I ordered a pizza and a dessert for delivery. The pizza tasted okay, but that was about it. It was also significantly smaller than advertised, not even the advertised 26 cm. The extras I ordered and paid for were simply missing. The dessert (Tartufo) was completely unnecessary. It tasted like something straight out of a supermarket freezer. I won't be ordering it again. On the plus side, the delivery driver was very friendly.

They charged me an extra 2 euros for the table without informing me when I paid the bill—a thief's act.

I had the pleasure of participating in the pizza-making course today. The organization and the content were excellent. Giovanni and his wife are also very friendly and clearly live their passion for good food and ingredients.

I've eaten pizza at La Pergola several times and was always very satisfied. This time, I was unfortunately very disappointed. Not in terms of the taste, though; the pizza was delicious as always! But I ordered a Parma Arugula pizza, and it only had arugula on it, no Parma ham, no Parmesan cheese... Plus, I ordered the 26cm pizza and received a barely 22cm one. Just under €15 for a mini pizza without the toppings I ordered was very disappointing, a shame 😔

It's impressive that even when delivered, the pizza tastes truly like a stone-baked pizza. We've ordered several times and have always been very satisfied. The friendliness, delivery, and the pizza itself were simply excellent. However, I have to deduct a star because the seafood pizza wasn't as well-topped the last two times as it was the other times. Consistent quality, and we'll gladly remain loyal... Update after three years: I have no idea what happened, or perhaps they changed pizza makers, but with our last orders, I noticed that the pizzas have become smaller, and especially at Frutti de Mare, they're skimping on the toppings 😪 Hopefully, things will get better again...

I was unfortunately very disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. I ordered spaghetti frutti di mare, which tasted extremely disappointing. The pasta seemed carelessly prepared, almost unseasoned, and the seafood—especially the shrimp—had no flavor of its own. Overall, the dish was unfortunately completely bland. In addition, our appetizer was simply forgotten, which is very frustrating when visiting a restaurant. The pizza casa I ordered afterward was also unfortunately disappointing: The toppings didn't seem very fresh, and the overall flavor of the pizza was rather mediocre. Overall, the visit didn't meet my expectations in any way. Neither the quality nor the service warrant a return visit.

By far the best pizza in Garching!

We had a wonderful evening on one of the first days of summer. The small garden is close to the road, but it's well-fenced. The service was polite and the food delicious. It created a bit of a holiday feeling. Thank you. Some background music and a personal touch would have been perfect – asking the chef if everything was okay, which is what I'm used to in Italian family restaurants, just a little suggestion. Reservations are essential; we weren't able to get a table once.

I drove there especially, 45 km. Summer vacation, no information on Google or the website. Unfortunately, I found the door locked.

The pizza was excellent. The service was also courteous. The ambiance (I sat outside) wasn't anything special, but certainly pleasant. I'd be happy to come back.

The service was very friendly. But the price-performance ratio is terrible. €10.50 for a glass of wine (an average Primitivo) is a lot. The food was unseasoned, lukewarm, and the pasta was slightly overcooked. At around €17 to €19 per portion, it's simply not worth it.

Unfortunately, this was the worst spaghetti with seafood I've ever eaten. It was inedible. I can only assume that the thawing water from the seafood in the sauce created a disgusting taste. It cost 16 euros and was unfortunately thrown away. Please don't offer it if you can't cook it.

The pizza tastes okay—but it's better to pick it up yourself rather than enjoy it in the restaurant! The service is terrible; all the employees were extremely unfriendly. Not only did we have to wait over an hour for our food despite repeatedly asking, but we weren't allowed to move to a larger table at first because there were only two of us, even though we were sitting in the rain. For the official prices, I'd rather go to the Indian restaurant or the beer garden next door next time!

What do you need for a great Neapolitan pizza? Flour, yeast, water, salt, and...amore. Giovanni and Martha have a lot of knowledge, including a wealth of interesting information about different types of flour, the right temperature for the dough, yeast, semolina, and, above all, a lot of heart and passion for their pizza apprentices. Take the course and see for yourself. The five hours were so entertaining and delicious that they flew by. We'll be back—but this time just to enjoy.

