A very cozy and very individually designed country inn.

A truly wonderful place, so open and welcoming. We love coming here to chat, enjoy vegan and vegetarian food, have coffee and spelt cake, play games (a great selection for all ages), sit by the fire, and simply relax. Thank you so much for being here with so much charm and warmth, and for sharing it all with others! You are so uniquely wonderful :-)

You have to experience it, it's awesome

The chef has a rather rough charm, while the others are something you'd rather cuddle and take home. The food is terrific, albeit sometimes a bit "rough cut," with the star anise and cinnamon sticks mingling with the vegetables like bones in fish. It could be more elegant. The food is top-notch in terms of taste and value for money. If you have business in the area, want to go hiking, or just want to stop for a bite, this is 129.3% the right place. Bonus: Perfect schnapps, great cakes, naturally cloudy pilsner, and delicious Zwickel beer. The herbal tea is also remarkable. The rooms are spacious and reasonably priced, if a bit noisy. Breakfast was prepared by four different people on four days. From frugal to opulent, from freely configurable to "eat what's on the table"... A surprise package, but worth the money every time.

After a wonderful hike on a glorious October 3rd, we stopped off at the country inn "Zum grünen Baum" in Ringenwalde. A country inn that fulfills all the attributes of a country inn in the very best sense! Beautifully situated in the village center, in a rural setting, with wonderfully refined cuisine inspired by Grandma's recipe book (e.g., red cabbage salad with peanuts and cranberries = super delicious), in a traditional and attentively detailed, warm atmosphere with super-friendly people who, if you make a little effort 😉, will even have a long conversation with you despite the greatest stress. 😂 The inn was completely booked inside and out, and rightly so. The visit to the Räthel family was the crowning conclusion to a wonderful day of hiking. Thank you for that! 🥰🙏

We've eaten here several times and have always received friendly and courteous service. The food is delicious, and we were also informed about special offers. The restaurant is quaint and cozy.

We were at this inn for dinner with 14 people for a family reunion. Upon entering, we felt like we were in a friend's living room. The service was exceptionally pleasant, and I think we got along very well. 😄 The food was a feast for the palate! From the wild mushroom soup, which was a poem, to the various main courses, everyone was delighted. We had a wonderful evening and wish the inn team only continued satisfaction!

Everything fits perfectly here: a very beautiful location in the north of Lake Werbellin, just a quarter of an hour away. Soups, salads, and all the other dishes taste fresh, homemade, and prepared with great care. An absolute recommendation!

The inn was okay. The staff was friendly, but it was a bit quiet, so it took a while to get there. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and yes, we would go back, but the selection of inns here is very limited.

Beautiful, rustic restaurant with good food

Oh no, my review has been canceled twice now... :-( So now I'm just in the mood for a quick one. Here on a local recommendation. Cozy taproom, large outdoor area, at the main intersection. Still quiet. I was too early, 11:30, but still got a draft beer of Choriner Zwickel (delicious). The free starter was a very tasty red cabbage salad. Main course: Wiener Schnitzel with creamed chanterelle mushrooms and boiled potatoes. Also just right. Beer €5.50, schnitzel €25, reasonable. I didn't stay overnight, so no room review. Cashless only with Maestro (EC).

The chef still cooks here himself, without using convenience foods from the freezer. I've stopped here many times on a motorcycle tour and the food has always been delicious. The service is also friendly, fast, and courteous. Thank you very much, and see you soon.

Super delicious food!!!!! We've been visiting the country inn "Zum grünen Baum" for at least 15 years and have even hosted a family celebration there with an overnight stay. We've always been very satisfied.

We immediately felt welcome. The service was very friendly, and vegan options were also available. Food intolerances were taken into account and advice was given accordingly. The food was very good and delicious. We would visit this place again anytime and would recommend it to everyone—especially after a long hike.

Our dinner at "Zum grünen Baum" was very spontaneous, so we were happy that we even managed to get a free table. Since almost all the tables were occupied, we were informed right at the start that we'd have to be patient until the food was served. The wait was shortened by a delicious coleslaw with peanuts and cranberries (amazing), and then the delicious dinner arrived soon after. We all agreed that stopping here was a good decision.

We spent one night there with Landvergnügen. The pitch was in a quiet backyard. The food in the restaurant was very good. The menu is small, but there's something for everyone, including vegetarian options.

The food was excellent, but we deducted one star for the wait of over an hour. When we asked, we were told that was normal here. So we won't be coming here in the evening again, as it simply takes far too long. But maybe we'll come back during the day; the food was delicious and the service was friendly.

