Kreta in Minden

We went there first for bowling, then for dinner. The food was good and plentiful at a reasonable price, and the drink prices were normal. We'd go back anytime.

The food was always very good when we ate there. The staff was also always very courteous. Top!

Expensive. Burger joint doesn't cater to customer requests. Burger patties aren't cooked through on the inside.

We went bowling on August 31st (3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.) followed by dinner. Bowling alley: Very old. Some of the displays aren't working anymore (displays above the lanes - right lane no longer has a "green light") - but it works. - No problems. Drinks on the bowling alley are supplied automatically via the refrigerator above the stairs (1L bottles of soft drinks, beer, malt beer, etc.). Glasses are available at the bowling alley. - Special orders (coffee, etc.) are possible at any time. It was totally fine. Atmosphere: Afterward, we ate upstairs with 14 people. There are walls in the restaurant to separate the area. While they look nice, they do significantly restrict the space. I (1.97 m) couldn't sit opposite a short person. There are other seats without walls, though. My opinion: "Get rid of the walls." - Unnecessary. - Instead, Greek pictures on the walls. Food: I had number 53: Georgios Plate crispy gristeaks baked in the house style - €18.00 It came with a small salad beforehand. I found the portion to be quite small. But it was undoubtedly very tasty. I didn't find any crispy grilled steaks in the (albeit delicious) sauce. There were three small, thin pork steaks hidden in it. The Cretan potatoes were also very thin, undercooked, and not filling. Broccoli: 1 floret I ate my fill 4-5 times with the accompanying bread (fresh - very good) and the leftover sauce. I was really on the limit in terms of filling. In conclusion: Maybe the portion sizes should be reconsidered, to see if anyone can get full from it?

Best Greek restaurant in Minden. We went there for the first time today and we're thrilled! We know several similar restaurants in Minden and the surrounding area, but this one tops them all. We went there with some apprehension, as there have been some negative reviews recently. All our worries were put to rest! Food: very tender. Gyros without fat or grit. We've had them often at other places! Even the fries and rice: very tasty! Salad: top-notch! I'd love the recipe for the dressing! Tzatziki: delicious! Service: always polite and attentive! Ambience: well-groomed and not too loud! So, in conclusion, my conclusion: If you keep up the quality of the food and don't let up with the service, you'll definitely be our regular Greek restaurant 👍 We're already looking forward to the next time! P.S.: Anyone who has something to complain about should make pan-fried gyros at home! Was there again today!? Top, top, top! The food is good, and I think the price is reasonable. The service was a bit slow at times (or rather, very busy). The interior design was very nice (traditional Greek), but the air was a bit stuffy, but still bearable.

The food was good and plentiful. Unfortunately, they forgot/misplaced our order, so we, with a small child, didn't get the appetizers until about an hour later. The kids' meal arrived later, so our child was already full from the bread and salad from the appetizers.

A fantastic evening at Restaurant Kreta in Minden! We visited Restaurant Kreta with three adults and two kids over the weekend – and it was simply fantastic! We received a super friendly welcome as soon as we walked in, and the service was truly attentive and warm throughout the evening. Totally child-friendly, which is a huge plus for us. The food? Absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and truly authentic – you can simply taste the love that goes into the cooking. The kids loved it too (and that's saying something 😉). The drinks were well chilled and went perfectly with the food. Overall, it was a really lovely, relaxed evening with a great atmosphere. You immediately feel at home – as if you were visiting friends. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend Kreta! Thanks to the whole team – you're doing a fantastic job!

A somewhat dated restaurant. The food was delicious and the service friendly. We went bowling with 10 children. The lane is a bit older, but it was perfect for a group of wild kids!

It had always been my favorite restaurant... but today it was a complete disaster. There was a hair in my salad. And the best part was that I reported it to the waitress, and the waitress reacted so rudely and cheekily. Just because I pointed it out, the waitress was unfriendly to me afterwards. I have no idea what was going on; that was my last time there. You don't have to put up with that. You could still be polite!!!!

Excellent quality as always. Today is a holiday, so it's always busy and sometimes takes a little longer, but the quality is consistently good. The staff is also super friendly. I'm always happy to come back. #1 in Minden 👍

Order by phone, I can pick up the food in 90 minutes. After 15 minutes of waiting in the restaurant I was told that I didn't know when the food would be ready, "that's up to the chef to decide" and that was by far the worst service...

First of all, the food was very tasty, but the portion size was a bit too small for me. The space at the front tables is definitely too tight. Otherwise we would like to come back :-)

It was very disappointing at Crete, 1 hour wait for food, no free starter, our salads weren't available until asked for, the food was far too little, the children's plates were full, they weren't full either and there wasn't any uzo when paying and the liver was still bloody and probably ordered through, I won't go out to eat there again

Highly recommended! There were three of us there as a company and we had the Crete plate, the Athena plate, the Corinth plate and, for dessert, baklava with ice cream. Everything tasted very good, the portions were just right, and we were all well fed. The staff was friendly and took great care of us. It was a really good recommendation and we would love to come back.

