Meeeega pizza, I've never eaten a better one. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 It's a shame we don't come from Geldern.

The inner part of the pepperoni pizza, by that I mean everything except the edge, was swimming in oil. You have to like it, I don't and it's one of the worst pizzas I've ever eaten. The service was under stress, to put it that way, because the store was full. The tables were so close together that a cozy atmosphere could not be created. The music was so loud that conversation was only possible with a clearly raised voice. Too bad.

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was anything but successful. It was difficult to even get a reservation in advance - no one could be reached by phone for days. Finally we tried via Instagram, which ultimately worked. When we arrived on a busy Saturday evening, our reserved table was not available. Instead, we stood in the entrance for quite a while - a very unpleasant situation, especially since the next guests with reservations were already waiting at the door after us. After a long back and forth, we were finally assigned a place, but it was extremely narrow and uncomfortable. In addition, it was incredibly loud in the entire restaurant, so there was no cozy atmosphere at all. Unfortunately, the service was anything but smooth. We had to wait a long time for the menus and the drink order also took a long time. Two of the four white wines on offer were unavailable, as were truffles and tiramisu - all very disappointing. Our starter, panini with herb butter, took over 30 minutes to arrive. We had to specifically ask for cutlery and small plates and finally got a plate and cutlery. The service staff tried hard, but were obviously overwhelmed. Unfortunately, the pizza didn't impress us in terms of taste - but that's of course a matter of taste. What bothered us, however, was that the wine was not refilled and the starter and main course were not cleared away at all. In the end we wanted to pay, but that was difficult too because we had to look for someone for a long time. When we paid we expressed our displeasure, whereupon we were told that next time we would just say something about how things didn't go well last time - then we would be given a discount. That's nice, but somehow it's not the point of the matter. A visit to a restaurant should be pleasant from the start and not only be “made up for” with a discount the second time. We probably won't come back, but we still wish the team all the best.

Salvatore has a beautiful shop! The service is top and the pizza is to die for! Everything is homemade, everything is made fresh and you just feel good! The pizzas taste just like in Italy! The service is attentive and courteous! Everything is done to make you feel comfortable! Simply great, you just love going there!

We had pre-booked a table for 7 people, but then there were only six of us and a table was quickly taken away, so we were supposed to sit at a spacious table for four. It was so tight that no one could move their chair - not even the people at the next table. Then, after repeated requests, we were moved, which at least offered a little more space in the restaurant, which seemed very crowded. Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed. The food order was taken after 45 minutes, the appetizer platter came with 3 after another 45 minutes of waiting! small plates and the words “That's enough for you, right?!” Since the missing starters didn't come automatically, we asked for them again - and also for more small plates - for each of us... Shortly after the starter, the pizzas we ordered arrived - at least 5 out of 6. They were very tasty, even if we had almost lost our desire for them. When a waitress came and asked if we wanted anything else, this was probably meant to be rhetorical, because despite saying "yes" she turned around and left again - without ordering another drink. Oh yes, by the way, it's a good thing that the beer drinkers were all “bottle-bottle fed” because there were no beer glasses. All in all: good food, but the service doesn't make it enjoyable. We probably won't come back.

The pizza was really great. But the service was more than a disaster. No drinks. It wasn't possible to order and at the end if you wanted to pay you had to take care of it yourself. There is an urgent need for improvement here.

Waiting times too long for a very good Neapolitan pizza

Plan on a long wait for the food, there are clearly not enough staff for the number of guests. Very loud acoustics in the interior because no sound-absorbing materials were used.

My husband and I visited Salvatore's for the first time today, purely by chance. Guys, I have to say: the man cooks with sooooo much passion that it takes your breath away!!! It's been a long time since I enjoyed Italian cuisine as much as I do today! Fresh, simple, clear and delicious 😋. You have to bring some composure and time: you will be rewarded with excellent service (TOP), tasty starters, the world's best pizza!!!

Father Umberto and mother Conzignia taught the little one well. Salvatore was already very active as a child when he helped with cooking or baking pizza. Salva has learned a lot in recent years as a self-employed person. The pizza 🍕 is the best from here to Naples. Definitely in Geldern and the surrounding area. Pasta and co, also authentic like in Bella Italia, more precisely like in Naples at home. Everything learning by doing is crazy. Salvatore, keep it up, stay healthy, you have much success or success, you know how to maintain your success, just keep doing it. Yes, we were successful, all the best to you, good health to the whole Esposito family, the most important thing is to stay healthy. It's great what you and your family have built up over the years in Geldern. Bravo! From South, North, East, West Esposito's family pizzas are the best.

