Kreta in Norden

A very nice Greek restaurant. It was our first time eating here and we weren't disappointed. As a precaution, we reserved 2 places and that was a good thing, we probably wouldn't have gotten a place spontaneously. The service was very friendly and attentive, the processes were quick and there were no long waiting times despite the restaurant being full. We liked the food very much and had no complaints, just as you would expect. If we're in the area again and want to eat out, we'll be happy to come back. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Very nice and quick staff. Our food was on the table about 10 minutes after ordering. Very tasty and good portions.

Strongly recommend the dish with small noodles and lamb! We also took the mixed antipasti and it was so refreshing and huge, more than enough for two people.

Were in Crete for the first time. Absolutely recommended, from the service to the food. You should definitely make a reservation by phone because Crete is really well attended. We would love to come back and look forward to the next time.

Large parking lot around the corner. Food was tasty, rich and good. It was served quickly. My daughter wanted the starter platter as the main course which wasn't a problem, that's what good service looks like. There was plenty of ouzo from the friendly staff. Ambience is fine, you feel comfortable. I will definitely eat there again.

Super tasty food with a great price/performance ratio - especially for a tourist place like Norden. The service is great - quick and friendly. The ambience is okay, but the "hall" a little further back is very cluttered with tables etc. This makes it seem a bit overcrowded and not so comfortable. But this is quickly made up for by the good food and the ouzo that is always on offer. 😊

Coke 0.4 for €5.50 is already a house number and then not even up to the calibration mark. +++Addendum 08.24+++ Then we were there again, Ordered 2x gyros gratinated with Metaxa sauce and 1x gyros. The gyros with Metaxa taste different than the one without. There wasn't Metaxa on the gyros everywhere, so it was easy to compare. The portions were rather small and therefore I think it was overpriced. The sauce doesn't really taste like Metaxa sauce, there's just very little on it. Unfortunately there is also very little cheese. Sorry but that was probably nothing 😞 Pictures say more than a thousand words. The food was great, the meat was soft and juicy with great roasted aromas. The gyro was nicely browned. The portions are more than sufficient. The price is reasonable. Facilities inside and out are simply great. The service is super friendly and also responds to requests. We'd love to come back☺️

Highly recommended, cozy atmosphere, service staff very attentive and friendly. Plus delicious food at more than affordable prices. We visited this restaurant as tourists and would like to come back at any time.

Wer gerne sehr gut griechisch essen geht, Gastfreundschaft schätzt und ein angenehmes Ambiente genießen möchte, der kommt am Kreta nicht vorbei. Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert über den Ouzo aufs Haus hinaus schmeckt alles grandios. Zartes Fleisch was dennoch knusprig ist, krosse Pommes und eine feine Metaxasoße. Sehr netter Service, Hunde erlaubt (drinnen und auf der wunderschönen Terrasse). Absolute Empfehlung!

Great Greek restaurant with a beer garden behind the house. We liked the friendly and attentive service as well as the classic Greek selection from the menu. The food was also very tasty and was accompanied by a free ouzo before and after. We felt very comfortable and will be happy to come back.

We had food delivered for two people last night. This was a platter for 2, two starters and two side dishes. Everything was high quality and very tasty. I thought we were good eaters so far, but we couldn't manage these large portions. That's why we're eating warmed up today and it's delicious, which I'm looking forward to. After this experience, I would order from Crete again at any time and can fully recommend the food. If you like cheese, you should definitely try Kritiko (baked cheese).

Ich war kürzlich mit Freunden hier. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich, der Aussenbereich top. Auch Hunde sind hier herzlich willkommen. Die Preise scheinen auf den ersten Blick etwas hoch, was sich aber schnell relativiert. Die Portionen waren wirklich sehr gross und lecker. Zudem war das Personal sehr nett und aufmerksam. Auch Ouzo "aufs Haus" gab es reichlich. Dieses Restaurant ist bei unserem Besuch in Norden ein Muss.

Went there many years ago but the quality has deteriorated a lot. Hellas is much better. The fries were hard.

Very attractive and hospitable restaurant. You will be welcomed warmly and shown to your seat with a smile. On weekends you should reserve in advance although if you arrive at opening time at 5pm they will try to offer you a spot. The service is on the ball and always with a smile. The selection of food is large and so are the portions. Special requests are of course taken into account. The little guests are also looked after lovingly. There are no long waiting times and these are shortened with an ouzo. We felt very comfortable. All in all, highly recommended for a nice end to the evening.

What a great restaurant... Ate and drank very well. Rarely have I had such a juicy and well-seasoned gyro. As a welcome you had the first ouzo, after which you were asked again and again if you would like another ouzo. We were thrilled with the service and the friendliness of the staff. The restaurant can be recommended without reservation. We'll definitely be back.

Cozy, good and plentiful! This is especially true for the free ouzo. When I was a guest there, it was done the way Köbes does with Kölsch in Cologne: when the glass is empty, more is poured straight away! Unfortunately, after the third ouzo I had to give up because I still had to drive :)

There is nothing to add to the previous 5 star reviews. The service in particular is excellent. Lots of international service staff who make your stay as pleasant as possible. Here you don't feel welcome but rather invited. Even our two dogs were treated like guests. Great, it doesn't get any better.

