Leandros has become one of our favorite Greek restaurants. The pleasant atmosphere with attractively furnished rooms, the summer terraces in the natural setting near a lake, the rooms for family events and parties, the huge parking lot, and the federal bowling alley for fun and relaxation are all pleasant additions. The friendly team is always friendly and attentive. The food is excellent. A good selection of vegetarian dishes is also available. During the most popular times, groups should make reservations in advance, otherwise it will be difficult to find a seat. You also sometimes need a bit of patience, as Leandros is becoming increasingly popular and the kitchen is sometimes under pressure. Still, highly recommended!

It's always a pleasure to visit a beautiful restaurant, especially one with a great outdoor area. Attentive and friendly staff also contribute to a positive experience. When the food is delicious, it rounds off the perfect visit.

We celebrated my 80th birthday at Leandros on August 17, 2025. We had a separate room for ourselves, which was tastefully decorated. The service was very attentive, and the food was excellent. Alfons Hartogs from Geesthacht.

Not so pretty from the outside, but nice and cozy inside. Large terrace. All the dishes were really delicious. The calamari rings were nice and tender and well seasoned. However, there were a lot of garlic pieces on them, which must have been poured over as garlic oil. I would skip the order if you're not a huge garlic fan. The gyro was crispy and tender. Also really delicious 😋 There was a house ouzo at the beginning and end.

We received a very friendly and prompt welcome, even though we didn't have a reservation. The staff was very attentive and friendly. My beef steak was perfectly cooked medium-rare, and my husband's gyro mix was also amazing. We'll be back!

That was the last time. We've been to Leandros several times, celebrating two confirmations there. Today was definitely our last time there. We were two families with a total of nine people (five children). We weren't greeted warmly, but we were given a table. So, everything was fine for us at first. However, things started happening at the table, or rather, didn't start happening, as there was no service. After 30 minutes, the drinks were served, but not immediately. After another 30 minutes, the food was served. Other guests who arrived later were served much faster and received their food quickly. We were told it was busy. Unfortunately, only for us, but not for the other guests. After more than 2.5 hours, we finally got our food. Many guests after us had already had their food and were finished. This shows harassment; this was our last visit, and we'll be celebrating my 50th birthday somewhere else. This isn't customer-friendly; there wasn't even an apology. Sorry - NEVER AGAIN

The food at Leandros is delicious, and the service is friendly and attentive. However, the bread is rarely fresh—and that shouldn't be the case. That really bothers me!

Large restaurant, plenty of space inside, lovely terrace. The meat is tender, but not always cooked all the way through! You have to be very careful when paying!!! This happened to us three times now: Once, we were "accidentally" charged for a bottle of wine instead of a bottle of water. On our second visit, the bill included two liqueurs that we didn't order and therefore didn't get. This was dismissed as "regrettable." On our third and probably last visit, we were told the total amount of our bill, but without receiving a receipt. We said we'd like a receipt. After some annoyed eye-rolling, we received our receipt. It's a shame that it creates the impression that guests can be ripped off. The food is very expensive, but it's delicious. Some waiters, especially the "older" one, are always very grumpy, and every guest thinks they're in a bad mood or that everything is too much for them. The friendliness of the staff leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, you don't really feel like you're in good hands there.

It took a while before I was noticed at the entrance... oh well. At first, they said sitting outside wasn't allowed. Then the manager (?) came and said it was okay 😀 Gyros/souflaki good quality/quantity. Tzatziki tasty. Fries unfortunately much too hard - as if they'd been fried twice. Next time I'll choose rice or chips as a side 👍🏻 Small one with salad okay. Could add a piece of feta. Dressing okay. Wheat beer okay (could be a bit colder), I like the ouzo before and afterward (but please colder too!!!)... I'll be back in 2-3 weeks and will report back. Overall, the service was nice and friendly.

We went there on a Saturday evening without a reservation – no problem. The food was served quickly, the portions were definitely generous, and everything was delicious. The staff were all very friendly. There's also a good selection for vegetarians. Highly recommended!

A large Greek restaurant with really good food. I can recommend the large mixed platter with warm starters.

