La Bodega Magdeburg in Magdeburg

La Bodega is a traditional Magdeburg restaurant that has been around since the 90s. Even after a change of operator a few years ago, it has lost none of its appeal. You sit comfortably, there is always something going on and the service is super friendly and professional. The four of us had the starter platter for two, which, if you have a main course afterwards, is almost too big for four people. Two people's stomachs would have been satisfied afterwards. For the main course we had a Valencian paella for three people, which the four of us couldn't finish. The only criticism of the evening was that the rice stuck to the pan. For dessert we each shared a Creme Catalana. Overall we were very satisfied.

It's been a long time since I've found a restaurant where I'm really surprised and am happy to give five points... The food is extremely tasty and the staff is really great and accommodating... Even though it was busy on Saturday, we always had the feeling that we were well received... Despite everything, the staff had time for us... Stay as you are... 🤩🤩🤩

Three-course menu, squid with garlic bread, three types of steak with baked potatoes and pepper sauce, crema Catalan. Except for the pepper sauce, everything was very good and would be recommended.

Coincidentally, we parked across the street and had dinner here. As Spaniards it would be unfair to criticize the food; I have to say it was packed on a Sunday night. Fast and very friendly service, a very nice and very clean place. The food in the end was the least important thing...when you are in a little corner of Spain.

A very nice authentic restaurant with excellent food! I was passing through and chose La Bodega to have lunch here. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. Spanish music was playing in the background. The food was served fresh and hot and was an experience for my taste buds! Magdeburg certainly has a lot to offer, but I would come back just for La Bodega. For me a clear recommendation for everyone who loves good Spanish cuisine and atmosphere!

For my birthday I invited my children and grandchildren to La Bodega. I have to say, we were all very excited. We hadn't experienced such friendly and attentive staff and great food for a long time. The restaurant was full of guests and the service was still excellent. It wasn't the last time I was there and I can only recommend La Bodega.

The atmosphere is very cozy and the food is simply fantastic. Had the appetizer platter, the sea bass and the steak. Definitely coming back

The food is very, very good. The tapas plate for two people is recommended. The service and therefore the waiters are very friendly and accommodating. Our evening for two was a successful evening at La Bodega. Small dogs are also allowed upon request and you will be given an extra space where the other guests will not be disturbed. I can fully recommend this restaurant. Reservation is advantageous during peak times.

My friend invited me to this restaurant for dinner. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. Although the food didn't meet my personal taste 100%, the quality was really good and the portions were so generous that I was definitely full. I would definitely recommend this restaurant – it’s worth it!

In my opinion the atmosphere is very authentically Spanish. The service is outstanding. Our meals tasted very good. We had beef fillet with vegetables. This is often our choice when we go out to eat. I have to say we will come back to Magdeburg.

The food is first class. The various cold and warm tappas as well as the main dishes a la carte are simply great. The service is very courteous and nice without being intrusive. Since it is a fairly large restaurant, it can get quite noisy on public holidays and weekends when there is a lot of traffic.

I was there for the first time yesterday. Overall, the service was really very good, the only thing was that it was a bit too much for me personally because we were asked every 2 minutes whether we knew what we wanted. The atmosphere is pleasant and also clean and well maintained. What I really missed was some typical Spanish things. There was no sangria on the menu and paella was only available if at least two people ordered it. I found the map very large and confusing. The quality of the food I ordered was nothing special, but I found it a bit too expensive. Small conclusion: yes, I was there once and I probably won't think about it again

A reservation is recommended. The tables are close together. You can only fit through a walker or stroller to a limited extent. Of course it is noisy because of the many guests. The food is very tasty, the prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and will help you. Unfortunately, at the end everything was mixed up when paying, even though we asked beforehand who had what.

