A very friendly, family-run business. We stopped by spontaneously. They recommend reserving a table in advance. The food was incredibly delicious and the service was fantastic!

The food was nothing special. My grilled liver tasted more like a (partially burnt) shoe sole, and my companion's food was overly salted.

We had dinner with 8 people. The waitresses were all very friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a lovely evening. That worked too. The food was very rich and very, very tasty. Everyone was more than satisfied. I can only recommend Crete and we will be back. Thank you for the lovely evening

Unfortunately disappointed with the food... Salad was more cabbage than mixed... And the meat hardly tastes or burnt.

Our 4-year-old daughter received excellent care from the staff. We had a cozy evening and ate well. The portions were large and the staff was very attentive. We would have liked to order Greek beer (Mythos), but otherwise nothing was left to be desired.

We are a little disappointed with Crete, as we had heard a lot of good things. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and the food was served to us quickly. However, the taste was not such that we would come back again. The gyro gratinated in Metaxa sauce was only available with mushrooms (what do you do if you can't tolerate mushrooms? - we know it differently) and even when I looked for it, it wasn't a highlight in terms of taste. So overall, you can do it, but once is enough.

Have been to Norddeich for the 4th time. We ate the delicacies here twice. Even if it worked out again at short notice without a reservation. Everything is made possible. Everything was perfect again. The food tasted excellent. Friendly service. You didn't have to wait long for your food either. I would like to give it more than 5 stars. That's why we say EFHARISTO and ANTIO...... see you next time

We go to Norddeich every year. Then a visit to Restaurant Kreta is always a must. The food is great, the portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. I can recommend the Bifteki and the zuzuki. My children always eat a schnitzel.

We, four adults, went for dinner on Holy Saturday. Even though the restaurant was almost completely full, the food was on the table in just 15 minutes. Gyros, fillet and fish were a hit. Dogs are particularly welcome here. Our dog got a treat from the service. I have never experienced anything like this in any restaurant before. The staff should also be mentioned. Always attentive without being intrusive. All in all a lovely evening. Thank you for that.

Delicious food in a nice, modern atmosphere. All staff attentive, quick and friendly. The boss is very warm and sweet. The only thing we found was that the room temperature was a little too low. It was slightly cold.

I was at Kaufland Norden for renovations. After spontaneously booking a room, I wanted a bite to eat. Then I came across Kreta and thought... Oh, I'll go again. It was great... The meat was fresh and tender. The liver was just as it should be. I think the griller knows that, though. I've seen worse in my time as a promoter. I highly recommend it... TOP. And I'll definitely be back. Prices were totally reasonable, by the way.

Went to our favorite Greek restaurant again on Sunday. The food is top. The quality of the meat is unsurpassable and very plentiful. The price-performance ratio is unique. The service was super friendly and accommodating. We love the dark tapped Krombacher. Soon we'll go outside again to the garden terrace.

We were just eating at the Crete restaurant. The food was very, very good, the portions were huge and the prices could have been higher. The service was excellent. If it were possible, I would have given one more star.

Unfortunately we discovered this place too late. It always looked so dark. Now we enjoy the great food, it has become our favorite Greek.

Last Saturday (02/15/25) the four of us spontaneously went to Crete. Although the restaurant was very busy, we received the food we ordered from the absolutely friendly team within a very short time. The dishes were rich, deliciously prepared, the meat was tender, overall a poem. Every now and then someone came by to inquire about further requests or to offer us more ouzo. If there was one mistake that evening, it was that we might have been better off skipping the great appetizers. Two of us then "rolled to the car", the smarter ones had their leftovers packed up and enjoyed them the next day. We can really recommend Crete for a lovely evening!

We ordered takeaway food. Look friendly on the phone. With the words “You can pick up immediately” we then set off. Arrived...entered... Full house. Were greeted very friendly and asked to wait a moment. An ouzo was immediately delivered to the house. Just scheduled...food ready. The very nice lady checked whether everything was ok with the order. is. I then asked for debit card payment. The EC device was brought out including two Ouzo to go and a treat for our dog. Now about the food. Very, very tasty. We will definitely come back and can only recommend this great restaurant.

On February 1st, 2025 we had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Kreta and it was a thoroughly positive experience. We felt very welcome when we made the reservation at 5 p.m. for two people with a dog, which was made spontaneously and without any problems. The welcome was warm, and before we were even seated our dog was given a small, wrapped roll of meat - a loving gesture that we really appreciated! The food was excellent - generous portions, served quickly and at the same time. The taste was simply excellent and every bite was a delight. You can immediately tell that the cooking here is done with great attention to detail. The entire service was attentive and friendly, and we felt completely at home. We can only warmly recommend Restaurant Crete and will certainly come back!

Overall it was good and recommended. The food was totally fine for the price; Tasty, sufficient but nothing extraordinary. Prices for drinks may be a bit high but, well, where aren't they? But you could get more than one ouzo for free.

On our Norddeich holidays, an evening in Crete is always on the agenda. Same this year. Of course we made reservations in advance. Already from home. We know what's going on there. I have to say I liked it even more this year than in previous years. We had a platter for 2 people. The food came quickly, was hot and tasty. Of course also plenty. From a logistical point of view, Boss delivers top performance there. It was soooo full, unbelievable. The phone rang continuously. Nevertheless, we didn't have the impression that it wasn't working and that people were annoyed. This is not the case everywhere in Norddeich. We sat right at the counter and it was a pleasure to watch how everything was coordinated. Despite the stress, the waitresses were friendly, quick and precise. Well, the boss doesn't blabber around. He instructs and it just works. I don't know how you can tap wheat so quickly, maybe they were already tapped, I couldn't see that, but it was really good all around. We'd love to come back.

