A small Italian restaurant with a large wine selection and a limited menu. The food is relatively expensive and the portions aren't large, but it's tasty. It's also very noisy, as the restaurant is small and the seating (bar stools) is very close together.

Food was bad, prices were exorbitant, and service was unfriendly – ​​not recommended. We'll never come back.

Completely overpriced backyard bar/restaurant. A small room. Only high tables with uncomfortable bar stools. Prices: a small Pellegrino 7.90! A half-pint of wine from 6.50. A plate of San Daniele smoked salmon 17.90. The antipasti selection is uninteresting, and the look is so-so.

What an extraordinary, great little restaurant with a mega brilliant concept. I have never been as excited as I am here. Best food, great service and the great atmosphere... simply brilliant. After dinner there was suddenly a party, tables were removed and people danced to Italian music.

I spontaneously went for lunch with a colleague for the first time because the Italian restaurant we usually go to around the corner was closed today. The two of us sat down at a free table when suddenly a woman (either an employed waiter or probably the owner) suddenly and unkindly snapped at us about why we were sitting at a table without being asked. When we asked which table we could sit at, we were coldly ignored. We stayed seated for about 10 minutes and then left this unfriendly restaurant after we weren't served. Other guests were served immediately, even though they arrived after us. I will never go to this restaurant again because that's not how you treat guests.

An absolute insider tip for all lovers of Italian cuisine! From the warm welcome to the last sip of wine, the visit to this restaurant was a completely successful experience. The service was exceptionally attentive and friendly - you immediately felt welcome and well looked after. The food was simply fantastic: from starter to dessert, every course was prepared with a lot of love and served with high-quality ingredients. The homemade pasta was particularly enjoyable, and the desserts were a great finale. The wine list also left nothing to be desired - perfectly coordinated wines that complemented the food wonderfully. The ambience was stylish, with lovely details that conveyed real Italian flair. Later in the evening, music created an exuberant atmosphere - people laughed, danced and celebrated. A place where you don't just eat, but enjoy and celebrate life. We will definitely be back – an absolute recommendation!

I celebrated my 60th birthday at L' Antipasto Nuovo with 26 people on a Thursday evening. From the rehearsal dinner to advice on menu and wine selection to the celebration, everything was perfect. It was a wonderful evening with a great atmosphere. At the end there was dancing. The service staff is top class and gave us excellent hospitality that evening and also danced along at the end. My guests are still raving about the evening.

We had dinner at L'Antipasto Nuovo last night. The food was good. What bothered me, however, was the very “sales-oriented” service. I was particularly annoyed that we chose a bottle of Pino Grigio from South Tyrol on the daily menu for around 39 EUR. Unfortunately this was no longer available - it can happen. The lady in service then recommended a Pinot Bianco, also from South Tyrol. Okay, I thought instead of gray - just a Pinot Blanc. When I paid I realized that this bottle cost an impressive EUR 69. I paid, but also asked the waitress about it…. This is just not right from my point of view - I felt like I was being ripped off as a guest.

Very good Italian food, good wine selection and extremely friendly team. There's also a party on the weekend from around 10.30 p.m. Here you always go home in a good mood!

Cannot recommend L'Antipasto Nuovo. We had booked a large table for 15 people there for our Christmas party and the restaurant gave the remaining tables to another company for their Christmas party. This other company had about twice as many people as there were seats and as a result these guests stood around the entire restaurant and drank and ate standing up. The whole thing was so narrow and squat that some of the people standing stood between our chairs and we had to actively ask them not to lean on our table... Like in a cheap corner bar. The restaurant did absolutely nothing about it. The waitress simply said that she could no longer serve us because she couldn't get to our table. Perfect! The whole situation was really bizarre and there was no apology whatsoever. It was actually so inappropriate that it couldn't have been excused. The restaurant should have simply prohibited other guests from being present in this crowd. By the way, the food was only mediocre. All in all, definitely a place that I have to actively advise others not to try.

Great ambience! Very lovingly and attractively furnished. Unfortunately, I was only there for a quick drink, but was able to see the preparations for a wine tasting. The wine tastings are certainly great, a lot of effort was put into the preparation. I can only comment on the service, the premises and the wine.

The service was good, fast and friendly. The space is more like a bistro so good for adults, couples or groups.