I attended the funeral service on December 21, 2024 at the cathedral and wanted to eat something afterwards, alone, as a woman. First, a younger, highly tense waiter of unknown origins looked at me. Apparently this was a problem that I was unaccompanied? (The absurdity of it cannot be surpassed) Then another waiter asked a visitor who just wanted something to drink from the restaurant... without explanation... (Daniel from WELT and his team happened to be sitting at the table.) This waiter, who was pleasant enough, then showed me a seat. As I took off my jacket and rolled a cigarette, another tense waiter approached me, completely overwhelmed by the entire situation, or me? I had to justify myself for wanting to roll a cigarette and smoke in the fresh air... on a day like this. He went. Another 3 minutes later another guy came up to me and asked me to leave the place. I requested clear communication, justification and explanation. He didn't have a satisfactory answer. He probably didn't know himself. Well, maybe no one knows what's right in times like these anymore? So I had no choice but to pack my things and leave the restaurant hungry. ANGER! I perceived these men in waiter positions as aggressive: verbally and in body language. I can't understand it and, to be honest, I don't want to anymore. I am now lighting my candles at the market in memory of those innocently brutally killed and injured who are still fighting for their lives. --->I don't even give this place my hate. No more strength.<--- By the way, in what was probably the last open restaurant in the area (Alex), I was given a great welcome and treated to good German food and beer, despite the late hour. Luckily we had booked seats. However, limited to two hours from the start. Very busy on Saturday, but attentive staff nonetheless. However, it is very loud in the room, perhaps you should work on the acoustics.

We were very satisfied, even with the shop full, as many people had their Christmas parties here, the staff was very friendly and the steak was the best, very tasty. I would love to come back here. THANKS

Wir sind zu Besuch in Magdeburg und haben vorab einen Tisch reserviert. Wir sind deutlich zu früh erschienen aber in kürzester Zeit war unser Platz sauber und sehr sehr ordentlich gerichtet. Da unsere fünfte Person noch etwas unterwegs war wurde höflichst durch das über den kompletten Zeitraum unseres Besuches zuvorkommende Personal gewartet. Das Essen, von der Vorspeise bis zum Nachtisch, ein Gedicht. Nicht nur kulinarisch sondern auch sehr schön angerichtet. Unsere Gastgeber versicherten sich nie aufdringlich zwischendurch ob alles in Ordnung sei. Alles in allem ein Restaurant das von der Bedienung bis zum Essen die 5 von 5 mehr als verdient hat!

Went there for lunch two days ago. After a friendly greeting we were assigned a table. The nice waiter specifically drew our attention to a LUNCH CARD. The food came quickly, was hot and very tasty. After a little chat about the great food, we were greeted with orig. Spanish liqueur and espresso surprised. Here the quality and quantity are right, the great ambience and the friendly, non-intrusive staff. Thank you 🍀 We'll come back next time we visit Magdeburg 💪

The worst Magdeburg has to offer. You don't have to come to me with kebabs etc...Culinari...Skadis...Dom König...Mr. Pan... these are restaurants with style... La Bodega is nothing in terms of cuisine... Super disappointing.

Waren schon öfters da auf der Durchreise nach Berlin, jetzt haben sie die Preise erhöht , früher gab es beim Brot eine leckere Paste und zum Abschluss einen sehr guten Grappa auf kosten des Hauses, alles gestrichen .

It's a very nice restaurant, nicely decorated, you can sit comfortably. It was very well attended, we were there on Friday evening and made a reservation. We really enjoyed the food and had a good selection. Our companion was also very satisfied. Since it was quite crowded there, the volume was also quite loud. We recommend it.

We made a reservation for the evening on a Saturday around midday and the first contact was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was very busy, but we were served politely and attentively throughout our stay, and I wasn't embarrassed to have to refill myself. Tapas and main course (lamb) were very good, only the espresso was a bit weak, all in all a very successful evening, restaurant can only be recommended.

The mojo in the Canary Islands potatoes was also borderline inedible. The prices are too high for that. Too bad. We were registered with our group. There was only a small menu, dishes from 23.50 and no vegetarian dishes. When paying, it turned out that the prices on the menu were incorrect and all dishes were 1 to 4 euros more expensive. Poorly done. Definitely not on the list for a second visit.
