The four of us spent a very nice evening at the Landgasthof Westrich. The staff is very attentive, friendly and exudes a family-like atmosphere. There was a suitable dish on the menu for everyone, vegetarian dishes as well as game and other meat dishes. The house-made spelled ravioli (starter) are excellent. In the main course I really enjoyed roast venison with red cabbage and dumplings (dish of the day). The red cabbage in particular was amazing. Finally, there is a large selection of exciting spirits and delicious desserts. We'd love to come back!

For a Viennese style schnitzel (pork) with fried potatoes and a side cucumber salad €20 plus pepper cream sauce €3.90! Nothing for the normal wallet, this system of paying extra for everything. Where is this supposed to lead? At least it was tasty, but you should also expect service to be good too.

My favorite restaurant around here! The food is excellent and so is the service. There is also a great children's menu and a cupboard with toys/books/art stuff for the little ones, a big plus for families 😁 Everything is very clean and the ambience is great. We were completely satisfied and will definitely come back 👍

We had the Hubertus menu, i.e. game. The starters (wild boar ham, game essence and wild goose breast pastrami) were really good. The “Royal from Wild Rabbit” tastes good, but the outside coating is hard and impossible to chew. Too bad! The main course (including sauerbraten of red deer) was unfortunately a bit dry. Maybe this lean meat just doesn't work well for this dish. The side dishes and sauces were fine, dense in flavor and generously seasoned. The dessert was ok, but a bit uninspired. The wines were cleverly selected, especially the dessert wine was delicious. The service was friendly and somewhat rustic. It would be nice if you said again when you put the plates in what you can look forward to. So we had to pull out the menu again and again (it worked, we can read, but different is nicer). Conclusion: light and shadow. Next time we would prefer to eat à la carte again. We were always happy with that.

Not easy to find, but worth it!

A very warm atmosphere. Nice staff, fast service and first class food. I can only recommend it to everyone, but even during the week only with a table reservation.

We were able to celebrate our wedding at the Landgasthof Westrich. We couldn't have imagined a better location. From the first conversation to picking up our gifts the next day, everything was perfect. The preparation, the support before, during and after the event, the service and the food were simply perfect. The owners and service staff go to great lengths to fulfill all wishes. On the day itself you can concentrate completely on yourself and have nothing to do with construction etc. Not only did we as the bride and groom like the location, our guests were also overwhelmed. We would like to thank the Landgasthof Westrich team and will always return to the place of our most beautiful day.

We ate at the Landgasthof Westrich for the first time on July 28th, 2023 on the recommendation of friends. We were impressed by the ambience with a clear view of the kitchen and the cozy atmosphere. The menu is not overloaded and is beautifully designed. The wine recommendations given with the meal are very welcome. The quality, taste and successful presentation of the dishes were top class. We had a wonderful evening and we will definitely come back. On September 12th, 2024 we were guests again at the Landgasthof Westrich. Everything was perfect. We had a wonderful lunch. Service, food and drinks were of a high standard. We will definitely come back. We were and are thrilled.

We have been guests several times and have always been very satisfied. The service is competent, friendly and courteous. The food is of high quality and the price-performance ratio is therefore reasonable. There is also a large selection of wines available.

The food is just incredibly good. Unfortunately, we had to wait quite a long time for the main course, even though the reservations were accepted with a delay and the restaurant wasn't completely full. It was well staffed compared to other restaurants. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Because of the unique selling point "home-cooked/baked and without wheat flour" I will definitely come back. Addition: we'll be repeat offenders... it's just a shame that the gnocchi are made with wheat flour... but your alternative of filled spelled tortellini is more than a good substitute! Your staff alone deserves 5 stars...lol.

We got married there civilly on August 31, 2024 and everything was perfect. Anette and her whole team did a wonderful job. From the wedding ceremony to the decorations to special wishes for drinks. If you want to celebrate a wedding and enjoy it, this is the perfect place for you. The food, the drinks, the decorations everything was prepared as agreed. A perfect day for the bride and groom is possible here thanks to this great team.

We got married here. In the best weather we were offered the best that was possible. From the service that fulfilled EVERY wish to the ambience which is simply fantastic. The operator fulfilled our every wish and always acted in our interests. Our guests are still raving about this great location today! Clear recommendation!

