Latino Cubana in Köln

It's been a long time since I've had such a bad meal for a lot of money. The Orangina Rouge had already expired 8 weeks ago, but I still had to pay €3.90 for it! The lamb was more of an old mutton, completely gristly and tough. There was supposed to be vegetables as a side dish, since I'm allergic to peppers, I asked if they could please leave them out. That didn't work because it was already pre-cooked; no alternative! Fries were cold and limp. There was no concession or perhaps an espresso or cappuccino as an “apology”. In the end I left frustrated and hungry for €40.50.

Nice Cuban restaurant, with a very lively atmosphere. The food with fresh ingredients was good and very tasty. Prices absolutely reasonable. Despite the restaurant being full, we were served friendly and without a long wait. Thank you very much. Definitely recommended

Was expecting more based on the reviews. We sat in a side room that was pretty spartan. The camera in the corner is also a bit irritating. Food was barely seasoned and lukewarm. The meat was well fried, the cocktails were ok too.

A latino duo played Music during the dinner, but it was too loud to make normal conversation White eating. Good if youre Only there for drinks. Food was nothing to talk about. The waiter made a service charge for 12 euro even though I told her no. Didnt see before I Got Home.

Authentic Cuban Experience! I absolutely loved my visit to this Cuban restaurant! As soon as you enter, you feel as if you have landed in Havana - the warm atmosphere, the Caribbean music and the stylish ambience make the experience perfect. The food was simply fantastic! The ingredients were fresh, the spices were perfectly balanced, and the traditional Cuban dishes tasted like they came straight from Cuba. The service was also excellent: friendly, attentive and with real Cuban warmth. The cocktails were an absolute highlight and rounded off the evening perfectly. I can only warmly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit. A piece of Cuba in the middle of the city – simply great!

Delicious drinks and great spare ribs

We looked at the reviews of this place to be able to go and well, if we had excellent, delicious food... the service is a little slow because obviously there is only one man for all the tables, it is understandable that it goes to full capacity. Otherwise all good food at a good price.

We were there later in the evening and had some snacks and cocktails. Unfortunately the drinks were the worst we've had in a long time. The cocktails were warm, tasted stale and contained hardly any alcohol. Unfortunately very disappointing.

Yesterday very good food with live music :-)

The restaurant impresses with its authentic Cuban flair. On the evening of our visit there was live music, the Latin American sounds were wonderful. The wall decoration was great, photographs and lots of hand-painted pictures... the service was quick and very friendly even though it was really busy and very loud. The food was also authentic, large portions and extremely tasty. Also the strawberry Mojoto was great. We would love to come back when we are in Cologne.

My friend and I ate there, having just arrived in the city from Frankfurt. Fatal, I don't even recommend it. My friend was served a supposed "Ropa Vieja" that has nothing to do with the typical Cuban dish. The taste is nothing to be desired and on top of that it's expensive as hell, see photo. Don't waste your time going there, it's not worth it

Unfortunately very bad service. It can happen that the table we reserved was not yet available at the agreed time. On the other hand, the fact that you are consistently ignored for almost half an hour despite good visibility in the middle of the restaurant is unlikely. We politely asked the staff several times to take our order, to which only a moderately friendly "yes, immediately" was returned. After about half an hour we gave up and left the store. If you read the more recent reviews, it seems that bad experiences with the service are not an isolated case. Personally, I'm also not a fan of the fact that some tables are so close together that you're practically sitting right at the next table. Then go to one of the many other restaurants in the area.

We made an online booking which was confirmed but as we arrived we didn't get any table. We also called the day before to verify the booking which was confirmed.

After the concert, not even 11 p.m., they say more people are coming, but they still clean the "cocktail mixer machine" before 11 p.m. and no more cocktails can be ordered. Although they are open until midnight. They say there were no more customers there. Lol. And then they slowly bring the non-alcoholic 2 drinks.

