1 hour 20 min. I wait my order! This is horrible experience in Germany! Foods are not very well. You should go regular Turkish Restaurant. Also, portion is really small and price is very expensive. The only good thing is atmosphere!

Modern and clearly furnished. Everything makes a valuable impression. Tables are nice and big. The food was well prepared and nicely presented. Service attentive and responsive. However, they were there outside of meal times and were almost the only guests. What we found disturbing was an unmistakable beeping sound that probably came from the open kitchen. The espresso cups were not preheated, so the drink was warm. But generally worth a visit and an enrichment for Krefeld.

I had dinner with my girlfriend today and it was very good. We'd love to come back. Only recommended.

I ended up at Choban with my daughter today by chance and was absolutely thrilled! Service was attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was very pleasant and the food was a dream! Visually beautifully presented and super tasty. I also think it's great that it's now open from midday. I will definitely come back, I still have so many things to try from you! In any case, I left with a feeling of happiness in my stomach and a smile on my face. What more could you want?

Achtung nicht täuschen lassen, nicht mehr La Meseta jetzt CHOBAN Restaurant: Eine Schande für das toll eingerichtete Restaurant, unfreundliche schlecht geschulte Bedienung, andauernd wurden Getränke und Speisen quer über den Tisch gereicht obwohl genu Platz zwischen Tischen und Stühlen vorhanden ist. Essen unterirdisch, warmgehaltene Speisen in 5 Minuten nach der Bestellung an den Tisch. Schmutzige Stühle und unsaubere Tische. Nie mehr wieder!!!

I have to say that the place looks very good. However, the food unfortunately lacks spice. It's very healthy but I wouldn't say that the food is great. It could be spicier and more authentically Turkish, but it hardly is. What a shame!

We were quite early, so we had the attention of the entire team. Food was well presented, salad dressing was a bit sour - should have been sweet. The portion of the appetizer plate was small, but it was also designated as an appetizer. Baklava was very good, there was also some house tea. We'd love to come back.

We are excited! Simply thrilled! The people are soooo friendly and accommodating, the food is great! You get everything you want and the way you want it. We have become regular customers and go there with friends and colleagues as often as possible. Finally a great restaurant with really, really good Turkish cuisine! The food is so delicious and fresh! And the store just looks great. Last week I was there twice, once with colleagues and once with friends. Next month a friend is celebrating her birthday with 10 people here. We can unreservedly recommend this restaurant. Others can learn a lot from this friendly service. Cok cok teseküler! Yemekler cok iyi!

Das Lokal ist toll designed, das war es dann auch leider schon . Das Personal ist entweder bemüht und inkompetent , oder hat keine Lust. Als wir unser erstes Getränk bekamen, verließ eine große Gruppe gerade das Restaurant. Was dann geschah war unglaublich . Zwei recht Junge Kellner bauten den Tisch, mit solch einer Lautstärke und Elan auseinander, um neu einzudecken, dass man dachte man sei in einer Jugendherberge. Das Essen eine Fleischplatte für 60 Euro war eher mittelmäßig und komplett durch gebraten/zäh. Kein Oberkellner/Gastgeber in Sicht, dem man Kritik näher bringen könnte. 90 Euro mit sehr wenig Alkohol und 2 kleinen Vorspeisen , wurden als Rechnung präsentiert. So funktioniert Gastronomie nicht im Jahre 2024. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht

The food tastes good. The prices are completely exorbitant and when it's full it gets very loud.

The presentation of the dishes really deserves 5 stars, unfortunately the lamb chop smelled very strong.. no thyme, no spices in general!! As a side dish there were steamed vegetables without rice, which was actually to be expected for the price of 27.50 euros. A great atmosphere, they really made an effort. We sat for around 2.5 hours and weren't smoked👍 Unfortunately, the waiter was so arrogant that he didn't accept a tip because we asked him for Lokum with the Turkish Mocha. In Indian gastronomy you should accept such wishes or expectations as an improvement and bring a little something from the kitchen as compensation... we Turks are actually "hospitable" Unfortunately, no trace of it was felt. We were 7 women celebrating the day (International Women's Day) and the reservation could have been prepared better. Here too there was no trace of preparation. It was the first and last time for all of us 👎

The reception was very friendly. We had an appetizer platter for two people. I found this a bit too expensive at €22.01. The bread was very tasty and was delivered free of charge. Ordering the main course was a bit difficult. I think the employee didn't understand us that well. I also find it inappropriate to clear individual plates even though the partner is still eating. I can't express how disappointed we were. We went there for the first time as we had a special day to celebrate. We ordered a starter plate, two main courses and of course drinks. We decided on the warm starter plate, which unfortunately was cold. Taste of starter: I have been served better starters in many Turkish kebab shops. Really. Main course: Absolute zero eight fifteen -- garnished with a mint leaf and a fried noodle as a highlight... Drinks: Great because they are not made in-house. Ambiance: Nice. Service: kebab shop Price: Too expensive for what is offered. Conclusion: Once and never again.

