The price/performance ratio isn't right. Breakfast was too expensive for supermarket-baked rolls and convenience pancakes. The seating is pleasant and the service is quick and friendly.

I recently visited this restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The salad was brownish and didn't seem fresh, and the schnitzel was raw inside. Therefore, I can't recommend the restaurant.

Four of us had breakfast here on Sunday, and it was truly delicious. The selection is good and varied.

I was there for breakfast last Thursday. I had the energy wrap, and my husband had a breakfast with fried potatoes. It was delicious, and the portions were more than sufficient. Our two waitresses, Jenn and Leonie, were super friendly and prompt. I have to criticize the older lady who seemed very bad-tempered, so she deducted a point for service. She was unfriendly and constantly complained. I also heard her getting upset that one of the two dedicated waitresses was giving us advice and spending too much time at our table just because we wanted to know about the dishes, as my husband is gluten intolerant, and that was important to know. It's a shame that someone like that works in service.

No...sadly, it's overpriced! And the sauce for the side dish arrived 30 minutes late after two requests. I used to really enjoy it.

The food is great, the service is great too, but all the wasps are quite annoying when you sit outside! Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a cozy gathering quickly turns into an uncomfortable one. Perhaps the restaurant should put something on the tables to keep the insects away, otherwise you'll be eating with them. There's billiards downstairs, as well as foosball and other games, but it's very warm, so you can stay outside for a good hour and then have to go upstairs for some fresh air.

I actually just want to complain about the bartender who was working on August 14, 2025, at 2 p.m. He refused to make me a Diesel (Coke with beer), saying that they hadn't made it for 23 years. Colaweizen and shandy, however, were no problem. The service was very friendly and tried very hard to please me. She deserves 5 stars.

Good atmosphere, delicious food

It was a bit noisy, and we waited a bit longer for service because we were sitting in the back corner. The waiter was super friendly and personable, though. The food was absolutely delicious, but some of the portions were really large. I would order the salad dressing on the side, as the salad sometimes gets wet.

We were there today – the restaurant was moderately busy. The staff seemed adequate, but they seemed either very new, untrained, or simply overwhelmed. Our drink orders were taken and served promptly, and everyone's food arrived at the same time – that was positive. Unfortunately, the service deteriorated significantly afterward: Our table was completely ignored, and follow-up orders were not possible. Plates were cleared one by one as soon as someone was finished, but everything was left standing at the end. No further service, no requests for coffee or dessert – a shame. Overall, the visit had potential, but the service unfortunately remains a major weakness.

We ate at Krokodil and were completely satisfied. The food was not only beautifully presented, but also tasted really good. The burgers were fresh, juicy, and generously topped. We were particularly impressed by the various side dishes: the wedges and sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just right. The salad was also fresh and lovingly prepared—not your typical side salad, but one that was really made with some effort. The portions are generous; you'll definitely be full. Drinks arrived quickly and chilled, and the service was attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive, as well as very personable. Overall, a pleasant atmosphere, good food, and good value for money. A place I'd happily recommend.

Place looks cozy and the overall visual is nice but having the AC turned off in summer when its 35° outside is not ideal. The food was fairly overpriced in my opinion especially when considering the quality wasnt there i.e. I ordered a teriyaki noodle bowl which was mostly noodles like the ones found in instant ramen soup packages (which was most likely the case), a bit of frozen packaged veggies and a little piece of chicken which i wouldnt say was fresh either. Overall dissapointment +1 star for great staff

Keine frei Platz Wahl…. Wollte die Räder nur gerne im Auge behalten…. Getränke teuer…. Werde ich für immer streichen und werde es jedem erzählen…. Auch die es nicht interessiert. Service hatte irgendwie auch keine sehr große Lust zu arbeiten…. Es wäre sonst soweit zu gehen…..

Terrible!!! We were there last Sunday (June 1, 2025) with four people. It was quiet, and the staff couldn't manage to serve the ordered food at the same time... We had to wait over half an hour longer for the missing dish to be brought to our table (and that was only after we asked!), even after everyone else had already finished eating. Apart from a "sorry," nothing came, not even a coffee or dessert as an apology... Plus, the food was cold when it was served... No other words, except "very sad" and "waste of time."