A hopefully honest and detailed review about my experience. In short: if you look for relaxed fine-dining: stay away. Else, read the review whether it’s for you. Food was good, atmosphere was awful, overcrowded and uncomfortable, and service was bad. (Note: I’m German, so the bad interaction with the staff was not due to lack of translation).. In detail: First, seating and atmosphere: awful. Please be aware that the restaurant has only bar stools. This means you cannot lean on anything and your back gets super tired. This would not be a problem for a bar or a place that is focused on fast food. However, for a place that brands itself to be a bit more fine dining, that’s not the case. They could make an argument that „it’s for the typical Munich ambient“. However, the narrow spacing between tables + a risk of getting seating that is literally before the bathroom door where everyone going in-and-out almost bump into you, makes it obvious that this restaurant tries to squeeze the maximum number of people in as they can rather than providing a pleasant experience. Additionally, this makes the room extremely loud. Luckily, I thankfully love shouting at my neighbor to hold a simple conversation.. /s Second, food, which was actually good. In terms of service, however it got awful again. Getting hold on a menus is apparently difficult. The lady responsible for us listed the food options. Unfortunately, I’m not too familiar with Italian lingo, so I had to ask what certain items mean; upon which “it’s meat” was the most comprehensive answer I could get because it was so loud and the waitress could not reach me (literally..) It took also 45 min for me to get a drink. They looked at me once and “oh yeah, you ordered a drink, right?” Also, when asked what drinks they have (as no menu exists), they replied with Italian-based drink terms without willing (because they were so busy) to explain what each item mean. As it’s so loud, they served me also an alcoholic beverage even though I asked for a non-alcoholic one… In the end, I recommend this place for people who have no problem to sit on an uncomfortable and (often) unpolstered stool, among loud acoustic, and (for me) unappealing atmosphere. If you want a relaxed fine dining experience: stay away from this place.

Very good food with a constantly changing menu and a very nice atmosphere.

The secret of the city is the restaurant! Wonderful dishes, refined with fingertip feeling. We ordered a special wine with it and really enjoyed the evening in an authentic atmosphere. After dinner, an ice cream at Ballabeni around the corner and the Italian evening was spectacular!

We had pasta with rabbit ragout and two glasses of Montepulciano. Both very fine. Special ambience. A little hidden in the back yard.

I've known L“Antipasto Nuovo for almost 20 years, now I've rediscovered it and it's still good! Previously very small on Mailingerstrasse and now completely hidden on Sandstrasse in the back yard. Hard to find and only known to insiders, so I thought I'd write a review so other people can see it too. If you are looking for an authentic Italian restaurant, you have come to the right place. At the weekend there is also a lot of partying here, so there is a good atmosphere here. I don't need to say anything about the food, just try it out?

"Italy in the northernmost city of Italy" as you couldn't imagine it better. Restaurant with ambience, with wine bar and a select and extensive selection of first-class Italian wines. Small menu that changes daily with unusual and consistently very good dishes of high and always fresh quality. Loving, always very attentive, committed and always friendly service with a lot of charm, and always with excellent quality advice. Always -mainly- Italian music in the background, on weekends from around 11 p.m. the interior (outside terrace closed from 11 p.m.) is transformed into an "Italo party bar" :-). Simply great.

The surprise was a success. The restaurant is located in a large inner courtyard surrounded by offices, businesses and apartments. There is no menu, but there are large tables. The service was very attentive and explained the dishes to us, which were written in Italian. There was also a hint that you can also get everything as a menu. We sat outside and enjoyed the warm evening. The starters we shared (ham, cheese and vegetables) were delicious and you could have stopped there. But reason was overshadowed by the dolce vita and so we continued with spaghetti with seafood and schnitzel with chanterelles. The taste was intense and due to the lively atmosphere all around you forgot for a moment that you were in Munich and felt like you were in Bella Italia.  Finally, a panacotta with currants and espresso (very good dessert and coffee were served at the same time) and we rolled out of the yard. If you're looking for an atmospheric restaurant with a small but fresh menu, you've come to the right place.

We spent a lovely evening in the garden of the Italian restaurant in the backyard. The service was great. The menu is updated daily, as a starter we had ham & parmesan, you should perhaps know that you pay around €30 for it. The appetizer of crispy squid with potato salad was very tasty, the ravioli filled with porcini mushrooms with sage butter, and the risotto with Taleggio cheese were not quite as popular with us. Overall, definitely worth a visit!