The basic concept of the restaurant has potential. Furnishings and design are modern and attractive. Unfortunately, these are the only positive aspects to be highlighted. The service, waiting times as well as the quality of the food and the associated price-performance ratio were shocking. When we arrived, we initially overlooked the unsympathetic greeting. After about 20 minutes we got our cards (only because of a tip from the next table to the waiter). Another 20 minutes later we were able to order. Unfortunately there was only bread for the neighboring tables. The size of the starter was disproportionate to the asking price. The taste was acceptable but the individual components of the starter plate did not differ from each other. After a little more than 1.5 hours in the restaurant, we received our almost tasteless and unseasoned main courses. The disastrous price-performance ratio was also reflected here. During the long wait we had plenty of opportunities to observe the other guests. In many places people were visibly upset about the poor service, confusing waiters and generally long waiting times. The farewell was just as unsympathetic and emotionless as the greeting. Unfortunately the first and last visit.

Was a very nice restaurant. The food tastes good. However, the portions are relatively small. I would have expected more. Service was ok

Lamb chops were very bad, the meat stank, we couldn't eat it, even the fish was bad and smelled bad. The owner wanted to make it up to us by treating us to baklava and sweet pastries, which was ridiculous. He should be happy that we didn't get food poisoning. Service was a complete disaster. None of the waiters had any experience in the catering industry. Coffee went to the wrong table. That was the first and last time we ate there. We paid €300 for four people for such a rotten piece of food. A good businessman can't charge full price for such a bad meal.

We had a very large table in the middle of the large dining room. Since the restaurant was very busy, it was not possible to have a conversation with the people opposite due to the size of the table. The currently fashionable dishes did the rest (creepy scratching noises) - unfortunately this also applies to some other restaurants. Except for the hummus (which in my opinion didn't deserve the name), the starters were appealing and tasty. Unfortunately there was “no whole fresh fish”, even though it was on the menu. The food was served very quickly. I really liked the Turkish white wine. The staff is very attentive.

Apparently the focus is only on the ambience. Unfortunately, the service was mediocre; we sometimes had to wait 30 minutes for a waitress to reach our table. Since the main course was no longer available, we ate our way through the starters, which was very sobering. Some of it looked suspiciously like frozen food. The price-performance ratio is not consistent.

A very pleasant restaurant. Rarely have I had such great service. The food is excellent and looks fantastic. We found the price to be rather cheap. Simply top in everything. We would love to come back and bring friends with us.

The ambience of the restaurant is appealing. Unfortunately, when I visited, the reserved table was not prepared and set. It took 20 minutes until we received the card, while guests who arrived later were already being served at the next table. We had the impression of an overwhelmed, disorganized service. When after 40 minutes neither food order was taken nor drinks were at the table, we left again.

Unfortunately, they forgot to provide enough service and kitchen staff on Valentine's Day, which would be particularly important on this day when lovers or anyone else takes the time to reserve a table days in advance. We had to wait 2 hours for our food. The meat was tough, the rice was cold and not one person asked if we wanted drinks, even though everyone's glasses were empty at the table. The starter plates have also been empty on the table for 1.5 hours. Conclusion: not recommended!!!!

Long waiting times. Even after repeated requests. Sometimes things were forgotten. A pity.

What can I say? The food was really tasty but the service was a disaster. There were four of us and we ordered starters and main courses. Then suddenly the wrong starters arrive that we didn't order. It can happen. But then I found it impossible to discuss with us that we had ordered it. Thank God my friend had written down the order in advance and was able to "prove" what we ordered. BUT I find it crazy that this is even necessary. My main course also arrived wrong. But now okay. I got my right one quickly. Aperitif and Mercibbons made amends. But then the next hammer is our reckoning. We paid separately, my girlfriend's bill included dishes that I had made and charged me for something I never ate. Apparently they also forgot to charge for an appetizer. On the way from the toilet after paying I was told that the starter hadn't been paid for. I paid back. When I said that there was something wrong with my bill, all I got was: Everything is correct, I should pay for the dish I forgot. So now I've overpaid 6 euros for whatever. Was treated as if I had made a mistake in such an unfriendly manner. The waiter simply didn't get it right with the order or the billing. I definitely won't come again. I've never experienced anything like this before. You can make mistakes, but you can't blame me for them. Unfortunately I have to say that almost everyone was really nice, but one gentleman was so rude that I definitely won't sit there again.

