We went to the restaurant for dinner. Without a reservation, we wouldn't have had a chance of getting a table. The staff was friendly and very attentive! Drinks were delivered quickly, and the food arrived promptly, too. The food was delicious! Verdict: Highly recommended

If possible, I wouldn't even give it one star. Seven of us spontaneously decided to go there for dinner on a Saturday at 1:30 p.m. We were immediately intercepted by an "extremely friendly" (ironic) waiter and, without even a greeting, were informed that they couldn't put tables together outside. We weren't offered any alternatives either. In my opinion, the service is different.

Good L'Osteria cuisine, friendly service. The ambiance is okay. The entrance is a bit hidden in the back building (at least I walked past it when I first walked past it). But it's worth a visit.

Nothing special. Large, but not tasty pizzas and rather small portions of pasta etc. Nice location. The service was okay at best, nothing more. Not well prepared for a group of more than 8 people. Empty tables could not be put together. Bonus program was denied.

Great location on the market square and parking garage, seating inside and outside. The ambience is modern, cozy and flooded with light. For my personal taste, the pizza dough is thin and crispy, but not topped enough. The tomatoes in the bruscetta are fresh and taste good, but mushy (because, as I asked, large quantities are left on top of each other after the morning preparation), which unfortunately detracts from the taste experience. The lasagne was very tasty and filled with plenty of minced meat. Our service was very quick, friendly, extremely cheerful and accommodating. It was clear that she enjoys her work.

Anyone who writes “too little topping blah blah”; This is about authentic Italian pizza, not the overcrowded German tourism story that we get at tourism hotspots! Nice thin dough, selected and fresh vegetables; the right way.

It's very convenient that you can split a pizza and try two different ones. I tried the rustico, which was delicious, and the vegan one, which i can also recommend. the vegan cheese is good. It is a little pricey but the pizzas can be shared by two so it's fine.

I visited L'Osteria in Göttingen. The atmosphere was really nice and pleasant. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately the pizza disappointed me. It was big, but almost completely empty - only 4 or 5 small pieces of chicken on it. I think paying €15 for this is really excessive. I probably won't order pizza there again.

I reserved a table for ten people about four weeks ago. On the evening of the meal we were there with nine people and got a table that was too small even for nine people. When we asked if we could change the size of the table or the space so that everyone could eat properly, the answer was a short "no" and no interest in making our stay a little more pleasant. So we have to eat very limitedly, which made the visit rather unpleasant. Unfortunately, due to a strict schedule, we didn't have the option to change the restaurant, but we will go there more. Addendum from the answer: Unfortunately, this information is missing from customers in advance. The restaurant in Göttingen is bright, flooded with light, which I personally like, but there's nothing cozy about it. The two large tables are also directly in front of the part where the food is prepared and there is constant traffic there. Not only can you not guess what the goal was, the atmosphere doesn't match what you imagine it to be, and still a table for 10 where 9 people can only sit awkwardly is simply not something for me. It is my subjective opinion and please understand it as constructive criticism, since, from my point of view, your idea has nothing to do with the local location.

They close the shop in your face at 9 p.m. sharp and stop serving you. A terribly arrogant, unfriendly shop. How can you be so unfriendly? The worst service.

We were there with four people on a Saturday evening without a reservation. A very friendly employee even found a table in the otherwise very full restaurant. And even though it was so crowded and loud, we felt very comfortable there! It didn't take long and our pizza was ready. You can also share a pizza with two different toppings, the pizzas are huge and really delicious!! Good, but not too full, fresh ingredients, perfect! For dessert we had really good panna cotta, one classic with strawberry sauce, one with espresso - super tasty! I was really positively surprised, I would never have expected such good food, a really low price & great service from a restaurant chain! We'd love to come back!

The food was too spicy, I ordered a bbq pizza and definitely didn't drink cocktails. I ordered a negroni but it wasn't negroni!!!

My associates told me, that pizza was good here, but I ordered pasta. Carbonara tasted weird, and it was really fatty, even more than this dish should be. The portion was huge however, so you definitely won't leave hungry. One of my colleagues ordered a lasagna and it was frozen inside. I wish I had tried pizza here, but they are very large - too large for one preson. It would be amazing if you could order a smaller one.

When you want to eat a good pizza, this is the right place. The pizzas are so big that they could be enough for two people, I usually manage to eat them alone. They have good entries. The service is fast.

