We ate there with 6 people on a Friday. The food is averagely good, unfortunately you often have to wait until the food is refilled. But once again we were not satisfied with the service. We had ordered 2 shandy and 1 non-alcoholic shandy, unfortunately the drinks were brought with a serving robot and we didn't know what was what. When we pointed this out to the waiter, he became very upset and blamed us. Only after repeated requests was he willing to bring us a new non-alcoholic shandy. Unfortunately 🤨

The atmosphere has the charm of a train station. The table showed traces of smear from the last wipe, the chair had leftover food from the day before. The control panels in particular were touched by everyone but not disinfected in between...then peel the shrimp...yuck. The floor on the men's toilet was very slippery. We were there yesterday. The food was dry, hard and cold. Has been lying in the container for hours. I'm a restaurateur myself, so I know what's fresh and what's not. Dessert was okay. The service wasn't up to par either. You have to go there to order drinks as long as you wait at the table. The second time I ordered drinks after 20 minutes nothing happened, I was reminded again and I waited until the robot came so for €170 I can go eat somewhere else. The managing director should take it seriously and change a lot... the competition never sleeps.

We ate there with our son-in-law and granddaughter on the day of German unity, a public holiday. The fountain inside has disappeared and the area for tables has been increased. The tables were nicely prepared, otherwise everything is spacious. The buffet is varied, very well arranged raw fish and meat as well as vegetables to be grilled directly at the counter on the grill, everything that Chinese cuisine knows from crispy duck to sweet and sour pork, 7 treasures, beef dishes, salmon, the selection is huge , a separate zone for sushi, a large area for dessert: ice cream, bananas with chocolate icing, vanilla and chocolate pudding, jelly, waffles, rice balls and baked bananas, types of fruit, everything very clean, labeled, highly recommended! Drinks and the raw materials ordered for frying are brought to the table by a robot - to the delight of the children. A super special!! On the holiday we adults paid 25.00 euros, children pay according to age, drinks are extra.

A wide selection of vegetables, fish and meat, both ready-cooked and raw ingredients, which are freshly cooked in the kitchen. The sushi selection is also very large, but most of it is very western-style (i.e. lots of mayo and spice sauce, fried onions). The rice seemed too hard and dry for me, the fish was okay, although I only really liked the eel. I was particularly impressed with the fully cooked one. Restaurants of this type are particularly recommended for fried foods and sweet and sour foods. My companion had various types of meat freshly cooked, but I found it too dry and tough. In comparison, most of the meat and fish dishes prepared were tender and very tasty and the vegetables were perfectly cooked, still with some bite. When it came to dessert, I also found the fried one to be the most recommended. I haven't tested the fruit or chocolate fountain, so I can't comment on their quality. If you know what you like, it's definitely worth a (re)visit.

Yesterday we celebrated my father-in-law's 70th birthday with 10 people in the Kaisegarten. The operation and service were ok. Above all, the service was really nice, she was very friendly and helped us with a few things, for example with the cake. That was very nice. Unfortunately, she couldn't make up for all the bad things. A very very meager selection of food...some of it looked as if leftovers had been "thrown there". And then the most intense thing of ALL... it felt warmer outside than inside... and that with an outside temperature of 6 degrees! We froze EVERYTHING off of ourselves and sat at the table, some of us in our jackets, shivering. ---> Everything was fogged up and they turned on the ventilation. That's NOT possible at all! Unfortunately, we understand something different by sitting comfortably together and spending a nice evening together. We will only visit the store in the summer, if at all.

Great selection of dishes, the duck was a bit too crispy for my taste. Overall, it's a great place. Nice staff, the robot cats were a real highlight for my children. Recommend going out to eat there.

It was very cold inside the restaurant. The staff were sometimes very unfriendly and of course the food quickly got cold. All radiators were cold. The food was very good as usual. Empty plates were not cleared away and so the plates piled up at our table.

I was there 3 times, 2020;2022;2024 All three times I had extreme stomach pain and diarrhea afterwards. After two visits I also vomited. It always took a few days for me to feel better. I hear the same thing far too often from friends and relatives for this to be a coincidence.

Once again underground... every few years we try it in the Kaisergarten, but this time was the last time. The food was standard, cold, empty, meat raw (and I definitely don't mean the Mongolian buffet), vegetables hard, sushi not tasty at all. Salad buffet a joke. Dessert OK, but baked banana cold and like a lump of clay. Canteen atmosphere... new food is poured over the old, cold one. Phew...you don't have to have it!

I really like eating there. There are many different delicacies at the buffet. Everything looks fresh and tastes very tasty.

Nice restaurant. The Asian all-you-can-eat buffet offers a large selection of dishes and, if desired, can also be freshly prepared in the Mongolian area. Everything tastes very tasty and is highly recommended. Only the drinks are quite expensive and unfortunately not included in the buffet.

When I was there the plates were just dirty with leftover food.

