Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal in der Körschtalklause – und ich kann ehrlich sagen: ein echtes Highlight. Schon beim Ankommen merkt man, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird. Wir hatten das große Glück, die Familie persönlich kennenzulernen – unglaublich freundlich, herzlich und authentisch. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Das Essen war einfach phänomenal. Endlich mal wirklich **echte ungarische Küche**, nicht angepasst oder „eingedeutscht“. Besonders begeistert hat uns die Gulaschsuppe nach Oma-Rezept und die klassischen ungarischen Gerichte wie Pörkölt oder die Krautwickel – alles perfekt abgeschmeckt, frisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Auch die Karte zeigt, wie viel Mühe hier drin steckt – von traditionellen Speisen bis hin zu tollen Weinen vom Balaton. Man merkt: das ist kein Zufall, sondern echte Leidenschaft. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und familiär – genau der Ort, an dem man gerne länger sitzen bleibt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder – und bringen beim nächsten Mal Freunde mit. Absolute Empfehlung! ❤️

Haben Essen mit WhatsApp zum mitnehmen bestellt. Leider war es nicht gut. Pünktlich um 11.30 Uhr abgeholt. Pommes lätschig. Lachsnudeln ohne Kaviar bestellt und mit bekommen. Geschmacklich war alles außer dem Gulasch sehr fad. Werde wohl da nicht mehr bestellen.

Wir waren heute in der Körschtalklause essen und hatten einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt. Als Vorspeisen gab es eine sehr leckere Gulaschsuppe und Bruschetta. Danach hatten wir Lammhaxe und Rinderleber – beides hervorragend zubereitet und geschmacklich wirklich top. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir aber das Gastroteam: super freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl und willkommen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können die Körschtalklause absolut weiterempfehlen!

Hervorragendes Essen in diesem kleinen Lokal. Von Beginn an haben wir uns wirklich wohl gefühlt. Die Speisekarte umfasst genau die richtige Anzahl an Gerichten und Getränken. Die Speisen sind unglaublich lecker und auch hervorragend angerichtet. Leider war die Schweinshaxe etwas sehr knusprig und dunkel geraten. Dadurch war auch das Fleisch selbst sehr trocken geworden. Dennoch sind alle sehr satt und zufrieden aus dem Lokal gegangen. Auch auf zusätzliche Wünsche wurde prompt eingegangen. Getränke und Nachtische ebenfalls alles top. Beim Ambiente habe ich einen Stern abgezogen, da es zwar genütlich war, aber doch ein wenig der ungarische Flair fehlte. Bis auf ein paar Bildern war nichts wirklich ungarisch zu spüren. Dennoch ein tolles Lokal und wirklich eine Empfehlung dort Essen zu gehen. Danke an das ganze Team vor Ort, dass wir so bewirtet wurden.

Kölschtalklause ist ein Restaurant wohin wir immer sehr gerne hingehen. Das Essen ist sehr authentisch, lecker, reichlich und eine Augenweide. Mir lief das Wasser im Mund zusammen während ich die Fotos von den Speisen zusammengesucht habe. Wir freuen uns immer sehr darauf hinzugehen. Der Chef macht fast alle Wünsche wahr. Es gibt auch vegetarische und Vegane Speisen. Was uns sehr wichtig ist, weil wir kein Fleisch essen. Das Team ist sehr harmonisch mit einander und es herrscht eine sehr freundliche, herzliche und lustige Stimmung im Restaurant ohne daß sie aufdringlich ist. Wer will kann sich auch die Beine vertreten , weil das Restaurant im Grünen liegt. Wir sind hier immer sehr zufrieden.

We visited the Körschtalklause for the first time today for their traditional St. Martin's Day goose dinner 👍. We received a very warm welcome from the owner and were served very kindly 👍. A very cozy restaurant, and the food was absolutely delicious!! A special treat was the Hungarian band, which created a truly unique atmosphere 🎻🎶. It was a fantastic feeling to see the faces of our German friends when they tasted Hungarian food for the first time. We took them to the best place. Very nice, friendly and attentive staff and the food is divine. We will be regular guests here.

