Really nice restaurant right on the market. Although it was quite busy, everything went relatively quickly and relaxed and the service was very friendly. The Wenker Urtreib was absolutely delicious and the fried potatoes with fried egg came with two perfect fried eggs (I was able to let the yolk run over the potatoes) and a very fresh salad. A good dinner in a very pleasant atmosphere.

Always good, you can eat, drink and watch football very well here.

At my favorite meeting point for Dortmund games or city shopping, only 3 stars 🌟. Why has Wenkers always been the first port of call for us and our friends for decades?! because none Young people were rioting, shouting and breaking several glasses while totally drunk. As always, we sat in the back right area at the last game and wanted to have a nice evening of football including food The situation was completely uncomfortable for all of the women We would like the restaurateur to not only make sure that all tables are well occupied before kick-off but also to be inspected during the game. The boys made good sales with 2 bottles of schnapps and numerous beers, but the standard was anything but good. This should not be seen as criticism, but as a gift and opportunity to change something. Most customers simply stay away or go one door further. 😱 and don't bother writing a review. With the hope of improvement Wenker's regular customers

Traditional gastronomy in the heart of Dortmund. Home-style cuisine, seasonal dishes, Hausbräu Wenkers Trübes. Counter operations, outdoor dining and space for smaller groups. Hotspot at BvB games.... and always nice conversations, not only with the very friendly service...

Went there and ordered schnitzel with chanterelle cream sauce side dishes...schnitzel ok. The sauce was white paste with 3 mushrooms in it...not recommended

Today the four of us were at Wenkers for the first time. Guaranteed not for the last time. Everything was just right and the service was great, hats off to the lady who had everything under control. Thank you 😊😊

I'm thrilled... I was in Dortmund on Sunday for work and met up with a long-time friend. The Christmas market was actually planned - but Dead Sunday wasn't on our list. So, on her advice, we went to Wenkers. Fantastic 😀. Friendly service - fast service - food was AWESOME 🔨.... A great menu - normal prices and a great atmosphere. I would be happy to come back 😇

Our spot during Ek!! Despite being busy, the service was good (Fraulein Knorr). And enjoyed a delicious Currywurst/Pommes. And.....delicious Beer!!😅👍

Difficult assessment because Dortmund and all the bars were in a state of emergency before the Germans' ⚽️ round of 16 against Denmark. Sitting there at the old market is very nice and on that day there was of course a very special football atmosphere. Our waitress was very attentive and gave everything 👍. The beer was delicious, but that day only available in paper cups. The food was very good, but we had to wait quite a long time. We would go there again on a normal day 😀.

Great ambience but very poor service

We visit Wenkers regularly, but the owner's behavior at the Champions League final was downright outrageous and arrogant. We sat outside and consumed a number of drinks at the high prices. Unfortunately, as guests, we were not allowed to use the toilets; access to the toilets was blocked by the security service. It's a total impudence to collect money for drinks and then send the guest away. I've really never experienced anything like that.

On Wednesday I went shopping with a friend in Dortmund. Afterwards we went to Wenkers to fortify ourselves. My schnitzel tasted like a schnitzel should taste like grandma used to make! 😃 The service was very courteous and friendly. I will gladly come again!

We watched the Champions League final here. What was positive was that only enough people were allowed in so that everyone could watch in a pleasant atmosphere. The tap beer tastes good, as does the food, but it's not a culinary highlight. The prices are higher: schnitzel with fries around €21, large beer €5.80. The service is friendly and customer focused.

Very cozy restaurant located directly on the Old Market. The service is super friendly and always up for a little joke. The typical Westphalian dishes are very tasty and plentiful. Also worth mentioning are the special beers such as Urtürb or Schwarzbier, which are delicious and drinkable. On Bundesliga match days, football is also shown on large screen monitors. Wenkers am Markt is always worth a visit.

Always worth a visit. Price-performance ratio is right. Nice staff even if you have any special requests. Now a must when strolling through the city. Food is good, but not top class. Nevertheless, we always find something and get full. I highly recommend it. Experiencing a match day there is almost like being in the stadium! In 2022 they still meet my expectations, but please be careful. The waitress was always trying hard. But it can also be better.

Very nice waitresses, very friendly and nice. I really enjoy drinking the cloudy stuff there and eating a Mettbrötchen with it. Highly recommended, I really enjoy going there. I'm always happy, everything is very pleasant.

Great authentic Dortmund restaurant. It's always worth a visit to see one or the other Urtreib. Great & friendly waiters who have been working there for years.

We had a lovely time, the food was good. We had the schnitzel for 2. The only minus was that the waiter added some extra money on the bill. He first made a joke that it's a only cash restaurant. When we asked why it was the bill higher, he said that in Germany you have to be careful when you pay with card because it is standard to add the tip/trinkgeld. Really? He gave us cash back. Obviously.

Qir were here again and it was again, really good!! Great sports bar with very nice staff. A good place to go to have a great evening with friends. We will come back next time we visit Dortmund.

Nice sports bar where you can also eat hearty food. The house beer 🍺 is tasty. The food looks good. The service staff are friendly and are always responsible for the same tables. Toilet is on the ground floor. TV for sports broadcasts available and on. What I find negative is that it is suggested at the entrance that payment with American Express is possible, but the payment device doesn't know anything about this. It now also works with American express card payments.

Really nice environment and German restaurant. The service was really nice and the food was great! They have quite a variety of dishes, and if you like sports, this is your place. We tried the schnitzel and I would really recommend it. Gerne wieder!

Wenkers am Markt ist immer wieder eine gute Sache. Feines Urtrüb im Glas, tolle Begleitung und der Abend läuft fantastisch. Bitte denkt an die freundliche Dame vor den WCs. Man vergibt sich nichts dabei, ein paar Cents, als kleines Dankeschön abzugeben. Das Personal im Wenkers ist insgesamt locker flockig drauf, das macht richtig Spaß. Die Getränke und Speisen waren sehr schmackhaft. Auch die Wartezeit hielt sich sehr stark in Grenzen ohne das die Qualität gelitten hat. Das Ambiente ist jetzt halt nicht so ganz meins und das Publikum war nicht so meins aber dafür waren die Mitarbeiter mega freundlich und aufmerksam.

Der Ort lädt zum verweilen ein. Das Essen ist gut und die Bedienung sehr freundlich und äußerst aufmerksam! Wir werden wieder kommen.

Voll, laut, Bierauswahl eher eng begrenzt, die hauseigenen Biere sind aber ok. Preislich eher hoch und der Burger im Kümmel Brötchen westfälisch interpretiert für mich gewöhnungsbedürftig. Service nett und bemüht, aber ständig laufende werbegetränkte Fernsehübertragungen von D-klasse Sportevents stören. Die Küche scheint zu funktionieren.

Die Bedienung ist unterirdisch und unfassbar frech. Wer Lust hat sich von einer Kellnern anbrüllen zu lassen ist hier richtig.

Zentrale Lage am Markt. Gemütliches Ambiente und freundliches Personal. Eine reichliche Auswahl an Biertypen ausgehend von Dortmunder Kronen. Die Speisekarte ist reichhaltig und berücksichtigt auch saisonale Gerichte wie jetzt im Winter Grünkohl. Der war ausgezeichnet und mit Bratkartoffeln, Mettwurst und Kassler ein Gedicht. Das Lokal kann man empfehlen.

War gestern wie jedes Jahr mit meinen Motorradfahren bei euch und wie immer alle sehr zufrieden. Hut ab für die langjährigen Bedienungen das sie da noch den Überblick behalten ist schon großartig. Auf die nächsten 30 Jahre. LG. Hans Steer Dortmund
