I'm a hunter myself and I must honestly admit—I couldn't have made it any better! Plenty of meat, the bread dumplings were fluffy, with red cabbage and salad. A lovely dollop of cranberries on the meat—hats off! Also to the service! Polite and friendly, always with a smile on their faces.

A beautiful, quaint, and classic German restaurant, just like the ones you'd expect from the past. Every little detail in the ambiance tells a story and has been lovingly selected. The food is also classic German and of high quality. What makes the Kartoffelsack special is the details – in every respect. The service is very attentive, personal, and very child-friendly. The restrooms are super clean! One small drawback would be that I find the schnitzel a bit too thick. But that's just a matter of personal taste, and it doesn't deduct any points.

The food is delicious here. A great restaurant with chic decor, friendly service, and a pleasant volume. There should be more of this in Eilenburg.

Unfortunately, this visit was followed by stomach problems and diarrhea. The name "potato sack" suggests professional, creative, and versatile preparation of potatoes. I was personally looking forward to a trout. This one came out of the deep fryer and had the consistency of a dried-out potato chip. The potatoes were watery and glassy, ​​probably from the previous year and, in my opinion, sitting in a mixture of clarified butter and deep fryer fat. There was a small pile of horseradish from a jar on the edge. I sent the plate back and received a replacement plate shortly after. However, although the trout didn't swim in the fryer quite as long because there was still some meat left, I sent this plate back too because all the components were inedible. That was lucky for me, because friends chose a lukewarm farmer's breakfast, among other things, and had stomach problems in the evening. The child got schnitzel with fries... the schnitzel was soggy on one side and the other side didn't seem to be deep-fried. The fries were dry... In the evening, I developed diarrhea and vomiting. Even our strongest friend at the table, who opted for the XXL schnitzel, had to deal with it afterward. All in all, we were seated at 6:10 p.m. The food arrived at 7:25 p.m. It was a difficult concept, and we didn't have a chance to return. A shame. The service was friendly and tried to ease the situation.

We ate at this place today. My dish was called "Ochsenfetzen" (Oxen shreds), which was advertised as beef fillet, which didn't match what was served. It was small strips of beef that resembled schnitzel, and they were also cold. The fried potatoes were a disaster, some of them burnt. Absolute audacity in my eyes. Price: €28.90. I can't recommend this place. They don't respond to any criticism, not even an apology. The drink prices are also absolutely exorbitant: 0.5 Hefeweizen beer €5.50, small Coke €3.70.

Attention, owner deletes reviews. Sorry, but printing bold election advertising first on the menu is really wrong. Edit: I was at your restaurant. But only for a beer. My partner's schnitzel was neither properly souffled nor did it come with cranberries. Ideology is whoever imposes something on others. And I found it intrusive to find this on the menu. That's just my opinion.

The menu contains several pages of election advertising for your own party and your place on the list. Political propaganda has no place on a menu. For this reason, we left the restaurant immediately and advise against visiting.

Today we spontaneously went to eat in the potato sack and were given a very friendly welcome. The restaurant has a great charm. We were served very quickly and the food was delicious. Furthermore, the waitress was very fond of children. There was even a glowing ice cube in an extra cup for our daughter. The portions are just right and you are spoiled for choice. We will be back!

We like to be in the potato sack, or better yet, in the outdoor area. When the weather is right, it's a really good place to sit and eat. The food selection is good, as is the implementation by the kitchen. Only sometimes, not always, the waiting times are a bit long. The food is good, the service is friendly, the outdoor seating is okay, the restaurant is small and a bit cramped (therefore a bit noisy and warm when it is full), so overall a good thing that I can recommend.

Food was great, schnitzels were big and tasty, fried potatoes maybe a little too salty but still ok, for €25 it's not exactly a meal you treat yourself to every day but good things have their price, we'll order again!

