Very good food and friendly service

Apparently it has been renovated since my last visit, which was several years ago. Now much brighter and friendlier. Food, onion roast, was great and not a micro portion either!

Large parking lot with a split, very nice to look at, rooms with lots of niches and a nice welcome, was there on a Saturday with a friend, noticed the daily specials menu; But we decided on the mixed platters, my friend was very happy with the expensive one, I had the small one with only finger food on it, it was very french-heavy and the chickemwings were killed twice, deep black on the outside and hard, but were edible Inside, otherwise everything was top, including the presentation. The young trainee dropped one of our drinks while stopping at the other table. It took a good 20 minutes for a replacement to arrive (the time from the drop to the replacement at our table (seen by chance but no indication of delay due to the aforementioned incident). The trainee also wasn't communicative when he put down the first drink before umm, he only said mango, but my friend also had mango, the other one had no alcohol, it would have been nice to be able to ask which one it was. The experienced colleague (clean plaster on forehead) was very service-oriented, when she had time it wasn't easy for her but she gave her best and even more, big praise to her, so full marks because I don't rate trainees, they just have to learn it first . !!To the boss/*: the lady deserves a raise, or they are hiring someone else so that the trainee can learn. !!! Trainee is not a full-time worker!!!! In any case, your prices are based on the portion ratio of side dishes/meat/price ratio!

We were there and ate very tasty roast roast. The service was very friendly and checked at the table at regular intervals to make sure everything was OK. Can only recommend the crocodile.

Super friendly service but the food is not good at all. Cordon Bleu Schnitzel is not easy to make, I admit, but if it's on the menu it should be doable. Sent back twice during one visit because it wasn't through. As an excuse the chef was new. No problem, but then you adapt the card to your needs. Sausage salad is also not recommended, no broth, oily and above all, for this money there should not only be a huge lettuce leaf on it and not a mass of onions but what you ordered, namely sausage salad.

The four of us spontaneously had dinner at Krokodil on Saturday evening as we had friends from northern Germany visiting. We wanted to give a little insight into “Swabian food”. We were all absolutely thrilled. We then had the Zrschwabian roast beef and the fillet pan to eat. It was all very tasty. The service was also very friendly and nice. We'd love to come back. What else needs to be said is that you can also play darts or billiards with friends in the basement to spend a nice time in the evening.

A huge difference to the service that serves outside on the terrace and that now serves inside. On top of everything, long waiting times. Even if you complain at the counter that you want to pay, no one comes for a long time.

Lots of space outside or inside, large parking lot. Service is top, if something goes wrong it is taken care of immediately.

Da wir öfter vorbeigefahren sind und es Nett und Bodenständig aussah dachten wir das wir das Krokodil mal testen. Reservieren war Problemlos möglich, Parkplätze gibt es auch viele. Uns wurde dann ein Tisch zugewiesen, die Atmosphäre und Deko in diesem „Wintergarten“ ist eher dezent, die Tische lieblos und dazu eher Gartenstühle statt Resturant. Der Gegensatz dazu sind die Preise, Salate 18 Euro, Bowls 20 Euro. Ein Burger mit Dip und Süßkartoffel Pommes kostet fast 20 Euro. Die Beilagen Portion ist klein und die Pommes schmecken wirklich lätschig und fade. Getränke kosten entsprechend auch richtig viel. Zusätzlich werden während man isst um einen rum Tische und Stühle hin und her gebaut, die 2er Tische stehen teilweise so eng das man sich nicht unterhalten kann da die anderen nur 20cm entfernt sitzen. Die Bedienung ist zwar freundlich aber wirkt gestresst, wundert mich nicht da sie scheinbar alleine zig Tische bedienen musste. Prinzipiell ist es nicht schlecht aber der Preis passt nicht zu dem was geboten wird. Wir würden vielleicht wieder zum Tagesessen kommen, da ist es deutlich günstiger. Aber so würde ich es nicht empfehlen können.

Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly. I had dinner at Krokodil with two friends. One of my friends ordered a pulled pork burger where the meat was literally charred/black. After we complained about the burger, the waitress took it away and brought it back shortly after. The charred meat was simply scraped off the burger without putting any fresh meat on it, so there was hardly any meat left on the burger. Only after another complaint was the burger prepared again. In the punch, the chickpeas were not cooked properly and were firm. Unfortunately the punch bowl was mostly filled with rice.