However, service wasn't good - you didn't feel particularly welcome and the staff didn't seem to want to make much sales, because after the first few drinks we were never asked again if we wanted to order anything else or if everything was OK. Things have actually been much better at this restaurant in the past. If you just want to eat something briefly, it's ok (eat in, eat out), not recommended for a longer get-together.

lunchtime. We order from the lunch menu offer at a total price of €30. When we want to pay, our meal costs €41. When we asked why it now costs more than on the lunch menu, we were told that we didn't say we wanted to eat from the lunch menu. ?????????????????? Chic restaurant, varied menu, everything freshly and deliciously prepared, served quickly and friendly. I had gnocchi with shrimp in a tomato cream sauce👍. The pizzas here are also a little different, huge, extremely thin, varied and richly topped.

This restaurant crossed my mind today out of nowhere (maybe not, as it’s been popping up on Spotify ads lately). I ordered lasagna, my first ever, just another first that night. Looking back, it feels like a detour from the usual rhythm, feels very unreal, but lovely.

Pizza always tastes really good. Service depends on the staff. We once received the wrong pizza and were somehow not treated as expected. They first wanted to convince us to keep the pizza. In the end it was solved well and luckily nothing was thrown away and we got what we actually wanted.

I don't think it's reasonable to wait around 30+ minutes after ordering and paying when the store isn't even half full. The pizza was ok but way too thin. If it were a little smaller it would have fit on the plate. The fact that 6 people are seated at a 4-person table is also questionable, especially since larger tables were free. The knives are not suitable for cutting at all, only for tearing. When paying, I found it very rude that the waiter left the table after each person (we paid separately), so the process took even longer than normal. We all paid by card, so it actually only took a few seconds per person.

I had to wait over an hour to get a very sparsely topped pizza. When I looked at other people's food, I noticed that the ingredients generally tended to come from a can. In addition, the lunch menu only includes carbonated drinks, which is stupid because I can't tolerate them, so I had a lunch menu without a lunch menu.

Ambience and food are great. We also found space for 20 people (after reservation). When it comes to service, I would like people to ask you more often if you would like something more to drink.

First of all the food is delicious. Unfortunately, the seating is too tight, so the feeling is that the waiter at the next table ends up eating. Favored by the tables for two that are too small and can accommodate 3-4 people. In addition, round “cat tables” were placed in free space. Everything is just too tight. Due to maximizing the number of seats and the take-out service, wait times of 40 minutes for a pizza or pasta must be expected. The noise level is also a bit too loud. It's a shame, more service and the customer in the foreground would be nicer than just profit optimization. 😅 I'm looking forward to the text modules of the answer. Big pizzas, good taste. The price is absolutely right because the pizzas are bigger. Very tasty combinations. Drinks and other dishes are priced in line with L'Osteria. Some are a little more expensive than the Italian restaurant around the corner. The atmosphere is modern, with Italian chic. Unfortunately the staff is not original because it is a chain. But be on your toes and know what it's doing. Delivery is sometimes offered, and meals are also available to take away. Points were deducted for various reasons: Because the pizzas are so oily, I messed up my jacket when picking up the pizzas - that's super annoying. We had heartburn all night and couldn't sleep well because the pizzas were so heavy on our stomachs. (fatty cheese, plus oil, plus yeast dough that didn't rise long enough) This doesn't happen with Italians for the sake of trust. ;-)

We had dinner at the location mentioned above. Because the patio doors were open and it was our first time dining there, we unknowingly entered through this entry & exit area. After no one paid us any attention, we turned to a waitress. She replied to us very rudely and pointed out the sign on the counter which said; that you have to wait there. However, if you walk through another entrance and don't know this location, you won't be able to get past the counter. The rudeness of the staff extended from the allocation of the table to the payment. After a colleague wanted to take away the food she hadn't made, the eyes were rolled, this request was questioned and the head was shaken. It seems to me that the staff is completely overwhelmed with empathy and service. At 9:04 p.m. we weren't allowed to order anything anymore because the kitchen was closed. All in all, this was by far the worst service I have experienced in all of Germany recently. I know service differently, but it probably depends on the generation!

The food (pizza) is really great. A bit of a challenge due to the size of the pizzas 😉. Cappuccino was great. The ambience is also right, the open kitchen, simply well done. I struggled hard to give only these two stars. However, unfortunately I can only go by my food and unfortunately it was very weak. I ordered spaghetti with tomato sauce and basil, where the basil was missing and I also felt that the tomato sauce was a ready-made sauce. I don't know if that was it, but they definitely could have made a lot more effort. The pizza from my neighbor's table was very tasty, so I added another star and the service was also great. As I said, I don't like getting hung up on the spaghetti, but unfortunately it's a real disappointment 🙈 🧡 The location is positive. I really liked it. Really perfect, especially for an after-work drink 🧡 The service was also good and the employees were very friendly. Please rework your spaghetti again. I would definitely be convinced again. ☺️