We were celebrating a birthday; the space was large enough. The food was okay, but nothing more. The waiter seemed very stressed, and he also served drinks rather sporadically. With about 30 people, he only took 2-3 drinks at a time and then ran off. The highlight, however, was the bowling that followed. The first room that was supposed to be tidy and was assigned to us unfortunately wasn't. Then we were directed to two other rooms, one of which had a table full of old glasses... well, not so bad, we just had to bring it up ourselves... Then we wanted to go bowling, but unfortunately it wasn't possible. The bowling alley was so old that we were all completely overwhelmed with how to set it up the way we wanted (number of players, game, etc.). We tried a bit, googled it, and even asked on chatgpt... nothing seemed to work... so we just bowled a few balls rather listlessly while they asked if someone could set it up for us or at least explain it to us. The answer: we only know how to turn it on. Hmm, okay, maybe they should improve that. So, I won't be coming here anymore. Maybe I'll order gyros through Lieferando; I personally thought that was pretty good.

We were there as a group of just over 30 people and wouldn't go back. The guests weren't well looked after, for example, with regard to drinks. Nothing was done without asking, or even asking repeatedly. What a pity, jam.

Delicious food and large portions. Since it is usually busy, the service sometimes reaches its limits.

Food tastes good, although the description of the menu is not precise. The operating staff is chaotic and unstructured. From my point of view, the worst thing was the lack of warmth and attention, coupled with a lack of manners such as please, thank you... For me, this interaction seemed as if the guest was more of a nuisance. These people have no place in the restaurant industry! Therefore it stays with this first visit. Fortunately, there are many Greek restaurants where you are still appreciated.

Here you can eat very tasty food in a nice atmosphere. Also outside in summer. Nice service and good price/performance ratio. We always enjoy coming back.

Too much salt in the meat and the staff wasn't friendly

I don't know where some critics ate! Yes, the restaurant is big, thank God there is space! There are really enough parking spaces! The innkeepers are Greek, and nice and accommodating; The food is good and sufficient even for “strong men” and it tastes delicious😋. There are also plenty of options for vegetarians! And yes, if guests sit in separate rooms and groups eat there, then serving trolleys are driven back and forth, who wants to bother with that? Who can reserve an entire restaurant for themselves? Criticism is always good when appropriate; But some of the complaining annoys me!

Entrance or registration is impossible due to space constraints. The waiters constantly come rolling up with the carts and you constantly have to move to the side. The space is large, you can also find a rather quiet corner. Price-performance is not right in my opinion. Unfortunately it's not Greek enough for me. I could have eaten somewhere else. Not lovingly prepared. The waiters are also absent and not very friendly, which is what I usually know from Greeks. There were four of us and we won't eat there again.

Good food, large portions and many options on the menu

Good food, but not exactly cheap. The classic gyros with fries costs €13 and is normal size. You don't have to expect the huge portions that are usual with many Greeks. Good because then you don't throw away so much, but it also doesn't make it possible to divide a portion into two. In summer the large wooden veranda outside is beautiful.

Today we were at Leandros for the first time with nine people. The room initially seems very large; But even though the place was very busy, the noise overall was absolutely tolerable. The service was a bit slow at times, but very friendly. We ate lamb chops, gyros, lamb shank, moussaka and souflaki as well as shrimp and pulp... The meat was very tender and the moussaka was also fantastically seasoned. Maybe not for dinner for two, but Leandros is a good choice, especially for larger groups.

Real insider tip: Great tender-crispy gyros, delicious French fries, great mixed side salad, very good tzatziki. And the nicest driver in Hamburg. You can also eat well on site, especially in summer you can sit on the terrace in the countryside. The lake next door invites you to take a short walk after dinner. Directly at WSV Berner Au, so countless parking spaces in front of the door.

Unfortunately, our visit was anything but pleasant. We had reserved the bowling alley in advance for a celebration with around 20 guests and expressly agreed that we could bring two cakes with us - for the agreed basket fee. But as soon as we arrived we were greeted unfriendly and reprimanded for the cakes we had brought with us, as if we had done something forbidden. Instead of a polite clarification, we were ignored at the counter and every attempt to clarify the situation was rudely blocked. We were even accused of lying and insulted - a completely unacceptable way to treat guests! This was particularly disturbing for the children present, but the entire circle of friends was also stunned by this disrespect. In addition, we were unpleasantly suggested several times to eat in the restaurant, even though we specifically only wanted to rent the bowling alley. This intrusive manner only reinforced the negative impression. Such disrespectful and customer-unfriendly behavior is unacceptable. If you value friendliness and hospitality, you should avoid this restaurant! We will never set foot in this restaurant again and we will also complain to the sports club to which this bowling alley belongs.

The food was so-so. The sheep's cheese from the package was quickly warmed up. The filet plate was also quite clear, the dessert for almost €9, two scoops of vanilla ice cream with lukewarm cherries from a glass (morello cherries) could also be saved. The restaurant is relatively expensive, but we didn't find the quality of the food reflected in the price. The service was also very slow and, above all, inattentive! We sat in front of empty plates and glasses for over half an hour. We also had to wait a long time for repeat orders. We went to the front for the bill... since no one came. Staff was friendly and nice. We won't eat there anymore. Too bad.