The welcome was very friendly. The greeting from the kitchen was some bread with cream cheese cream and a small potato soup. The food selected was good. We had to wait a long time for it even though it wasn't that crowded. Unfortunately, the fried potatoes were a bit boring (tasted like convenience food, too little salt, very little onions, no bacon). Unfortunately, the steak was already pretty cold. The schnitzel was very good. The other dishes ok. Drinks were forgotten twice. To be fair, we have to mention that we were there on an early Sunday evening, when the staff had certainly been under a lot of stress all day.

Great restaurant, sitting outside was just great. The food was very good, as was the whole process. Staff super nice, very hard working and absolutely uncomplicated... Definitely again!!

The Landgasthof Westrich is really special. Yesterday we had a wonderful evening on the terrace in the middle of beautiful nature. The food and wine were delicious, the service was incredibly friendly and courteous. We felt completely comfortable and would love to come back!

We had dinner with a group in the country inn. We were able to sit outside in beautiful surroundings. Drink orders were taken and delivered quickly. We were initially given the large card, after about 10 minutes they apologized because they had accidentally given us the wrong card. For groups there is a smaller one, which we got. Very annoying because some dishes that we had chosen were no longer available. There was no longer a drinks menu for the small menu, so we ordered the drinks "blind" and were inspired by what we saw on other tables. For the meal: there was a very tasty snack beforehand, the soup in a shot glass was something new. The main course was unfortunately disappointing. It was not possible to make changes (fried potatoes instead of fries, although these are included in other dishes, so the kitchen should have them). The portions were clearly too small, the schnitzels were much too thin, the roast venison was cut much too thinly and was served with the steak There is no sauce, just the piece of meat and a few fries on the plate...The price-performance ratio is definitely not right here. The taste is quite good and you get the feeling that they are trying to save money. The prices of the dishes are quite high. The dessert we chose afterwards, however, was very good both in terms of quantity and taste. In keeping with the great ambience of the inn, the kitchen should definitely think about the design and quantity of the dishes.

Das war unser dritter Besuch. Diesmal, um den Kuchen zu probieren. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Personal ist immer sehr nett und empathisch. Leider war die Grillagetrorte viel zu hart. Ein Baiserboden oder Stücke fehlten. Es schmeckte nur nach gefrorener Sahne. Schade.

30 of us stopped in for coffee and cake after our bike tour. We spent a great afternoon on the terrace in beautiful weather. The homemade cake was super delicious! Thank you again!

Warm hosts, good food, beautiful country inn! We always enjoy being guests there and it's nice that there are such bright spots in the rather culinary desert of Kleve.

A nice restaurant, attractive outdoor area, with lots of seating.

We ate outside in the beer garden in fantastic weather. All the ladies in service were very friendly, sometimes with a bit of mischief in their necks, and always very competent. The food, from the greeting from the kitchen to the main courses, was simply “just” delicious. A lot of passion is put into the work here. In all areas. We'll definitely come back because it's worth it!!!

Am Niederrhein genießt der Landgasthof Westrich einen guten Ruf, dafür ist es dann meist trotzdem zu leer. Hier ist man grundsätzlich bemüht qualitativ einen hohen Standard zu bieten, das Gefühl hat man dann auch, sowohl beim Essen, als auch bei der Abrechnung. Ich bin durchaus ein Freund von marktgerechten Preisen, allerdings fehlt dafür etwas die geschmackliche Überzeugungskraft. Woran es ebenso fehlt ist an Gemütlichkeit im Restaurant. Die Halle ist etwas zu geräumig, die Stühle etwas zu hart und die vielen unterschiedlichen Holzarten stören auch etwas. Getopt wird das ganze dann von dem Versuch durch maigrüne Akzente etwas leben in den Bauernhof zu bringen. All-in-All kann man hier aber durchaus essen, wenn das Lieblingsrestaurant geschlossen hat. 4 Personen, Donnerstagabend, 175€ inkl., joa.

We had a very tasty meal and a nice seat in the restaurant. Our senior dog was also there and was able to sleep undisturbed. The service was very nice. We'd love to come back.

