La Piazza in Köln

I ate with my family at La Piazza restaurant. The food was very, very tasty!!!!!!! and the staff was also very nice!!!

We have traveled quite a bit in Germany and these are by far the best Italian pizzas we have had. Pizza Puttanesca in particular was a wild experience. The service was perfect and a good atmosphere was really ensured around our little tired boy. My daughter wants to highlight that the music was absolutely fantastic - from Disco to Bruno Mars and Modern Talking. All good..

Shameful, one of the worst in cologne. Glass of tap water for 4 euros 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I'm not even talking about beer

They have very delicious and large pizzas. The employees are very friendly. It is difficult to find a seat later in the evening.

We visited this restaurant during our short stay in Cologne – and it was simply fantastic! The food was very, very tasty and the service was top: attentive, friendly and fast. Absolutely recommended! We'd love to come back.

The food is good. The environment is simple but a little small inside. When it's crowded, waiting in line becomes a bit unnecessary. The card is not valid if you spend below a certain limit. Spend accordingly. While most European countries have started using cards, it is a rare place where I have to travel and spend with cash.

Very tasty pizza and plenty of toppings without being stingy. Super nice and nice service, we were asked several times if we needed anything else. In addition, the price was extremely fair, the pizza was really perfectly baked, a great mix of not too dry and not too moist. The topping was also very tasty, I got extra ruccola at no extra charge. Mega! I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

Lets start from the beginning. Really busy but not to much. Warm welcome from the boss and staff. Great food but i mean really great Italian food ! You can see it is fresh and they prepare it with passion. When we are in this area we will come back ! I didnt make any pictures but just go and enjoy.

The pizza was very tasty and was served quickly after we ordered. However, the only waiter at the restaurant seemed to be drunk (my daughter saw him drinking Limoncelo behind the counter) and this made the service very slow. When we arrived, he was serving a family with a baby and he spent a long time playing with the baby while we waited for the initial service. After we ate, we waited for the bill again. I had to get up twice and beg for the bill. Another negative point is that the restaurant was very hot (I think because of the heat from the oven) and this was very unpleasant because we started to sweat.

Even though we had not made a reservation, there were limited options available. The food was delicious and everything was prepared with Italian products. We ate goat cheese with spinach, pizza calzone and pizza pruciotto. An alcohol-free beer. Tasted good, and a latte maciato or however you may write it. Staff is very friendly. Operation runs smoothly and works efficiently. Chef has tight control and keeps a good eye on things. Service is very friendly with the children. Highly recommended. I recommend it to everyone.

We didn't get to the restaurant until after 10 p.m. It wasn't a problem at all to get something to eat. The super friendly and courteous service ended up bringing us 3 huge pizzas. The pizzas were simply awesome. The only thing that topped it was the excellent service. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Cologne. In the meantime we were here for the 2nd time. Super friendly welcome and the food was again very tasty.

Huge pizza, and high quality! Very fine, digestible paste, quality tomato (Mutti). Very friendly service. The downside: the decibels, it speaks loudly, very loudly in the room, because in front of the bar/kitchen therefore high volume.. And what's more, we happened upon an evening where a singer was playing on the synth. So that's the price to pay to enjoy a real pizza, we don't regret our experience at all. Well done

The baked penne is unexpectedly delicious, but the famous Spaghetti Aglio e Olio is really not up to standard. The boss claims to be from Sicily. I wonder if the Sicilian taste is salty and slightly spicy, and there is no garlic or oily aroma! He is a warm, funny and talkative person. For two pastas and two glasses of white wine, 46 euros is a bit expensive.

Disappointing service: an insistent and noisy waiter who constantly shouts, which makes the experience unpleasant. When paying, we heard several tables complaining about a difference between the prices shown and those charged. We noticed the same thing on our side. This is really unfortunate, because this restaurant could be warm and pleasant with better management.

Our family liked it very much. We ate Italian and margarita pizza, the service was very fast, the employees were very attentive and friendly. Medium sized, warm and friendly atmosphere. We would prefer it again.

We were on a “home vacation” in Cologne again and after generous portions of sauerbraten, knuckles and roulades, we felt like something more frugal again - and decided on La Piazza. A good choice! The meatless pizzas tasted wonderful - the thin dough was crispy and the toppings were original. Special requests were fulfilled upon request, and the service colleague took the somewhat complicated order with humor. We'll stop by again on our next visit.

The pizza was huge which was the most positive point. The prices for each pizza were really high and then 3€ for each extra „normal“ ingredient not mentioning the price for extra special ingredient. Some good vegetarian options but I was not convinced by the price-performance ratio.

