The website for ordering is outdated. It took almost three hours to process my order. I canceled it after two hours, and surprisingly, it arrived three hours later. By then, the cancellation had already been processed, and they hadn't even registered it in their own system. There is no customer communication; the phone is never answered, and they don't provide an email address. You won't receive a call or email to inform you of any delays. It's a disgrace! Eating there is worthwhile, but placing an order is a disaster.

Ordered two pizzas, waited over two hours, called after two hours, and was told the pizzas would arrive in 30 minutes. After another 40 minutes, still no pizzas and no one answering the phone. Then, after three hours, the order was canceled. Not recommended.

Yesterday, I came here full of anticipation to celebrate and have dinner. We've been here many times before and there were never any major problems, but last night the mood was completely ruined – I was already hungry after work, and then we had to wait at least 40 minutes for our pizza, which was cold to boot! The toppings were extremely sparse: just a little extra cheese in the middle, and the whole pizza had just four slices of ham and four small pieces of artichoke. The taste was truly unspeakable, and the service was simply unacceptable. After we finished our meals, we had to wait over half an hour just for the wrapping and the bill. We approached three different servers, and even after I personally went to the counter and vented my frustration, no one came. This constant "I'll be right there" seemed like an automatic phrase, not a sincere promise. I definitely won't be back. The prices keep rising, while the quality keeps getting worse!

It was delicious and the service was friendly. The ambiance wasn't great—but that's not why you go to a restaurant. However, the service made up for it with their friendliness and pleasant manner. My companion, who is married to an Italian woman, was thrilled with the pizza. I have to say, the risotto was delicious.

The seasonal pumpkin pizza was amazing. Highly recommended. Sitting outside can get quite windy under certain circumstances. The atmosphere is pleasant and the restrooms are clean. The soap is particularly good, and a few words of Italian are included with your visit to the pool. Service is okay, although the waitress didn't notice that I accidentally added a €20 tip instead of the total (since I had tipped).

Extremely overpriced, almost €15 for a small piece of lasagna that was burnt around the edges and lacked the béchamel sauce listed on the menu. Not much ground meat. My wife's pizza was sparsely topped. It was very humid inside because of the pizza ovens, but it was raining outside. The listless waitstaff preferred to chat among themselves behind the counter rather than pay attention to the poorly prepared food (there were few customers). Then you don't want to make a fuss with someone who doesn't care. First time at L'Osteria and never again.

I do not recommend this restaurant. We were refused a free table with three adults and two small children (1-3 years old) because the table was only designed for four people. My offer to take my son on my lap and the explanation that the two children were sharing a meal did not resolve the issue. I understand that tables cannot be filled with as many people as they want, but turning away hungry guests on a Wednesday evening because a one-year-old child is being treated like an adult is not hospitable to me. There are plenty of other restaurants in Göttingen. For the sake of completeness: we were offered an indoor table instead, but we declined due to the good weather and frustration with the staff's inflexibility.

So, Saturday, July 19, 2025. You've been given a second chance by me, and you were just as wasted as last time. The service is unacceptable. Arrogant, condescending, cheeky, and unfriendly, just like last time. I sincerely hope that intensive training on how to deal with people will be offered and taken advantage of soon. THAT should be done soon. It's clear that these guys don't own the place; otherwise, they'd be more committed to the customer. You definitely won't see me here again. But that certainly won't interest you. I always ask myself: would you behave like that towards your parents or your boss?

When you get a little hungry and get a pizza the size of a side table 😅 Very attentive service, subtle Italian music in the background, a fantastic pizza, and the waitress's slightly horrified look because I only managed to eat half...all in all, a little bit of Italy in Göttingen. It was very loud, it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get the food and instead of burrata, which costs 5€ extra, I had mozzarella on my pizza.

We went there for dinner on a Sunday and the restaurant was incredibly busy, although the service staff didn't seem to notice. They were super friendly and very quick. The pizzas are really good sizes; it feels like you're getting a whole wagon wheel served at your table. Because we had pizza the day before, we opted for pasta and lasagna. The pasta with pesto was really delicious, and the lasagna tasted great too, but unfortunately it was still completely cold in the middle. We let them know and the delicious piece was sent back to the kitchen and returned to our table a few minutes later, at the perfect temperature. For those who are really hungry, the lasagna is a bit too small, so it's best to order two or go for the full menu with starter and dessert. After that, we had a cappuccino on the house. Whether this was on the house because of the cold lasagna or if it's always like that, we'll find out next time. We'd love to come back as we were really satisfied. It can happen anywhere that something is cold or something isn't quite right with the food. That doesn't necessarily make the restaurant a bad one. With that in mind, see you next time.