The old location was very chic, but very familiar and close. The new one offers that and even more space and even more ambience and style! The food is probably the best pizza I have ever eaten outside of Italy.

I had dinner here this evening. I ordered an appetizer platter and bruschetta. I got quartered cocktail tomatoes on bread. The bread was not toasted and not marinated with olive oil and garlic...basil, olive oil and spices on the tomatoes was a wish... The appetizer platter was a disgrace... a burata, 2 slices each of mortadella, salami and ham, a tablespoon of so-called seafood and an anti-shock heart quartered, everything was lined with rocket salad that didn't see any oil or spices. Four halves of so-called bruschetta were also added. By antipasti I mean something different. Owner very unfriendly and when asked... said what you would expect, they were a pizzeria and so would be an appetizer platter. So-called kitchen sucks... even if you're moving, that's a bad excuse. Then you shouldn't fob off guests in an unfriendly way...

Today I was there for the first and last time. It was a complete catastrophe. Criticism could not be dealt with either. It would take too long to list all the defects, but the highlight was the view into the kitchen and the dishcloths. Never again!

We were on the motorway from Venlo towards Essen in the evening and were in the mood for Neapolitan pizza. The approximately 25 km journey to Geldern (be careful with lots of speed cameras along the route) was more than worth it. One of the best pizzas in the world and the espresso can't be topped in my opinion. We live far away, but we will take every opportunity to come back. Hopefully the very friendly waitress will be there again.

Small Italian restaurant with a super tasty pizza that has a thin base, juicy toppings and a thick and airy crust. Service is quick, attentive and friendly. Unfortunately we live too far away, but I would come here for pizza every time. Highly recommended.

Small but nice. The pizza is great, from a real stone oven. Service was a bit overwhelmed on the day I was there, but still very nice. You should definitely make a reservation here from 5 p.m. on the weekend, otherwise the few places will be gone in no time.

I have rarely experienced something like that in Germany. The pizza tastes fantastic and looks really impressive. You'll notice the difference when it's baked at 450°C. The atmosphere is very cozy and the service is just super sweet and friendly. If you want real, delicious and authentic pizza, you have to eat there. Nice people, good food, fair prices. It was a bit crowded and therefore a bit cramped, but it was a nice environment. However, reservations are recommended.

Coming from France and passing through Germany, we went to dinner this evening as a couple and what a treat!!! The pizzas are to die for!! The dough is succulent and the ingredients of choice! As for the services, fast and pleasant! We had a blast! Grazie mille!

A really good pizzeria, you can tell that the boss is Italian. You have to try the antipasti, the boss varies it from day to day. Very, very tasty and everything is fresh. It was a shame that there were no pasta dishes, but that will change soon when the pizzeria has moved. (Information from the waitress when we asked). The pizza is also great, you have to try it. The restaurant is small and cozy, a bit cramped, but the quality of the food is great. We'll be back.

Small pizzeria, menu clear, the pizza we had was very tasty and the service was very friendly. There isn't a lot of space there if you want to go there at peak times should make a reservation.

Best Neapolitan style pizza in Geldern. Fluffy edge and thin, soft pizza base. Lush covering of very good quality. The burrata is not to be missed. The service was very friendly and read all of our wishes from our lips. Prices are high, but you also get a lot for it.

Great hosts, always approachable, delicious pizza in tons of different varieties, great dough, delicious topping, even the vegetarian version with taste! Casual atmosphere, we got a reserved table because there was still an hour left and we thought that was very nice! There is pizza, salads and a few appetizers and desserts, no pasta. The rooms are rather small, but the best possible use is made of the cooking workplace. We'd love to come back!

The best pizza I've ever eaten, really, really tasty. I think it's brilliant that you were given a pair of scissors to share if you wanted to eat the pieces with your hand. The herb butter for the edge - perfect. Only the walls could use a few nice pictures, but that's irrelevant - if everything else fits. Thank you, we will definitely come back

For me this is a typical Italian pizzeria, they serve pizza and something with salad. Small terrace around you, almost only Italian voices. Tomato salad with buratta, incredibly tasty, the pizzas unusual to look at, excellent to eat. I have never eaten such delicious dough. Very friendly service, here the boss bakes himself. I hope we come to the area again.