A few days ago, we ate at the Krokodil in Rottenburg after a long absence. And as a Rottenburg resident, I absolutely have to mention one thing. For the first time in such a long time, we were served by a lady who was so pleasant, friendly, and very professional in her manner. The recommendations she gave us were also simply fantastic; we were very impressed by this lady named "Jenn." That's why we'll be happy to come back. Best regards to the Krokodil team.

We are regulars at the Krok in Rottenburg. We have been very satisfied so far. Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly. We only noticed it at breakfast. But the food in the evening is no longer satisfactory either. Yesterday we had dried tomatoes in our salad, the food was cold and didn't taste the same as before. The lady at the next table with whom I started talking had rotten cocktail tomatoes in her salad, which she also showed me. Despite the complaint, the full amount had to be paid.

The food was very tasty and the waitresses were quick. We were there on Easter Sunday. It was very busy, but the food came quickly.

This evening the five of us including the baby were there for dinner. The service and also the food were really great. Our little daughter was also offered a blanket and we felt very well looked after. Huge thanks go to dear Nathalie!! She provided great service and is friendly, funny, hard-working and does everything for a satisfied customer!! Thank you for the lovely evening!! Keep it up and see you next time!

Just tell me what it was like on April 12th, 2025. I - (we) - were there from around 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. We were a group of about 10 people. A colleague booked a table. Everything worked out great. The service was friendly, quick and, above all, no question or request was too much. People even understood me as a Saarlander. The food was excellent and the prices were also reasonable. I say, nothing more is possible. Paying separately for each guest was absolutely no problem for the service. She kept an overview and was very relaxed and friendly. Nice restaurant, friendly service staff

My absolute favorite shop, I love the atmosphere there... the breakfast and the peace and quiet that you deserve with first-class service.

We had dinner at Krok today. We were actually really looking forward to it because it was always good before. The restaurant was moderately busy, a waitress came relatively quickly to take the drinks. The drinks came quickly and we ordered food. My husband took an appetizer salad and the croc grill plate, I took the mixed American food. So far so good. The food came quickly and things only went downhill from there. We had food, but no cutlery. When we were given cutlery when we asked, we asked about the starter salad. It was forgotten and brought later. I then asked where the sauces for my meal were. These were also forgotten. When we were finally able to eat, I wasn't actually hungry anymore. Everything was carelessly thrown onto the plate. The fries were almost cold and soggy and didn't even have any salt on them. The spare ribs were tough. There were slices of calapenos in the BBQ sauce, but there was no mention anywhere that the sauce was spicy. My husband's gyro was also tough and the chicken was dry. We didn't even eat half of it. When we asked why the BBQ was spicy and with calapeno slices, the waitress couldn't help us (I'm not allowed to eat calapenos). He wanted to call the manager. He went into the kitchen and the manager was visibly in denial. The waitress said he wasn't there right now. How could he talk to the manager? Apparently he called him. He hadn't had a phone to his ear and we had seen the manager hiding. We now had to pay 62 euros for this, we had water and a small friend and were able to drive home hungry. I will never set foot in this restaurant again and I certainly won't recommend it to others. Pure disappointment.

It's become very expensive and I think the quality is declining. But it has to be said that the last time we were in the Krokodil was two years ago. Dessert was done - lava cake - but was made again in the kitchen upon request. It's just stupid when you're the only one eating dessert among all the guests because everyone else has already finished eating and then you just start. I thought the burger was small and would have liked it to be bigger given the price. It wasn't anything special either. Too bad.

Good restaurant. The food is good, but not cheap either. Salads now also up to €19. Unfortunately, when we were there, some things on the menu weren't available. The drinks are also rather expensive (0.4 for 5€). Value for money a bit too expensive for what you have, but it tastes good. Interior design is a bit more old-fashioned. Bright winter garden is beautiful. But it could also be modernized a bit. Service was great, but there wasn't much going on.

