Great location, great food! Too few service staff, too long wait (Friday 1:30 PM)

Very loud, but not too bad for a Friday night—nothing unusual. Unfortunately, I didn't really like the pizza.

We were there for a cozy dinner during the week; it wasn't quite as crowded and was very pleasant. The food was super delicious and beautifully presented. Next, we'll try the breakfast :)

The location is great. Directly on Aachener Straße. There are heaters for cool evenings, but unfortunately they weren't turned on for us yet. The service is friendly and quick. The starter with pizza bread and dips was outstanding. Pizza and pasta were very, very good.

My first visit to LITTLE NONNA… The restaurant looks very attractive from the outside and as I walked past I could see customers eating pizza. This looked very tasty and promising, which is why I spontaneously decided to eat a pizza here. At the entrance I was greeted by a sign asking me to wait until I was assigned a seat. The restaurant was empty except for a few tables and the receptionist was talking to a colleague at the bar. After they finished their conversation, she greeted me and told me I could choose a seat. On the evening I had enough time to take a look at the menu with a limited selection of pizzas. I chose the Pizza Vedura. This came to the table quite quickly and looked really great. The first cutting showed that the dough was not as crispy as it looked and was difficult to cut despite a sharp knife. The vegetables on the pizza taste slightly sour, which suggests that they were probably marinated in vinegar. At least I hope so! My conclusion: The pizza is nowhere near worth the hefty price of €16.50. I have never had a pizza with pickled vegetables served in an Italian restaurant before and I very much hope to never experience it again. The location of the store is great. The decor is very attractive and LITTLE NONNA would be very proud to have been the inspiration for this restaurant. However, she would probably be as disappointed with the food as I was. The people at the next table were also not satisfied with the quality of the dishes served. But just like me, the waitress here only stoically acknowledged the dissatisfaction. My first visit to Little Nonna and certainly my last!

Unfortunately, the restaurant 'little Nonna' couldn't convince me. The atmosphere and (seating) design of the restaurant were not my cup of tea, and unfortunately the food was even less so. I had a bolognese and a piece of cheesecake for dessert. The latter tasted quite... bitter? The pasta took a lot of getting used to. My companion, in turn, seemed completely satisfied. Nevertheless, you can also get other things on the menu that might not appear in every standard Italian restaurant - plus point for that. The restaurant has a convenient, central location near the Rudolfplatz stop.

The place is very nice . And the food Iis ok. The mystery I that the food ravioli and pizza came in 5 minutes. Normally these plates need more time and that made me suspicious.

We were here on Saturday lunchtime and luckily got a table for two. The food was great, particularly excellent: starter arrancini with Bolognese, main course lasagna and dessert cheesecake!! The service was very friendly and attentive!! We'll definitely be back, people like to spend their money on good food here!!

I had dinner at little nonna's on Sunday last week because I like to eat with you very often. However, I will avoid it in the future. I ordered the "Orginal Tomato" pasta and was quite disappointed with the portion. Less than usual and unfortunately no more whole burrata! It wasn't half but a quarter if anything, which really disappointed me since you still pay the same price! This is how you will lose your regular guests.

Good food (Amalfi Cool) and good wine (Lugana), very attentive and friendly service. However, you gave me a no-show at Quandoo for my reservation on February 7th. reported even though I showed up and registered with the service. But I would like to come back. Best regards.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. Personally, I didn't think the food was particularly good. Everything was way too salty. I was supposed to get pasta with Amalfi lemon and sun-dried tomatoes - but I was simply served pasta in tomato sauce in a pot. Absolutely no highlight in terms of taste. All in all, the price is very high for average food at best. Service was quick but not particularly attentive or friendly.

Ravioli in Salbeibutter mit Birnen oder so. 1A Mikrowelle - innen brühend heiß und außen mau. Butter? Eher billiges Motoröl und Birnen wie rohe Kartoffeln. Vegetarische Tagliatelle, die nach billiger Convenience Fisch Paste schmecken. So schlecht haben wir selten gegessen. Anderen mag es schmecken, aber hier war es nicht nur schade ums Geld, selbst das bißchen an Kalorien, was wir zu uns genommen haben war mehr als überflüssig. Das Brot war genießbar. Service hat noch nicht mal gefragt, warum Teller voll zurück gingen, war ihnen offenbar auch egal. War eine frustrierende Erfahrung

Four of us were at Little Nonna on Saturday afternoon. The greeting was super friendly and I immediately felt welcome. The food was great (everyone of us loved it) and the ambience of the restaurant is just great. But I would particularly like to highlight the friendliness of our service staff, that was really a 12 out of 10, and her super nice manner put the icing on the cake. It was my first time there and I will definitely like to come back ❤️

