On the way back from Gnandstein Castle we stopped at the Lindenvorwerk excursion restaurant and had a small snack. The quark cake and the coffee tasted very good. Afterwards we looked at the small farm museum and that was fun. Afterwards we took a walk around the small lake and looked at the surroundings. The visit was also worth it. If you are nearby you should definitely visit the Lindenvorwerk.

I celebrated my 75th birthday with my family. Lunch and coffee were excellent, which the charming and friendly waiter rounded off with his attentiveness. Our 3 little ghosts were very pleased with the visit to the mill and the playground. Thank you for everything. We would love to come back. Sieglinde Mauersberger and family

Had a cozy afternoon/evening, as it was reserved for 12 people, there was a nice room just for us. The service regularly looked after our well-being. The food was plentiful and tasty. A successful day with family

I often come here with my grandparents and find the place very nice, even if the atmosphere seems a bit dated. There is also really good German cuisine, and I can particularly recommend the beef cheeks. The portions are decent, so the overall price-performance ratio is also very good. In summer, the terrace right by the lake invites you to linger. All of this is rounded off by the good, friendly service, which has also been provided by permanent staff for many years. Please keep it up, just sometimes fewer peas and more mixed vegetables on the plate.

I had lentil stew and sat in the beer garden! Fast friendly service, lentils were delicious!

Traditional restaurant with terrace and gondola pond near Kohren-Sahlis. Very good cuisine, interior design with regional pottery is special. The service staff responds to feasible special requests (candle on the table).

We were there in a larger group with 2 small children and felt really comfortable. When the weather is nice, you can sit right by the lake and to keep the children busy for a while, you can also take a few steps for a walk. We were particularly excited about the expertise and advice regarding food allergies etc., as this is really an issue for us. Without asking in the kitchen, we were informed about the ingredients and offered alternatives - unfortunately this is not yet a given everywhere. Thank you very much for that!! Everything was lovingly prepared and tasted really good. If we're in the area again, we'll be happy to come back :)

Had dinner here today. Unfortunately, my pasture-raised beef steak was a bit overcooked. And for my taste, I think the chef is newly in love. Despite all this, the steak was of great quality. The service friendly and quick. Prices are local. The restaurant is idyllically located by a pond and invites you to linger. I will give the place a second chance. See you next time.

Picturesque location with opportunities for walking and hiking. Always friendly and attentive service, good food. During the restaurant's opening hours you can also get lost in a pedal boat on the beautiful pond in front of the restaurant and the restored watermill, which is worth seeing.

We went for ice cream. In itself it is beautiful there. It would just be better if there were more shade options in hot temperatures. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my sundae. It had nothing to do with a fruit room but rather a fruit accident. It's a shame... And just because you want a different type of ice cream you have to pay an extra €1.

Great excursion restaurant with cozy rural charm. The service was really great.. very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the meat in the lunch dish was mixed and thus detracted from the enjoyment. Well worth a visit in any case.

We were here as a self-help group and had therefore pre-ordered. We were very satisfied with everything and would like to come back.

Restaurant seems to rate by face. Apparently special requests are not welcomed at all. Salad very bland and boring, dropped food is put back on the plate with your finger. And overall way too overpriced. Nice ambience, nice surroundings. That makes up for it somewhat. Not necessarily again. A pity. The best thing to eat there is schnitzel with fries and a beer. Then it works, then you are welcome.

We always come here with the family at Easter and Christmas since grandma was too old to cook for herself. But it tastes like grandma made it herself. The solution with the large hall serves its purpose so that large families can find space and have a good meal. Staff always very friendly and able to handle the stress. Dogs are also welcome. For special occasions there is also a small room for 10 people where you can sit alone. We always like to come

Despite many reservations on a spontaneous visit to get to know the Lindenvorwerk, we got a table, quick, friendly service, good taste in generous portions... we'll definitely be back 😉

We were in this beautiful restaurant for the first time on June 6th, 2024, and in the wonderful weather we were able to enjoy the view of the lake. The food was very tasty and we would love to come back.

The inn, beautifully located by the fish pond, is tidy and clean, the service was very friendly and competent. A tourist restaurant. The food was good, not special, I would have expected a little more individuality in the taste for the prices.

The cozy beer garden is right next to the gondola pond. The waitresses are quick, friendly and courteous.

How can you charge €18.50 for a schnitzel (frozen?) with canned mushrooms, the cheapest fries and a few dried-out lettuce leaves? Unfortunately, this dish won't make you famous. The waffle for the dessert with hot cherries and ice cream is also just warm and not fresh. (packaged from the supermarket)

It no longer has anything to do with a men's day pilgrimage site. A pity!!!!!!!!

If you booked in advance, it wasn't a problem to eat there with two large dogs. The service was friendly and helpful.