Frustrating experience with my first pickup order. I'm a regular at these great restaurants and also have the app to collect points. Yesterday, we wanted to eat pizza at home with friends and ordered from L Osteria. We were intrigued by the large-format ad in the app: if you order three pizzas, you get a free margarita. Unfortunately, we discovered that this applies to four restaurants, all in Berlin. It's great to advertise so prominently. The second promotion, according to the app, was a €3 voucher for online orders. Didn't work again. Even though I'm logged into the app, I have to register again. I used my email address and code for the app back then. Now it's asking for my email address and password, which don't exist. So I can only open a new account. But at the same time, that would be pointless, since the €3 would only be valid if I'd taken a code from the box with me the last time I visited the restaurant. So, that was a bummer. At least the points are still in the app. So I called and ordered. When I picked up the pizza, they shoved the card reader in my face. Cheeky of triggering a tip by default here again. Just like when you go to a restaurant. Only this time I'm picking up items worth over €50 and you're saving on sales tax. Well, I'll add €1.40 and then, like before, I want to scan the code on the receipt for my points. I was told that's no longer possible, you have to tell them beforehand. So I didn't get any points. Consequence: I picked up a nearly cold pizza at home myself and saved you a lot of money, but as a customer I was frustrated several times. I got the idea for the pizza session at home from the offer of a free pizza. It's ridiculous that you put something like that in the app when hardly any restaurant in Germany is involved.

The Pizzas are huge. The chicken salad are quite good. The Walters are friendly and helpful. We were a large group of 16. The service was fast and efficient.

The waitress (a young blonde woman with small tattoos) was unfortunately completely overwhelmed. Eight guests pushed two tables together and were reprimanded like little children – even though the place was empty and there were no reservations. I'm surprised the guests were so polite; the waitresses were unacceptable. We had to wait forever for our orders, even though the place was empty. Perhaps the manager is reading this and will take action. In any case, we won't be back.

Seven of us spontaneously decided to go there for dinner on a Saturday at 1:30 p.m. We were immediately intercepted by an "extremely friendly" (ironic) waiter and, without even a greeting, were informed that they couldn't put tables together outside. We weren't offered any alternatives either. In my opinion, the service is different.

For my personal taste, the pizza dough is thin and crispy, but not topped enough. The tomatoes in the bruscetta are fresh and taste good, but mushy (because, as I asked, large quantities are left on top of each other after the morning preparation), which unfortunately detracts from the taste experience. Anyone who writes “too little topping blah blah”; This is about authentic Italian pizza, not the overcrowded German tourism story that we get at tourism hotspots! Nice thin dough, selected and fresh vegetables; the right way.

It's very convenient that you can split a pizza and try two different ones. I tried the rustico, which was delicious, and the vegan one, which i can also recommend. the vegan cheese is good. It is a little pricey but the pizzas can be shared by two so it's fine.

I reserved a table for ten people about four weeks ago. On the evening of the meal we were there with nine people and got a table that was too small even for nine people. When we asked if we could change the size of the table or the space so that everyone could eat properly, the answer was a short "no" and no interest in making our stay a little more pleasant. So we have to eat very limitedly, which made the visit rather unpleasant. Unfortunately, due to a strict schedule, we didn't have the option to change the restaurant, but we will go there more. Addendum from the answer: Unfortunately, this information is missing from customers in advance. The restaurant in Göttingen is bright, flooded with light, which I personally like, but there's nothing cozy about it. The two large tables are also directly in front of the part where the food is prepared and there is constant traffic there. Not only can you not guess what the goal was, the atmosphere doesn't match what you imagine it to be, and still a table for 10 where 9 people can only sit awkwardly is simply not something for me. It is my subjective opinion and please understand it as constructive criticism, since, from my point of view, your idea has nothing to do with the local location.

They close the shop in your face at 9 p.m. sharp and stop serving you. A terribly arrogant, unfriendly shop. How can you be so unfriendly? The worst service.

We were there with four people on a Saturday evening without a reservation. A very friendly employee even found a table in the otherwise very full restaurant. And even though it was so crowded and loud, we felt very comfortable there! It didn't take long and our pizza was ready. You can also share a pizza with two different toppings, the pizzas are huge and really delicious!! Good, but not too full, fresh ingredients, perfect! For dessert we had really good panna cotta, one classic with strawberry sauce, one with espresso - super tasty! I was really positively surprised, I would never have expected such good food, a really low price & great service from a restaurant chain! We'd love to come back!

My associates told me, that pizza was good here, but I ordered pasta. Carbonara tasted weird, and it was really fatty, even more than this dish should be. The portion was huge however, so you definitely won't leave hungry. One of my colleagues ordered a lasagna and it was frozen inside. I wish I had tried pizza here, but they are very large - too large for one preson. It would be amazing if you could order a smaller one.

Pizza always tastes really good. Service depends on the staff. We once received the wrong pizza and were somehow not treated as expected. They first wanted to convince us to keep the pizza. In the end it was solved well and luckily nothing was thrown away and we got what we actually wanted.
