I hadn't been to this long-lasting Italian restaurant for quite some time before rediscovering it a couple of weeks ago. Since then I have been enjoying three evenings there with family & friends and we were always concordantly delighted: delicious food and totally lovely service lead by the charming Sizilian maestro of the house. Many dishes on the menu are recommendable - but I cannot praise enough the staggering fish soup, the truffle specialities or the crusty Pinze Romane. The rather casual ambiance is another plus but you are well-advised to always reserve a table up-front as this place is loved by a lot of people. Alla prossima! 🦐🍾🌟

I know this place from before, when I lived nearby. My visit on Saturday met and even exceeded all expectations. There were 7 of us women and we got a perfect table in a booth so we could have a good chat even though the place was full. The service is excellent: very friendly, fast and all orders at the same time without delays. Not everyone can do it, really great. The food tasted really good, was prepared to perfection and was served hot. Very aromatic and fine. The prices are absolutely fair. Best food, friendly atmosphere! Best food in Munich

We have been coming regularly on a Sunday during Advent for many years. The food and service were first class as always. A downside is the somewhat sparse lighting. The atmosphere certainly wouldn't suffer if you could read the menu more clearly.

I find it shocking that there are cameras in the guest room and that guests are being spied on. I don't want to be filmed while eating. this is clearly not permitted by law.

Unfortunately, the good times are long gone. Now the food is just mediocre and boring. The lunch menu is absolutely uninteresting and cheap quality. There is definitely better in the surrounding area.

It was outstanding. The business lunch with "zupetta" (minestrone) and salad with roasted oyster mushrooms was very tasty and very cheap, the service was perfect, the atmosphere was relaxed and Italian. We also got the espresso afterwards as a gift. This is how ospitalità works. Mille grazie!

Nach langer Zeit mal wieder im "Kurfürst Maximilian" gegessen und erfreulich eindeutig überzeugt worden! Vorspeise und Pasta hervorragend, Service freundlich, kompetent und flexibel! Ist wahrscheinlich nicht der günstigste Italiener im Viertel, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut. Gerne wieder...!

Und mal wieder ein Zufallsfund. Wir haben noch keine bessere venezianische Leber gegessen in München. Aber auch die Pasta war perfekt. Man wähnt sich zwar in einem bayerischen Wirtshaus - also des Ambientes wegen - ist aber hübsch. Und der Service war auch gut, freundlich und kompetent. 4,5 damit 5 Sterne

Authentische italienische Küche, feine Pizzen und ein mächtiger Insalata de la Casa. Gerrankepreise fair, (Kinder)freundliches Service. Kein Wickeltisch, dafür eine Ecke im Gastraum innen.

Wir haben bereits mehrmals in dem Lokal gegessen und waren jedes mal vom Service und der Qualität sehr zufriedeen.

Wir gehen nun schon einige Jahre ins Maximilian und sind immer rundum zufrieden, wenn wir das Restaurant verlassen :) Super freundlicher sowie aufmerksamer Service, top Qualität bei den Speisen. Raffinierte wechselnde Gerichte in der Wochenkarte. Chef Florian und Serviceleitung Angelo inkl. restlichem Team geben sich sehr viel Mühe alle Gäste zufrieden zu stellen. Hier wird mit Leichtigkeit, Spaß und Amore gearbeitet. Es gibt sehr viele Stammgäste, was ebenfalls für sich spricht. Vielen Dank!

Fazit: Unfreundliche, fast arrogante Bedienung. Die Bedienung hat nach einer offensichtlich missverstandenen Bestellung (es kam statt der bestellten Pinsa mit Trüffel eine Pizza(!) mit Carpaccio(!) - und die war auch noch kalt!!!) unmöglich reagiert, und fing an, zu diskutieren, um Recht haben zu wollen, anstatt auf die Bedürfnisse des Gastes (im Fall der falsch servierten Pizza war das meine Frau) einzugehen. Das hat leider das ganze Abendessen stimmungsmäßig getrübt, obwohl die Pizzen (zumal, wenn sie warm gewesen wären) nicht schlecht waren. Aber eine war hat falsch und kalt. Und die Bedienung war schon fast arrogant. Wir waren das erste, und wohl auch das letzte mal dort...

Tolles Ambiente, sehr freundliches Personal und natürlich eine hauchdünne Pizza, fein belegt. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Toller Service, tolles original italienisches Essen und eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Immer wieder gut, immer wieder gerne hier.

Ein sehr gemütliches Lokal mit guter Küche und spitzen Service.

Wir kamen heute Abend zu viert und haben viel Geld gelassen. Mehrere Gänge, ganzer Fisch, Wein in der Flasche. Wenn man dabei durchgehend gleichgültig bedient wird, weiß man irgendwann, dass man nicht wieder kommen wird. Die Qualität der Speisen ist gut . Der Service leider nicht. Komplett unambitioniert, ohne Nachfragen und ohne jedes Bemühen. Warum ist es Samstag abends nicht mal annähernd ausgebucht ? Für mich gibt es in der Nähe bessere Alternativen für einen schönen Abend beim Italiener.

Ein ehrliches Restaurant und eine gute Trattoria. Schneller Service mit einer freundlichen Bedienung. Preis/Leistung passt. Nettes Ambiente in einer schönen Umgebung.

Wann immer wir da sind, ist es wirklich gut. Die Köche kochen konstant hervorragend und das Essen ist auch abwechslungsreich auf der Tageskarte. Gleichzeitig sind die Mittagsmenüs, falls man mal unter der Woche Zeit hat, äußerst preiswert. Der Garten ist eine der schönsten kleinen und gemütlichen Gärten in der ganzen Umgebung, der Innenraum im Stil der 20er Jahre des vorigen Jahrhunderts legendär. Einzige Schwäche war für uns neben einem klassischen Hauswein, die neuaufgelegte Pinsa, die im Vergleich zu anderen Gerichten und Pinsa an anderen Plätzen zu teuer erscheint und dabei auch schwach belegt, die geht besser. Egal, hier kann man wunderbar entspannen und genießen.

Wir haben beide ein Thunfischsteak mit Gemüse bestellt. Das Thunfischsteak war nicht wirklich gewürzt u das Gemüse fast kalt u sehr lieblos angerichtet u dürftig zusammen gestellt auf einem kalten Teller u das für stolze 32,50 pro Portion.

Gute Pizza und ansonsten die übliche Speisekarte, wie man sie beim Italiener erwartet. Sehr nett war, dass auf unseren speziellen Wunsch eine sehr gute Zabaione zubereitet wurde, obwohl sie nicht auf der Karte stand. Freundliche und schnelle Bedienung, insofern insgesamt alles bestens!

Pizzas were large and good, and we had a great tiramisu for dessert.
