KRETA in Prenzlau

Four of us ate here today, and it was delicious! Very friendly and quick service, and a great atmosphere. We'd love to come back!

The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside. You immediately felt like you were in Greece. Anyone who has ever been to Greece knows what I'm talking about. The food was also delicious. The service was also very friendly. You get ouzo before and after your meal. It's what you'd expect from a good Greek restaurant. The only thing that bothered me were all the flies/fruit flies, which were a real nuisance while eating.

Positive: - Friendly service - Gyros was delicious, salad was fresh - The restaurant looks so great! A really nice ambiance. You feel like you're in Greece. - Before and after your meal, you get ouzo, which is nice and ice-cold and tastes great. Negative: - If you want to eat in peace, that's definitely not possible here. It's very loud in the restaurant. - After we got our food, at least 20 fruit flies came, which meant you couldn't eat undisturbed and had to be careful with every bite to avoid them. - The "mixed" salad was ridiculous to me. First, the salad plate was only half full, so there really wasn't much salad. Then, the salad was supposed to consist of leaf lettuce, coleslaw, and carrot salad with a dressing on top. Leaf lettuce made up most of the salad, with a little carrot salad and then really just a little bit of coleslaw. I was very disappointed personally. (But it still tasted delicious) - The fries weren't that good either - The Coke had no carbonation and tasted completely stale

Very tasty food, an allergy menu was also available. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere.

The restaurant is highly recommended for eating out, very tasty dog-friendly food and a spacious play area for children.

We were on vacation near the restaurant and had to try it out. We were absolutely delighted with the service and the food. The portions are reasonable, and if you have children, you can wait for your meal in peace, as they have a nice play area. We were able to eat there without a reservation. They also give you several free Uzos. 😉

A bit unassuming from the outside, but spacious, clean, and inviting inside. I would divide the dining area a bit. Put out large plants or something similar. The service was very friendly! The food was delicious. The value for money was okay.

Great restaurant with a great play area for children!

We like being here, the food is great and the service is friendly. I can recommend the Knossos plate, super tasty and worth the €20! What we really like is that there is a play area for children, there is something for everyone and we parents can enjoy the food. There are enough parking spaces and you can also sit outside, unfortunately the location isn't quite ideal because it's close to a street, but that's ok, we'll get to dinner :).

We can't say anything about the food until we've gotten there. Because the restaurant is big but totally uncomfortable, impersonal and loud. It's like a carnival session, full and loud but not comfortable. If I want that then I'll go to Cologne. I have to feel comfortable in a restaurant, which unfortunately wasn't the case here

A very nice restaurant. Have been here many times. Perfect atmosphere. Super great staff, they are always friendly. No matter how busy it is, they are friendly and have a smile on their face. The food is super delicious. I have nothing to complain about. We always enjoy coming back

The hall is very nicely decorated, but when it is full it is very loud. The service didn't seem motivated to me. No smile, no hello, etc. The food tasted very good.

The most beautiful Greek restaurant I've ever seen. The food was truly delicious and plentiful. The service staff was incredibly friendly. There weren't any tight rows, and you didn't sit next to strangers like you usually do. And what I like best: it's very child-friendly. There's a small playroom for children and a special children's menu. I'll definitely be back.

Very cozy and brightly furnished. The food is great in quantity and quality. Price/performance is reasonable. The service was friendly and worked quickly, even though the restaurant was very full. The only drawback was the salad...it is neither Greek nor necessary. Dressing seems to be from a bulk package and the salad generally lacks a little attention to detail. The host should save that and instead serve Greek olives or something else typical of the country. Overall we were very satisfied and would like to come back. Pre-booking a spot seems to make sense on weekends.

Food was good no matter what you took. Only there were 10 of us found that the portions had become smaller. Service was great, ambience a bit noisy as the room was large. Parking spaces available in front of the door. Always happy

Food - price, that fits together. The cooking is not exquisite but it doesn't cost much either. However, I would probably only visit the restaurant again when the weather is nice as the building smells terrible. Like “wet insulation” or an “old prefabricated house”. A pungent smell that permeates clothing. Well, and as is often the case, people like to collect in cash and without an invoice... I hope that will be used for the renovation of the building. Friendly hosts who enjoy their work.

Huge space.. More like in the train station. You will be compensated for this by great, generous staff and great food... We were 9 people... Didn't have to wait long for food and everyone got food at the same time. COMPLIMENT.

Hello guys, I had dinner at the Kreta restaurant again today and it was soooo delicious! We are from Neubrandenburg and eat there almost once a month. We have already encouraged many acquaintances and friends to eat there because I don't know any other Greek place within a 200km radius that is better! 20 points out of 10 from me 😉😁

We are guests here at the “Kreta” restaurant relatively regularly and have always been very satisfied. The food is very tasty and the service is friendly. There is a regular small ouzo (even if that is not a given!) and you are served quickly. All in all, the boss and his team have everything under control here, the chef knows his craft, the location is great (especially outdoors in summer) - we would love to come back Very best regards Sandra and Andreas

Great, anytime again! Huge amount of space, both inside and outside, a huge advantage, especially for celebrations. We had no problems finding a place on Thursday afternoon, even though there was a lot going on. Everything is open, friendly and flooded with light. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner, someone came regularly and offered their service. The food came extremely quickly. Everything tasted fresh and not like frozen, microwaved or ready-made food. And the price was more than reasonable, especially since someone kept coming over with ouzo and offering it to us. Really great, that's how it has to be, I hope it continues like this!!!