The pizzas are large, thin, and topped with incredibly delicious toppings. Delivery is also great. Can sometimes take a while. In the summer, it's nice to sit outside in the back. The winter garden has already been prepared. Update 2025: There's even a few vegan options on the menu. 3 vegan pizzas.

The salad with grilled turkey breast was super fresh and delicious – the tender meat and variety of vegetables were particularly impressive. The service was friendly and quick. Highly recommended!

Salad with turkey strips: No dressing, vinegar and oil were added, done. Pizza was average. All in all okay, but nothing special. You don't have to have it a second time. Kindness also looks different.

We were disappointed with our stay in Garching. The interior is absolutely bland and unattractive, looks like a canteen. When it came to the octopus salad as a starter, the potatoes and octopus were far too hard - it was a shame! The pizza was okay, but not a highlight either. The Italian in our area does this better. The service was business friendly. No further visit is planned.

Taking off lately.. Not just the prices.

Through a media report I became aware of Giovanni Stincone, the 'Padrone' of this very rustic restaurant, who was crowned European Pizza Champion some time ago for his traditional and innovative creations. So it's no wonder that most visitors also had one of the steaming pizzas, even though the menu includes numerous other Italian classics. But the house specialty is really a stunner: a totally fluffy yet crispy dough with a high edge, which, in combination with the fresh topping, tastes fabulous from the first to the last bite! A blunt, friendly team with typical local casualness rounds off the good impression! Buon appetite! 🍷🍕🍧

The best pizza in Munich was advertised on the internet, but the exact opposite was meant. The walls looked very dirty, the walls were so black from soot from the pizza oven. I'll never eat there again, pizza would get cold quickly. The only positive thing was the woman from the service, that was it.

The best thing was the timely delivery. Unfriendly messenger. The gnocchi was dripping with oil. The carbonara is extremely flaky and there were only 3 pieces of bacon in the entire dish and totally tasteless

Food came after an hour and was still cold!!! But the main thing is European champion___ in expensive! Put a little more emphasis on quality… my recommendation.

The pizza was really excellent! Absolutely great in taste. A normal children's pasta with butter was also very tasty. However, I found the prices to be a bit high. But it was worth it.

We spontaneously went to eat here and when we saw the pizzas, it was clear that we wanted pizza too. Had the Diavola with extra garlic and it tastes exactly what it promises. One of the best pizzas, really! Very very tasty. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures.

We went to the small restaurant for pizza last night. The atmosphere is small and clean but not overly cozy. More typically Italian simple in a fast food restaurant style... The service was very friendly and attentive. The taste was good. It was a bit of a shame that my pizza arrived lukewarm to cold because the plates weren't preheated. Had the vegetarian bufala where tomatoes and rocket are then served cold and everything cools down very quickly thanks to the deliciously thin pizza base on the cold plate. However, the pizzas at the table next door and at my partner's were very hot, so that was a slip-up for me, but a plate warmer would of course be nice... However, I find the prices very exaggerated: 2ml Lambrusco 6.90 EUR!!! Pizza Bufala (vegetarian) 18.90 plus 1.- for garlic. Pizza Tonno 16.90, Panacotta 7.90 (fantastically good!!!). Overall, a good meal but completely overpriced for the fast food restaurant ambience. I find the advertised “Best Pizza in Munich” arrogant for here in Garching. It was good, but in my opinion I ate the "best pizza in Munich" at Hugo's on Promenadeplatz, prices here on the most expensive mile in Munich were at a similar level to those at Pergola..!!!

Best Pizza in The Munich area. Over the last few years they really upped their game! The location is accessible by car, with plenty of bike parking and an subway station just meters away.

