A bit old, rooms good and clean, window insulation isn't the best, the bathroom wasn't the most modern either. Good service, hotel staff are very friendly and do a good job, very solution-oriented.

Large hotel in a central location. Room furnishings are a bit older, but ok. Free candy and coffee available to everyone in the lobby. Great value for money. At breakfast everything was sufficient. Hot dishes were rather lukewarm. All in all a nice stay at the Leonardo in Karlsruhe.

Business hotel in a good location. The service is particularly worth mentioning, as are the “small” extras such as the sweets stand or, now in Advent, the mulled wine table. The room is a bit old, but still in perfect condition. There is a coffee bar in the room. The bed is not worn out. There are 2 pillows of different hardness and size. The room is only made upon request, which we consider to be a very positive thing. We think the price/performance ratio is very good

I have to honestly say I can definitely recommend the hotel, the staff at reception was very friendly and they even gave us a small welcome beer. All in all a very nice and pleasant stay. But one person stood out because of his very friendly approach to the guests (Christian from the bar), a very, very cool guy.

Blood Stains Left Unclean in the Room – Serious Concerns About Hygiene and Zero Solutions from Staff If you’re looking for solutions, they simply refund your money and leave you to resolve the night on your own. This sums up the level of service at this so-called 4-star hotel. The facilities and services are far below what you’d expect for such a rating. Not recommended for anyone who values quality service or even basic hygiene standards. My experience here in Karlsruhe was deeply disappointing, far below the level I’ve come to expect from other hotels in the Leonardo,'s chain. The hotel boasts a beautiful lobby, but the rooms are of poor quality, and customer service is utterly disappointing. A regrettable experience – this establishment does not live up to its reputation. Avoid if you care about cleanliness or a proper hotel stay.

A somewhat outdated hotel, but this is made up for by the incredible friendliness and diligence of the staff. We would like to highlight Mr. Baran Türkyilmaz, who really did everything to make the guest feel comfortable and welcome. From the welcome drink to the easy room change, the nice candy bar for guests and the really good, rich breakfast - you'll love coming back here!

Great value for money Center of the city, close to main shopping area. Decent terrace for outdoor dining, or drinks. Rooms are good size and clean. Nice views from upper floors. Motivated staff make stay pleasant.

The hotel urgently requires a renovation: walls, lights, paintings and coatings, everything is falling apart. They have one lift working for a building that has 10 floors. The restaurant had no healthy option for dinner, I had to order outside,but was not allowed to eat the restaurant of the hotel despite ordering drinks there. Staff was not friendly. Breakfast room overcrowded, understaffed, and with poor food choice

The elevator was broken, but I was assigned a room on the 11th floor. It was difficult to drag the suitcase up, but I was able to digest the food I ate during the trip.

Conveniently located on the tram. An average hotel with friendly service and good breakfast. The interior clearly reflects the year the building was built, but is well maintained and clean.

Everything was perfect, especially the price-performance ratio is unbeatable.

We stayed at your hotel a week ago with a wedding party. We occupied 10 rooms. We received very friendly, very professional advice and support beforehand. The hotel contacts were very well informed about our situation. All agreements were kept. Our guests and we felt very comfortable. The rooms were quiet and clean. The beds were very good, TV and internet via WLAN worked perfectly. The convenient location in Karlsruhe should be emphasized. Especially the connection to public transport. Here is the Augartenst stop, right next to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was very extensive and up to date. The hotel bar was a popular meeting place. The service staff at the buffet and the hotel bar were very friendly and helpful. The hotel portal was manned 24 hours a day. We were very satisfied and will come back.

I had unexpected problems on the way to Karlsruhe. For whatever reason, the back window of my car shattered. After checking in and briefly explaining the problem, the staff did their best to help me. You don't have that everywhere. Great team, very nice 👍

It is a good hotel, which as many have already written, is a bit old. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. We were welcomed with champagne and there is a candy bar for the kids. Negative: only one of three elevators worked. With 11 floors there was a lot of traffic jam in front of the elevators. Breakfast is really good. Really suitable for one or two nights.