There were seven of us dining there. The friendliness of the staff was truly outstanding. Unfortunately, some of the dishes weren't quite as good as they should be. We ordered two rump steaks from Argentinian grass-fed beef (€32), which we specifically requested medium. Not only was the meat incredibly well-done, but there was also a centimeter-thick piece of gristle around the edge, which unfortunately had to be spat out after two minutes of chewing. We complained about this and were then given a freshly prepared new plate. Unfortunately, the entire fat border was still there, which further diminished the already limited dining experience (everything was already finished). We were disappointed that the meat was, as expected, on the rare side and looked more fried than grilled. The other dishes were perfectly cooked and delicious. Unfortunately, the restaurant is located on a busy road, which is currently particularly busy with agricultural traffic. Would have liked to have judged better.

A wonderful chance discovery along the way. Despite its lovely terrace, the restaurant is visually rather unassuming, yet it's a little gem with a true expert in the kitchen. The menu offers a creative and modern selection of seasonal dishes. We had the asparagus carpaccio and the vegetable pancake with hollandaise and lamb's lettuce. Both dishes were perfectly balanced in their composition, and the individual components complemented each other superbly. Everything was freshly prepared and skillfully executed. Even the hollandaise was pleasantly light, so that everything wasn't overpowered by the buttery flavor. Our highlight, however, was the pickled "green nuts" with goat's cheese – truly something very special and an absolute revelation. The homemade cake for dessert was massive in size and pleasantly subtly sweetened. Overall, a really good restaurant with extremely fair prices.

We had coffee and cake in the restaurant once. And the next evening we ate a regionally inspired meal (Schorfheide whey pork schnitzel). New in old would be my motto. Stylish old tables with new chairs and decorative knick-knacks transformed into a totally cozy location. In nice weather, it's also great to sit outside on a raised wooden structure. It feels inviting and alternative to everything, and all this in the heart of the Schorfheide region in Brandenburg.

I stayed there for the motorcycle service in Friedrichswalde. The room was perfect, and the breakfast (fried quail eggs on the weekend) was simply delicious. Oh yes, and you can also eat delicious food there, all in a friendly atmosphere. I was truly impressed. I definitely recommend it to bikers, with and without motorcycles!

We stopped by spontaneously during a weekend visit to the Uckermark and, despite the event being closed, were allowed to sit on the terrace inside and were served very attentively. The food was very good and the atmosphere inside and out is very inviting. We'll definitely come back.

One service person was particularly attentive, warm and gave us very good advice when choosing our food. A good and small menu. We really enjoyed the food (schnitzel with fried potatoes and Huguenot potato pan with rosemary vegetables and goat cheese). You should call / reserve in advance, it is very busy. We'd love to come back. There is some traffic right next door, so "only" 3 points for the location, but the inn is also very nicely designed inside.

We went there on a recommendation and after we really enjoyed the food, we reserved a table for the next day. The map is very clear, but that's exactly what it's about. Advantage, because the chef can actually prepare the dishes on offer very well. The family atmosphere seems and is very hospitable.

Very rustic restaurant, cozy and old furnished. Very fast and friendly service. Food is freshly prepared with regional products, special requests are no problem. Breakfast was very tasty and sufficient. We were there for country fun with our motorhome. Gladly again 🙂👍

We were just unlucky with the food. Fried potatoes salted to an inedible level, a small bowl of gnocchi for a whopping €16, plus a long wait for the food. A waiter seemed to only be there to pour one beer after another and smoke his hand-rolled drinks outside. Otherwise a very cozy restaurant, lovingly furnished.

We arrived at 7:00 p.m. in the evening, as agreed by telephone. It was said the key was deposited. Employees were there the next morning. When we arrived everything was dark. Not even a front door or house number light. No idea where to park. Entrance area unkempt, cigarettes and tobacco waste. No key. Nobody available by phone. After visiting the thermal spa, Werder was supposed to have a cozy birthday evening. Very very very annoying.

The food was delicious and ideal accommodation for the hike on the Märkisches Landweg. Extremely delicious cuisine, generous snacks because we had to leave early without breakfast. Super friendly service. When asked, the waitress gives very valuable tips and is helpful when she can. Always my pleasure!

The accommodation at Landgasthof Zum Grünen Baum was so disappointing that we canceled our weekend in the Uckermark and returned home after staying one uncomfortable night. The gasthof doesn't accept cancellations, so we paid for the 3 nights. Luckily, we were able to have one night refunded as someone else booked the room for that night - but we only received this partial refund because we stopped by on the way home, saw the room lights on and asked. I've learned a lesson. Never book a room that you can't see in a photo online first.

Unusual dishes in a cozy atmosphere.

Despite the limited selection (there was no steak anymore), the food was very tasty.

