Das Gericht kannte ich schon vorher. Allerdings habe ich es das erste mal im Ruhrgebiet probiert und es war geschmacklich Mega. Man schmeckt wie das Essen mit Liebe vorbereitet wird und es war brutaaaaalll. Maximal empfehlenswert.

Die Hälfte meiner Bestellung ist nicht angekommen und mir wurde keine Erstattung oder eine neue Lieferung angeboten. Es wäre wohl alles dabei gewesen. Schlechter Service, nie wieder bestelle ich dort!

Leider war das Kartoffelpüree so stark versalzen, dass man die ganze Bowl nicht essen konnte.

Das Weglassen von Kichererbsen war leider zu schwierig

Wir waren heute Abend bei Kumpir essen, wie schon oft zuvor, und bisher immer sehr zufrieden. Wir kommen 2–3-mal im Monat. Leider kam es heute zu einem unschönen Vorfall: Wir baten freundlich um zwei Boxen, um die Reste unserer Ofenkartoffeln mitzunehmen. Der Mitarbeiter wirkte dabei bereits genervt und teilte uns in einem sehr unfreundlichen, herablassenden Ton mit, dass die nächste Box extra kostet. Dass eine zusätzliche Box etwas kostet, ist völlig in Ordnung. Der Umgangston und das Auftreten des Mitarbeiters waren jedoch nicht angemessen, zumal wir mit Essen und Service bislang immer sehr zufrieden waren. Wir sind letztlich mit einem wirklich schlechten Gefühl nach Hause gefahren und hoffen sehr, dass es sich um einen Einzelfall gehandelt hat.

Waren zum 1 mal dort wollten auf ubereats was hollen in dem Moment hat man nur Kartoffeln reingehen und sonst nichts also man hätte als Überraschung etwas mehr bieten können

Schade! Ihr wart mal mein lieblingsladen! Leider immer nur teurer und nach und nach immer schlechter geworden: "Pulled" chicken ist meist eher eine sammlung dicker Fleischklumpen. Zum Service: Bestellen als Lieferung kann ich am. Wenigsten empfehlen, da bekommt man irgendwie immer die schlechtesten kumpir und bowls, hatten sogar schonmal welche bei denen die sauce einfach ganz gefehlt hat?! Mittlerweile kann man nich mal mehr vernünftig vorbestellen mit Zeitangabe, sondern sitzt dann trotzdem 20 Minuten vor Ort rum und stellt fest dass mit der Bestellung nichtmal angefangen worden ist.

Wir haben zwei Premium Kumpir Bowls bestellt. Laut Speisekarte kostet eine Bowl 14,50 € inklusive aller Beilagen und einer Fleischbeilage. Trotzdem wurden uns an der Kasse zusätzlich 4 € für den Thunfisch berechnet. Obwohl wir extra nachgefragt haben, wurde der Aufpreis trotzdem berechnet. Das ist nicht nachvollziehbar, wenn laut Karte eine Fleischbeilage bereits im Preis enthalten ist. Bitte das Personal besser informieren und sich an die angegebenen Preise halten

Die Preise auf der Speisekarte und die Berechnung an der Kasse passen überhaupt nicht zusammen. Die Premium Bowl kostet laut Karte als komplettes Menü inklusive Beilagen 14,50 €. Trotzdem wurden uns an der Kasse noch zusätzlich 2 € pro Menü berechnet. Das ist nicht nachvollziehbar und sehr irreführend. Wenn ein Komplettpreis angegeben ist, sollte dieser auch so berechnet werden

Waren das erste Mal dort und waren angenehm überrascht. Gute und große Auswahl an Speisen . Essen selber an der Theke bestellen Getränke nimmt man sich selber aus dem Kühlschrank, dass Essen wird am Tisch serviert . Geschmacklich sehr gut und die Portionen sind mega . Mitarbeiter sind locker drauf und außerordentlich freundlich. Wir kommen definitiv wieder !

Allgemein war das Essen richtig richtig lecker, ich wurde sehr korrekt aufgenommen und das kurze Warten hat sich definitiv gelohnt für einen sehr leckeren Kumpir. Nur zu empfehlen.

Ich habe hier vor etwa einem Monat auf Uber Eats bestellt und hatte nach dem Essen starke Beschwerden wie Übelkeit und Übergeben.