The Choban Restaurant offers a pleasant ambience, but service was disappointingly slow, even at low capacity. We ordered Beyti Kebab and İskender Kebab. Unfortunately, it wasn't a highlight and continued to disappoint with cold side dishes and an artificial-tasting tomato sauce that was definitely not homemade. In addition, the price-performance ratio is not good because the prices are too high in relation to the quality offered. Overall, an ambivalent impression remains

Service was good, the table was beautifully set. Price/performance not balanced. Sometimes the food came to the table lukewarm, maybe it was because we were a larger group. I love Turkish cuisine and was a bit disappointed.

Yesterday we were at Choban for the first time — and definitely not the last time. Everything was just right: the friendly welcome from a waiter in the chic ambience and the friendly, polite service at the table. But what ultimately matters, the FOOD, really thrilled us. We have rarely eaten at such a level! The starter (octopus) and the main course (lamb) were cooked to perfection and tasted excellent, the side dishes were just as delicious (and original), and on top of that everything was a visual feast for the eyes. CONCLUSION: We will definitely be back!

Das Essen war leider nicht überzeugend. Hat nicht meinen Erwartungen entsprochen. Das Fleisch zäh, ohne Gewürze, die Beilage (Gemüse) ohne Geschmack. Schade, die Ambiente ist ansprechend aber am wichtigstens ist immer noch das Geschmack der Gerichte. Hier muss das Restaurant noch einiges verbessern..

Schon beim reinkommen wurde man dumm angeguckt, es wurde nicht gegrüßt, gar nichts. Als wir zum Tisch begleitet wurden hatten wir uns dann eine Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Getränke bestellt. Nachdem die Vorspeise und die Getränke kamen (über die Größe und den Preis der Vorspeise sage ich jetzt mal nichts :D) warteten wir über 1 Stunde auf unsere Hauptspeisen, der Laden war nicht sehr voll, und die Küche war maßlos überfordert. Wir fragten dann nach, wo denn unsere Hauptspeise blieb, er sagte nur, „Moment“. Man sah dann, wie der Kellner dem anderen Bescheid gegeben hatte und er nur panisch zur Küche gelaufen ist (Ich denke mal, er hat unser Essen vergessen ). Nach weiteren 10 Minuten wollten wir dann bezahlen. Dann sagte der Kellner, dass es noch 2 Minuten dauert. Nach weiteren 5 Minuten kam dann das Essen, was auch sehr lecker war. Als Wiedergutmachung haben wir einen Dessertteller bekommen, was wir als Geste auch sehr nett fanden. Dennoch waren die Kellner sehr unfreundlich, sie sind nicht einmal zu uns gekommen, um zu fragen, ob alles in Ordnung sei oder wir noch etwas bestellen oder trinken möchten. Die Kellner zum Tisch zu rufen oder zu winken, war auch sehr schwierig, da sie nie zu einem geschaut haben. Wir hatten bemerkt, dass es nicht nur bei uns so war, sondern auch bei 2-3 anderen Tischen. Da fragt man sich, ob es daran gelegen hat, dass man Deutsch ist?? (Das waren die Gäste an den anderen Tischen auch). Gäste, die nach uns gekommen sind, circa 20-30 Minuten haben eher Essen bekommen als wir. Beim bezahlen wurden wir nicht einmal verabschiedet, der Kellner hat sein Karten Gerät mitgenommen und ist gegangen. 😂Vielleicht solltet ihr euren Service noch einmal überdenken, wenn ihr so weitermacht, kann euer Essen noch so lecker sein. Wenn der Rest nicht stimmt, ist der Laden nicht zu empfehlen. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen

Wir waren an Weihnachten zum ersten Mal im Choban und kommen sicherlich wieder. Der Service war TOP und das Essen super lecker. Selten so eine saftige Dorade gegessen. Freue mich jetzt schon aufs nächste Mal.🎄💫

Gestern Abend waren wir im Restaurant essen, und es gibt nichts zu bemängeln. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist traumhaft – ich persönlich empfand die Preise als sehr fair. Das Ambiente ist äußerst nobel und niveauvoll. Die Kellner waren äußerst professionell, und das Essen war ausgezeichnet gelungen. Es war wirklich lecker, und die türkische Küche wurde auf einem hohen Niveau präsentiert. Es freut mich sehr, dass Krefeld endlich ein vernünftiges Restaurant hat, wo man gerne hingeht, ohne sich Sorgen um den Geschmack oder das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis machen zu müssen.

