Los Chicos in Grevenbroich

The paella was delicious, the right balance in the flavors. And great service, they make you feel right at home.

My own experience and perception from March 8th, 2025: Despite clear reservations in advance, they make you wait for 25 minutes (standing), first outside, then inside. You are greeted warmly at the entrance and then immediately put in the queue through the patio door outside in the cold. After 10 minutes we managed to wait inside in a cramped room, next to a table with other guests. When you asked after 20 minutes whether it would take long, you were simply told that a table would be available shortly, without an apology and only pointing out that there were other waiting customers who came in after us. After 25 minutes you are escorted to a table because it turns out another reservation didn't show up. When the head waiter remarked that this wasn't a good start, he responded angrily by saying that you should be happy that you even got a table. There is no excuse whatsoever for the inconvenience. Just an ego taking up even more space in the already pretty full restaurant. While waiting, you also notice waiting customers hanging over the cutlery tray. Time for the inspection to take a closer look here too. Customer friendliness zero point zero. We left immediately, I spend my money in a place where normal mutual respect is practiced. So not in Los Chicos.

The best experience so far! Professional, friendly and delicious! I would give them a 6 star if I could. They even created a special chilly sauce for us 😊 highly recommended from the entire crew from Bulgaria, South Africa, Suriname and Cabo Verde ♥️

Delicious food in an authentic Spanish restaurant. Small and inconspicuous from the outside but packed with flavor and atmosphere. Meat recommendations from the house in advance and constant interaction with attentive and friendly waiters also ensure an inviting and homely overall impression. We'd love to come back!

We went there for the first time on a Saturday evening and the food was really great. One of the few really good restaurants in Grevenbroich. Service staff very friendly and accommodating. Prices a little higher, but commensurate with the quality. All the dishes were really delicious! We'd love to come back.

We have been to Los Chicos 2 times to try Spanish cuisine. I have to say it's a beautiful place. Excellent tapas and amazing paella. Excellent services and warm and welcoming staff like being in Spain. Congratulations, we will be back soon.

Everything was just right here! Not the “cheap Jakob”, but value for money is right. We love Spain, Spaniards and the food 🥰, that was a bit 🇪🇸around the corner from us. Service top, dealing with children... Many German restaurateurs can get a big piece of it. We'll definitely be back!

I had an incredible dining experience at this Spanish restaurant in Germany! The food, a wonderful mix of authentic Spanish and Argentine flavors, was absolutely delicious. Each dish was crafted to perfection, bursting with flavor, from paella and sea food to steak and amazing fish... Mouth watering food 🤤 Along Spanish food, the famous spanish Sangria was just fabulous 😍 The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food. Highly recommend this gem if you’re craving great food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere!"

The lamb shank was really AWESOME! I had previously thought about tapas. On the recommendation of the very nice waiter, I took the lamb shank with mashed potatoes. I wasn't disappointed 👍 My wife stayed with the tapas. You could also tell that the chef enjoyed Spanish cuisine 🤩 The baby calamari starter was also to die for. The service can only be praised. Always attentive and with good tips on eating. That's how it has to be! 💯

If you are in Grevenbroich, don't miss this restaurant with Spanish specialties. The quality of the products is exceptional, and the warm and friendly atmosphere immediately immerses you in the Spanish atmosphere. The servers are really welcoming and attentive, adding to the experience. The paella, a real delight, is undoubtedly the best I have eaten outside of Spain! The value for money is excellent, it is a must. Absolutely worth trying if you're in the area!

So for a nice relaxing Saturday evening it's just a dream, very friendly staff, I don't know where to start when it comes to eating, from tapas to steak and dessert, very tasty and prepared with love. Very good wine and sangria Is only worth recommending 🫶🏼

Totally overcrowded, we had reserved for 7 people. Had to wait over 1.5 hours for our food. I had a steak...very mini and a side dish of 3 potato wedges for over €28. When we asked if we could order dessert, we were told "the chef can't do that" and 20 minutes later other guests got dessert. The food was tasty but definitely not enough and ridiculously expensive for this “sparrow size”. We also had to wait an hour for an Aperol Sprizz. Unfortunately, I'm really disappointed and can't recommend the restaurant, especially not for men...they're starving here. I'm going to McDonald's now to actually eat something...

