The pizza is quite good, but the salad is really cheeky. For €17, a portion that resembles a side salad and is practically tasteless. Definitely stick to pasta and pizza if you come here.

Delicious Italian food. The gluten-free pizzas are fresh and crispy, making for a great experience overall. Warm blankets are available outside if needed. The interior is spacious yet very pleasant.

The ambiance is the only thing that's even remotely good. The service doesn't seem to enjoy their job! Unmotivated and unfriendly. After paying, all the glasses were immediately taken away, even though half were still in them, and I saw it at the table with my children. The bottom of the pizza was burnt. We almost had to pay twice because the employees didn't coordinate with each other. Too bad, the first two times were okay. I don't need to talk about the bathroom; it looks terrible.

I was very disappointed with this restaurant, even though my expectations weren't very high, but they didn't even meet those expectations – what a pity! I was quickly handed the menu and my order was taken, which is a positive. The delivery time for the drink was okay, but it could have been quicker – 10 minutes. However, the bottled beer was placed open on the table without a word, and the waiter immediately disappeared. I also mentioned that I'd like a glass for my beer. Bottled beer doesn't mean every guest wants to drink it from a bottle, especially not in a restaurant; it just tastes better from a glass! With good service, they could have at least asked if I wanted a glass or not! I've never experienced anything like that! The glass didn't arrive, and I had to ask for one a second time, which also took forever. In the end, it took a whopping 20 minutes before they finally brought me a glass. Unfortunately, the beer didn't taste as fresh and cold as it should have! Thanks for the poor service! The meal, a shrimp salad, took 45 minutes to serve. If it had taken any longer, I would have left without a word; that's way too long for a salad! The salad itself tasted perfectly fine, although the portion was a bit small, and the bread served with it was unfortunately cheap, sticky wheat bread; I would have preferred better quality, like dark seeded bread. Unfortunately, the five grilled shrimp were ice cold! That's a no-go! The chef shouldn't have even bothered. The food had probably been ready for ages, it just wasn't served! And if the waiter then has to chat at another table for five minutes with my food in their hand before the food is served, it's cold anyway! You should be glad you didn't order a hot meal; it was JUST a cold salad with a warm side dish. Thanks for the poor service! When service is good, I'm usually very generous and reward it with a large tip, sometimes even 15%, but today I unfortunately had NO tip for you! Sorry.

The restaurant itself, with its outdoor area, is very nice. However, the food disappointed me several times. The pizza isn't comparable to that of a real Italian restaurant, and the truffle pasta could perhaps have been served in the same room as fresh truffles, but the pasta didn't have much of a truffle flavor. What really annoyed me was the fact that we were denied the remaining balance of almost €50 on our voucher. They said that no remaining balance could be transferred, which I would accept for a few euros, but not for that amount. Not everything was bad; the goat cheese salad was delicious.

La Piazza in DA has become our number one spot. The lounge area is super nice and comfortable, the food and drinks are always top-notch, there's no wait time, and the service is excellent! Rana and Marica are our favorite waiters, and the entire team is super friendly and accommodating. A visit here is highly recommended.

The food is great, only the best for the kitchen. The ambiance is cozy and nice, the music a bit too loud. The service is sometimes the weak point here, however. Generally speaking, it's always absolutely satisfactory. Tonight there was a new, younger woman in charge, and unfortunately she made us wait far too long. There were friends of hers at another table, or at least that's how it seemed because she just stood there chatting and laughing for ages. This meant we had to wait a really long time before we could even order, but the food and drinks came quickly; compliments to the kitchen and bar. But then we had to wait a long time again to pay. We will be happy to come again; we really like the food and drink. I just hope the service will be more conscientious next time.

Embarrassing and not professionals! An bellow-average food and a terrible service. Me and friends ordered 3 pizzas for sharing and they don't cut the slices for you! When asked about that, the waiter simply taught us, grown-up people, how cut their own pizza as we were kids. Lack of professionalism from the kitchen until the waiter. Do not waste your time

The atmosphere is pleasant, and the restaurant makes a good impression. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. When it got chilly in the evening, I asked for a blanket – I called the waiter three times, but he didn't respond at all. The order-taking also left a lot to be desired: We had to wait about 15 minutes before someone sat down to sit with us. Customer service and service don't seem to play a role here. Absolutely unprofessional for a restaurant of this standard.

Hello everyone, My girlfriend and I have eaten here several times now. The atmosphere is fantastic! Everything looks clean and tidy, and there's plenty of space! Also worth mentioning is the comfortable seating, which means you don't have to snuggle up to your table neighbor. The service is even better! Very friendly and fast! The pizza is among the best in Darmstadt! We just didn't like the homemade lasagna so much. But that's a matter of taste! Otherwise, highly recommended!

The pizza was good. However, with the gnocchi and pesto, I had the feeling the pesto was from a jar and not homemade. It tasted good, but just like the jar from Barilla. So for the price, I would have preferred homemade, original pesto.

The lasagne I ordered was brought after 3 minutes (freshly made in such a short time or warmed up?) and to make matters worse, it was still cold at the bottom... I don't think that's okay at all for the price, unfortunately it felt like a quick dispatch with ready-made food.

The food itself was ok, but it didn't taste homemade. We had to wait 45 minutes for our starter. Then another 30 minutes for these noodles in the picture. You don't have to understand it. I am very disappointed and not satisfied

Daniel provided excellent, friendly service, matching the quality of the pizza and wine accompaniment. The tiramisu is also worth highlighting and highly recommended. I look forward to my next visit!