A truly cozy Hungarian restaurant with delicious food and friendly service. The dishes are authentic and prepared with great care. Our Halloween evening there was especially lovely – we carved pumpkins together and had a wonderful time. Highly recommended! 🎃🇭🇺

We went here for dinner with friends last Saturday. The menu is very clear and the dishes are well-chosen. It's especially worth noting that most dishes are available in small or large portions. The food was excellent, the prices very reasonable, and the service outstanding. We were actually surprised that there were no other guests on a Saturday evening. With this quality, these prices, and the excellent service, it's a real hidden gem.

We celebrated a 60th birthday here with about 15 people and were very satisfied in every way. The Hungarian cuisine was excellent, the food fresh and tasty. It was especially nice that we could play our own music over the existing sound system. A private area was available for the celebration, which was perfectly adequate for our group. The value for money is excellent, and the staff were consistently friendly and accommodating. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable evening – highly recommended.

Update September 2025 (wedding anniversary): Gabor has passed the Körschtalklause on to Zolt. The service and friendliness have remained. Unfortunately, the chef or the recipes have changed. The soup was laced with convenience foods. The goulash tasted extremely strongly of caraway, and the pork was very dry. My wife and I both couldn't tolerate the food. I have to deduct stars from the original review for the food. Due to the intolerance, we probably won't be coming back. It's a shame. But all the best anyway. Early 2022: At Gabor's, goulash is good, everything is good! 😁 Great cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and incredibly delicious food. No quibbles! Highly recommended. 👍 Update September 2022: We celebrated our wedding at the Körschtalklause. And it was so fantastic! Gabor was the perfect host, the food was incredibly delicious, and all the guests were very satisfied. And the event price was more than fair. 6 out of 5 stars. 🤩

Good Hungarian food, although some dishes are too small/expensive. The cucumber salad is definitely too expensive (€6.70) for this small bowl of already yellowing cucumbers, and the liver definitely didn't come with enough side dishes. The schnitzel was excellent value for money. The mixed salad's dressing was a ready-made dressing; the same dressing as the cucumber salad would have been better, which was great. The chicken paprika was really good. Overall, it could have been improved a bit, but it was okay 🙂 Together with three soft drinks, it came to €73 for three people.

The main courses were generally good and plentiful. The side dish advertised by the proprietor (cucumber salad with Hungarian sausage and yogurt) was "recommended" without a price tag, and while it did taste good, the price was, in my opinion, simply outrageous – €6.70 is far too much for a few slices of cucumber with yogurt.

This weekend we had dinner at the Körschtalklause restaurant in Scharnhausen and enjoyed a show by Ferenc Lendvai's gypsy orchestra. Pleasant company, exceptional service and a very delicious dinner awaited us. We have been here several times since Zsolt took over the restaurant at the beginning of the year. Food was tasty, beer was cold and personell is really nice and warm 👌. They are bit secluded to the side but if you are nearby pay them a visit.

We visited this restaurant on Friday (June 27, 2025) for a wine tasting evening. Zsolt conjured up a three-course fine dining menu that paired perfectly with the wines. The wines came from a good winery near Lake Balaton. The winemaker presented his wines himself. The entire presentation was bilingual. A wonderful evening with great food and good wines, and friendly service. Thank you, we'll be happy to come back again.

If you love Hungarian cuisine, you've come to the right place!

The Körschtalklause is located somewhat inconspicuously next to the sports hall. Upon entering, you'll find a beautifully decorated Hungarian restaurant. You'll receive an incredibly warm welcome, equally friendly service, and a very varied menu. The fact that they offer four vegetarian dishes is also a unique feature. Many restaurants offer either none or a maximum of two. The food was excellent, and as a big eater, I was very satisfied with the quantity. There were several of us. We can therefore highly recommend the schnitzel, goulash, and eggplant balls. The price is also absolutely unbeatable. We'd be happy to come back.

Very delicious food; we had venison soup, liver, and devil's langos, as well as pancakes for dessert! Great food! Very friendly service, very close to authentic Hungarian cuisine. The successor to the legendary Gábor also serves wonderful Hungarian food. With the warm Hungarian hospitality. And best of all, you can spend a wonderful day here with the whole family, the kids can really let off steam on the football field and playground. Ideally located for a bike ride or a short/long walk in the Körschtal. We always enjoy coming here with our Hungarian family to large and small celebrations, now at Zsolt.