When you enter Little Nonna, which is easy to reach in Cologne due to its good central location, you first get the impression of a modern restaurant chain. The modern-classic ambience and the open design are reminiscent of well-known chains like Vapiano. But this first impression is deceptive. Behind the attractive facade lies an individual concept that is dedicated to authentic Italian cuisine. The menu offers a diverse selection of classic Italian dishes. Particularly noteworthy is the authentic preparation, which gives the feeling of dining in a small trattoria in Rome. The service is not only friendly and attentive, but also extremely competent. I particularly appreciate that we were informed about the size of the portions so we couldn't make a wrong order. Thanks to this individual advice, we were able to enjoy the food to the fullest without overwhelming ourselves. In summary you can say: The Little Nonna is a successful combination of modern-classic ambience and traditional Italian cuisine. Although the prices are a little above average, I think they are justified given the great concept, authentic cuisine and friendly service.

the food was amazing and also had amazing service. They brought our food super fast In less than 10 minutes. And even though we didn’t have a reservation, they still found us a table. The food tastes very very very good and fresh. I also recommend the revengerspasta. It’s also kid friendly.

Breakfast: All the dishes tasted excellent, you can tell they were prepared with love and they look great too. Coffee also tasted great. The ambience and service are great and a clear recommendation!

I'm Italian and I was skeptical about this place, but once I received the pizza I changed my mind and I really appreciated it. I can recommend it. I recommend making a reservation because it is difficult to find a place for dinner even during the week.

In restaurants that are so stylish and lavishly decorated, the quality of food and service sometimes falls by the wayside... but not so at Little Nonna! ☺️ We were completely convinced and had a wonderful evening at our Christmas dinner with colleagues!

Wij zijn hier geweest na lang zoeken omdat het overal vol was. ( zaterdag avond en kerstmarkt) ook hier was het druk maar als we 20 minuten wilde wachten konden ze toch plaats maken voor 6 personen. Dit wachten was het zeker waard. Toen er eenmaal een tafel vrij was en we besteld hadden kwam het eten erg snel ondanks dat het druk was. En wat hebben we heerlijk gegeten. Pizza, pasta en vooral de lasagne was verrukkelijk. Zeker een aanrader.

Cenamos con amigos un domingo por la noche cuando la mayoría de los restaurantes vecinos estaban cerrados. El camarero era lindo, pero la comida era promedio en el mejor de los casos. Animado, joven zumbido compensó lo que faltaba en calidad. No hay menú en inglés disponible, pero nos las arreglamos de alguna manera.

Great atmosphere, very chic ambience and very nice furnishings, but unfortunately the food is only average (Vitello Tonnato is better at Vapiano, for example...) and the service was bitchy (drinks that were served incorrectly were presented as if we were the stupid ones...). There's still room for improvement, make something of this great restaurant!

We didn't have a reservation and still got a seat, but where we sat was extremely tight. Unfortunately, the atmosphere in the restaurant was very loud - both due to the many guests and the music - so it was difficult to have a conversation. In addition, the tables are quite wide, which means you are a little too far apart when sitting. The restaurant is therefore not ideal for a romantic date, but it can be fine with friends. The pizza was good overall, apart from the slightly dry edge. Nevertheless, there are better pizzerias in Cologne that are also cheaper. If you happen to be in the area and feel like pizza, you can stop by here. However, I wouldn't take a longer route to do this.

Our service was incredibly charming, friendly and very attentive 10 stars for that. Everything was to our satisfaction. If it hadn't been for the expulsion of the table coordinator... who said to us every 10 minutes: "No stress, but the table is still available at 8 p.m." She repeated this every 10 minutes from 7:20 p.m. The bombshell at 7:45 p.m. she came, pointed to two women at the bar and said to us again: There is the replacement... but no stress!! That doesn't work at all!!😡

Have a nice day planned with my daughter in Cologne! Spontaneously to Little Nonna! Starter bruschetta from the lunch menu with goat cheese, figs, walnuts and honey, incredibly delicious! Then stuffed ravioli with goat cheese and rosemary, what can I say one of the best pasta dishes I've ever eaten! Thank you for this taste experience

The next fake Italian! This shop has as much to do with Italy as a Cologne native from the Südstadt has to do with Rosenheim in Bavaria! The food was an imposition!

Nice environment, pizza nothing exceptional, but good. Pasta not really the Italian way. But in Germany they like it drowned in creams.

We had breakfast here with a larger group and it was very tasty. Special requests were responded to flexibly and both the coffee specialties and the food were very tasty.

I had dinner at Little Nonna with a friend on a Saturday evening. We received a very warm welcome and were allowed to go straight to the bar after a very short time. There we ordered a drink and waited for a table. The atmosphere at Little Nonna was super positive. The employees all seemed motivated and in a good mood, the guests relaxed and happy. The only thing that bothered us was that it was really very full and we had to squeeze past the other guests who were already eating to sit at our table. However, we didn't have to wait long for this one. The food came relatively quickly and tasted incredibly delicious! Really great, so we will go again!