The food was very tasty but the portions were quite small. We had a platter for two people and both of us weren't full afterwards, although my companion said she wasn't that hungry and asked if it was worth it for us. Service was very nice and asked at the right time whether we needed anything else (not too often that it was annoying but not too rarely that we died of thirst)

Unfortunately I can't rate anything because we were told at 9:15 p.m. that the kitchen would close at 9:30 p.m. and that's why there was nothing left to eat. I've had different experiences and we still got something.

Highly recommended. Food is very good. Whether gyros or pizza, there is something for everyone. The open pita is currently my favorite dish followed by gyro pizza. The service was very friendly. You can sit very well inside and outside. Children are also welcome here. If you don't want to go or can't go, you can also have something brought to you.

Food was tasty, portions a bit small. The price is cheaper compared to other local ones. 2x food and 2x drinks around €40 together. Unfortunately, it happened again that certain dishes could no longer be prepared that evening because the meat had already run out, and the popular Greek beer “Mythos” was also not in stock. We celebrated a birthday in private at the bowling alley. Unfortunately, we were abruptly checked in at 10 p.m. and told that the restaurant was now closing. That was very unfortunate. It would have been nice if this had been communicated beforehand, as the opening times were also advertised differently. Payment only in CASH (you should definitely take this into account before your visit); not up to date anymore. Unfortunately, we were often forgotten by the service and were left with empty glasses. The food was okay, the price-performance ratio is ok here. The air and the ambience in the basement is also difficult, it quickly became very humid and stuffy, and it was impossible to ventilate. I would visit a different bowling alley next time.

After we had been sitting there for 30 minutes and then asked if we could order something to drink, someone came. Food was delicious. There were 8 of us there and it was inevitable that it would be a little louder. We laughed a lot and were then warned to be a little quieter. The other guests had already complained. It doesn't work at all.

Went for dinner and then bowling 🎳, it was a nice and nice evening with colleagues.

The portions are adequate, as are the prices! The meat in the sauce was tender and delicious, I didn’t even have time to take a photo, we ate it all right away 😊

Probably the worst Greek food I have ever tasted. The Saganaki was obviously bought frozen as were the croquette potatoes. The octopus was barely recognisable as such, more like octopus mince meat. The tzatziki was truly awful, it tasted like it was made with mayonnaise instead of yoghurt and contained no mint, so was like garlic mayonnaise. The salad also had mayonnaise sauce pour over it. The Pork souvlaki was unbelievably tough and dry and stuck in my throat, probably pre cooked, stored in the fridge and reheated when ordered. The pork cutlet was slightly more tender than the souvlaki but for some reason again drizzled with some sort of salad cream and way too much salt, it was swimming in some kind of salty water at the bottom of the plate. The cutlet came with a 'Bearnaise sauce' that looked more like a prawn cocktail sauce being orangey pink in colour and tasted quite disgusting. Left alone outside after finishing our meal I went in search of a waitress to pay, I had to do this twice as they were busy chatting, after another 15 minutes the waitress came with the bill and pointed to a small sign on a wall in German saying basically, no credit debit cards, cash only. Fortunately we had some cash. If you think this food is nice you have clearly never been to Greece or had proper Greek food. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day at this place.

Were at Kreta Essen on June 7th, 2024 with 12 people. I can only recommend. Price/performance is right👍👍 One minus, unfortunately you can't pay by card. But that shouldn't deter anyone from having a leisurely meal in Crete.

Delicious. Best tzatziki in Minden. The waitresses are super nice and courteous. For years it has been the number 1 place to go when it comes to Greek food.

You can eat really well here and the team is really friendly :) There is also a bowling alley that we use regularly! The ambience is okay, one or two things might need to be renewed! But overall it's really great.

We went bowling with food. Even though all efforts were promising, somehow the service staff couldn't get me out. The bowling alley and the room are already very, very old. The room is damp, you can already feel it in the air. The will is there, you try to get rid of it visually with an air purifier device, but it's no use if it's on malfunction all the time. The food was nothing that special. I know these are difficult times at the moment, but right now every customer is already thinking about where should I spend the money and should I go there again. Sorry we don't anymore.

Our regular Greek for years! We visit this restaurant at least twice a year with our family and each time we are amazed by the outstanding quality of the food. The rustic ambience gives the whole thing a cozy atmosphere, although the background noise is sometimes a bit louder - but that adds to the authentic flair. A special highlight is the existing bowling alley, which provides additional fun. We highly recommend this Greek place for anyone looking for top quality food and a fun evening!

A really classic Greek with gyros, ouzo plates and the like in a classic Greek ambience. With many regular guests and friendly service. But best of all: the dishes taste really good.

We were invited to a birthday party. There was a buffet and it was very tasty. There was no service because the host did not employ staff. Everything worked very well.
