Lehmofen in Göttingen

The ambiance is lovely and the welcome was friendly. The main course, sauerbraten on savoy cabbage with mashed potatoes, was delicious and beautifully presented. The dessert, however, was a complete disappointment: The Kaiserschmarrn arrived less than five minutes after ordering – and it tasted exactly as bad. Cold, uninspired, and clearly a pre-made product. Completely unacceptable for €10. Even worse was the reaction to my complaint: Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, the whole thing was simply smiled away. That's no way to treat guests. It's a shame about the lovely atmosphere – with this kind of service and attitude, I certainly won't be returning.

It's okay, but there are better options in Göttingen. It's a bit run-down after years of use, and some of the staff could be friendlier...

Excellent - would gladly use again

Very friendly and competent hosts. The pizzas were delicious and highly recommended. We'll gladly come back!

I apologize in advance for such negative feedback, but my dinner was also ruined. I ordered a Caesar salad... but they just brought me lettuce leaves smothered in a supermarket-bought "Caesar" sauce, with fried chicken pieces and three huge pieces of bread. It's supposed to be Caesar salad, and... it cost 15 euros, which, of course, isn't worth it at all. My mood was completely ruined. I'd also like to note that the place where we were sitting was littered with vomit, and no one cleaned it up.
