Fantastischer Service und gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen. Zweifellos die beste Gesamterfahrung seit unserer Abreise aus Schweden vor etwas mehr als einer Woche auf unserer Reise durch Deutschland, die Niederlande, Belgien, Frankreich, Luxemburg, das Moseltal und das Rheintal.

Bestes Essen und bester Service während unserer einwöchigen Deutschlandreise. Sehr freundliches Personal. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Wir waren zu zweit im "Kräuterweible", hatten halbe Hähnchen mit Pommes und Salat. Alles war perfekt, auch die Preise sind in Ordnung und die Bedienung sehr tüchtig und freundlich. Können wir auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wir waren rundum begeistert! Das Essen war hervorragend – frisch, liebevoll zubereitet und geschmacklich einfach top. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die unglaublich herzliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und bestens aufgehoben. Ein echtes Highlight ist außerdem die Auswahl an Pfälzer Weinen. Besonders sympathisch finde ich, dass man hier auch weiß, was eine Pfälzer Schorle bzw. ein Schoppe ist – das unterstreicht den regionalen Charakter und die Verbundenheit mit der Pfalz. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder und können das Kräuterweible uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Das Essen (Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat, Wurstsalat, Nachtisch) war lecker, die Bedienung sehr freundlich und schnell, der Außenbereich im Schatten sehr angenehm, die Preise absolut fair- ich kann dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen

Mein Mann hatte eine Gulaschsuppe, beim servieren sagte man uns, konnte scharf sein und sie war es auch. Das Essen ist nicht zu empfehlen

Das waren die absolut allerbesten halben Händl die ich je gegessen habe. Die Wirtin ist super nett, Ambiente toll! Dorthin zu gehen ist ein muss !!! Das ist Zufriedenheit fürs Auge und den Magen.

Essen nicht sonderlich gut. Ich hatte eine Flädlesuppe die viel zu sauer geschmeckt hat. Meine Freundin hatte ein Cordon bleu was auch minderqualität war. Insbesondere der unfreundliche Service ist uns negativ aufgefallen. Die kellnerin hat die meisten Gäste vertrieben mit der Aussage " um 15/ 15.30 uhr ist Hauptessenszeit und man dürfe hier (Lokal halbleer) nur essen und nicht nur trinken. Zudem hat sie ständig vor sich her genuschelt "oh nein schon wieder neue Gäste ..hat das nicht mal ein Ende...bitte weitergehen". Das Lokal hat wohl keine neuen Gäste notwendig und die 4,3 sterne Bewertung kann ich definitiv nicht nachvollziehen. Geht lieber weiter unten in der Strasse ins "hohenstauferpfalz". Dort bekommt man sehr gutes essen und freundlichen Service

Sehr urige Atmosphäre - Essen war sehr lecker - extrem faire Preise Mein Papa hatte das Kräuterweible bei einem Kuraufenthalt kennengelernt und mir seitdem davon vorgeschwärmt. Er hat nicht zu viel versprochen. Wenn man im schönen Bad Wimpfen landet - unbedingt einen Besuch abstatten. Und Hunger mitbringen

Das Essen war leider nicht gut. Tiefkühlkost und geschmacklose Soße. Das Servicepersonal war freundlich. Ambiente ist zwar in die Jahre gekommen, aber gemütlich.

Gutes Restaurant, sehr flotte Bedienung, Essen war Top. Lage mitten in der Altstadt sehr schön. Empfehlung !

Das war der erste und letzte Besuch dort. Unfreundliches Personal, dass die Essensreklamation nicht ernst genommen hat.

Wie immer lecker. Das Hähnchen ist immer Frisch und mit Liebe zubereitet.

Ganz passabel, das Hähnchen ist nichts besonderes, es schmeckt nicht schlecht.

Spezialität sind die halben Hähnchen, die sehr gut und knusprig sind. Außerdem ist das Rindersteak sehr zu empfehlen, vor allem weil es preislich interessant ist. Einziger Negativpunkt waren die Getränke : Cola war weder Coca-Cola noch Pepsi, von der Kohlensäure war nichts zu sehen und zu merken. Nach Reklamation bekamen wir Spezi, mit ebenfalls zu wenig Kohlensäure. Deshalb besser ein anderes Getränk wählen.