There was a strong smell of cold smoke in the room and throughout the house. Which isn't surprising since the employees smoke right in front of the open entrance. Otherwise the house has a lot of charm and everyone was very nice. Thank you for the great support.

Nice little country inn with a friendly atmosphere. The cakes are freshly baked and the pieces are huge ("The bikers will tear our heads off otherwise"). Highly recommended.

We immediately felt at home, a very warm welcome and service, the facility alone is something special. A beautiful spot 🌎 earth. We were allowed to sit on the sofa directly opposite the kitchen, which gave us a good overview of the dining room and the many little things around us. You couldn't really use the terrace outside because it was raining. We ordered schnitzel and haven't eaten so well for a long time. The menu had many delicious dishes that we have yet to try. We'll definitely be back. The country inn still has guest rooms with a total of 21 beds. We have to visit next time. See you soon and warm greetings Andrej and Sabine 😎

Great ambience, great service, great restaurant

Very nice inn with a great terrace, tidy rooms and family-friendly. What's particularly great: there are children's toys and high chairs in the cozy dining room. You can also order coffee specialties with oat milk for breakfast. The Sunday buffet is recommended. Unfortunately, breakfast doesn't start until after 9 and in the evening you can only sometimes order food. Tip: Call beforehand!

Great experience! - I'm only rating the restaurant here, since we didn't book a room or something similar, we just ate - The restaurant surprises with wonderful dishes. We had a Viennese style schnitzel and the beef roulades. Both 5/5 stars! Very large portions for a reasonable price. What wasn't expected was the small starter salad that came with every dish at no extra charge. This wasn't a run-of-the-mill salad like some other restaurants, but a very nicely dressed salad with nuts. Really delicious. The appetizer platter was also highly recommended. Delicious fresh bread with a selection of antipasti. There was also regional beer at a very good price (4€/0.5l) All in all a very nice and recommendable restaurant.

Beautiful little country inn on the edge of the Schorfheide, embedded in the beautiful terminal moraine landscape of northern Brandenburg. Time seems to have stood still in this place. So if you love gastronomy like in grandma's time, including a warm and family atmosphere as well as delicacies from the regional cuisine, including a walk through the tranquil town of Ringenswalde to Germany's most beautiful boulder, you are in the best hands here at the Gasthof "Zum Grünen Baum". We loved it and will happily come back.

This inn gives you the feeling that you are sitting at home in the living room, very cozy with a flair from grandma's times. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You just feel right at home.

Zufällig entdeckt auf der Heimfahrt nach NRW und als Geheimtipp notiert. Ein frisches, leckeres Essen (wir hatten Pfannkuchen mit Spargel und einer selbstgemachten Soße Hollandaise vom Feinsten, dazu einen Wildkräutersalat), sehr netten Bedienungen und dem leckersten Kaffee seit langem. Der hübsche Biergarten war sehr gut besucht, was wir durchaus verstehen. Unbedingt besuchen, wenn man in der Nähe ist👍🏻

Delicious food and cozy atmosphere

Very nice country inn with comfortable seating and rustic food. Our dog was also greeted very friendly.

Recommended so many times, then finally tried it out - and immediately loved it. This restaurant! The lovingly arranged old furnishings radiate a cosiness that is only topped by the family hospitality. Does it taste good? So I've had schnitzel with asparagus probably 8 times this season - this schnitzel wins - and the asparagus carpaccio, I've never had anything like that. But the crispy bread was so delicious that it almost outstripped the asparagus... Today I went there a second time for a salad with baked goat cheese - great wild flowers and herbs, also very tasty!

A rustic place that impresses with delicious food, acceptable prices and friendly staff. What should be highlighted is the interesting interior, which consists of a colorful and varied collection of old living and kitchen equipment. We felt comfortable and would love to come back.

It was okay, but don't invite me to come here again. The service was very nice, I also liked the old tables. I would rate the food itself as average.

€45 per person without drinks, for a mediocre Easter buffet in a completely overcrowded restaurant. Cozy is definitely somewhere else. Dogs were not allowed. Even if the food was okay, with no skimping on salt, the service wasn't good. The changing table is in the hallway, in the walkway from everything else. We were very annoyed about it and won't be coming back.

We stayed here in the middle of a walking holiday. It was a perfect place to rest and refuel. We had a delicious evening meal and Katherina was so kind to make us a picnic lunch for our next day's walk. Lovely hosts, great food and a peaceful setting. We hope to return one day.

Very nice restaurant, we've come here a lot over the last few years. Actually, we are not meat eaters, especially not pork. But with the schnitzel(!) there is an exception. Salads, potato salad always top taste category. Friendly service, courteous and answers all questions, including about additives for allergy sufferers. For other reviews on kindness: how to call into the forest... It's amazing how some guests act!