Leckeres Essen, viele Optionen/Menüs, schnell zubereitet und gehen auf Extrawünsche ein. Preis-Leistung war allerdings nicht getroffen. Mein Kumpir war leider sehr spärlich gefüllt. Toppings fast abgezählt. Daher „nur“ 4 Sterne!

Kumpir Kumpels kombiniert ein türkisches Rezept mit internationalen Zutaten. Tradition mit Hypster. Hier findet jeder etwas für seinen Geschmack. (Solange einem Kartoffeln schmecken. 😅) Es gibt reichlich vegane, vegetarische und unterschiedliche Fleischgerichte. Alles halal natürlich. Und obendrein auch noch lecker, gesund und füllend. Wir kommen gerne hier her.

Das Essen ist lecker, leider der Umgang mit den Mitarbeitenden nicht nett was mir etwas den Appetit verdorben hat. Arbeitsklima ist das wichtigste für ein rundum gelungenes Geschäft. Mehr Druck und Unfreundlichkeit bewirkt nun mal kein schönes Ambiente. Ich hoffe dass es in dieser Hinsicht Verbesserung gibt. Außerdem ist es total kalt in dem Laden.

Es war mega lecker, alles wurde frisch zubereitet , wir wurden sehr nett bedient! Es gibt eine große Auswahl! Ich werde kumpir Kumpels definitiv weiterempfehlen und auch selber wieder kommen

Unfortunately, my visit to this store today was extremely disappointing. The employee was unfriendly, irritable, and took out his obviously bad mood on me. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable in customer service. Anyone who works with people should be able to separate their personal feelings from their professional conduct. Customers are not there to bear the burden of frustration or personal problems. Instead of customer service, I experienced disrespect and disinterest. Due to this behavior, I cannot recommend this store and hope that they urgently address their professionalism and manners.

You guys are simply the best. Such delicious food. You made our evening so much sweeter and whipped up two classics for me in no time, so I could even catch the train and we could enjoy our meal while it was still hot. Thank you.

Good food, very good portions, and the price is still okay.

Ordered via Uber Eats – for the second time. The first time, the sauce was missing, so this time I wrote in the order notes: "Please don't forget the sauce :) No offense intended, it happens." Now both kumpir dishes I ordered are wrong. They said they'd call back in five minutes, but I never heard from them. My call went unanswered; I only got through to someone on a different number. Mistakes happen, but a quick message would have been nice.

Food was cold, service very unfriendly.

The ambiance was rather unpleasant, but the kumpirs were simply GOOD!

Great concept with delicious and healthy food! We love going here since we live nearby. Luckily, they offer reusable bowls so you don't produce any waste 🙌 The team is friendly and fast. The only problem is that it's hard to choose because the bowls are all delicious 😋

This place truly has the best kumpir you'll find anywhere. The staff is super friendly, the food is incredibly delicious, and the atmosphere in the shop is fantastic. They only play the best music! Please never close, and please reopen the place in Essen!

My most favourite restaurant in Essen. Tasty boiled potato with Halal chicken and other vegetables, simply love it. For Service, I would like to give 6 stars as they are nice, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended and I will be going to this restaurant more often

We're here, but the service is very poor. There's no coffee machine at breakfast, no juices, or fruit. And the breakfast is very poor.

There was a lot going on this Sunday evening, which ultimately speaks FOR the business.

Well, we didn't come to eat, we were allowed to sit there for 20 minutes and we were not served at all, then we left but nobody was interested in it either.

The food was truly outstanding – fresh, delicious, and the portions were very generous. Unfortunately, the lady who also worked there was less than polite. I politely asked her to pack my food, as I had barely managed to get anything done. Her response was, "We don't pack food for customers; you have to do that yourself." Her tone was unfortunately not friendly. When I then asked her to pay, she completely ignored me and suddenly spoke in another language that I didn't understand. Luckily, the young employee was there, and she took care of everything very professionally and kindly.

It was our first time there and we each assembled our own potato. We chose the regular option and two drinks. We were pleasantly surprised by how large the portions were and how delicious they were. The price for everything was between €25-30, which is perfectly reasonable for two people.

The delivery service is a complete disaster. We've ordered from them so many times, and they're always 30-60 minutes late. The food is great, but the delivery service is really annoying.