Wir waren gestern in dieser a die für ihre frittierten Hähnchen bekannt sein soll. Mehr gibt es dazu leider auch nicht zu sagen. Das Essen war absolut keine Besonderheit – lieblos angerichtet, eher wie auf einem Volksfest serviert. Geschmacklich durchschnittlich, optisch enttäuschend. Trotz rechtzeitiger Reservierung war bei unserer Ankunft kein Tisch für uns frei. Nach einer längeren Diskussion mit der äußerst unfreundlichen Bedienung wurden wir schließlich einfach zu anderen Gästen an einen Tisch gesetzt. Privatsphäre? Fehlanzeige. Jede Nachfrage wurde mit sichtlich schlechter Laune beantwortet. Freundlichkeit scheint hier ein Fremdwort zu sein. Den Höhepunkt bildete das Bezahlen: 20 Minuten warteten wir auf die Rechnung. Schließlich standen wir auf und wollten direkt an der Kasse zahlen – woraufhin uns die Wirtin in einem unangemessenen Ton mitteilte, wir sollten uns wieder setzen, man komme „wenn man Zeit habe“. Der Aperol war ebenfalls eine Enttäuschung: zwei kleine Eiswürfel und ein kümmerliches Viertel einer Orangenscheibe – traurig. Wir haben das Ganze letztlich mit Humor genommen – anders wäre es kaum zu ertragen gewesen. Trotzdem werden wir diese Kneipe ganz sicher niemandem empfehlen und definitiv nicht noch einmal besuchen. Fazit: Ein Besuch reicht mehr als genug.

Das Essen war einfach super lecker, Steak vom Angus und zu einem sehr guten Preis, und alles frisch. Unbedingt ausprobieren.

Eng, dunkel, voll...lecker Bier und gegrilltes Hähnchen...

Ich bestellte ein Angus-Rumpsteak, alle Beilagen mussten extra bezahlt werden. Die Kellnerin fragte mich, wie ich das Fleisch gegart haben möchte. Ich antwortete „medium+“. Sie ging kurz zum Koch, kam direkt zurück und fragte mich dann, ob ich es eher medium oder eher blutig möchte. Daraufhin sagte eine Dame hinter dem Tresen – vermutlich die Chefin – zu mir, ich solle doch selbst in die Küche gehen und mir das Steak selbst braten! Diese Bemerkung empfand ich als sehr unverschämt. Das Essen kam schließlich: Ich hatte Spätzle mit Soße und einen kleinen Salat dazu bestellt. Die Spätzle wirkten wie aus dem Supermarkt, und auch die Soße schmeckte nach Fertigprodukt. Das Fleisch war in Ordnung. Allerdings kostete wirklich alles extra, sogar die Soße. Für ein Steak mit Beilagen, einen Kaffee und ein Radler zahlte ich insgesamt 36,50 €. Das Lokal ist von außen wunderschön, zum Essen würde ich jedoch nicht noch einmal dort einkehren.

Köstliches, einfaches Essen, serviert von netten Leuten. Am 2. Januar konnten wir das Baby zum Abendessen mitbringen und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen!

Gaststätte ist sehr klein, deshalb am besten vorher anrufen. Das panierte Schnitzel und der Fisch haben uns tatsächlich nicht so geschmeckt, da es tiefgekühlt geschmeckt hat. Dafür war der Leberkäse wirklich lecker, als auch der Salat und die Pfeffersosse. Preislich auch in Ordnung.

Wurden abgewiesen , da gehen wir nicht mehr hin

The "quaint" restaurant is rather unkempt and run-down. The supposedly solid home-style cooking is more like cheap deep-fried food. The staff tried their best.

It was very crowded on Christmas market days, but we still managed to find a spot, even if we had to squeeze together a bit. The food arrived quickly, and we were satisfied.

Small, cozy, and good traditional fare. The Maultaschen (Swabian ravioli) are superb, the chicken is perfect! We'll definitely be back! We've been here twice since our stay and it certainly won't be the last.