The buffet, especially the sushi buffet, was completely empty and wasn't even refilled. I had to spit out the grilled fish because it simply tasted disgusting. The toilets are dirty and there is toilet paper and dirt everywhere. The robot is more service-oriented than the waiters there. I used to like being there but that was the last time today and I regret every cent I never spent there again

We were able to eat outside today when the weather was nice...unfortunately the ambience there is poor...the garden and the furniture make a very worn impression...new plants, weeding would be urgently on the agenda. The toilet should definitely be used be renewed...for tall people this is an absolute no-go...The buffet was great as always. Great selection and all bowls were full to the brim and hot...the drinks were also well chilled...our service was very friendly and attentive...thank you very much for that..

We were there on Friday evening for the summer/autumn buffet. Welcome was nice. Someone only came by the table once and took the number of people and then collected the money. There was no more service. You have to bring your own drinks. Used dishes must be taken away yourself. But it also has something positive, no service, no tips ;<)

We were there on the weekend. The buffet is okay but nothing special. Most of the food was very oily/greasy and the actual taste doesn't come through. The staff is nice despite the help from the robots who don't come to clear the tables. Sometimes we waited 20 minutes until the dishes were cleared and people asked for drinks. My ears flickered at the drink prices. For 2 beers and a small bottle of water €19.70! I find that quite excessive. Therefore, visiting there again is no longer an option. It's actually a shame, you can do more with it. But it seems to be enough.

The food was dry and hard...as if it had been in the containers for hours...dessert for example. Only the edges of the cheesecake were laid out and everything else was very spartan... We have already visited the Kaisergarten several times and can only recommend this restaurant. The staff is very friendly and extremely tolerant of people with disabilities. The food is at a pleasant temperature, very varied and there is also a large selection for vegans and vegetarians. The prices are absolutely reasonable for what is on offer. 😊 The service robot is a great idea. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has a wheelchair accessible toilet. Very tasty food and always fresh. However, there are also worse days there when the food is not so flavorful, so my recommendation: eat there at least twice because it's worth experiencing one of the many good days

The lunch buffet was sparse, nothing fresh was added, bananas were baked black on the inside I am very disappointed, the quality has deteriorated significantly!!

Food doesn't taste good, service is catastrophic and way too expensive!!! I absolutely cannot recommend it.

We've been going to this restaurant for a long time, back when it was still the Kota Radja, the ambience was a little better, but that's not a bad thing now, it's modern, lots of space and the food is still just great! The staff is always really friendly, really lovely people. We'd love to come back!

Have eaten in this restaurant many times and won't go into detail about how everything tasted and the restaurant looked. Because that is not the aim of this review. The employees definitely made a very bad impression, their behavior was not good at all. A (young, new?) waitress wanted to assign us a table, which she did with a smile. Totally nice. Suddenly another employee came from the other side of the restaurant and started screaming that our waitress must have taken us to the wrong table and also started yelling and complaining at her in front of us. “YOU HAVE TO THINK FIRST AND THEN DO THINGS!!!” (also repeated several times), “HOW CAN YOU DO SOMETHING like that”, etc. It was just terrible to have to make a scene of an employee being put down for someone like that small mistake that anyone can make. I was so sorry and had no appetite afterward. There are ways to point out mistakes and also in a professional way. I found something like that totally absurd, unprofessional and inhumane. I will certainly never eat in a restaurant like this again. That is not how it works.

A nice restaurant with Tastefully furnished in a Far Eastern ambience. We were there for the lunch buffet and it left nothing to be desired in terms of quality, taste and price-performance. The service is friendly and quick and even has support from a little robot 😄

Not recommended, the food at the buffet had been sitting on the counter for ages and was hard to enjoy. The atmosphere is run down and unkempt.

Went for Chinese food again after a long time but were totally disappointed. At the normal buffet the sauces were baked on the top due to the long standing time, chicken parts were very dry. The huge restaurant wasn't well attended, which could be the reason. Mongolian food was super huge selection and also The sushi was okay. I also found the price for a 0.75l bottle of water for €6.90 very expensive. I wouldn't go to this restaurant again. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio isn't right.

Buffet was delicious with many options. As Americans traveling in Europe this place felt like home. Robots serve your food and drinks. My only disappointment was the food we chose to be cooked had zero flavor or spice. Something we were not use to. They did want to charge us extra for a half plate wasted. We were in the Kaisergarten again today (June 16, 2024) and were immediately surprised that it was very empty. There were a maximum of 15 tables occupied, which is very unusual for a Sunday around lunchtime. We took advantage of the lunch buffet and cold drinks. The buffet was very manageable and the dishes weren't really that fancy. I had trouble finding something suitable. This is very sad considering the price is well over 20 euros per person just for the food. We will certainly give the Kaisergarten a third chance and stop by again in a few weeks or months. We are very curious. .......................................... We were a little disappointed 😞. There was a Valentine's Day special offer and at a price of 25 euros per person plus drinks, I was expecting a lot. But what was on offer was really just average. Simply no more. The selection of dishes was very clear and the fresh products that you could put together weren't really imaginative. AMBIENCE is what anyone who misses the old waiting room will find. I found it very cold and sterile. There are certainly much worse restaurants but here it will take some time before we come back.