Good Greek, great menu, even vegetarians were thought of. Ouzo is constantly being refilled, crazy! It was fun with you and it was delicious. Thank you very much!

Come from the Sauerland. Come to Norddeich often. Then it's natural to visit the Crete restaurant in the north. Great class restaurant. There is the best sheep's cheese I know. Everything else is great too! The waitresses were very nice! Full 5 stars from me.!!!!! See you soon.

This is our second week in the north and we ate in this great restaurant almost every day. Will go there again and tomorrow on our last evening. Unfortunately, unfortunately. The food was and is fantastic, varied and the staff, including the boss, were nice and very hospitable. Very tasty food. Price performance was top. Had a platter for 2 people for 42 euros. Everything was on it including lamb chops. Large portion. We were offered Quzo for free three times. Dogs were welcome and immediately given water and a treat. Were there on vacation. otherwise this would be my regular place. Absolute recommendation.

We were made aware of this restaurant during our vacation in Norddeich. Nice service, the food is excellent! But be careful: if you drink the Ouzo glass at the beginning of your visit, the landlord will quickly give you a generous refill... ;-) Absolute recommendation!

This Greek restaurant is highly recommended. We were there with a stroller and were greeted in a very friendly manner and escorted to the table. The service staff were very friendly and helpful. The food is very deserving of the name Greek. As a starter we had tzatziki with bread, which was by far the tastiest tzatziki. The main course was a plate of various meats, rice and chips. Highly recommended.

Man findet viele vegetarische Optionen. Ein schöne Terrasse, freundliche Personal. Wir (2 Personen) haben 2x gegessen: das letzte mal mit ein grosses Salat und drei andere Vorspeisen dazu. Alles sehr lecker!

We have never had such good Greek food outside of Greece! As soon as we arrived we were allocated a seat in the great atmosphere of the restaurant. The reception and the entire service during the stay was super nice! Children are given a lot of attention and are included in many things. Every now and then someone came around and filled the glasses with ouzu. You immediately felt like you were on Crete, where this hospitality is always the order of the day! All that was missing was the raki, then the restaurant would have lived up to its name "Crete". 😉 To eat: I have never been served such freshly prepared Greek food in Germany! The gyros, suflaki and beef were very tender and well prepared. As well as the side dishes, salads, tzatziki and other dips/sauces and starters. If we lived here, this would probably be our regular restaurant. Unfortunately we live too far away and who knows when we'll be in the area again. But then we'll definitely come back! 😃 Addendum: Today we went to this great restaurant for the second time on our vacation. Like last time, everything was great and the waitresses were very friendly throughout! We'll be back as soon as we can get it set up.

Worth a trip every year on holiday...

We were there on summer vacation with our family and had dinner sitting on a beautiful terrace. Our dog was immediately provided with water and treats, something I have never experienced in a restaurant. The terrace is incredibly beautiful and the service is simply wonderful. The food is gigantic and the house wine is simply recommended. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to a successful evening.

The food was good but there was still room for improvement in terms of taste. The prices are a bit excessive. This also applies to the drinks. Coke 0.4 for 5 euros 50 (2 children and 4 cokes makes 22 euros). In our opinion, 120 euros for 4 people is far too expensive for a middle class restaurant.

We ate there for the second time today during our vacation. It really can only be recommended and I don't think I've ever eaten at a better Greek restaurant. The waiters and waitresses as well as the boss are very friendly and attentive. In general you feel very welcome here. The food tastes outstanding. Good evening dear Crete team, The food was once again very delicious and we don't need to talk about the service, just great. We, my father and I, often eat there, years ago as tourists and now as locals. We have visited many local ones, so we can already judge what is 5 stars and what is not. Definitely 5 stars here. I find the bad reviews here funny, as if you always show the same quality in your jobs... you just have to believe in it. Then the negative feedback here, instead of on the spot, is probably due to today's times. And opening a “keg” because of an improperly filled beer, sorry, there are no words. Das Essen und der Service entspricht den Rezessionen, die Grillgerichte sind lecker und auch wirklich reichlich. Es gibt vor, während und nach dem Essen einen Ouzo oder auch mehr. Der Service war aufmerksam und höflich, eine Tischreservierung ist zu empfehlen.

Reservation was unproblematic and actually not necessary. Very nice and attentive staff. The food and service left nothing to be desired. The prices are reasonable. We definitely chose the right restaurant.

Great Greek...good value for money...friendly service...

If I order a beer for €6 and the glass isn't filled to the mark, I don't think that's okay. When I complained, the waiter just said, I didn't do it and left. The food was average. All in all, I don't have to go there again. Thank you very much for the answer, you certainly have a measuring cup in the kitchen so you can measure that not 2cl but 7cl were missing. At a price of €6 for 500ml, that's the equivalent of 74 cents. Furthermore, all her waiter had to do was let the glass be refilled and everything would have been fine.