We have just come from eating at the Landgasthaus Westrich.. amazingly good cuisine, great ambience, very attentive service, not too intrusive... successful and extremely culinary pampering evening. We will be able to experience a family celebration there with 15 people on December 15, 2018. We hope to spend an equally culinary and cozy evening there as today. We look forward to this visit and the excellent food.

Lovely restaurant inside as well as outdoors. Staff is welcoming and very friendly! Menu includes vegan, vegetarian, meat and fish. Deserts are to die for and everything is homemade. Terras provides lovely views over the beautiful surroundings and is very peaceful. Highly recommended for small and bigger groups.

Wir waren zu Zweit im Landgasthof und hatten uns auf ein leckeres Essen gefreut. Wir wurden beide sehr enttäuscht. Das Carpaccio war nicht so wie man ein Carpaccio kennt und schmeckte auch nicht. Der Salatteller bestand hauptsächlich aus grünen Blättern und schmeckte sehr fad. Das angekündigte Frenchdressing war eine dünne , helle Soße. Die Pilze zum Salat waren zu alt, sehr dunkel ,hatten ganz geöffnete Köpfe und schmeckten schwammig. Auf die Frage, ob es geschmeckt hat, haben wir mit der Antwort deutlich gezögert und eine Teilkritik geäußert. Es kam keine nennenswerte Reaktion, aber eine sehr freundliche Verabschiedung mit den Worten ‚ Bis zum nächsten Mal.“ Das wird leider nicht der Fall sein.

Food was very tasty… unfortunately the Wiener Schnitzel was wafer thin… garden chairs no cushions… sitting uncomfortable after a while… otherwise everything was okay

An experience. Thank you for this wonderful culinary evening. The coalfish was cooked to perfection. The service is heartfelt ❤️. Red lentil dal is a composition. Vegan cuisine is also fun. Gladly again.

Highly recommended, we were amazed at how poor the food selection was. There was almost nothing for vegans and due to an intolerance to ONE single vegetable, the salad, which cost around €13, was only served with finely chopped iceberg lettuce. No cucumber, corn, whatever, just iceberg leaves. The plates were stylish and beautiful, and the atmosphere outside was somehow cozy. Very rural and quiet. I feel conflicted about the fact that you can watch the COWS that "you" eat in the pasture next door. I love living animals, not inanimate ones. The service was very stressful, it took longer to get something, but the friendliness and warmth helped us get over the absurd salad. Conclusion: Nice for small townspeople and people from the country and omnivores, especially great for older people, but for everyone else: not keeping up with the times and a bit too disorganized.

Ordered the hamburger. Unfortunately the meat was still raw on the inside and very tough on the outside. Hard to chew. When I told the waitress, I was offered a coffee as a replacement. [Cheeky]! Neither an apology nor an understanding.!!! Dessert was then completely forgotten. Unfortunately it failed completely for us. We came on a recommendation. Unfortunately, it seems more than it actually is. There are much better and cheaper restaurants in the area that are definitely more customer friendly. Unfortunately screwed up!

Renovated farm that has been converted into a restaurant and is great for celebrating. Great breakfast buffet, simply top. Very nice atmosphere and super friendly, competent staff. You will be personally greeted by Anette, the owner, at the reception for breakfast. The food is also very good. A very warm atmosphere!

Yesterday's kitchen party was another great experience. The food, the drinks, the service, the music and the atmosphere, everything was perfect. We'll be there again next year. Thanks to the whole team

We were there for the breakfast buffet. They have pretty much everything you could want for a nice breakfast. The price is definitely justified. It was very busy, so some things ran out pretty quickly, but the kitchen/service tried to replenish everything. Would love to come back.

Very nice outdoor area and a great selection of cakes. We chose the following dishes: Wienerschnitzel with pepper cream sauce, fried potatoes and cucumber salad, the currywurst, handmade spelled noodles and the Wiener-style schnitzel with cranberries. All in all, it was very high quality, we especially liked the noodles. Considering the prices, larger schnitzels would be desirable. The schnitzel size is rather manageable. The selection of drinks is also impressive. In terms of service, everyone is very friendly, but sometimes a little less coordinated.