Wanted to eat there with the voucher book. A waiter saw us and shook his head because we changed tables and then the voucher book was only accepted for a cheaper dish. We were served and left

I came to Cologne for a weekend away, after a day of work and a long drive, I arrived hangry. So responded gruffly. But his delicious food made up for everything. Went back again on Saturday to take pizza with us for the hotel room. Of course it was perfect too. Service was certainly good. Highly recommended to have a nice meal there!

The service staff was not only friendly, but also extremely professional and attentive without being intrusive. What was particularly impressive was the quick and precise service - the drinks and food were served in perfect timing, and each dish was presented with an attention to detail. You could immediately tell that the team attaches great importance to quality and hospitality. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and relaxed, which made the whole experience even better. The employees had an excellent sense of finding the right moment for personal conversations or unobtrusiveness. In summary: It was a culinary evening in which the focus was not only on the food, but also on the excellent service. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for perfect hospitality and an all-round successful experience.

A pizzeria that can be recommended without reservation. Starting with the ambience, both inside and outside. The menu is full of delicious things that offer something for every taste. The employee is super nice and accommodating. The pizzas are great in both appearance and taste. Definitely very happy to come back!

The people were nice but even though we placed our order in front of a large group and we still thought they were doing it wisely, we got our food afterwards. In the restaurant there is a strange strong ventilation that blows really hard from the ceiling and you are constantly sitting in a draft. The atmosphere isn't really cozy, more like a "side shop". The food was tasty but overpriced for the overall performance (pasta €20). It wasn't bad but just not good or special, even though I even had some from the weekly menu. I find card payments only over 50€ really strange... I wouldn't go there again.

Waiter very unfriendly, pizza was at best okay. I can't recommend the place.

Unfortunately it wasn't good. Portion of pasta was extremely small, for 15 euros without meat or fish I felt ripped off. Plus a super small portion of bread for 2 people, and the bread was soggy. Doesn't work at all. Also first question “will you pay with cash or card?” if you sit down, no go. This is where people spar and fool the guests.

The food was great, but the service was AMAZING. We were traveling from and one of our kids was exhausted and also had low blood sugar that led to an emotional breakdown on their patio. We went to leave and the staff told us it wasn’t necessary and that kids were allowed to have emotions even at inconvenient times. The staff was amazing, they brought out a small treat and a smoothie. They let us take our food to a bench down the walk way so the child wasn’t embarrassed and they were so understanding! We really appreciated the kindness they showed us when we were in a stressful situation in an unfamiliar environment.

Service and ambience were good, food was actually good too, but we had two pasta dishes and both were swimming in oil. It's probably not Italian either because they make carbonara with cream and ham. But it's still not bad, you can give them a chance.

On a beautiful Tuesday in October I had a delicious dinner. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the evening. I was on a business trip in Cologne and ate very tasty bruchetta and then a nice, big, good pizza. Unfortunately it was a bit thin otherwise it would have been 5 stars. The dough was very tasty, just a little thin, which is of course a matter of taste. Of course the topping shouldn't be too thick, but it could be a little more corn, peppers and olives. I would also like to highlight the waiter, a young woman with a beard, who was very polite, quick and courteous. Unfortunately, this is very rare today. Stay the way you are .

Were here today with the whole team on Alexis' recommendation and what can I say... it was fantastic! Service A1 with stars (and humor)! We were welcomed by the host very friendly and with typical Italian hospitality. Our order was taken promptly and with a lot of humor by the friendly waiter. The quickly delivered food was beyond any doubt. A textbook Italian pizza. Super thin, crispy and with an optimal ratio of dough, sauce and toppings. After the meal there were two digestifs on the house and a nice chat at the table. A really great experience at La Piazza. The only minor criticism was that Italian music only played towards the end of the evening. Previously there was a style of music playing that didn't really fit the ambience. But of course that's a matter of taste and doesn't spoil the overall picture at all. Grazie for the lovely evening and the delicious pizza 🫶🏻

We spontaneously went to La Pizza. There was no more space inside but we were offered something outside. The waitresses were incredibly friendly and accommodating. When it got a little cold outside after a while, I put my hands in my jacket pocket for a minute. A waiter immediately came and said we could come in now that something was free. In general, the service was super attentive and accommodating and very friendly. I can also recommend that everyone just take a look at the daily/weekly menu. We were very satisfied. Gladly again :)

Super nice staff, great ambience, very large selection of pizza and pasta and also very fair prices for the food. We were there for dinner on Friday with 4 people. Food was great (rigatoni al forno, spagetti aglio oilio with scampi and 2 × rigatoni with chicken, spinach and gorgonzola and mixed salad). Everything was super tasty, I can only recommend it. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The rest of the team was super nice and friendly.