Location: it’s not easy to reach by public transportation, but it seems you could park at front of the restaurant. (4) Environment: it is a perfect location for parties. It is in the courtyard, it has inside and outside area, it’s personal and private. After 23, they turn inside to a bar. Play louder music, colorful lights, offer dancing area. (5) Food: the food is excellent! We had three courses meal (forgot to take photo of the first one) it is decent Italy food quality. (5) Service: the stuffs are okay, but perhaps it was too crowded, some of them were a bit stressful. (4) Price: 3 meals + dessert + wine, it’s a normal price for a good Italy restaurant. (4.5) Overall: 4.5 It’s a good place for date or party.

Service and ambience top notch! Later, when it got emptier, a disco ball came on, the music got louder and people started dancing, very funny :) Unfortunately the food is lacking. That was just so-so. We had lasagne, spaghetti with truffle sauce and a dish that I can't remember. There was a massive lack of spice everywhere. Everything is very bland. The whole table (9 people!) had to season with salt and pepper. At the end there was tiramisu. But not a classic one, but one with orange and I have no idea what. Four people in our group ordered the tiramisu. Everyone was dissatisfied. The composition may be fancy, but unfortunately it wasn't tasty :( Please offer classic tiramisu, everyone likes it and you know what you're getting.

The food was really very good! Service was rather mediocre. We sat right next to the toilet, which was ok. However, a couple came later who were associated with the owners and sat down directly in the (very narrow) aisle. As a result, we had 0 service and people constantly sitting on our plates who actually just wanted to go to the toilet. The kitchen really did a great job but unfortunately the experience was pretty much ruined. In the end, we were completely ignored or no longer accessible for dessert and coffee.

Very familiar service and atmosphere. The food was good. Prices are definitely high. There was also a Christmas party on our evening, so it was already very crowded. But that was good for the general mood.

Kann die guten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Das Essen war teilweise sehr sehr salzig und nicht sonderlich gut. Der Service war zwar äußerst freundlich, aber das Lokal ist voll gestopft mit vielen Gästen auf engstem Raum. Dazu sehr penetrant laute Musik, sodass man sich nicht unterhalten kann. Insgesamt sind auch die Preise eine totale Unverschämtheit für das was man bekommt.

Erst lecker essen, dann mutiert das Lokal zur Party location.

Wir haben hier einen sehr schönen Sommerabend mit Freunden verbracht. Alleine wären wir vermutlich nicht darauf gekommen, dass an diesem Ort - der von außen eher nach Bürokomplex aussieht - so ein toller Laden ist. Leckeres Essen, sehr zuvorkommender Service, gute Weine. Und am späteren Abend haben wir von der Terrasse nach innen gewechselt und die Party genossen. Gerne mal wieder.

Very Authentic Italian Resto. It is hidden from the street view though but it’s worth a find. I recommend the Spaghetti al Pesto di Basilico. Italy in the heart Munich. Definitely a must-try! Ciao!

Dafür dass das Essen sehr hochpreisig ist, hat es leider nicht der erwarteten Qualität entsprochen. Die Trüffelpasta war sehr sämig /bröselig und hat geschmacklich gar nicht überzeugt. Einzig die frischen Nudeln waren super. Als Nachspeise hatten wir ein Tiramisù, welches wohl sehr "eingedeutscht" wurde, da es hauptsächlich aus Sahne statt Mascarpone bestand. Wir mussten jedes Mal wieder den Kellner zu uns rufen. Nach uns hat leider niemand geschaut. Ab 22:30 wird die Musik etwas aufgedreht und Tische zur Seite gestellt, so dass man tanzen kann. Stimmung war top! Mein Fazit: Das nächste Mal nur spät Abends für Drinks kommen und lieber wo anders essen

I cannot really recommend this place. Made a reservation three weeks in advance and moved it a week before one hour later. As the waiter noted the wrong time I got a negative feedback from when I entered the bar. The only thing I got offered was a place to stand at the kitchen entrance at the showcase for the anti pasti with my fiancée. This is not acceptable. Never again. Ps: was also not very cosy as the place was extremely crowed and loud. I would rather recommend Guido al Duomo or Bei Mario (as a more budget friendly option).

I moved to Munich recently and given the proximity to Italy, I was searching for my "go to" Italian restaurant... I found it. Teh atmosphere is friendly and familial and the food is constantly changing (with a few favorites making regular appearances). The wine pairings are always great and I can say that the service will make you feel right at home (grazie Francesco e Daniela!)