I often come to the Krokodil for breakfast, I like to drive a further distance for it, I haven't been there for a while now. Yesterday I was there again for breakfast, breakfast was great 👍 the bowl, salmon with poached egg, pancakes etc.. without exception perfect 👌 But the service, at least the two ladies who served us, was totally listless and felt annoyed, I've never experienced that before. If you don't feel like working, please make room for others. We arrived and were greeted with a gruff good morning from the older lady, just because we said hello first. I honor and overlook a lot of things, but something like that is listless, no smile, nothing is not honored. First time I can remember leaving without tipping. I usually round up at least €1, but not this time. I've never felt so out of place and I'm sure I won't be back!!!! It's a shame actually...

Die Krokodil Hochzeiten sind vorbei. Der Salat für 17.95 Euro mit wenigen Shrimps war mehr als mickrig, Preis Leistung null, früher waren das noch Salatschüsseln..jetzt kann man ihn suchen in der großen Schüssel. Das Rigartoni al Forno pfurztrocken....keine Soße...Preise Gross ,Essen klein...leider, leider

Very nicely done, comfortable seats and a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the waitress didn't come to the table after we finished drinking. Then I went in to pay. There were also a lot of wasps outside, so we wanted to leave quickly.

The employees are very nice, friendly and helpful. Even during peak times, the employees are relaxed. The food tastes very good, it is freshly prepared and the portions are also ok. The prices are consistent with the current situations. There is a lot of outside area and the inside area is also very spacious, The toilets are in the basement, unfortunately not accessible with a wheelchair. There are a lot of parking spaces in front of the house, access to the restaurant and the restaurant itself is barrier-free, although there are a few steps in the restaurant.

A nice place to hang out with friends. Good food. There is a game room in the basement where you can play pool and darts and many other things. Definitely a must visit place.

I lived in Rottenburg for a while and was only now in the Krokodil. It's a shame because I missed something. The atmosphere is great, pub inside, more of a beach bar outside. In addition to toilets, there are billiard tables and other gaming options downstairs. The food is good, the menu is broad and there is something for everyone. My fries were a bit weak for me, but that's a matter of taste... I will gladly come again.

I am very very disappointed and will probably not come back. None of the three waitresses had any idea what they were doing at any time. The “fried” Maultaschen we ordered came to the table slippery, mushy and drowned in onions. It tasted like it was frozen and thawed. We originally wanted to order dessert, but then decided against it. I had stomach pain.

What was a short “pit stop” on our bike tour turned into a longer stay ;-) the lasagne we ordered was extremely tasty and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back. A few seat cushions outside would be great

I haven't been to the Rottenburger Krokodil since the 90s. In terms of furnishings, not much seems to have changed. The cocktails were good, there's nothing to say 🍹 There is a deduction for the service: My order was accepted in a friendly manner, then the young woman disappeared without a word 🤷‍♂️ After the drinks came we were overlooked for the rest of the evening. It was a Sunday evening and there was almost nothing going on. What was a bit awkward was that all the tables around us were cleaned with harsh cleaning agents during our visit. Commendable effort, but it was definitely the wrong time. Probably really bad timing on our part, so I don't want to deduct any more stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ich hatte Mozzarella Fries bestellt. Für den Dip musste ich 2 Euro zusätzlich zahlen. Mir wurden die industriell hergestellten Fries in einer kleinen Portion überbracht. Das war es nicht wert!

The quality of the products served was OK. However, you would be disappointed for the selling price. Comparable restaurants are either cheaper or have better quality products. Perhaps it is better in the long term to reduce the product variety and instead focus on higher product quality.

Super friendly service, the bowls are very tasty and well prepared, I drank "Strawberry Lime", I could have fooled myself, outside where I was sitting the ambience wasn't that overwhelming, it was just like being in a beer garden, but it is It's even nicer inside, e.g. a cool red British telephone box as a coat rack: great idea! We arrived late at night. We got a nice place straight away without registering and that on Saturday evening. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The food is awesome. Really delicious. The portions are really big. I'm happy to travel almost an hour to get there. I'd love to come back

First of all: we weren't here to eat. What we saw on other plates looked very fine. We came here to play pool and have a drink. The games/billiards/darts room is unfortunately treated quite neglected. It's pitch black, a bit "smoky" with the smeared walls and it smells like old, cold smoke... there's not even a bit of background noise or anything like that. I can live with all of that, but the pool tables are in a dilapidated state! The fabric is torn and has holes in it, the boards can only be described as curves at best, the lamps could be better. Even a few of the balls have flaws. I can't judge cues, we have our own. It's a shame and also unreasonable for the prices. The restaurant area upstairs looks completely different. Clean and groomed. The service was ok!