I went into the store because there was nice live music playing. The ambience is really nice, you can't say. The Corona I ordered came with a very strange slice of lime, thinly sliced ​​and taken out as if from another drink. The vegetarian borrito was inedible, the rice was cold and the vegetables mainly consisted of garlic, peppers and tomatoes, unfortunately not even well cooked. This was the worst vegetarian dish I have ever eaten, even though it was recommended to me. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't really impress us. The live music is good and a nice idea, but when it's so loud that you have to shout at each other to have a conversation while eating, I actually don't think it's that great anymore. The Cosmopolitan was definitely too thin for €9.00 and was also room temperature. My husband ordered a whiskey, according to the menu 4cl. A maximum of 1cl was served. Starters and dips like salsa, sour cream etc were convenience food. Queso al Gratin was gratinated according to the menu, but it wasn't. We had ordered rice as an additional side dish - but the order for the main course was only passed on to the kitchen after a reminder and the rice never came. Service was very nice and friendly, but uncoordinated and overwhelmed. The women's toilet smelled terrible, and one cubicle was missing a flush control panel. There was no soap and the sensor-controlled soap and towel dispensers didn't work. It's a shame about the nice ambience, the place has potential, but doesn't do anything with it.

Very nice and quaint Cuban restaurant in a good walking distance to the Lanxess Arena. The burger was super tasty and you could tell that the meat was freshly prepared. Definitely coming back. However, it is advisable to reserve a table, as it fills up very quickly after 5 p.m.

We had dinner with my friends and found it to be a very nice place, the food was excellent. We tried chimichangas with some beers. I recommend it if you are visiting near the Lanxess Arena!

We were allowed to be there on business with a group of around 18 people on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024. Although we had only reserved up to 15 people, what was needed was pushed together flexibly and charmingly at tables. Service: both the male and female attracted everyone's attention and offered excellent service! Food: everything was great and the restaurant did justice. Ambience: we/I thought it was cool and we felt very comfortable. Deposit 100 EUR for table: understandable and correct. Easy transaction. We would be happy to be your guests again next year! Unfortunately we didn't enjoy our visit to Latino Cubana at all. The guest room is so full of tables and chairs that it is simply too narrow and crowded. It was incredibly loud and very warm and stuffy. Plus, the lights are so dim that most people used their cell phone flashlights to read the menu. So really not a nice atmosphere. We ordered cheeseburgers, which unfortunately were absolutely bad. I wanted to cut it and couldn't get through with the knife. At first I thought the knife was just dull. But it turned out it was the meat patty. It was totally hard, dry and pretty much inedible. The bun was also very sticky and not toasted or toasted. At least the fries were delicious. But at a price of €17.90 for the dish, that was pretty stupid. The service staff were very nice and quick. The toilets were clean and well maintained.

We went to Latino Cubana quite spontaneously after another restaurant gave away our table because we had to look for a parking space for 20 minutes. So I called Latino Cubana and the very friendly waitress secured me a table for 5 people. When we arrived, our colleague knew immediately. Since we were there with a toddler and an infant, we were kindly given a very comfortable, quiet table in a niche. The waiter informed us straight away that it was still happy hour. Accordingly, we also ordered a few delicious cocktails. We even got a few good recommendations from the waiter. For dinner we ordered burritos, chimichangas and quesadas. Everything was very tasty and the portions were generous. There was even an extra children's plate for my 3-year-old nephew. Finally in a portion size that is appropriate for the age. Accordingly, it was also cheaper. There was hot water (free of charge, of course) for my sister's baby so that we could mix the porridge. Overall it was a great afternoon/evening there. Friendly, personable staff who were very attentive, delicious food, a beautiful and cozy location...what more could you want? Gladly again at any time!

The operator lodged an objection against my friend's review due to alleged defamation. If you “leaf through” the reviews, it’s not an isolated case! We were all guests here from time to time, at irregular intervals. The service and the quality of the food decreased over time. Instead of frantically trying to have bad but constructively critical reviews removed, the owner should use the time to think about improving his store.

The grill plate is incredibly tasty and the hot plates are also incredibly good. The girls rock the place. Price performance is absolutely top! The toilets are a bit dated and so is the decoration. But the food and drinks are absolutely in the 5 star range.