Obwohl wir dieses Mal nichts essen wollten, sondern etwas Zeit totschlagen wollten: wir wurden in der Nähe der Bar platziert, in dem auch einige Plätze eher Lounge-artig angeordnet waren und eben sich auch dafür eigeneten einen Kaffee zu sich zu nehmen. Dennoch wurden wir sehr freundlich bedient und deren Kaffee ist einfach gut. Gerne das nächste Mal eine Pinsa - nachdem beim letzten Mal der Teig ja ausgegangen war.

When the weather was sunny, I took a seat outside at La Piazza – Pizza Pasta Café. The ambience is ok, nothing extraordinary but pleasant. The staff was particularly positive: attentive, friendly and always trying hard. The menu offers a good selection of Italian and Mediterranean dishes. Particularly commendable: Vegetarian and vegan options are shown separately. A detail that is not self-evident and shows that consideration is being given here. In terms of price, everything is in the solid midfield. I decided on the vegetable lasagne – it tasted good and was solid. My companion had the spaghetti carbonara according to the original recipe with egg and guanciale, and that was also a success. A lot of things are definitely being done right here. La Piazza offers good Italian cuisine without much experimentation. My only wish: a little more sophistication with the vegetarian and vegan alternatives. Instead of the usual suspects, it would be nice to see more creative plant-based dishes. But overall a pleasant restaurant with friendly service and solid quality.

We had Sunday brunch which lasts until 2 p.m. We were at the restaurant at 11am. Buffet almost empty. Nothing was refilled. Not even after asking several times. Food was okay, but definitely nothing special. The waitress was very cheeky and made pointed comments, First and last visit. Definitely not recommended!

Had brunch there. There is a great, quiet atmosphere. The selection at the breakfast buffet was ok. Warm (lunch) meals were added from 11:30 a.m. It was super tasty and I think there is something for everyone 😊 The staff is really great and lovely! I think it's really good value for money.

There are gluten-free options, which surprised me positively The pinsa was simply excellent, but the pastry was not that special, I wouldn't recommend the pastry menu. Desserts were also good and generous portions. The waiter who served me (a very strong/fit man) was super friendly and supportive throughout the evening. I really liked his service, which is very rare in Germany itself. Overall, I highly recommend the place. Note: The water in the bathroom only comes out cold, which doesn't make for a good experience in winter.

A failure from start to finish. The fries were completely oversalted, the pizza dough was unbalanced in seasoning and the topping was slightly oily. The so-called garlic oil was watery and tasteless. Blunt knives from a tin can? Just cheap. The store smelled unpleasantly of sewage. Pay extra to wrap the huge pizza just to get aluminum foil? Cheeky. The whole thing ended with a stomach ache – never again!

Super great restaurant, simply great ambience, cozy, you immediately feel at home. The service staff are all super nice and try to find a solution even if you don't have a reservation. The food comes quickly and is beautifully served, there are even gluten-free dishes on the menu that are super tasty 😊 there is nothing to complain about here. Visited Darmstadt today at 6 p.m. Since there was no one at the entrance, we looked for a place and waited a while for the service. We were then immediately expelled from the place because there were two of us and not four, even though it felt like 90% of the store was empty. I didn't think it was necessary, but it was still OK. The food, on the other hand, was very disappointing and overpriced. 21 euros for salmon with rosemary potatoes and vegetables. Salmon extremely dry, slightly oversalted - you had to chew a piece several times to eat it. Rosemary potatoes were maybe 2 small potatoes. Tasted very floury and not particularly good on the outside. Vegetables.... 1 half an elongated pepper.... 21 euros. Neither the quantity nor the quality was right and 100% didn't fit the ambience. Not so much annoyance but a huge disappointment with the kitchen. With good will my feedback: step up ur game. Some of the staff spent more time fooling around than doing their job. My first negative review for a restaurant. I hadn't eaten anything that day and yet I didn't particularly feel like finishing my plate. Really a shame. Visually it's a nice shop and the lady who served us was very friendly and attentive

What do you think of this cocktail? There's nothing wrong with the taste, but is it really normal for it to look like that? The basil was completely wilted and didn't look fresh. When you order something, you expect not only good taste, but also an attractive presentation.

Service was good, ambience is great. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. We ordered pasta, twice with truffle, once Bolognese and once chicken & mushrooms. All portions were rather small. Truffle was sparse and not entirely convincing in taste. And in the chicken & mushroom noodles there was exactly one piece of mushroom, nothing more.

I've been there twice now and unfortunately I just don't think the food there is good.

My wife and I occasionally go to "La Piazza" for lunch on Fridays (11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.). The food is absolutely fine and very tasty. So far we have only received a pizza once, which left something to be desired. The service is quick, very friendly and the food is served in a reasonable time frame. The picture shows a pizza burrata from December 20th, 2024, which tasted very good. The side salad, which we ordered separately, was also really exceptionally good. In our opinion, the prices are just within the range. For a “normal” lunch (pizza or pasta), a soft drink and a cappuccino afterwards you have to expect around €25-30.

They deserve 0 stars. I asked for gluten-free pasta because I am celiac and after eating it, they tell me they made a mistake and it is not gluten-free. Avoid it if you have any intolerance or allergies.

Mir gefällt die Atmosphäre, die Bedinung ist sehr freundlich. Die Pasta Gerichte waren immer sehr lecker und sehr üppig. Heute war ich mit meinen Freunden da, da war die Pasta nur noch halb so groß wie bisher, und wurde entsprechend auf viel kleineren Tellern serviert. Auch so kann man die Preise (verdeckt) verdoppeln! Sehr schade!