Restaurant hat seit Oktober 2023 einen neuen Namen (Choban) und bietet erstklassige türkische Küche an. Service ist gut und trotz das alle Tische besetzt waren aussordentlich schnell Man kann es sehr empfehlen. Einziges Manko: Parkgelegenheiten nach 20 Uhr.

Wir hatten dort am Samstag unsere Weihnachtsfeier. Trotzdessen dass das Restaurant sehr voll war, wurden das Essen & die Getränke schnell serviert. Von Vorspeise über den Hauptgang bis zum Dessert war alles unglaublich lecker. Das Personal war ebenfalls sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Würde jederzeit auch privat wieder kommen. Vielen Dank! 🤍

Schickes Ambiente. Service langsam, unaufmerksam und unprofessionell. Vorspeise war gut, Hauptgerichte zu salzig und Fleisch zu durch, Kinderteller etwas lieblos ohne Gemüse. Bekommt man in deutlich besserer Qualität ein paar hundert Meter weiter in mehreren türkischen Imbissrestaurants preiswerter (da natürlich in rustikalerem Ambiente) Den Weisskäse, wie er explizit auf der Karte erwähnt wird gibt es dort auch…

Super leckeres und auch flott serviert. Preislich vollkommen in Ordnung. Einen Stern Abzug weil der Service etwas holprig war. Diese befand sich aber in der Einarbeitung, das restliche Personal war gut.

Wer moderne Türkische und Mediterrane Küche mag, der ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Ich mag es eher traditionell. Diesen Geschmack bekommt nicht jede Ambiente hin. Daher fühle ich mich in traditionellen, weniger schicken Restaurants, geschmacklich besser aufgehoben. Iskender hatte ich bestellt. Personal muss noch ein eingespieltes Team werden. Mein Eindruck ist, dass das Personal durch die auffällig lauten Anweisungen des Oberkellners eher verunsichert wird. WC‘s sind top.

Stylisches türkisches Restaurant mit hervorragender Küche . Werde es im Freundeskreis weiterempfehlen .

Sehr nettes Personal das Essen ist eine 1+ Steak und das Curry haben uns schwer begeistert. Der Nachtisch (obstteller) ist eher eine Obstplatte wie im Urlaub und lässt nicht zu wünschen übrig. Der Wein schmeckt sehr gut die Atmosphäre ist sehr edel und qualitativ schick. Alles in allem ein sehr tolles Restaurant zum unschlagbaren Preis! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Extra Pluspunkt Hunde sind auch erlaubt und er wurde auch gut versorgt ;-)

Sehr netter Türkische Restaurant mit Mediterranen Küche super leckere Speisen

Wir waren am Samstagabend im Restaurant essen. Es begann vielversprechend mit leckeren Aperitifs und einer sehr guten kalten Vorspeisenplatte. Leider war ein Hauptgericht (überbackenes Gemüse) nicht sehr lecker und auch von der Menge zu wenig für den Preis. Darauf aufmerksam gemacht, hat der Kellner nur gesagt, er werde die Küche informieren. Mehr kam aber nicht. Der Service war nett aber leider überfordert. Unsere bestellten Getränke kamen ewig nicht. Der angeblich halbtrockene Hauswein war einfach nur süß und nicht lecker. Daher hat das Restaurant meine Erwartungen leider nicht erfüllt.

Wir haben das Restaurant nach der Umstellung des Menüs von italienischer zur türkischer Küche das erste Mal besucht. Auch wenn der Service wegen Unterbesetzung etwas holprig war, so war das Essen hervorragend. Den Mitarbeiter war es bewusst, dass es nicht rund lief und sie entschuldigten sich mehrfach und waren stets freundlich. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Selten erlebt man einen solch zuvorkommenden Service. Aus Anlass eines Konzertes in der Friedenskirche hatte ich noch 1 Std. Pause und landete hier. Ein langer Tag lag hinter mir und mir war nach Kaffee und etwas Gebäck/Kuchen zur Stärkung. Kaffee hatte einen tollern Geschmack, Zu knabbern gab's leider nichts, was mir entschuldigend mitgeteilt wurde. Kurz darauf bekomme ich ein großes rundes, in Viertel geschnittenes Fladenbrot serviert, dazu eine Schale mit einer Kräutercreme, "damit ich nicht verhungere". Darauf gönnte ich mir noch einen Gin Tonic, auch der war vom Feinsten, v.a der Gin. Bezahlt habe ich nur die Getränke. Hat man sowas schon mal erlebt? Ich komme wieder. Dann zum Speisen, die Karte ist sehr versprechend. Danke.