On Tuesday November 12th We went bowling there in 24. An employee welcomed us very, very unfriendly and we had to wait forever for the food. Even when paying you were served rudely and rudely by the same unfriendly employee.

Typical “I pay 100% price for 20% quality” Greek. Prices increased - quality reduced. After 2 hours the food we ordered came lukewarm... I live 900 meters away. Called after 90 minutes. Woman on the phone cheekily lies that she was just about to call me. The driver doesn't speak German, rings the bell for all the neighbors... then shows me the receipt and asks if that's my name. Awkward

Very high prices for poor quality. The bifteki is super soft, the minced portion is very little. Adulterated drinks containing water are probably not a new rumor here, nor is the underground service. Food served lukewarm as many others here have already described. Gyros cut very coarsely, greasy and slimy instead of crispy. I'm from the hotel industry myself and I have to say it's good that this restaurant is located far, far away from the center of Hamburg. 0815 Greek would be too much praise!

Unfortunately it's no longer the top Greek restaurant it used to be! The prices have been increased drastically this year and unfortunately no longer match the smaller portions. We had the feeling that maximizing profits came way before guest satisfaction. Two examples: The starter platter consists of 3 slices of fried zucchini, 3 slices of fried aubergine, a fried pepper, a small fried sheep's cheese wedge and 5 tablespoon-sized dollops of dip. Price: 17.50. At other local Greeks you can get stuffed grape leaves, seafood salad, etc. in addition to the dips and peppers for significantly less money. When paying, the second thing you notice is that in the future you will be charged money for packaging the uneaten food ("doggy bag"). So would you rather save money and throw away food? Furthermore, (very friendly) parts of the team have obviously been replaced and unfortunately the smiles have now disappeared from most employees' faces. Making an appointment by telephone is somewhat reminiscent of communicating with German authorities: "When? How many people? Name?" We will switch to the other local Greeks in the future. It's a shame, because LEANDROS was once the absolute number 1 in the forest villages!

We have already tried several Greek restaurants. You feel in good hands with Leandros. The food is super tasty and not overly seasoned, like some others. Are very satisfied.

I am grateful to have discovered this Greek restaurant by chance and to have learned to love it. From the hospitality to the food, it's just a well-rounded affair. And I have rarely eaten so well. I even like the salad there. Which has always been a thing since childhood :)

We celebrated a 90th birthday here, I was "only" a guest, but I noticed how well the arrangements worked out, so that the adjoining room could be designed really beautifully. The older guests in particular were well looked after. Access with a wheelchair is no problem and oh yes: finally a restaurant with plenty of free parking spaces. Now to the food: simply top and super! Really high quality and tasty. Normally I often have stomach and intestinal problems when I eat Greek. This was my first visit to Greek without any problems! I particularly liked the gyros meat and skewers as well as the antipasti starters (grilled eggplant and zucchini), there was a buffet for us with almost everything on the menu. Drinks were brought quickly and the ouzo was also very tasty. My highlight at the end was also the Tartufo dessert! The two waitresses (owners) were super nice and really charming. Gladly again!

Located right on a small lake, great for walking the dog and then having a delicious meal. Dogs in the restaurant are no problem. When the weather is nice, it's better to reserve seats. The food was very good, that's why we like to go to Leandros. However, minced meat dishes are often very salty and you are absolutely inflexible when making small changes. If so, everything is only possible with a hefty surcharge. We know this differently from other Greeks. The employees are friendly and approachable at any time. Parking is very good, you can always find a parking space right in front of the restaurant.

I can't even put it into words. I am speechless about the sensational fish quality... It's possible...to get high-quality fish in a Greek restaurant. Everything is just right here. From service & ambience to food... I can only recommend everyone to pay a visit to “Leandros”.

Over and over again with pleasure. Very good, fine, fresh and authentic Greek cuisine, meat is of exquisite quality, price performance is absolutely justified. Owners are a real force and thoroughbred hosts. Staff is polite and very friendly. A real pearl of Greek cuisine! Go people, go!!!

I was very positively surprised. Normally, as a vegetarian, I often have problems finding what suits me, especially when it comes to Greek food. I really got full here, everything tasted very good. The service was a bit overwhelmed with our large group and some orders arrived incorrectly or not at all, but I thought that was only human.

When the weather is good, you can eat on the large terrace. Sufficient free parking spaces available.