Absolute disaster. Were there on a Saturday around 5:30 p.m. with a reservation. Ordering the drinks was quick. In order to order food, we had to call the waiters (after 30 minutes of waiting to see if anyone would come or make eye contact with us). Then we had to wait 45 minutes for the food (burger, burrito - which was supposed to be quick). We probably would have had to wait longer if we hadn't asked. Even the waitress said "It's been a long time since you ordered, right?". And the store was only half full. In order to order new drinks, we had to call the waiters. Self-initiative of the servive forces = zero. The food arrived faulty. We also noticed that many guests were dissatisfied and had to wait forever. Some of them left without eating because it took too long for them. In addition, the food is really worth the price. Everything was only lukewarm, the fries were wobbly and cold, the sauce on the burger was regular ketchup... Way too overpriced for the quality and service.

Sorry. I ordered a hamburger. Arrived totally ice cold. Meat was rock hard. Coutails only asked for water. And that for the price. Had ordered a table and after 2 hours. We were asked to pay so that other guests could come. Where is something like that? Since I knew the previous owner for years, I never experienced anything like that.

A really nice shop with very, very friendly and attentive staff. The seating is a bit too tight for me but that's a matter of taste. We only had cola and spritzer, so I can't say anything about the cocktails. I had a salad with chicken which unfortunately didn't make me very happy. Everything was fresh and crunchy, but unfortunately there was a lot of iceberg and corn. 3 pieces of cucumber, 3 mini pieces of fresh pineapple, 4 strips of chicken and unfortunately no dressing. Unfortunately I wouldn't come back for dinner. But if necessary for a cocktail.

Six of us were here last Saturday and had to wait about an hour and a half for the food. Even the drinks and cutlery arrived very slowly. Unfortunately the main course was only for two of us, so we had to cancel the rest at some point! The service was more than overwhelmed, rude and without manners! If you know in advance that you won't be able to serve a table, then you shouldn't do it! There was even trouble when paying! Furthermore, neither the management nor the waiters are Latin American, so you can say that the place is just a “pseudo Latino Cuban” restaurant. Our very simple conclusion: we will never come here again! A todos los que hablan español: símplemente deciros que no os aconsejo ir este Restaurante!

Ewigkeiten auf das Essen gewartet, als das Essen gebracht wurde waren keine Beilagen dabei, „weil die kurzfristig aus waren“. Auf Nachfrage hätte es normalerweise Ersatz gegeben, „aber heute war ja leider so viel los“, dass das nicht möglich war. Auf Teller, Besteck und vergessene Salate nochmals Ewigkeiten gewartet. Sanitäre Anlagen in desolatem Zustand. Keinerlei Einsehen oder Entgegenkommen, und Geschmack hat den schlechten Service leider in keiner Art und Weise wettgemacht.

I was passing through the city and went with my husband to see so much of (LATINO CUBANA). It is true that it is very well decorated, the food was good but the service was very delayed and the lady who served us forgot to take orders on several occasions. I was only able to have 1 beer in the 2 hours we were there because no worker was aware of whether we needed anything or not. Finally, I was totally ignored by a red-haired girl who served the drinks when, after having paid the bill and having waited a long time, my water did not arrive, she honestly treated me very badly. They definitely must train these workers better, with the client there must always be good treatment and charisma, as well as total concentration.

An absolute recommendation for us. The food was super tasty and really big portions. Very nice wait staff who gave us very good advice and were very attentive. It was well attended and we got our food after about 15 minutes! The Crema Catalana dessert was a dream. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Cologne. And the cocktails 🍹 are simply great!😊

The restaurant had my two-star review, in which I described in detail the poor quality of my food, deleted from Google - because of "defamation". Apparently I'm not the only one who felt this way, see the comments here. If a restaurant does this, it should be a clear warning sign. I have lodged an objection with Google against the deletion.

I attended an event in this venue, though I have not tried the food but only drinks which were ok-ish, but I can say that the service was very rude, unwelcoming and it seemed we constantly just were in a wrong place. One waiter specifically was very bossy kicking us from one place to another and treating us like toddlers in kindergarten. With such service have no any interest or desire to order food or come back for which this low rating. UPDATE: I am lowering the review to 1* from original 2* because the venue accused me in defamation and requested Google to remove the review.

Although we ordered the food together, a friend of ours didn't get his meal until we were finished and no one asked if he wanted something to drink. When I managed to order a 2 Coke it was slammed on our table and they had to pass it to me. Luckily we had enough cash with us because the card reader didn't work. It's a real shame that the service was so bad... we would have come again the next day. The food itself was good.
