We enjoyed our Lindenhof RV dinner. Delicious, just like in a restaurant...

Highly recommended! We were passing through and stopped at the first restaurant we saw – and our expectations were simply exceeded! Even though it was very busy, we were given a very warm welcome and were offered a table upstairs so we wouldn't have to leave. And finally, it couldn't have been better than being able to eat comfortably and in peace 😄 The food was also excellent. I can only recommend it ☺️ It's rare to have such friendly service!

Very tasty dinner and breakfast

My girlfriend and I went there today and were absolutely thrilled. The service was top-notch, the cleanliness was impeccable, we've never eaten better!! Highly recommended!

We were guests of the abbey's guesthouse and therefore had dinner and breakfast there. Both times, we received top marks in every respect. Great attention to detail, and everything was beautifully presented and delicious!

We were there for the first time today. The food tasted good and looked nice. I recommend the salad from the buffet and the schnitzel. I really liked the amount of fries. The price is reasonable. I would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at the Sayn Guesthouse for a few days, and breakfast was served at the Lindenhof. Excellent selection, the tables always lovingly set with a very large selection of dishes. Very friendly service! We also had dinner here one evening, and I rarely say it, but that's why you eat out. A schnitzel with fried mushrooms and homemade spaetzle, something you rarely get. Excellently prepared and a taste experience. At first, the "chicken nuggets" for children don't fit the menu, but then real, fresh, and homemade chicken pieces arrive, which taste just as delicious. Clear recommendation, 5 out of 5 stars, and a big compliment and thanks for the great experience!

We booked the upstairs hall at the Lindenhof for our civil wedding and were absolutely thrilled. The food was simply outstanding, delicious, and beautifully presented. The waiters were extremely friendly, attentive, and courteous. Everything was perfect. A highly recommended restaurant.

Fantastic food, friendly service. Unfortunately, we had to wait exactly an hour from the time we arrived until the dishes were served because something was wrongly billed. But the wait was still worth it – super delicious dishes, very appetizingly arranged on the plates.

You can have breakfast there if you sleep in Sayn Abbey, you can also have dinner there

Overnight stay as a cycle tourist in Sayn Abbey. Uncomplicated booking possible via email. Beautiful accommodation, extremely quiet location. Clean rooms. Gladly again for several nights. Friendly reception. Delicious dinner at the Gasthaus Lindenhof.

This evening we had veal liver with apples and homemade mashed potatoes as well as a Viennese veal schnitzel. There were three of us and we had no expectations. And then our food came. Top service, super friendly staff, and the food was unbeatably tasty and perfectly prepared. All three of us haven't had such good food at a really reasonable price for a long time. This is the top grade from all of us.

As a tourist, you ask your landlord for the first evening where you can have a good meal in town in the evening. I was told this location. (and was directly advised not to follow Google Maps, but to take the street below.) The Lindenhof met exactly the desired expectations, a two-page menu with around 12 dishes, and a seasonal menu with 3 dishes. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste, with a combination of cranberries, pineapple, cheese and schnitzel (and a little more). We went there a second time during our vacation because my companion also wanted this schnitzel. In terms of price, I have to say between 20 and 30€ below, but only because I enjoyed 2-3 beers. Some dishes on the menu were cheaper than €20

We absolutely loved the Lindenhof. We had breakfast here as guests of the Abtei Sayn guesthouse and almost left too early - luckily we didn't miss it! Instead of a typical buffet, you can expect a lovingly prepared, individually prepared breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired. There was fresh bread and rolls, a rich selection of cheese, sausage and Mettwurst, homemade jam, tomato mozzarella, creamy strawberry yoghurt, fresh fruit salad and orange juice. Eggs were prepared upon request, including scrambled eggs with bacon. Everything was fresh, high quality and prepared with a lot of love. Particularly noteworthy is the warm and attentive service. The staff were exceptionally friendly and made sure we didn't lack for anything. The atmosphere at Lindenhof is cozy and inviting, just the right place for a perfect start to the day. If you're in the area, you shouldn't miss this breakfast - a clear recommendation!

It wasn't bad. But if you already have fries on the menu, they should be good fries. Otherwise I can also go to Mc Doof. But the burger was okay.

The Lindenhof offers a very nice and harmonious ambience. You can also sit outside in this cozy alley on Abteistrasse and end the day with a delicious glass of wine. The staff is very attentive and the menu is small and clear. The homemade marrow dumpling soup was excellent.

An insider tip for the best food. The freshness and taste completely convinced me. I have rarely enjoyed such a fantastic rump steak. A belated greeting to the kitchen again. That was the best craftsmanship.

If you stay overnight in Sayn Abbey, you will get a really first-class breakfast, something you rarely see even in high-quality hotels. The absolute main argument for staying overnight there.

Food is always really great. We'd love to come back

This restaurant was recommended to us through a tip. We called in advance and got a seat spontaneously. The burger or the schnitzel are highly recommended.

Breakfast was great, food was excellent (thanks to the chefs), staff was very attentive and accommodating. Extra requests will be taken into account. In my opinion - best restaurant in town. Limited space, so reservations may be advisable. Even after years of visiting the restaurant again, it has lost none of its charm. The food was perfect, the presentation excellent. It's a shame that I was full at some point. So I'll probably come back at some point.

The staff must be a joke. We didn't have time to sit down and the waitress with glasses immediately looked at us as if we were intruders. When I asked about the menu, she immediately replied with a raised voice and obvious contempt that there was no menu. To my surprise, I just smiled and we left. it looked good but the staff was total crap. I don't say hello.