Tldr: Service catastrophic, crisis management non-existent It was my wife's birthday and we ordered pizza online. Pick up with 3 hungry children in the car. 32 degrees outside. We were there at the time of pickup. "The pizza hasn't been made yet, please take a seat." No explanation as to why nothing has happened yet, even though I was told this pickup date. The shop is almost empty. Several employees keep walking past me. 20 minutes later I ask again. People ask in the kitchen, but no one gets back to me. No info, no apology, nothing. When asked again: unfortunately you have to be patient, your pizza is now being made. I'm stunned. I am offered a drink. I decline and explain my situation. 10 minutes later the pizza is ready. This will be handed over to me without further comment. I'm annoyed. The shift manager tells me that the staff is new and he can't do anything about it. No attempt at reparation, nothing. I fully understand that it can be stressful and that things can go wrong. But this was ignorance on the part of everyone involved and a shocking amount of routine in dismissing dissatisfied customers. Instead of birthday joy, my wife had screaming children in the car for 30 minutes. We won't get this time back.

The atmosphere is nice. We were happy with our pizzas but my friend did not like the pasta. It is good that they have vegetarian and vegan options. The portions are big. The place was busy and we waited considerably long for our meals. We got the vibe that they expect you to leave the minute you finish your meal. The food is a bit pricey for sure. I can understand they are busy, but one of the waiters was super rude when he said something in German and we didn’t respond very quickly as it was loud outside and we aren’t native speakers. This was the first time we experienced something like this in Göttingen.

We had a delicious pasta dish, my wife was very satisfied. I had a bruschetta. 4 slices. This can be done better. There was a lack of oil and spices. Diced tomato without anything. Just a little arugula doesn't make it any better. A pity.

Unfortunately it is located on an alley with through traffic. So relatively uncomfortable.

The food has always been very tasty and the service has been extremely friendly. In summer it is very drafty inside due to several openings and the location is not very idyllic. But the service and food are so good that I'm happy to accept the small disadvantages.

My first visit to L’Osteria will definitely not be my last! The reservation, the ordering process and the waiting time were absolutely acceptable. Before the restaurant filled up with many other guests, we ordered a pizza. Since I couldn't decide between the vegetarian pizza with grilled vegetables and the four cheese pizza, I was suggested to split the pizza in half - a saving grace for the evening! The taste and quality of the pizza were excellent. I liked it so much that I ate it all. The next day the sun shone, which rounded off the wonderful evening perfectly. I will happily visit L’Osteria in other cities in Germany whenever I feel like having a fantastic pizza!

Es lohnt sich, besonders am Abend, zu reservieren. Denn das L'Osteria ist meist gut gefüllt. Man muss schon recht früh, so wie ich heute, kommen um freie Platzwahl zu haben. Man kann drinnen und draußen, auf dem Marktplatz sowie in der kleinen Gasse im Schatten durch Sonnenschirme sitzen. Drinnen kann man zusehen wie die dünnen Pizzen gemacht werden und zuschauen wie die Getränke an der Bar eingegossen werden. Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm und wird durch italienische Musik untermalt. Wenn es voll ist, kann es im Innenraum durchaus laut werden. Der Sevice war freundlich und aufmerksam, wobei (je nachdem wie voll es ist) man sich schon bemerkbar machen muss. Das Essen war wie bei jedem Besuch lecker! Mit der Pizza zum Teilen kann man auch eine Hälfte bekommen - die Pizza ist recht groß und kamm auch mitgenommen werden. Ich wählte Pasta und diese war einfach lecker! Die Kartenzahlung hat problemlos funktioniert. Das WC im Untergeschoss ist sauber - auch hier läuft Musik.

An hour waiting time, simply catastrophic.

The food tasted good, but the service wasn't, they tried to cheat here. We ordered a risotto and a pizza with grilled vegetables. Shortly afterwards we were told that the risotto was out and that we should choose something new, which wasn't a bad thing at first. So we had noodles instead. But when we paid we were only told the total amount; a receipt was only given upon request after payment had been made. And then we realized that the more expensive risotto was on the bill instead of the pasta. We then had to argue to get the money back, which was overpaid. Be sure to check the invoice! The pizza was not charged for the Margherita with extra grilled vegetables, but for the Pizza Vegetaria or similar, which was also a little more expensive. Good service is something else!

Unfortunately, the prices have gone up significantly... On my last 4 visits, there were always some ingredients that were no longer there and then you had to somehow improvise but still pay the full price. Somehow I don't think it's so cool when you pay over €15 for a pizza that isn't even topped with real mozzarella but some kind of sprinkled cheese. Were there for the last time today. There are much better Italians in Göttingen (which are also cheaper). It's a shame, I used to really enjoy being here. The taste is still good, but somehow the price-performance ratio is no longer right, even if you look at the competition in Göttingen.