The best pizza in the area, the dough is excellent, light and the variety of ingredients is simply something exceptional. For an Italian living in Germany who misses real pizza, this is undoubtedly the place he absolutely must visit. Amazing to find such good pizza! As an Italian I can say that Salvatore, with his pizzas, is truly at the top. His pizzeria, La Piccola Napoli, has nothing to envy of the best Italian pizzerias. The environment is very welcoming and with attention to the smallest details. Salvatore uses only top quality products in his pizzeria. It's worth traveling several kilometers to eat one of its pizzas. The incredible thing is that he does everything himself, and every pizza is the result of commitment and passion, and the result is spectacular. Thanks Salvatore, we felt at home. Your pizza leaves its mark on both the heart and the palate.

Based on a recommendation, we went to La Piccola Napoli together as a family today and were absolutely thrilled! We received a very warm welcome and felt very comfortable. The music played there and the furnishings gave us the feeling of a nice vacation in Italy. By far the best pizza we've ever had, we'll definitely come back more often! 😊👍

We had reserved a table for 7 p.m. On arrival we were informed that we might have to change tables in the meantime. We ordered drinks, an appetizer and two pizzas. After 45 minutes we were asked to pay as the next guests were coming. This leaves us with the feeling that we have simply been dismissed. No words or a simple “sorry” from the boss when paying or leaving.

Ordered two pizzas to pick up. Even at home, these were still super tasty. Very good quality, gladly again!

I really enjoy eating pizza at Salvatore's. There are many different dishes and they are all extremely tasty! You should definitely bring your time, but with a good glass of vino and the ambience you can make the waiting time more pleasant. The owner is super open and friendly, the service is great. You should definitely make a reservation and definitely try the dessert “Pistachio misciato” - mega!! Again and again!!

Unfortunately I can't rate the food because I didn't enjoy it. The pizzaria was recommended to us by friends and we wanted to eat pizza yesterday on our wedding anniversary. We didn't care whether we could eat there or just take away. We had already heard that it was better to make a reservation. We didn't do it because we didn't want to be tied to times. The first impression was very cramped, but with a nice ambience in the back. We were there just after 5 p.m. There was no guest in sight. We asked the owner for a table. He offered us a very small table in the narrow entrance area with no ambience. It was basically the cat table and no matter how good the food was, we didn't want to sit there on our wedding day. Unfortunately we weren't offered another table. Everything was probably already reserved. I don't know that. I don't want to complain about it either. We knew that we might not get a table. What made us angry and why I ultimately rate it is that the owner didn't give us a card. We declined the table but still politely asked for a pickup card so we could take the pizzas with us. We were then told that such a card does not currently exist. How? There is no map where you can take a quick look at what you would like to take with you? That seemed very strange to us. But we didn't want to discuss it either and so we left. It somehow seemed like they didn't want us there. If we don't take the table, then there won't be any pizza to take away. Very unfortunate. :-( I give the two stars because the woman who told us that was still friendly, but otherwise I can't recommend, at least the service. As I said, I can't rate the food. Unfortunately we didn't get that far...

I have rarely eaten so well, if ever. We had to wait a bit, but that wasn't a problem for us, we expected it as it was very busy. The food was incomparable and all my companions felt the same way. The staff was very friendly, responded to all of our special requests and also had good recommendations for us. I know that I will eat there a lot more often and I can only encourage everyone to try it once. Bon appetit!

Very very tasty pizzas. You should reserve a table if you want to eat on site. But you have to be prepared for a very loud and unfortunately uncomfortable atmosphere, as a lot of pizzas are picked up there and the pizzeria doesn't have many tables. Still the best pizza in the area so far.

Haven't eaten such good pizza and bruschetta in forever. Applause to the chef! However, it's a shame that theoretically I only had 40 minutes for dinner because everything was reserved, but then I kept hearing that there was one last table. After 30 minutes, without ordering the bill, I was asked whether I wanted to pay in cash or by card and had to get up. It's a shame, I come from the catering industry myself and would never give a client the feeling of stress, but would also let them relax for the last 10 minutes after dinner or even offer not to stress, since a table is still free anyway and it is therefore not a problem. 10 more minutes to enjoy a dessert or an espresso. The taste experience would have been perfect.

Were there on Saturday at 5 p.m. there was no pasta and apparently there was no delivery. You can get pasta in every discount store once and never again, sadly for a pizzeria