Catastrophe! Service so unfriendly and hard to understand! Waited over 40 minutes for someone to come to the table to pay... then we just went to the front and asked for the bill. Then he simply pushes a sign in front of his face that says that he pays at the table. Are you crazy ?! Should I sit there all day and wait for someone to come to the table? By the way, the restaurant was empty!! The buffet is also not fresh and drenched in oil, the drinks are stale and uncarbonated, the fruit is brown and old. Never again!!!!

The drinks are brought by a robot, which is quite funny in itself, but I personally find it unhygienic as it moves from table to table when fully loaded and other people touch the glasses. More than good for 12.90 on Senior Day

The restaurant is quite expensive. There is a buffet with quite a large selection, a live kitchen, a salad buffet and the highlight for the children was the large selection of desserts and the chocolate fountain. The finished dishes were all warm and the staff was attentive and friendly. The salad buffet gets a deduction. All salads were served with sauces. There was no allergy information, which prevented me from accessing it. It would be better if you offered the sauces separately and only had a raw food counter, then everyone could get their hands on the salad. BONUS POINT: Dogs are allowed in the restaurant.

5/5 I've eaten here several times and I really can't complain! There is a sufficient selection of dishes for young and old, there are also vegetarian/vegan options and otherwise you can put together a delicious Mongolian grill plate yourself. I recommend the special sauce (slightly spicy but super tasty) The sushi selection is also amazing! And let's not even get started on the desserts... (the kids love the chocolate fountain) I can understand that not everything can be perfect with such a selection. Especially at such an unbeatable price of €19.90 per person!! It doesn't get any better. The competition here in Hagen and the surrounding area can't keep up. Since it is an all-you-can-eat buffet, I also understand that you have to pay €5 for a small child. Completely justified :) I don't understand how some guests can complain and talk about "robber plates", since this is the case in restaurants where you order a la carte and set dishes. I would also like to say hello to the nice waiters, who are always very courteous and attentive :) The robot is great too! The kids think it's really cool and are always happy to see it at the table. We always enjoy coming to the Kaisergarten!

I've only had good experiences there so far...food is always freshly refilled, reservations also went smoothly, service staff were well connected via radios, so the work here is very customer-oriented and for my birthday there's Chinese cutlery and a voucher... .the only drawback is that the owners have changed too often in the last few years, I hope the current one stays longer😉

Nice ambience. There is a play area for children outside. The staff is very helpful. If something is wrong at the buffet etc., it is due to ignorant guests who do not know how to behave in public in accordance with etiquette. We always enjoy going there.

The selection was large, but the quality could be improved. The positive thing is that there is a grill station where freshly prepared food is prepared according to your selection, unfortunately no attention was paid to the cooking point, so the food was only slightly fried but not cooked or crispy. There is a sushi station, as I don't eat fish I can't comment on that. The bedside table buffet includes a chocolate fountain, a real plus. Otherwise, desserts are of poor quality and rather inexpensive. The edges of the melon were not sufficiently cut off (woody), and the tangerines were too old and no longer edible. NEVER AGAIN this is the worst restaurant I have ever seen. The employees are unfriendly and racist. They just didn't want to let me in because I had a headscarf on and they said "yes, we only let you in for the children" what's where The first time we were there they were very nice but the second time they were really disrespectful and unfriendly. Every time a full plate was thrown away they blamed us and we didn't throw anything away and right where we wanted to go in they weren't unfriendly hello or something like that, really worst china restaurant because there is this china restaurant we will never go there again.

My husband, I and my children went to this buffet restaurant for dinner. As soon as we started putting food on plates, a Chinese employee of this place, who constantly stands near the entrance greeting visitors, ran up to us and started shouting at us. He shouted very bad words at us and insulted us. Of course we were very shocked. I put down a plate of food, we took the kids and had to get out of here. What was that? Is this how your restaurant greets guests? That was unacceptable! Punish this employee!

I contact the management of this wonderful restaurant and insist that you find out who you are hiring there. We are a family of athletes, we came to dinner, started putting food on our plates, a Chinese man ran up to us and started yelling at us, calling us pigs and saying all kinds of bad words. We just turned around and walked away from there. He immediately started insulting us again and said it was good that we were leaving and he insulted us again. I would like to contact the management of this restaurant! My friends and I came to this restaurant for dinner. As we started putting food on our plate, we were approached by this restaurant's robotnik who greets guests at the entrance. He started insulting us with unpleasant words and we left in a bad mood, to say the least. I ask the management to take care of this restaurant employee, he will drive away all your visitors. It is very unpleasant and my friends and I will never go there again.