We sat in the covered outdoor area. Lovingly and comfortably furnished. Friendly and attentive service. The two of us shared a large schnitzel “Viennese style” with a side salad and fries. Certainly ok for fans of simple home cooking. Of course, we weren't expecting star cuisine, but a trained chef should be familiar with the preparation of a Viennese-style schnitzel (thinly pounded, seasoned with breading and briefly fried on both sides in a pan with sufficient fat, always moving). Ours was several centimeters Thick and therefore slightly chewy. But other customers here in the region probably like it just that way. The fries came to the table crispy, but quickly lost their consistency, unfortunately. A seasonal salad can also be presented differently because the quantity is not important. But we will still give us and the restaurant a second chance. Be available to give advice to the chef at any time. By the way, our table neighbors were very happy with their food.

The schnitzel XL au four with fried potatoes was great. That's why there are 5 stars. I found the atmosphere a bit overloaded, but still cool and cozy. Service was a bit slow, but very nice. We were here for lunch yesterday to mark the practice's 4th anniversary. Luckily we had reserved a table because it was full. We were served very friendly. Wir können wirklich nur gutes berichten über den Kartoffelsack. Mein Mann und ich haben dort unsere Hochzeit am 6.7.23 gefeiert. Und ich muss ehrlich sagen es waren alle so freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die ganze Planung war absolut kein Problem, jeder der Mitarbeiter hat geholfen wo er konnte und hat meiner Schwiegermutter aber auch komplett freie Hand gelassen was die dekoration anging, das alles so werden konnte wie wir es uns vorgestellt haben. Es war auch keinerlei Problem das wir unsere eigene Hochzeitstorte mitgebracht haben. Die ich am Tag zuvor sogar extra dort schon in den Kühlschrank stellen durfte. Wir haben den ganzen Außenbereich zu unserer freien Verfügung bekommen. Und vom Essen brauch ich glaube gar nicht erst anfangen. Das ist ja eh bombastisch 😉 da ist ja wirklich für jeden was dabei und für die vielen Mann die wir waren ist die Küche echt Mega schnell hinterher mit allen Bestellungen gewesen. Es gibt echt absolut nichts zu meckern. Wir gehen nach wir vor sehr gerne dort zum Essen hin🥰

An einem regnerischen Samstag war der Kartoffelsack unser Sonnenschein. Gemütliches Ambiente, eine sehr freundliche Bedienung und sehr leckeres Essen. Und bei den Portionen wird eigentlich jeder satt oder kann noch was mit nach Hause nehmen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr schnelle und gute Bedienung, wir haben draußen gesessen, da dies eine kleine enge Straße ist bekommt man unter Umständen etwas von den Abgasen der Fahrzeuge ab. Auch am Nachbartisch saß eine lustige Frauenrunde, wenn sie anfingen zu lachen, war es nicht immer angenehm aber dafür kann der Wirt nichts. Kann man auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen, für das Benehmen anderer Gäste kann man nicht immer Einfluss nehmen!

Das Essen war gut Der Service schlecht, der Inhaber sitzt mit den Gästen am Tisch und Raucht, nicht gut. Ihm ist ein Glas herunter gefallen die Scherben lagen nach einer halben Stunde noch da. Neue Gäste kamen den wurde gleich gesagt Essen dauert 2 Stunden. Es ist zwar Ehrlich aber kein guter Service. Wir waren das letzte Mal da.

Habe heute mit meinem Kollegen das Lokal aufgesucht und was soll ich sagen, überaus freundliche Bedienung, tolle Atmosphäre und leckeres Essen. Hier wird für deutsche Küche geworben und auch vollends mit Erfolg umgesetzt. Einige negative Bewertungen bspw. Über die Preise für Kleinstadtverhältnisse kann ich nicht klagen. Egal ob Groß oder Kleinstadt, die Preise für Zutaten und Unterhalts sowie Nebenkosten sind überall ungefähr die selben, daher absolut angemessene Preise. Ihr Lieben, macht bitte weiter so! Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder und kann euch nur empfehlen 👍🏻

Richtig schönes und gemütliches kleines Restaurant, sowohl im Sommer mit schönem Außensitz als auch im Winter mit uriger Inneneinrichtung sehr zu empfehlen. Leckere deutsche Hausmannskost, die mit Liebe zubereitet wird. Die Auswahl war vielseitig und hat unseren Geschmack getroffen.