Disappointed and empty wallet after visiting Krok. We won't come back and won't recommend the Krok. There really wasn't much going on and we had been sitting for at least 10-15 minutes, hadn't had the menu in our hands for a few minutes and were trying to make eye contact with the waitress. But she was very busy clearing and cleaning all the neighboring tables. The other waitresses didn't really have anything to do either. At some point someone came. I ordered an oriental bowl with vegan dip for 17 euros. Proud price for a vegetarian dish, you can expect something. Unfortunately, I had to smile when the product arrived. The vegetables on top were all ready-made vegetables, nothing nicely decorated or seasoned, just laid dry on top. I really had to look for the sauce on this dish (I then ordered an additional sauce). The taste was okay. I then noticed that the red cabbage, which was simply placed dry on top, was old and rotten. My mother then showed this to the waitress. Then another lady came and apologized. People have probably often complained about the red cabbage, but the boss wanted it that way, the red cabbage came ready-cut and unfortunately nothing could be done about its appearance. Our suggestion was to change the dish and serve it without red cabbage or not at all. Unfortunately that wouldn't work. Strange. For €17, I expect a vegetarian dish to be fresh, delicious and not a warmed-up, old, ready-made dish. We were then promised hot chocolate on the house as compensation. Anyway. The big hit came at the end, when we wanted to pay, my mother reminded us again that the hot chocolate was on the house, the waitress confirmed this and we were then surprised at the high amount. My mother asked for the bill, whereupon the waitress disappeared into the kitchen and came back and said that she had accidentally paid for the chocolate :D so if I were my mother I wouldn't have given a tip. I have often served at village festivals myself, but I have rarely experienced such poor service. Are you not trained here? The waitresses didn't come once, didn't ask if everything was okay, didn't look into the room or make eye contact with the guests. There was really little going on for us! When we wanted to pay, we called after her as she was at the next table, but she didn't hear us. I then went to the counter myself and asked if we could pay. There are so many jobs where there are no tips, but where people clearly deserve more than the waitresses at Krok. Sorry, but that was nothing. 42€ for a bowl, a soup, two juice spritzers and a cappuccino is just a lot of money. We won't come anymore. This can be done much better elsewhere and cheaper too.

The furnishings are a bit outdated. Could use a renovation. We were there on Saturday and the place was moderately busy. However, we had to wait about 15 minutes for the waitress to take our order. Food wasn't that great. Saturday is probably schnitzel day. We ordered that too. Schnitzel was quite ok. The fries were bad, we said this to the waitress, then the chef said he could go home and then we could make it ourselves. Well, not everyone can tolerate criticism. The waitress then brought us ketchup and mayo to make it taste a little more pleasant. The side salad consisted of leaf lettuce and 5 corn kernels. When ordering, two salads were offered to choose from: a special salad consisting only of leaf lettuce or a mixed side salad with various salads. We paid 60 euros for 2x schnitzel with salad and drink. Too expensive for the poor quality food. This was our first and last visit to this restaurant.

Yesterday we were at the Krokodil in Rottenburg for the first time in a long time. We had reserved a table for 5 p.m. unfortunately the waitresses didn't think it was necessary to come to the table to take the order. When I went to the counter after 30 minutes to say we would like to order then someone came to take the order, sorry if there had been no table reserved I would have got up and left after 5 minutes, the shop was very poorly attended and guests who came after us were served before us, something like that doesn't work at all, if the shop is empty the guests aren't served and people could see that we were there.

Went there again after a very long time, the food was delicious and so was the service staff Thank you very much for a lovely evening The service is still top and friendly but unfortunately the quality of the food has decreased massively, the fries were cold and mushy, the cordon bleu was quite bland and tasted like frozen goods. What I found really sad was the fact that despite making two complaints, I didn't get any further response. The service person apologized and it was true. For €23 you can and should expect a different quality.

We were here for breakfast. The ambience inside is rather dark and oppressive if you want to have breakfast. We sat outside with our dog, but we were allowed to take it inside with us. Very nice staff. Food was delicious, but has become less and more expensive over the years.

We ordered two burgers and one fries to pick up. Everything went great and we were able to pick up the food after just 15 minutes. Burgers and fries tasted wonderful! But unfortunately after a few bites of my Sunny Burger I noticed a bad taste in the middle. I didn't think anything of it at first and continued eating but the taste wouldn't go away. I then tried the individual parts of the burger and found out that it was the vegetable patty. Unfortunately, this tasted very rancid and somewhat moldy in the middle. I sorted it out and finished eating it without the patty. Both burgers were really tasty and the quick service was also a plus point. It was just a shame that I had to throw out the vegetable patty (which is actually the heart of a burger) halfway through because it just tasted bad from then on.

Full, loud, cramped and dark inside with no windows. Half a zoo on the menu and the Christmas menu was practically meat. Not a single vegetarian or vegan soup, not even tomato soup. Oat milk cappuccino is absurdly expensive at 5.40. Generally completely overpriced. Service friendly. Still won't come back.