Sit comfortably, preferably outside on the terrace, and enjoy extremely delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. The menu offers a lot of variety and there is something for every taste. If you want to spend a little more time, you can choose from the pool table or the vending machines indoors. Nothing stands in the way of a lovely evening in company.

Unfortunately the fries were a bit weak, the burger was good. Incompatibilities are only partially known, but requests were implemented immediately.

Food, ambience, service, everything was good. The website is just pretty crappy. You cannot copy or print the weekly meal plan. We don't know whether this can be done via Facebook. We hate Facebook. It's not very customer friendly.

We always love going to the Krok in Rottenburg. The service is good and there is a wide selection of food, drinks, cocktails and dessert. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately we already had beetles, worms, hair and today also a snail shell in the salad. The staff didn't charge us for the meal and were very apologetic. According to the boss, we always win the lottery. Well, it's a shame, maybe we're actually unlucky or the hygiene in the kitchen is poor.

Nowadays, charging an extra €1.50 for oat milk is a disgrace. Food was OK.

To charge €17.40 for a Caeser salad for a little green salad, 4 small pieces of chicken and a little parmesan is pretty cheeky. The taste wasn't that special either. Krok in Rottenburg was much better off in terms of taste back then. I've often had burnt burgers and dried-out meat. Just go to Mössingen :)

It took a while to settle the bill, with 15 people there were two drinks in the end that were supposedly not paid for 😕 which was not the case from our side.

I used to enjoy eating at Krok sometimes and often, but today was the last time. Prices are only going in one direction, and that is up. Now you might think everything is getting more expensive, but this is just exaggerating. A heartless bowl for over €15? What's in there? 90% cheap rice, 1/4 cucumber cut into 4 pieces, a bit of carrots a bit of green beans? A few falafel balls that come from the frozen food department and the most expensive thing in there is probably a small handful of avocado. Even in Tübingen at the dining room, which is in the middle of the HotSpot, a large bowl costs €8 and you can put it together yourself. And the numbers also include energy, rent, staff, etc. And that also applies to all other dishes, not just the bowl. You can't complain about the service and ambience, of course you pay for it, but that's completely disproportionate. After years of crocs, that was it, and friends and acquaintances feel the same way.

The food is mostly very good. I think the desserts are overpriced, the apple tiramisu is nothing special at over €9. Otherwise I like to eat here, fast and friendly service.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Burgerpattie war ein bisschen zuuu durch. Ansonsten mega lecker Unser Besuch war zwischen den Jahren. Es war dementsprechend voll und wir mussten zum bestellen und später zum zahlen relativ lange warten. Personal war trotz der vielen Gäste sehr freundlich und bemüht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Leider hat die Qualität stark nachgelassen, der Service ist nach wie vor gut, aber das Essen ist nicht mehr so, wie es war. Schwach gewürztes Gyros, Hamburger Bun und Fleisch zu hart und trocken. Schade, wir sind immer gerne da gewesen, aber in der nächsten Zeit nicht mehr, sorry 😔

Bin regelmäßig hier 😁 Sind meistens auch sehr zufrieden. Essen beim Mittagstisch kommt sehr schnell und ist preiswert. Auf der normalen Karte sind die Preise leider sehr stark gestiegen 💰 Man bekommt hier sehr viele unterschiedliche Gerichte. Ich hatte schon Pasta 🍝, Burger 🍔, Salate 🥗,... Auch die Cocktails sind empfehlenswert. Geschmacklich ist es meistens sehr gut 🤤 Ambietente lädt sowohl drinnen und draußen zum verweilen ein 🤗

Essen okay Preise zu hoch. War mal besser

Essen war in Ordnung. Leider war meine Portion relativ klein aber genießbar. Ein Zuschlag von 1,50€ auf Hafermilch finde ich ein bisschen zu hoch gegriffen. Ich wollte mit meinem Gutschein bezahlen, dieser wurde leider nicht akzeptiert weil er älter als 1 Jahr alt war. Da finde ich dass ein bisschen Kulanz von Seiten der Service-Kräfte angebracht wäre.

Mein letzter Besuch war im Sommer. Der Service war furchtbar langsam und schlecht. Gegen die vielen Wespen hat niemand was gemacht. Das Essen ok aber nichts besonderes. Die Lage im Gewerbegebiet ist nicht ideal, dafür parkt man aber gut und nah.

Ein sehr gängiges Lokal mit grosser Speisevielfalt nettem Personal und ein riesiger Parkplatz.Sehr zu empfehlen.Gruss Micha
