La Mex Lounge in Frankfurt am Main

Ambience was cool. Foods was also great. Had a nice evening dinner with friends. It is on a walking distance from train station.

I was just there for dinner; the cocktails, wine, and food were delicious. However, while the rice in a Mexican dish (I had chimichangas) did bother me, I also found the argument between two employees, which took place right next to my table, somewhat disturbing.

When you walk into La Mexiko Lounge, you might initially think it's just a bar, but the food here is really good. There were four of us, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The dishes are authentically Mexican, but you should have a bit of experience eating Mexican food without everything falling apart or making a mess 😂. Overall, it's a very nice place with good food and a relaxed atmosphere.

The people who work there are absolutely wonderful – the team perfectly accommodated my wishes (I was pressed for time) and the food tasted absolutely delicious!! I'll be back soon – bravo! 👏

If you like Mexican food DON'T eat here. Very poor. Also the waitress didn't explain the sizes of the drinks and insisted on bringing the bill before I'd finished eating. Poor service.

Got brought the wrong dish - a dish with meat (I’m a vegetarian) and was still forced to pay even though I’m 1000% sure I ordered the right meal. Will not be coming back

Great food! Bring from south Texas and having Mexican food on a regular basis, I was curious how this would compare. While it was different than what I’m used to, it was excellent. Would highly recommend!

Worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had

Went for what was supposedly going to be a nice meal with my boyfriend. He has been a vegetarian for his whole life and ordered a clearly labelled vegetarian dish. This vegetarian dish contained MEAT! The staff didn’t do anything to compensate for such a mistake and one member of staff was particularly rude about the whole ordeal. Total let down

What are the good, but misleading, reviews based on? Average enchiladas and burritos, the service barely familiar with the menu, and French and Bavarian music blaring from the speakers.

Overall my experience was wonderful at that place.the Manager of that restaurant namely Daliborka Radosavljevic very friendly and professional.All the stuff was very humble and co operative.Food was very delicious and tasty.

Really enjoyed it here. Partner and I have a cowboy and chicken wrap - good sized portion. The wrap went well with the Kola weisen bier and after we had some birthday shots (cherry drop and kamikaze) and cocktails (hurricane and mango one) Totalled roughly 90€ which wasn't bad. Waiter pitied my terrible German which my partner found hilarious Overall the food was tasty, drinks were great. We are outside, and with it being on the corner of elbestraße and munchenerstraße, there's a lot of pedestrian traffic - so good for people watching if that's your thing The place wasn't overly busy when we went (19:00ish)and food arrives quickly The atmosphere was good and not too noisy, though I could imagine it being more rowdy when it's busier.

No one can convince me that this food is Mexican. It wasn't bad, but I thought I was eating authentic Mexican food. When I saw white rice with the burrito, I should have walked away. The prices aren't bad. The flavor isn't bad either, but I couldn't find any Mexican food.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Frankfurt! The Mexican restaurant was absolutely amazing — every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and authentically Mexican. The atmosphere was vibrant and full of life, and the decor made us feel like we were actually in Mexico. A special thank you to Adel, who was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful. He guided us through the menu and made our visit even more enjoyable with his warm attitude. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Frankfurt — especially if you love good Mexican food!

Very good food and the cocktails were great. The staff was also friendly. We had vegetarian enchiladas and tacos. And the cherry mojito and Sex on the Beach were incredibly delicious. We highly recommend it. If we visit Frankfurt again, we know where we'll eat.

Delicious food in the train station district

I didn't know the place, but I loved it! Very clean, nice, quiet environment inside the restaurant and tidy, the waitresses are nice and very friendly, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend it, and they also have vegan options! There were three of us and we spent about €40 on our orders. 10/10 We ordered nachos without seasoning and a chicken burrito.

We had a great meal outside on a warm summer evening. The cocktails were truly delicious, and the service was truly friendly and extremely attentive. It wasn't cheap, of course, but where can you find that these days?