When I arrived, I was welcomed by a dirty carpet and also sticky desk, probably from cups used by a guest before me. A tap in the bathroom was broken, and water was going all around the bath. Also, when checking in, I wasn't informed that money reservation from my card was not successful, so I ended up one night kissing the door of my room and having an unpleasent experience at the desk. Simply solved by using a credit instead of a debit card. This is my third time staying here in the last two years with colleagues from the firm, but we agreed to change our hotel in the future.

Very friendly staff, my room was obviously newly renovated and really very good, also the bathroom. The elevator Situation, though, is a joke. 2 of 3 tiny elevators out of service in a high-rise building is not o.k. at all.

The loudest night I've ever experienced in a hotel. Party in the neighboring rooms between 3 and 5 o'clock. A complaint to reception at 4 a.m. only brought a few minutes of relaxation

For our planned visit to Karlsruhe Zoo, we chose the Leonardo Hotel as our accommodation. If you stand in front of it, you might be shocked for a moment - a simple, functional building from the 1960s that doesn't seem very inviting. However, the reception at the reception was extremely friendly and the welcome drink that was served was also a surprise. The room was sufficiently large and clean, but the ravages of time are a bit gnawing at the corners. The breakfast buffet was well stocked, the food was fresh and attractively presented. While the staff was very attentive on the first morning, it was a bit slow on the second day - a table right next to ours that was completely covered in rubbish was unfortunately not cleared away during a stay of around an hour. The zoo was about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, so the location was perfect for our purposes.

The hotel is in a great location on the edge of Karlsruhe city center and you can reach the center in 5 minutes by tram (plus a 5-minute walk to the stop). You can easily get to the city and the surrounding area in all directions by train. The advertised underground car park with a daily rate of 15 euros turned out to be a public car park, over which the hotel has no influence regarding the rates. The 15 euros are only considered the maximum rate if you stand there continuously. This should be communicated better. Otherwise, with a bit of luck, there will be a few free parking spaces directly in front of the hotel. The condition of the rooms was disappointing and does not do justice to the Leonardo chain. We were used to better things from Leonardo. Normally the Leonardo rooms look unmistakably the same (purple curtains, striped carpet), but here the room didn't have that look at all. It is unclear where the rooms with a Karlsruhe motif shown in the profile and corresponding to this standard should be on the wall. Maybe the “comfort” room was a category too low for this? Breakfast sufficient but not up to standard. The only real point of criticism is the rubbery soft rolls. What really stands out is the very friendly and service-ready staff. Thanks to the ladies and gentlemen. Without you, the house would not be worth 2 stars given its condition. The stay in Karlsruhe was great, the stay in the hotel did not meet Leonardo's usual expectations.

I was there for one night with my girlfriend. From the outside the hotel looks like a hospital and residential building. The staff is very nice and helpful. There are little touches like free ice cream and a bottle of water in the room and tea and coffee. Which was good. The hotel manager has very unpleasant guests. When your room neighbor calls when you go into his room. I'm going to take a round of cocaine now, it's not that good. In addition, the rooms facing the hallway are very noisy. There were a lot of drunk guests in the hotel. About the cleanliness. There was garbage under the bed and the elevator smelled of alcohol and other things. Something like that really doesn't work and it's not ok. The outside is therefore only cleaned on the surface and not cleaned under the beds. The rooms are very small. The condition is ok but a bit old. The internet is not that good. The connection keeps dropping out and is sometimes very slow. The Lange is central and has good tram connections. The zoo is nearby. The hotel is nothing older for me. There are better ones

Gutes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal und schönem Ambiente. Leider etwas wenig (kostenlose) Parkplätze, Tiefgarage aber nebenan. Einziges Manko: nur große "hohe" Kopfkissen und keine Abhilfe

Wir hatten uns spontan eine Nacht im Hotel gebucht, da wir auf einer Feier waren. Nettes Personal und das Zimmer ist absolut ausreichend. Begeistert waren wir vom Frühstück, tolle Auswahl und das Personal war nett und sehr zuvorkommend. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Gerne wieder.

Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage. Man ist zu Fuß in 10min am Einkaufszentrum Ettlinger Tor. Am Empfang wurde man herzlich begrüßt. Der Service abends an der Bar ist unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam. Alles top!
