L'Osteria in Hannover

Very friendly service, top value for money and quick service. No criticism can be found. As a small tip, maybe add some sauce and bread to soak it up, but as I said, just a tip. Top quality ingredients. :-D

One of the greatest places in terms of atmosphere and cuisine. However, I have one question: I didn't understand how to eat the pizza. It's much bigger than the plate. Of course it's impressive, but in the end I wasn't sure how to eat them.

Nobody is turned away, they always try to get seats even without a reservation, wait a bit at the bar and then eat a delicious meal. Great service. Nice, friendly and cheerful staff, very accommodating and helpful and super competent. Always happy. 5 stars are simply not enough......there is more in it.

The service is great and the food was very good. Absolutely recommended, a very good address in Hanover.

I don't think it's nice that there are only large pizzas - and they don't even fit on the plate. In times when everyone is talking about sustainability, small pizzas are not offered. Sure, you can share pizza, but what if you don't have anyone to share with? Plus it costs as much as the more expensive half.

Very family friendly and also very suitable for wheelchair users.

The week before last, after a long time, we went back to L'Osteria in Vahrenwald, one of the most famous addresses for huge pizzas in Hanover. The location is still impressive: an old, high industrial hall with a lot of charm and plenty of parking spaces in front of the door. However, the store now seems a bit outdated, which is particularly noticeable in the toilets. The charming Italian course is still being played there, but the doors no longer close properly, the toilet paper is stuck on the roll (and no, it wasn't me), and overall the interior has clearly lost its freshness. A little maintenance would definitely be good here. The menu is printed smaller than before, but the content is almost unchanged. Particularly practical: You can still order two different pizza halves. I chose one “with a lot” – topped with ham, salami, vegetables and other goodies – and one half with four types of cheese. Both halves were very tasty, and the pizza overall was huge, even bigger than before. Luckily you can have the leftovers packed up. The salad, however, was disappointing: a very sour dressing and little variety in the ingredients. The potato cream soup from the weekly menu scored even more points: full-bodied, creamy, and with a great crunch as a topping - a real highlight. Another plus point: In addition to the well-known mini bottles of Cola Zero, there are now also large soft drinks, which is practical. The service was friendly and quick, although it was quite loud in the large hall - that's probably the price for the atmosphere. Conclusion: The L'Osteria in Vahrenwald remains a recommendation, especially if you fancy exceptionally large and delicious pizzas. However, the location could use some fresh air to really shine again.

Der Aufenthalt war mal wieder so was von gelungen und zu voller Zufriedenheit . Die Pizza mal wieder ein Hochgenuss. Der Service sowas von Freundlich und Kompetent auffallend zuvorkommend. Great location, absolutely delicious, clean and friendly. The only drawback: the music and therefore the entire atmosphere was unfortunately much too loud for our taste. Private conversations were not really possible without the neighbors sitting very close being informed. So nothing for a romantic evening for two.

The indoor environment was a bit noisy But... The food is really great... The pizza is very thin but not greasy, well topped and huge... The bruschetta, as a starter, was also well topped and very tasty... The waitress also kept asking questions and was very present. I can only give one recommendation here and I'm already looking forward to my next visit there!

The pizza was very tasty and came relatively quickly after ordering. The service was a bit inattentive, but the restaurant was also completely full. Due to the size of the room and the high ceilings it was very loud.

The pizzas are unbeatable; I'm here with my family regularly every two to three weeks with Antonio and Co. What makes the difference here from other branches are the employees: Whether in the kitchen, in service or at the bar: you don't notice the employees here, even at peak times. Quality meets value for money. Keep doing the good work!

The food, the staff and the location are absolutely top notch and simply brilliant! Only the large room in which you sit increases noise when it is busy, making it uncomfortably loud at peak times.

Price-performance ratio 1A, for 20€ you will be full and can also have one or two drinks. The pizza with burrata and salsiccia was delicious! The waiter was also great, you felt like you were in Naples, very energetic and I really enjoyed being able to crack a joke or two. I'd love to come back!

We like coming to L'Osteria, but this time the service was really not good. We have already experienced it much more crowded and were served better and nicer than on December 26th, 2024. It's a shame, because you're alienating paying customers. The colleague who took over from us managed to get it out of the way with her charming manner, but the bitter aftertaste remains.

Very loud. Very tight. Pizzas with little toppings for their size. Pizzas are way too big and don't fit on the plate. You should consider smaller pizzas with this amount of toppings on a suitable plate or board.

It is better to reserve seats in advance. When choosing dishes, you should definitely seek advice beforehand if you don't know it yet... Our pizza tasted great, but way too much!!! But you can have the leftovers packed up, that was a complete meal for us...

Great location with industrial design. And yet it still exudes a form of cosiness. The food, especially the pizza, was delicious. The only reason to complain would be the different sized portions of food. Huge pizza, two large spaghetti dishes but the tortellini were so counted that even a woman still had an appetite afterwards...

I actually really like eating there. Today (November 8th, 2024) it was absolutely bad! - Service was not good! Took way too long! Asked 5 times for the bill and waited 15 minutes to collect. - All of the pasta wasn't cooked through and didn't taste good. Complained and received it again after another 10 minutes of waiting. - Espresso afterwards was also served cold! Notified the waiter, his statement was - Unfortunately I can't do anything, unfortunately that's the case. So very cheeky! Too bad, too bad

I have never been disappointed there! Even the food came relatively quickly, considering the store was completely full (Friday evening at 7 p.m.). I've always wanted to try a pasta dish, but I just can't get past the pizzas, they're that good.🤷 Clear recommendation!!!

I had dinner there with work colleagues. The pizzas there are really giant cartwheels. Out of 8 people, half managed to eat the pizza because it was so huge. The pizzas were very tasty, but unfortunately they get cold very quickly, so you have to eat the last quarter of the pizza cold, even if you are quick. Otherwise, l'Osteria is highly recommended.

Great restaurant in a rather "unremarkable" area. Very nice staff. The pizza we ordered was huge and tasted excellent. Additional plus. You can order the pizza half and half. That means different toppings for each half. I will definitely visit L'Osteria again.