Food was good. But, as Americans, the flavors were not all exactly right. Though, the outdoor atmosphere makes it a better experience. Our server, Shakira, was good, but could have been a little more attentive. There were many excuses made for the amount of people they were trying to serve, the amount of people they have working, and the size of their kitchen. It took 30 minutes or more just for an order of chicken nuggets and french fries. There were definitely some good options on the menu, and it’s worth a try, with a smaller group.

There doesn't seem to be a lunch menu anymore. Instead of 8.90, you pay 16.90 for a burrito. It's still delicious.

I ate here, the burrito was good but the calamari rings were horrible, pure flour, the worst thing I've ever eaten.

We walked into the restaurant and it was okay, pretty good vibes, a bit dark inside which was fine. There were two servers on staff and a man behind the bar. There honestly might as well have been just the bartender because the service was abysmal. Not only was it incredibly slow, but the main man who was waiting on us was so RUDE. He had a nonchalant and arrogant attitude throughout our entire meal. He kept chatting to the other server on staff while we tried making eye contact to order, and he even took a call (where he was laughing and seemed relaxed) outside for over 5mins while we were trying to get the bill. Every time we had to ask the bartender to call the server over. We tried to order extra chips (tortilla), whilst pointing at the "nacho" part of the menu, and he came to our table with fries, to which we said thats wrong sorry we ordered tortilla chips - he said no you ordered chips and these are chips, the other chips are nachos (nachos have toppings, regular tortilla chips do not). Incredibly rude while saying it too!! It was honestly a waste of our last meal there. The food was very one note (not bland but the same taste all throughout, nothing special). One thing I will commend: the portion sizes, they were huge and good for what you pay for. And the bartender, he was on top of things and made a good Capri Berry cocktail. If you're wanting crap service and okay food, this is the place for you. If not, steer clear.

Zero Mexican food. The food is far from authentic. The burritos, nachos, burgers, and more are just Tex-Mex food, which doesn't represent Mexico. I understand the "food adaptation," but it seems like no one was informed about authentic Mexican food when creating the menu. That's why I'm giving it one star.

Had the Chicken Quesadillas, which were quite good, definitely not authentic Mexician food but quite good for Germany. It is a little overpriced for what it is, but overall, it is a good experience. The area around the restaurant is quite busy and noisy, although you can still talk.

The food was really good. Unfortunately, there were repeated problems with the bill at the end. The charge for food and drinks was too high. After consulting with the waiter, it was difficult to agree on who should pay for the drinks or the food. It's a real shame, because the rest of the food was really great.

I was in urgent need of a restroom, but no place along the entire strip would let me use theirs - except here. Thankfully, a kind lady welcomed me in. That small act of empathy and kindness speaks volumes about the people who work here. I’m truly grateful and definitely looking forward to coming back to try the food!

Nice location and quickly and easily accessible from the main train station

I can't say anything about the food here. But: There is Heineken on tap! This is of course great 😁 The waitresses are all incredibly friendly and accommodating. Sometimes there is stress in the train station district, there are often assistants or something like that... But the restaurant can't do anything about that. What I find very VERY positive is that they actually gave a homeless person something to eat. Lots of shops can follow this example, really!

We ordered burritos, tacos, enchiladas and quesadillas, but unfortunately the food didn't taste good at all. It was a far cry from authentic Mexican cuisine – bland, bland and lacking any real flavor. There were also drinks that were hardly carbonated, which further worsened the overall impression. The service was also disappointing. The waiters just stood around, didn't clear anything and didn't seem really interested. Our empty plates remained on the table for an hour without anyone caring. Overall a bad experience - two stars only because the food was at least warm. We're definitely not coming back.