Na ja, gut ist anders, das Gyros war gut, alles andere sehr salzig. Von der Chefin wurde der Hinweis nicht ernst genommen, schade. Dafür mussten wir mehr Getränke bestellen.

Heute zu Silvester 24 zum Essen im Kreta gewesen. Mörderportion zu top Preisen. Das Gyros war erstklassig. Der gebackene Schafskäse zur Vorspeise super, hätte schon gereicht, zwinker. Zum Glück wurde Uzo immer nach geschenkt, wer gut schmier der gut fährt.

A very nice Greek restaurant. It was our first time eating here and we weren't disappointed. As a precaution, we reserved 2 places and that was a good thing, we probably wouldn't have gotten a place spontaneously. The service was very friendly and attentive, the processes were quick and there were no long waiting times despite the restaurant being full. Very nice and quick staff. Our food was on the table about 10 minutes after ordering. Very tasty and good portions.

Strongly recommend the dish with small noodles and lamb! We also took the mixed antipasti and it was so refreshing and huge, more than enough for two people.

Were in Crete for the first time. Absolutely recommended, from the service to the food. You should definitely make a reservation by phone because Crete is really well attended. We would love to come back and look forward to the next time.

Large parking lot around the corner. Food was tasty, rich and good. It was served quickly. My daughter wanted the starter platter as the main course which wasn't a problem, that's what good service looks like. There was plenty of ouzo from the friendly staff. Ambience is fine, you feel comfortable. I will definitely eat there again.

Super tasty food with a great price/performance ratio - especially for a tourist place like Norden. The service is great - quick and friendly. The ambience is okay, but the "hall" a little further back is very cluttered with tables etc. This makes it seem a bit overcrowded and not so comfortable. But this is quickly made up for by the good food and the ouzo that is always on offer. 😊

Coke 0.4 for €5.50 is already a house number and then not even up to the calibration mark. +++Addendum 08.24+++ Then we were there again, Ordered 2x gyros gratinated with Metaxa sauce and 1x gyros. The gyros with Metaxa taste different than the one without. There wasn't Metaxa on the gyros everywhere, so it was easy to compare. The portions were rather small and therefore I think it was overpriced. The sauce doesn't really taste like Metaxa sauce, there's just very little on it. Unfortunately there is also very little cheese. Sorry but that was probably nothing 😞 Pictures say more than a thousand words. The food was great, the meat was soft and juicy with great roasted aromas. The gyro was nicely browned. The portions are more than sufficient. The price is reasonable. Facilities inside and out are simply great. The service is super friendly and also responds to requests. We'd love to come back☺️

Wer gerne sehr gut griechisch essen geht, Gastfreundschaft schätzt und ein angenehmes Ambiente genießen möchte, der kommt am Kreta nicht vorbei. Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert über den Ouzo aufs Haus hinaus schmeckt alles grandios. Zartes Fleisch was dennoch knusprig ist, krosse Pommes und eine feine Metaxasoße. Sehr netter Service, Hunde erlaubt (drinnen und auf der wunderschönen Terrasse). Absolute Empfehlung!

Great Greek restaurant with a beer garden behind the house. We liked the friendly and attentive service as well as the classic Greek selection from the menu. The food was also very tasty and was accompanied by a free ouzo before and after. We felt very comfortable and will be happy to come back.

We had food delivered for two people last night. This was a platter for 2, two starters and two side dishes. Everything was high quality and very tasty. I thought we were good eaters so far, but we couldn't manage these large portions. That's why we're eating warmed up today and it's delicious, which I'm looking forward to. After this experience, I would order from Crete again at any time and can fully recommend the food. If you like cheese, you should definitely try Kritiko (baked cheese).

Ich war kürzlich mit Freunden hier. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich, der Aussenbereich top. Auch Hunde sind hier herzlich willkommen. Die Preise scheinen auf den ersten Blick etwas hoch, was sich aber schnell relativiert. Die Portionen waren wirklich sehr gross und lecker. Zudem war das Personal sehr nett und aufmerksam. Auch Ouzo "aufs Haus" gab es reichlich. Dieses Restaurant ist bei unserem Besuch in Norden ein Muss.

Went there many years ago but the quality has deteriorated a lot. Hellas is much better. The fries were hard.

Delicious food and good service

Very attractive and hospitable restaurant. You will be welcomed warmly and shown to your seat with a smile. On weekends you should reserve in advance although if you arrive at opening time at 5pm they will try to offer you a spot. The service is on the ball and always with a smile. The selection of food is large and so are the portions. Special requests are of course taken into account. The little guests are also looked after lovingly. There are no long waiting times and these are shortened with an ouzo. We felt very comfortable. All in all, highly recommended for a nice end to the evening.

What a great restaurant... Ate and drank very well. Rarely have I had such a juicy and well-seasoned gyro. As a welcome you had the first ouzo, after which you were asked again and again if you would like another ouzo. We were thrilled with the service and the friendliness of the staff. The restaurant can be recommended without reservation. We'll definitely be back.