We ate outside in mild summer temperatures. The ambience is simple but authentic and still very beautiful.

We ordered fillet and got a large stuffed schnitzel. When the complaint was made, no one spoke German anymore. Too bad.

Beautiful atmosphere and amazing service, the workers were really nice and I got my food in timely manner. I recommend the saganaki and the bifteki, they were wonderful.

Price performance is justifiable..

It's our first time in Prenzlau and we've been thinking about going out to eat in advance. So this evening we spontaneously stopped at Crete and didn't regret it. Due to the great weather, the outdoor area was well attended but despite everything, we were served quickly and friendly. In the meantime, while we had to wait for the food, we and the other guests got a delicious ouzo and there was also one with the meal. The food was absolutely great in terms of price-performance ratio! Since I know how difficult it is to fry liver, I have to say they did an absolutely great job. The other types of meat were also superbly prepared and the garlic potatoes were simply great. We'll be here until Tuesday and will definitely stop by again.

The meat was good...a little dry

We came here on a recommendation. Salad side dish too bland, a kind of salad on top of it with a ring of sauces. I don't expect something like that in a restaurant. Gyros was well hidden under a mountain of onion. The joy of delicious fried liver was great, but the opposite happened. We even looked forward to the obligatory ouzo in vain. It's just little things but too many, Wish the team many more satisfied guests, we are no longer there.

I recently visited Kreta, and it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Everything was great👍 we could have thought of water for our dog, but it was ok, we had water with us. There's nothing wrong with the food.

There is a place for every hungry guest in Crete. Whether inside or outside, whether at a small table or a banquet table - everyone is welcome here, including our dog. The food and drinks are excellent, the service is quick. Am satisfied.

Nice staff very friendly. Food tasted good. You can eat inside or outside. We sat outside. There is a digging box outside for children and a swing where I would be careful with the swing as it needs to be replaced. I don't know if there are any play areas inside, but I think I saw a play area. The toilets were very clean.

Very chic atmosphere, nice service and the food was good too. The grilled pepperoni wasn't to my liking, but (fortunately) tastes are different.

The equipment is as we now know it in all Greek restaurants. Very large, bright “hall”. Friendly seating, upholstered benches and upholstered chairs. The service is friendly, visits regularly, but is not intrusive. The dishes all looked good. My meal: Pork medallions in Metaxer sauce! The pan came to the table and all you could see was the sauce, I like a lot of sauce (better than too little). But I didn't find any medallions! I found small pieces of meat in it. It tasted good too, no question. But why do you write medallions in the card? It was actually a Metaxer pot with meat in it.

This Greek restaurant is one of the best places to eat delicious food in Prenzlau. Prices are great too. Always happy again...

Satisfying food with attentive staff. Garlic bread maybe with 4 teaspoons less chili powder otherwise exactly what I wanted. And for the money you save with the chili powder, just add a little salt to the other dishes. Dessert was good and price was very good. The biggest drawback, however, was the smell that awaits you directly behind the entrance door, which is slightly reminiscent of a public train station toilet. But after spending a while in the restaurant you get used to it.

Good Greek restaurant. It tastes good - price/performance is absolutely ok. Food is well seasoned. Service very friendly. There are good rounds of ouzo. Two small comments: the children's corner made it feel noisy during our visit and the plates could be preheated so that the food was at a slightly higher temperature. But overall recommended.

Food very good, generous portions...the warm starter platter for 2 is actually enough for 4 people. Price performance very good. Ouzu was brought to the table twice. Service very friendly. You can have any leftover food packed up. The only point of criticism: only cash payment is possible and that has probably been the case for a long time, there was no receipt either.

Irgendwann muss mal das letzte Mal sein. Heute war es hier wirklich sehr enttäuschend. Nicht nur das man hier seit über einem Jahr (angeblich) nicht mit Karte zahlen kann. HALLO ZUKUNFT!!! Der Salat (als Gruß aus der Küche), keine Zwiebel, keine Gurke, keine Olive und or allem kein Olivenöl sondern irgendein weißes Zeug. Das ist schon eine Frechheit.Das Essen war heute ein Reinfall. Lammpfanne war nur süß und ohne Salt und Pfeffer. Der Lachs von Grill war wohl vom selben "Koch". Und die weibliche Bedienung rennt so lustlos durch die Gegend und ist dann verwundert wenn man sagt das es nicht geschmeckt hat. Naja ich denke mal das ich hier so schnell nicht mehr bin. Und abschließend der Geruch in dem Restaurant, ich weiß nicht war es ist aber es ist unmöglich!!!!