Unfortunately, salad is only available for self-service at the buffet, which you cannot visit if the table is full.

The Lindenhof has been serving excellent food of very good quality for years and has always been lovingly and modernly prepared. The size of the dishes and the prices are absolutely fair for the good food. The service is always friendly and courteous. The only drawback is the few opportunities to sit outside. I can definitely recommend the Lindenhof.

This restaurant is somewhat remote in Sayn. The food was very tasty and is obviously made fresh for each guest. Because of this and a few orders at the same time, we had to wait almost an hour for our food. But it was worth it!

I went there for dinner with friends. It was horribly salty and burnt.

Erg lekker gegeten, wel erg grote porties … Vriendelijke snelle bediening. Het restaurant is ook meteen de plek voor het ontbijt van het hotel (de Abtei): geweldig goed en compleet ontbijt. En alles ziet er goed en netjes onderhouden uit. De Abtei, simpel maar een lekker rustige slaapgelegenheid.

Wir hatten ein ausgezeichnetes Frühstück mit Brot und Brötchen, Croissants, Käse und Wurst, Lachs, kleine Frikadellchen Marmelade, Schokoaufstrich... Es gab Obstsalat mit Joghurt und ein kleines Stück Kuchen. Kaffee gab es in der Thermoskanne und stand schon auf dem Tisch wie alles andere auch. Vieles wurde in kleinen Gläschen angerichtet. So kann der Tag entspannt beginnen.

We were there yesterday by chance because we were looking for a restaurant for lunch after visiting the castle gardens. It was the best meal we had enjoyed in a very long time. This is where most self-proclaimed “upscale” restaurants can’t compete. Meat, fish and the corresponding sauces and side dishes are fresh, to the point, an experience in terms of taste and a great price-performance ratio. Even though we don't live in the region, we will come back again. Thank you for the great spontaneous lunch.

We only had breakfast there. The breakfast table was already lavishly set upon arrival. Meatballs, yoghurt, tomatoes/mozzarella, cheese, sausage, jam, cake, carrot heads, fruit salad... on request there was sparkling wine and eggs in various variations.

Celebrated my birthday here with a medium-sized group. All meals were chosen à la carte. Wasn't a problem for the kitchen! Everything was served at the same time. All dishes chosen were of good quality; So tasty and visually a pleasure too! The only downside was the lack of availability in the quantity of wine of one variety. Each wine brand was good on its own, but always sold out quickly. The concept should be checked. Sometimes less variety is more! Otherwise, unreserved praise for the kitchen and the service staff assigned to us!

A great restaurant. The food is really good. Only the drinks could be “refilled” more often. The food is beautifully decorated. Like a star restaurant. Update 2022 The food is still super tasty. Sorry about the service, but you wait forever until you can reorder something to drink. I have to say it tastes really good and is of high quality. In terms of price, the whole thing has reached the limit. For a schnitzel with chanterelle sauce, €30 is pretty steep. Of course everything will be more expensive but that's really steep.

Waren zu dritt mal wieder zu Gast. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Es hat ein bisschen gedauert, aber alles hat super geschmeckt, das war es uns wert. Wer auf Geschwindigkeit Wert legt, geht zu McDonalds. Wir kommen wieder.

Heerlijke en prachtig opgemaakte schnitzels. Zelfs mijn lieve Kücki, Marion, uit Neuwied Gladbach kende het niet. Een ontdekking. Aardige mensen ook.

Wir haben mit 11 Personen gemeinsam gegessen. Alles perfekt alles zur gleichen Zeit. Ob Vorspeise, Hauptgang oder Dessert. Super angerichtet und lecker zubereitet. Alle 11 Personen werden wiederkommen. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist auf jeden Fall in Ordnung.

Angenehme Lokation für eine Familien Feier. Sehr leckeres Essen (dreierlei Vorspeisen, Steak, Kalbsleber, Fisch, ...), freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung... Was will man/Frau mehr. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Es dauert einen Moment bis man sich als Gast angekommen fühlt. Dann wird man durch hervorragendes Essen überrascht und mehr als entschädigt. Optisch absolut ansprechend serviert - die Vorspeise wie die Hauptgerichte. Und es bleibt nicht beim optischen Genuss, der Geschmack aller Gerichte am Tisch (wir waren zu viert) hat alle Wünsche erfüllt. Wir waren sicher nicht das letzte Mal dort.

De kalfslever in thijmsaus is "umwerfend" evenals de Pfifferlinge. Ook een heerlijk ontbijt genuttigd.

Das Essen ist lecker und die Speisekarte hebt sich bei den Gerichten von vergleichbaren Restaurants deutlich ab.

Wir sind auf den Lindenhof gestoßen, weil wir in der Abtei Sayn übernachtet haben und hier die Beköstigung stattfindet. Das Essen war liebevoll angerichtet und von hoher Qualität. Die etwas höheren Preise waren völlig angemessen.

Sensationelles Frühstück für einen fairen Preis. Alles in kleinen Gläschen serviert. Das Rührei wurde frisch zubereitet mit frischen Kräutern, Tomaten und auf Wunsch mit Speck. Es gab ein kleines Stückchen Kuchen, Schokoküsse, Croissants, Obstsalat und vieles mehr. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen gerne wieder :-)

Wir hatten ein wunderbares Abendessen und wurden sehr freundlich bedient. Am nächsten Morgen haben wir ein Frühstück genießen dürfen, welches keine Wünsche offen ließ und auch das Ambiente war sehr ansprechend.
