simply right here, especially when you consider how big and good the pizza is. We were also impressed by the atmosphere in the restaurant. It is modern, but at the same time cozy, so you immediately feel at home. The decor is tasteful and the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, perfect for a relaxing evening. Another plus point: The toilets were very clean, which for us is always an important detail that reinforces the positive overall impression. The staff was also super friendly. Everyone on the team was friendly and made us feel welcome. The service was quick without being rushed and ensured that everything was to our satisfaction. The only negative point was the parking lot - unfortunately it was quite expensive, which somewhat spoiled an otherwise perfect day. Nevertheless, we will definitely come back because we were completely impressed by the pizza and the ambience!