We remembered the chicken from 30 years ago. We went there again today and were very disappointed. Deep-fried mini-chickens, tasteless and completely dry. Served with a slice of bread, no mustard. They're better and bigger at every festival! Is this still supposed to be a specialty there? Well, unbelievable. On top of that, the server was annoyed and unfriendly. We definitely won't be back. What a shame...

We had chicken and steak, it was very good, no complaints there. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was nice too.

A delicious half roast chicken at a reasonable price! The skin was perfectly crispy and the chicken was well-seasoned. Reservations are definitely recommended!

Comfortable seating. Guests are seated together depending on the number of people. Service is excellent. Always attentive, they accommodate customer requests as much as possible, and they are very quick. Half a chicken is the house specialty and highly recommended. Other dishes are also very good. Prices are very reasonable. I'll gladly come back again and again.

I can only agree with some of the previous speakers – the schnitzel was tasteless from the deep fryer – the spaetzle (which you have to pay extra for as a side dish) was equally tasteless – the draft beer was wasted – the restaurant was very cozy in the old town – but that's it – the rest is completely forgettable – I've written a complaint to the owner. He should also take note of the negative reviews and change something! I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

I can only recommend the Kräuterweible 😃 Fast service, very friendly staff, very good food and very reasonable prices.

A wonderful, authentic inn, and the only one we found that serves hot meals throughout the day. Local dishes and reasonable prices round out our impressions. We'd love to come back.

We were thrilled. The house specialty was half a chicken. Delicious!

The service was friendly and fast. Unfortunately, the food was anything but tasty or good. The chicken, the chicken cordon bleu, and the fish fillet all came from a deep fryer. The chicken was extremely dry and crusty. The cordon bleu consisted of molded meat and, like the fish, was a processed product with relatively little flavor, like the kind you'd find in any supermarket. Hence my rating.

We were there yesterday. The restaurant was very crowded. The service was extremely unfriendly. The fries were unfortunately abysmal. We paid and only realized at home that our bill, which included five drinks and fries, also included a coffee and a cappuccino. Since we're leaving immediately today, we can't complain. Honestly, it was also our fault for trusting the service. So, be careful when paying.

It's unfortunate to have to give it a low rating. Unfortunately, I can confirm the critical reviews that preceded mine: the various slices, as well as the cordon bleu, are industrial products.

The Kräuterweible is a fantastic restaurant in the heart of Bad Wimpfen's old town. You always feel welcome here. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The wait for the food is only a few minutes, and the quality remains high. Salads are crisp, drinks are freshly chilled, and main courses are hot, hearty, juicy, and crispy. The half chicken is truly the house specialty and has drawn me back to Bad Wimpfen time and time again for years. The entire menu is highly recommended!

The prices and conditions are truly top-notch. I've rarely eaten in such a humane and friendly restaurant. The 4.8 stars are absolutely deserved; I even think the restaurant deserves 5 stars.

The food was delicious. The service was very friendly and prompt. The ambiance fits perfectly with the surroundings and thus fits perfectly into the town.

Maybe it was a mistake not to have the house specialty—half a chicken—but I simply wanted schnitzel with spaetzle and sauce. A classic. Unfortunately, the restaurant only served it in cafeteria quality. And the promised sparkling water in the glass was anything but sparkling. This can and should be improved.

We'd been planning a visit to this quaint, rustic inn for a long time. Recently, we finally made it, and we weren't disappointed: You can enjoy down-to-earth cuisine at reasonable prices in an impressive setting. The chicken and meatloaf, for example, are highly recommended. The staff are really friendly and patient, and they're always in a good mood even after a long day at work. Highly recommended!

The fries and schnitzel weren't the best, but they weren't the worst either. What bothered me most was the unfriendliness.