If you are fed up with German food, you will eat well here

A casual location with very attentive service staff and a boss who asks whether all wishes have been fulfilled. Since the weather was nice, the four of us sat outside and felt very well served and treated to the very good quality of the food.

We were at Los Chicos on June 16th with three couples. I've been there three times and, apart from the inflated prices, everything was pretty okay. But everyone is free to decide where to leave their money. This June 16th, two of us ordered #56, Filete de Bacalao - cod fillet in basil sauce with rosemary potatoes and Mediterranean vegetables. We got the dish and after a short while we both looked at each other who had ordered the bacalao and almost asked each other if this was actually bacalao. We called the waiter because we thought he might have mixed up the dishes from another table. I asked if it was actually bacalao, or cod. He said he hadn't mixed up the orders but he would ask the chef. He came back and said the chef was also sure it was bacalao because the delivery package said bacalao. I asked if it was possible it was mislabeled and asked him to look at the filet and confirm that it was bacalao. The other guest and I told him that bacalao has a completely different structure and is much firmer, and that as Spaniards we have eaten bacalao many times. He insisted that it was Bacalao for sure. I asked again if it was really Bacalao and not Pangasius. He replied, no, it was Bacalao. I don't normally write reviews, but the scam of low-quality pangasius fish fillets being sold as high-quality bacalao or turbot, sole, etc. in restaurants for three times the price of bacalao should be known to everyone. When I order a bacalao fillet for 21 EUR, I expect bacalao and not an inferior fish from Asian aquacultures that are more like aqua cloacas. I've seen many like this in Asia. Anyone who knows Bacalao appreciates the typical and strong taste that characterizes it. Anyone who has ever tried pangasius knows what this fish tastes like. It has an absolutely neutral taste and does not have such a pronounced and firm meat structure as Bacalao, which is typical for Bacalao. We have no doubt that we were sold cheap pangasius for expensive money and that we were knowingly cheated. You can't call it anything else. It is unacceptable for restaurants to knowingly serve incorrectly declared dishes and possibly foist pollutant products on the customer, even at the risk of the customer's health being at risk. Customers have the right to accurate and honest information about what they order and pay for. Such practices cannot be tolerated and hence my unequivocally negative review.

Full marks for this Spanish restaurant. Two very cheerful waiters (presumably the owners?) served a top meal. Very authentic atmosphere. A lot of effort has been put into this. We'd love to come back!!!

Das Essen war unterirdisch und ich kann niemandem empfehlen dort einzukehren. Ich hatte einen Salat mit Rinderfiletstreifen bestellt. Der grüne Kopfsalat wurde einfach geviertelt und eine gelbe künstliche Sauce darüber geleert. Die Rinderfiletstreifen waren mit Sehnen durchzogen und haben ebenfalls nicht geschmeckt. Mein Mann hatte einen Fisch, der war zumindest essbar. Das ganze Mittagessen kostete 45 Euro aber diese Ausgabe hätte ich mir besser sparen können. Ehrlich gesagt, koche ich zu Hause um vieles besser!

My husband and I stopped for lunch in Los Chicos on May 18, 2024. The food was subpar. The green lettuce was simply quartered, the dressing was a yellow “greasy” sauce, the meat was not good - it was definitely not “beef fillet”. Actually I should have sent the salad back. I couldn't recommend anyone to eat there.

Very friendly and cheerful service. You're immediately in a good mood. My dish was a poem. The taste is a dream. At first the amount on the huge plates seems like it might not be enough, but I was proven wrong. The atmosphere was a bit like being on vacation, the only thing that was a bit annoying was the slight wobbling of the table on the terrace. We said goodbye completely satisfied and are already looking forward to the next time.

Jedes Mal wenn wir zur Tür herein kommen werden wir so freudestrahlend empfangen als treffen wir Freunde die wir schon lange nicht mehr getroffen haben. Einen schöneren Empfang können wir uns nicht wünschen. Bislang haben wir immer an einem schönen Platz gesessen und bei der Bestellung geht man stets auch auf unsere Sonderwünsche ein. Die Speisekarte ist vielfältig, typisch und aus unserer Sicht wird hier jeder Gast ein leckeres Gericht finden können. Hervorheben möchten wir die Fischgerichte und das Ochsengericht: vorzüglich. Die Weine sind typisch und auf die Füllstände achtet der Service durchgehend. Unser Fazit: wir sind nun Stammkunden und kommen immer wieder!