And once again our trip took us to this place. The terrace right by the lake is always a cozy place to linger. After dinner, a short walk and finally coffee and ice cream. The mill museum is also worth a visit. The prices of the food would of course also increase here. A lunch for two with drinks, around €50.

I've been there for years and I'm totally horrified and disappointed! I ate ice cream with my family and yes, what can I say! Firstly, no one came to order so I went in to order, secondly we waited 45 minutes for our order, thirdly the fruit sundae was the last thing you think of fresh fruit like in the menu in the picture, that's how it should look . We got ice cream with frozen fruit out of the bag. We will never go there again! Absolute zero number

A very nice restaurant, a trip there is always worth it. You should book a table.

The atmosphere is nice and cozy, there is a beautiful outdoor terrace...it's best to book a table in advance. For example, you can go pedal boating on the lime pond. Next door is a still functioning mill... a playground and a mini golf course for the kids. There was a point deduction for the service, but it was a carnival event....otherwise, when the house is full, the service is quick and fulfills every wish, big or small ☺️

A great place for a family vacation.

We've been there for the second time and each time we were sent away in a very rude manner. We will no longer drive to the Lindenvorwerck. Due to the rude manner, I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Very busy restaurant for an early Sunday afternoon. Nevertheless, everyone was very friendly and there was a place for us after a short wait. The food was, as always, very tasty. When the season starts, it's a really nice destination for coffee and cake with outdoor dining. However, lunch is also recommended.

Very nice service, friendly and quick, and the atmosphere in the extra room was also very pleasant. But the food was a total failure. Carelessly done. Dear chef, there wasn't much fresh there. We had different meat dishes and all of them were tough and tasted at the lowest limit. The price level did not correspond to the quality in any way. It's a shame, we won't test it again.

First we entered the restaurant and were treated very unfriendly. We entered the restaurant and were ignored at first and then when we had someone we could ask for a seat, we received a very rude answer, the waitresses in the entrance area are very unfriendly , the young man who served us instead during the meal was very, very friendly. We ordered four ice creams, an iced coffee and a main course, which was ok, the rest was unfortunately very bad, the ice cream for the children wasn't as pictured, there were maybe four Smarties on it, there are about 40 on it in the picture... The ice cream cafe It tasted really bad, and the fruit ice cream definitely wasn't fresh fruit and it didn't look at all like the picture, rather mushy and unappetizing!!!!! I've never had such bad ice cream before

Auf einer Radtour spontan angehalten. Ambiente, ist eben eher rustikal, nicht top modern. Man fühlt sich aber trotzdem wohl. Bedienung sehr nett. Speisekarte ist klein, aber fein. Essen, hier gibt es leider keine große Auswahl an vegetarischen Essen. Trotzdem ok für mich gewesen. Reservierung denke ich ist Pflicht, da sehr gut besucht.

War mit Kind und Vater dort. Essen innerhalb von 20 Minuten auf dem Tisch-typische Hausmannkost, superlecker (Klöße, Hirschgoulasch, Roulade, Rotkohl) Schnitzel etwas zäh aber die Pommes Frites waren fantastisch. Alle waren begeistert. Besuch danach des Irrgartens der Sinne gleich gegenüber.

Spontan bei einer Radtour hier eingekehrt, das schöne Wetter hat natürlich viele angelockt und wir mussten uns mit einem Sitzplatz drinnen vergnügen. Draußen sitzt man genau am See, echt toll. Es war ziemlich viel los, entsprechende Wartezeiten sind einzukalkulieren. Ansonsten war alles ok.

Wir waren heute mit entsprechender Reservierung zum Mittagessen vor Ort. Am Wochenende ist es immer sehr voll, deswegen kann ich die Reservierung nur empfehlen. Die Bedienung war trotz vollem Haus sehr freundlich und zuvorkommenden. Das Essen hat wie immer lecker geschmeckt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir nutzten die Gelegenheit nach einer Wanderung einen Cappuccino zu trinken. Es wurden nur kleine Tassen serviert, um einen Pott zu bekommen, musste wir zwei bestellen und dieser war auch nur dreiviertel voll und mega viel Schaum. Schade....

Sehr schönes, familienfreundliches Ausflugsziel mit Seeblick .Das Lindenvorwerk ist ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel im Kohrener Land . Die Gaststätte befindet sich am angrenzenden See und bietet Bootsfahrt, Tretboot u.v.m. Der Irrgarten der Sinne und Minigolfanlage befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Eine empfehlenswerte Gaststätte. Essen sehr gut, Preise angemessen. Schönes Ambiente. Man sollte allerdings am Wochenende reservieren. Bedienung musste ganz schön rennen, da sehr voll war und eine weitere Kellnerin gut gewesen wäre.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, kündigt sich auch hin und wieder nach Bedarf an Speisen und Getränken. Der Preis ist Motorrad und angemessen. Das Ambiente ist malerisch