We ordered and ate chicken with fries, cordon bleu with a side salad, and schnitzel with gravy and fries. I found the chicken quite small and somehow underseasoned (but that's a matter of taste). It was crispy, but that's understandable since it's deep-fried. The cordon bleu and schnitzel were pre-made industrial (frozen) goods. The fries had an above-average number of dark spots (shell residue and sugar pockets), which doesn't speak for good quality. Overall, a rather average taste experience with above-average prices. With two glasses of water and a Coke Zero, it came to €55.00. You can get more for that price! The only thing that impressed us was the friendly service, but of course, it can't "save" the food.

A quaint and cozy restaurant. The food is delicious and the price/performance ratio is good. Since the restaurant isn't very large, it can get a bit crowded during peak lunch times. There are also a few tables outside.

We were there for lunch. Instead of three, there were two waiters. Hats off to both of them. Despite full tables inside and out, they were courteous, friendly, and had a smile on their faces for all the guests. This was a great service. The food was, as always, very good, especially the asparagus. Excellent quality.

We returned here with the whole family a few days ago. Most people tried chicken and loved it, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I chose a rump steak, the meat was excellent and cooked to perfection. The salads were fresh and had various salads on the plate for €5.40. The potato salad is like grandma's, simply delicious. The ladies from the service, despite the stress, were very nice and friendly. During peak times you should expect to wait 15-30 minutes to get a table. We will definitely come back and are looking forward to it. I can only recommend it.

Our medium salad included bacon. What was neither defined on the menu nor was it anywhere else in the salad. I asked the waitress to take it off the bill because we couldn't eat it due to pork. It's not about the €10, it's about the brazen and unfriendly manner. That was definitely our last visit!

We used to go there all the time to eat chicken, but then we hadn't been back in a long time. After our last visit a few days ago, we quickly realized why we hadn't been there in so long: They simply seated complete strangers at your table without asking (and they were anything but thrilled about it)! When you go to a pub, you know you'll be sitting at a table with complete strangers, not in a restaurant. That's not right! The food itself is tasty, the chicken is deliciously crispy (as advertised), but veeeery small. It's almost reminiscent of a skinny chicken soup in terms of what's inside... It used to be different. The restaurant itself is quaint, just like it used to be; it really has its charm and is hard to find these days. But we won't be going there again :(

Quaint restaurant and nice staff and delicious food. Schnitzel with fries is recommended. But I think most guests come here for the chicken.

I am an allergy sufferer, I ordered a salad without allergens and emphasized that I need no dairy products. A tuna salad with cheese arrived promptly? I complained about this and pointed out the milk allergy again. Within three minutes a “new” salad arrived. Too bad it was the same salad, with the cheese removed from the top and still in the bottom. There was no excuse, completely ignorant!! They simply wanted to forgive me the still water with “it fits”. Of course I paid... I find it impossible to list allergens and then ignore them. Never again!!!

We always like to come here again because of the delicious chicken, pre-order and collection is also possible.

You won't find better, crispier chicken anywhere. To pick up (call 20 minutes in advance) or eat there. They also have other delicious home-style dishes. The chicken schnitzel and salads are also recommended.

I wasn't in the restaurant, but I was fascinated by the elaborately designed facade for the Christmas market. Simply brilliantly solved and completely in harmony with the Christmas market.

Beautiful location, but on Advent weekends it's unfortunately like a train station. The food is home-style, delicious, but the constant coming and going means there is a constant hustle and bustle in the room. Therefore, we were not able to enjoy the visit as expected.

We were here for the Christmas market and ate nuggets and “wild potatoes”. Everything was very tasty and the service was very nice. The restaurant is decorated as a gingerbread house (witch house) at Christmas time.

Pleasantly surprised. We had lunch with 7 people, chicken, rump steak and pollack, spaetzle, fries and salad, everything was great, came at the same time and encouraged dessert. The food was tasty, but the selection was rather limited. When I go out to eat, I actually want something different like the typical “schnitzel with fries”. It's autumn, how about pumpkin or something? Seasonally easy. Well, whatever, what doesn't work is the blonde older lady. You don't do that to your employees/colleagues in front of your guests. I ordered chicken schnitzel with sauce, fries and salad. The chicken schnitzel was made of molded meat and had no taste whatsoever, as did the watery gravy. The fries tasted like they were made in old fat and the salad, well. All in all, it was and remains the only visit.