Before we arrived, we asked by phone whether our small dog was welcome in the restaurant. The gentleman on the phone was very friendly and confirmed that our dog was welcome. When we arrived we were immediately recognized and warmly welcomed. The service staff took our orders and took our extra requests into account (no jalapeños, no BBQ sauce). Since the food was freshly prepared, it took a short moment. We ordered the following: Nachos Con Pollo (very tasty) without jalapeños, Enchilada Ranchero without BBQ sauce (tasty) and Burrito La Mex without peppers and jalapeños (fried and very tasty). We also ordered Cola, Cola Zero and Cola Diet. All in all it cost us around €65. Payment was also quick and easy with a card. The service was good and we left a tip.

I was just eating a burger, my burger was completely cold and I told the waitress this too but there wasn't even an apology from the kitchen as is usual when you serve cold food so first and last visit

Vegetarians beware. We ordered a portion of nachos. Which was really good and a portion of enchiladas verdure. The waiting time was 40 / 45 mins even for the nachos. Once the food arrived the nachos were great. The enchiladas were an absolute disaster. It had green peas, cauliflower and potatoes. We were unsure what we were eating. The rice was just a pot of steamed rice with some powder sprinkled on top. Absolutely nowhere close to the Mexican cuisine. Just a bad experience overall unfortunately.

The customer service was excellent, especially Daza. She was incredibly kind and attentive, coming to us as we were browsing the menu and offering helpful suggestions. Her warmth and genuine care made us feel so welcome. The food was also fantastic and truly made our day. Highly recommend!

The cocktails were good, a little disappointed with my tacos and we had to wait about ten minutes before getting a table even though we had made a reservation in advance but it was nice

Yes, my Fajita Carne was okay, but I still have to say that Mexican cuisine doesn't have much to offer. And for just under €23 I would have hoped for a few more pieces of meat instead of just six pieces, lots of peppers, lots of onions, but the main player, little meat and the second. The waitress coughed the whole time and still served the food. So I have to be honest and say that I don't want any bacteria on my plate.

We went to celebrate my birthday, and they made it very special. They prepared for us a special dessert with candles. Service, ambience and food were amazing!

Delicious food, the service was friendly and responded to our wishes. The drinks replenishment could have been done a little better, but not a big criticism. The The ambience is nice, but in the cold season the seats near the entrance are a bit quick so you will definitely leave earlier than you might have planned, so sitting there (near the entrance) is not recommended.

And where we ate quite well.. A mouse 🐁 walked in and out of the kitchen-tables. When we made a remark, the waiter mocked us and said that they are friends of the boss... And that the kitchen is closed. While we were already eating.. Unacceptable.

Especially at lunchtime with a reduced, inexpensive menu, the restaurant is a good alternative for fans of Mexican cuisine to go out for something to eat in the train station district.

I ate a fried burrito, topped with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. It was sensational, especially for the price. I recommend eating indoor since the area can be, let's say busy. The service was fine, but paying with card can be a hit or miss, so I recommend bringing cash.

Surprised to find Mexican food that was on par with what I've had in the states.

Unfortunately there is no Mexican restaurant that is run by Mexicans or Latinos, which isn't a problem in itself, but the food just wasn't tasty. With the crispy chicken, the chicken was simply watery, the taste of the lettuce and tomatoes was simply weak and also watery. The sauce was simply a store-bought sweet and sour sauce... so it was just a disaster. The nachos with cheese that we ordered were also a disappointment. Cheese was hard and burnt. The gucamole was tasteless and 100% not homemade. Clearly NO recommendations.

Sitting near the door made it cold. A waitress played with the door. But the food was absolutely amazing.

We have been to the LaMex Lounge twice. The food and service is fantastic.

Decent food, definitely not authentic Mexican or Tex-Mex. Refried beans are not really refried beans but cooked beans served with a couple of folded tortillas- tasty and filling enough to be a meal. The vegetarian quesadilla was full of potatoes, broccoli, carrots, and cheese- more like a squished pot pie than a quesadilla but still good.

Comida excelente! Preço bom! Os pratos são bem preparados e saborosos. A localização é próximo à estação central, o que facilita para quem tem uma viagem próxima. Recomendo demais!