Salad unfortunately repeated with soil. Pizzas are always blackened. The lasagna is served lukewarm-cold on a plate with unmelted cheese. The recommended wine was extremely sour wine with no flavor to pour away. And all at high prices. Many people may like the ambience and some may also find the familial moodiness to be “typically Italian”. Not me. There are probably good days too, but that cannot be predicted. I prefer consistent quality, hygiene and good price performance. Unfortunately, this is not the case at any point.

Because of the good reviews, we wanted to have a nice dinner on a weekend and went straight back out, despite having a reservation, we were put in the kitchen to eat.

This is how pizza should taste. I think it's a shame that Romana pizza has become established internationally. I find Neapolitan pizzas, like those offered at La Pergola, better because they have a thick, fluffy edge and a thin base. The homemade tiramisu was also very tasty. Service and ambience were also very good. The waiting times for the food were noticeably short, even though we didn't make a reservation. My highlight: the truffle pizza.

I made a pizza short at Giovanni's. In my opinion, the pizza course is unique! First we had 2 1/2 hours of theory about pizza ovens, pizza accessories, different pizza doughs, etc. This theory was never boring and there was always hands-on visual material. Afterwards 2 1/2 had practice. First we made pizza dough with a kneading machine. Giovanni showed us all the intricacies of preparing pizza dough. Then we were allowed to knead ourselves. And then it was off to shaping and baking the focaccia. Afterwards we were able to try the delicious focaccia. And everyone was allowed to bake their own pizza. Giovanni was always available to give advice and support. Conclusion: The pizza course with Giovanni and his wife is a delicious experience and I can only recommend this course to every lover of Italian cuisine.

Great experience! We went to la Pergola for a pizza course. It really is a fun day and you learn something from it. Giovanni and Marta are super nice. And at the end there is homemade pizza, success guaranteed :-)

The classic salami pizza was really really good. Of course I can't judge whether it's the best in the world, the best in Europe or whatever. To be honest, I've never had a better salami pizza. The dough was perfect, as were the ingredients. Fresh fruity tomato sauce, good cheese, great salami. We also had a pizza from the weekly menu, which was more special. It's very good, but you just have to be willing to experiment. If you want to taste a real difference, compare the simple pizzas. If you just want variety, go for the special pizzas. Bruschetta was also great.

We ate here today and generally agree with the previous reviews. The pizza is really exceptionally tasty and delicious, we can recommend it with a clear conscience. The prices are relatively hefty considering what you get for it. The homemade cannelloni were tasty in themselves, but a very small portion for 14.90 and still very al dente. There was no bread with the starter salads (Insalatina), as I am usually used to. The service was average, OK but not particularly warm. At the beginning we almost had the feeling of being disturbed, but that could also be because we arrived shortly after 4 p.m. We would probably come back for the pizza.

A restaurant in the city center. The seafood in the seafood noodles is very fresh and the ingredients are sufficient. The noodles are slightly salty but very dry, 4.8 points. The seafood pizza is slightly soft, but very tough and has a chewy texture, 4.8 points. Beef rice as a side dish. A bit sour and sweet, 4.3 points

So far only ordered via delivery service and the pizza has always been very good. Today we wanted to eat there for the first time (Wednesday evening) without a reservation. When we arrived there were 3 tables occupied outside and there were no reservation cards anywhere. It took a while until they could give us a table. Then we waited 10 minutes for someone to take our order, but no one came. Two waiters kept running around without delivering food. They spent most of their time looking at the reservation book to distribute arriving guests. Otherwise they just walked back and forth without visibly doing anything. You should probably take action yourself for every step, there is no trace of service here. The prices are also absolutely outrageous - the pizza is delicious, no question. But charging 40% more than the competition is just cheeky. Instead there are plastic tables and uncomfortable metal chairs and the service is non-existent. Then we left and went to the Greek restaurant next door. Ordered immediately, drinks arrived after 2 minutes, food after another 5. That's what I call organized. We certainly no longer order pizzas via the delivery service.

Unfortunately I can't rate it 😞 Opened according to Google, it was 8/24/24 There's a note on the front door saying we're on vacation🫥 It's a shame about the journey