I came here on a friend's recommendation – and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised: The food was really delicious! The interior of the restaurant, however, is rather mediocre – it looks dated and could definitely use a renovation. What was annoying: The restaurant is located right next to a bus stop, and the benches and tables are often used by waiting passersby, not by diners. It would be much more pleasant if the location were moved to the inner courtyard – which is already there.

We were at Kumpir Kumpels in Essen on June 17, 2025, and can only recommend it! Very fresh, very tasty! We had the bowl version and were more than satisfied! We'll definitely be back!

Too incompetent to package the food properly so that it actually reaches the customer. Instead of eating, we were forced to clean the hallway; this, combined with the now truly exorbitant delivery fees, is a bad joke.

Delivery unreliable, food still not there after over an hour. Update 04.05.25 Kumpir Kumpels tried to have this negative review removed with the help of a lawyer.

Super delicious kumpir at a fair price. There are also many vegan options available.

I ordered through the Uber Eats app, which advertised a 2 for 1 offer. When the delivery arrived, there was only one potato in the package. I called them immediately to inquire if there had been a mistake (it can happen). All they told me on the phone was that they were no longer participating in the Uber Eats offer and couldn't explain why it was still listed there. They then vehemently refused to deliver my second potato, which I had legitimately ordered. I will never order from them again. That's not what good customer service looks like.

Overall, I'll try to express myself very clearly. I can't recommend this store. We drove 40 km only to be disappointed. The Kumpir arrived cold. We wanted potatoes, but we got more gravy than potatoes. Very annoying. My wife is pregnant, and now I have to listen to what she says.

I used to really enjoy ordering here. However, the second time we tried it we had a rancid sauce and the last time we ordered yesterday it was really bad: we both had to throw up afterwards because the food was probably bad. Never again

I had a Kumpir Alladin to take with me for 9.50 euros. In my opinion, the packaging is too small, the toppings are squashed and not much fits on top... Taste nothing special, service friendly, ambience simple.

The food there is super delicious and I would recommend everyone to go there. The Hercules Kumpir was extremely tasty. Additionally, the service was great and the food arrived quickly.

The bowls are always super tasty, but there is always very little sauce, so I always have to order a second sauce. Otherwise the potato always becomes incredibly dry towards the end.

I didn't like it at all. I tried two different dishes and neither of them impressed me.

The last time I ordered it, it tasted somehow different - in a negative sense. In addition, the olives were missing from both Hercules bowls and there was less sauce on them than I usually see from you. Too bad...

I had an amazing experience here! The Kumpir was the best I’ve ever had, perfectly baked potatoes loaded with fresh, delicious toppings. The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place for a tasty and satisfying meal!

There were three of us there today, all three of us had the problem that the potatoes were quite cool, but the employees were very accommodating and friendly. For 2 of us, the menu selection was really too neutral in terms of taste and almost boring. But throwing it together myself was actually much tastier and I'm looking forward to trying it again. The shop is very busy on Sundays, so you should definitely take some time with you.

The food itself is okay and actually a really cool idea. The store is busy and so it was when we were there (at 6 p.m.). Well visited. Especially from Lieferando. The two women standing at the counter were super friendly. Unfortunately, it's clearly understaffed. That's why they asked us to be patient. Which was totally fine. Because we weren't in a hurry. Before we left, the owner of the shop also came. He then did little things like turning on the radio and supporting the two of them. Shortcoming: Unfortunately there was an older kitchen helper. Who, from the looks of it, doesn't really enjoy her job. Her mine was warped. She also made as much noise as possible when putting the dishes in and out and moving the tables. I personally found it very unfortunate. I was here for the first time. I don't know if I would come back for dinner. Because good service is very important to me. I hope that this changes in the future.

Essen war super duper lecker. Die bedinung war der wahnsinn, ich empfehle sehr den Mitarbeiter „Tobi“ er macht echt krasse bowls mit mehr als ordentlichen Portionen.

Anfangs war das Essen top, die Portionen hatte eine gute Größe, alles war sehr frisch. Mittlerweile sind die Portionen halbiert worden und vor allem wurde an der Kartoffel gespart! (Bowl) Das finde ich sehr schade, denn es geht doch vor allem um die Kartoffel ... Schade, ich habe immer gerne bestellt, aber die letzten 3 Male war es mehr als enttäuschend. Ich werde nicht mehr bestellen.