The four of us were at the Krok again. Saturday is schnitzel day. As always, we were served quickly and friendly and received our delicious schnitzel with fries or potato salad. The mushroom cream sauce was a highlight. Always my pleasure!!

There’s something on the menu for everyone, which makes it an ideal spot to gather with friends or family. One of the standout features of this restaurant is its fantastic opening hours. They cater to various schedules, allowing you to enjoy a meal whenever it suits you best. Additionally, the staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall positive experience. However, I do have to mention one downside that has been bothering me: the salads seem to be getting smaller while also becoming more expensive. It's a bit disappointing because they were once a highlight of my visits. Despite this minor issue, the food remains truly delicious and worth trying. For those driving in, you’ll be pleased to know that there are parking spaces conveniently located right in front of the restaurant. Plus, they accept card payments, making transactions smooth and easy.

We were served by “Ingra” - incredibly unfriendly and unprofessional. Right from the start we were looked at askance as to whether we had reserved… The restaurant was completely empty except for two tables. Even during the course of the visit, the restaurant didn't fill up any further. When I asked whether the double cheeseburger had double paddy or double cheese, I was literally laughed at and laughed at for this “stupid question”. The burger is of course with double cheese. Was the answer. Tadaaaa what happened? Double paddy…. We had 4 cutlery for 5 people and had to ask for everything else. Food was great :)

The first suggestion when it comes to where to eat is always crocodile. Yes, of course we have tried other things, but we always come back to the fantastic restaurant in Rottenburg! With a very large menu, several seating options and great service, I enjoy every second I spend there. The food is not too expensive, the toilets are clean and the staff is very nice. And as if that wasn't enough, there is also the basement where there are several billiard tables, some slot machines and a table football table. It is also possible to book only for this part of the restaurant. It always works fantastically, reliably and friendly. All in all a 10/10 for an evening with family or friends. Highly recommended!

Apparently it has been renovated since my last visit, which was several years ago. Now much brighter and friendlier. Food, onion roast, was great and not a micro portion either!

Food is okay but nothing special. Quality at best mediocre. I think it's too expensive for what's on offer.

Large parking lot with a split, very nice to look at, rooms with lots of niches and a nice welcome, was there on a Saturday with a friend, noticed the daily specials menu; But we decided on the mixed platters, my friend was very happy with the expensive one, I had the small one with only finger food on it, it was very french-heavy and the chickemwings were killed twice, deep black on the outside and hard, but were edible Inside, otherwise everything was top, including the presentation. The young trainee dropped one of our drinks while stopping at the other table. It took a good 20 minutes for a replacement to arrive (the time from the drop to the replacement at our table (seen by chance but no indication of delay due to the aforementioned incident). The trainee also wasn't communicative when he put down the first drink before umm, he only said mango, but my friend also had mango, the other one had no alcohol, it would have been nice to be able to ask which one it was. The experienced colleague (clean plaster on forehead) was very service-oriented, when she had time it wasn't easy for her but she gave her best and even more, big praise to her, so full marks because I don't rate trainees, they just have to learn it first . !!To the boss/*: the lady deserves a raise, or they are hiring someone else so that the trainee can learn. !!! Trainee is not a full-time worker!!!! In any case, your prices are based on the portion ratio of side dishes/meat/price ratio!

We were there and ate very tasty roast roast. The service was very friendly and checked at the table at regular intervals to make sure everything was OK. Can only recommend the crocodile.

Super friendly service but the food is not good at all. Cordon Bleu Schnitzel is not easy to make, I admit, but if it's on the menu it should be doable. Sent back twice during one visit because it wasn't through. As an excuse the chef was new. No problem, but then you adapt the card to your needs. Sausage salad is also not recommended, no broth, oily and above all, for this money there should not only be a huge lettuce leaf on it and not a mass of onions but what you ordered, namely sausage salad.

The four of us spontaneously had dinner at Krokodil on Saturday evening as we had friends from northern Germany visiting. We wanted to give a little insight into “Swabian food”. We were all absolutely thrilled. We then had the Zrschwabian roast beef and the fillet pan to eat. It was all very tasty. The service was also very friendly and nice. We'd love to come back. What else needs to be said is that you can also play darts or billiards with friends in the basement to spend a nice time in the evening.

A huge difference to the service that serves outside on the terrace and that now serves inside. On top of everything, long waiting times. Even if you complain at the counter that you want to pay, no one comes for a long time.