This used to be our favorite breakfast/brunch place because of its “Stramme Nonna” breakfast special. Today we were met with a huge disappointment. They have cut the portion size in half and removed some key ingredients like Focaccia bread, semi dry tomatoes Aioli and Sauce Hollandaise. It’s so sad to see a beautiful dish has been ruined. When we asked the waiter about it, he said the price is now lower. However this is not true. It cost 12.90€ 6 months ago, and we paid the same amount today. Moreover the quality and quantity of the ingredients is vastly inferior compared to before. I have attached pictures for easy comparison. What a disgusting move by this business and thinking that people will not notice such cost saving actions. We left extremely disappointed and will not be coming back.

Visited Little Nonna for a work event, and it was a lively experience. The restaurant itself is spacious, with a bustling yet welcoming atmosphere, even mid-week. The staff were friendly and spoke excellent English, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. We shared a selection of antipasti to start, which was flavorful, with a nice mix of cold cuts, burrata, and vegetables. The local beer was refreshing, almost like drinking water! For mains, I went with the ravioli, which was rich and creamy – maybe a touch too oily, but definitely packed with flavor. Others who had the pasta enjoyed the unique presentation in a copper pot, and the pizzas were massive – definitely filling! Overall, I’d recommend Little Nonna for the ambiance, which is vibrant and enjoyable, perfect for a casual night out with friends. The food is good, though not exceptional, so I'd give it a solid 3/5.

Very Nice restaurant on the corner of the street, with the BEST Italian food especially the ravioli was amazing. The people who work there are proficient in English and are very Nice. It is not expensive and the toilets were clean. 😁

I tried the truffle pasta and I have to say that the taste was really outstanding. Unfortunately there was a bit too much cream for my taste. The ambience of the restaurant is simply super cool and contributes to a great overall experience. However, you should definitely make a reservation as the store is often packed. Despite the minor criticism of the pasta, we will definitely be back to try the other exciting dishes on the menu.

Very suitable for a date in Cologne, we were there without a reservation at around 7 p.m., which meant we had to get a table relatively in the middle, but that wasn't a problem and the ambience wasn't much deteriorated by the waiters/waitresses sometimes passing by and was still romantic. The food was great, there are also some very good options for vegetarians and the service was always friendly and helpful. It probably makes sense to make a reservation if you want a seat in the corner or on the edge.

A dream during the day, not recommended in the evening. This applies solely to the Service. Inattentive and sometimes even unfriendly. We were served by the dark-haired little waitress. We sat in front of our empty plates for an hour. Then pointed this out and ordered another wine. Didn't come, asked again, still didn't come. When we mentioned it while paying, the answer came: "I had to collect myself after the handover. There's a lot to do now." Ah yes. Note: It was half full outside and inside. The service has to be right for the prices. Food, ambience, drinks top. Then now only during the day. Too bad.

Visually it is demanding, I like the lighting design. You can't really have a good conversation in a larger group, the music is quite loud, which is very tiring in the long run. So I left after two hours because I got a headache. The food was very good - ravioli with pumpkin - but brutally overpriced. the dessert - brownie - was average. In total I paid 55 euros, which I think is a lot for the meal plus two glasses of wine and a small water. The staff was very friendly.

Very good truffle pasta & the non-alcoholic drink Italian Passion was very tasty. The atmosphere there was also great and the waiters were all very friendly, although despite repeated requests we had to wait a long time until we could finally pay... but definitely worth a visit! 🤩

It was my first time at LotteNonna, and today I finally got the chance to try this restaurant. Our waitress, Lisanne, was extremely friendly and accommodating, which made our visit very pleasant. The atmosphere was inviting and we really liked the service. I look forward to coming back!

We had breakfast at Little Nonna's for the first time yesterday and unfortunately we were super disappointed! The scrambled eggs with rolls were both totally dry and unfortunately super boring in taste. When asked, there was butter, which helped. Orange juice and ginger shot were completely overpriced for the size. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio wasn't right here at all...

I was there last Saturday with my friends and I can't complain. Great from start to finish and perfect for a relaxed evening with friends and family. The service and especially Tara are so personable and attentive that you can only feel comfortable. The ambience and food are so great! See you next time!

Super leckeres Essen. Wir haben jeder eine Pizza gegessen und uns als Vorspeise noch Brot geteilt. Alles war sehr frisch zubereitet und schnell fertig. Wir waren mit unserer kleinen Tochter da. Sie hat einen extra Teller bekommen und es gab auch einen Wickeltisch.

Wir waren letzte Woche am frühen Abend bei diesem Italiener und konnten wg noch warmen Wetter draußen sitzen, haben es sehr genossen. Ich hatte ein kl Rindfleisch-Gericht und mein Mann ne Pizza, es war alles bestens und die Mitarbeiter:innen sehr freundlich. es war sehr viel los an dem Abend weil die diginet x stattfand und daher viele hungrige und trinkfreudige Leute unterwegs waren. Es wirkte aber niemand dadurch überfordert oder in Hektik. wir kommen sicher wieder wenn ich mal wieder in Köln zu tun habe.

Food was very tasty. Service was great too. The price is a bit high - still reasonable. Minus point - it's too narrow inside the restaurant... you sit too close to people because the tables are very close together. It's very uncomfortable, it would be great if you could change that.
