Mhh. Unfortunately the currywurst wasn't for me. The service was acceptable. What bothered me was the environment, which was very dirty, everything was full of pigeon droppings, even if the snack bar was reasonably clean.

The currywurst is the best there is. You can skip the curry bulette. Personally, I find it such a shame when I order extra onions with my currywurst and then I really get very little out of it. I pay an extra euro for it. The price and cost of goods are simply not right. You should really be a little more generous here.

Disgusting: i was waiting for fries. The elder woman with short hair pulled out her 3rd teeth and pushed them back in her mouth with her right hand then she directly used her dirty hand to put the fry fork into the fries.

In order to explain this experience to you in as much detail as possible, I would now proceed step by step. Even before my humble arrival, we had to advance under a tram tunnel. Unfortunately, a very vicious and unfriendly pigeon almost pooped on me (you should stab them all). After this very interesting incident, we then had to wait in a very long line (longer than mine). But appearances are clouding. It took less than 5 minutes and I had my currywurst with fries in my hand. However, I had ordered two currywurst with fries and she only gave me one with fries because she misunderstood me. At first I thought she wasn't German, but that point turned out to be incorrect too. However, I was still a bit offended that she then joked with me, and I almost saw myself as a victim of bullying. After this sober experience, the highlight of the spectacle came: the currywurst (I love sausages). The sauce was really very strong and increased my personal taste a bit. The sausage was also super tasty, but for my taste it was a bit too mushy like my sausage (a little harder would have been good). The fries were very nicely salted and crispy. All in all, the currywurst with fries was really, really tasty. Now you might think that this detailed review is finished, but I would like to introduce you to one incident that I consider to be very important. There was a very muscular man standing behind me in the waiting line. I didn't think anything of it, but this man (if you can even say man these days, maybe he identifies as a non-binary unicorn) was wearing a BFC Dynamo hat. Then I stared at him and he looked back at me. This look was a very aggressive and also intense look. Then I looked away, the “man” in contrast continued to look at me. I don't really want to tell them because I'm really embarrassed, but when I saw that look it just came out of me. I shit my pants. I would like to thank you for reading this detailed review and have a nice stay at the best currywurst stall in the world.

This is the best Currywurst in Berlin

My old home, Prenzlauer Berg. Here I feasted on a currywurst with a hot broth in the good old GDR times. Unfortunately, after the fall of the Wall, the taste of the snack deteriorated greatly. Today I wanted to know it again and dared to do it. I really enjoyed the sausage and my broth took me back a bit to my childhood. Luckily you can sit there, which wasn't possible before. All in all, 4 well-intentioned stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 from us.

Located right under the metro line, Konnopke is a must-go for every Berliner and Berlin visitor. In most cases a large queue will be standing there but it all goes very quickly. This means that you gotta make up your mind before it's your turn. Otherwise they might get a bit snappy, but nevermind. Once the currywurst and pommes are there, just enjoy the atmosphere and of course the food.

The currywurst here is absolutely amazing! Perfectly seasoned, with a really tasty sauce and crispy fries – simply a pleasure. If you're looking for a really good currywurst, you've come to the right place. There is also super nice service. The staff is friendly, attentive and ensures that you feel comfortable as a guest. If you have a bit of an affinity for Ostalgie, you can't avoid a visit to Konopke. This memorable snack bar is located in the Berlin district of Prenzlauer Berg. We easily took the subway to Eberswalder Str. and from there just took the street. The ladies at the snack bar were all really nice. The selection was manageable. We chose the classic currywurst with fries. It was really really tasty. I can only recommend it! You can enjoy your currywurst both at the bar table and in the seating behind the snack bar. I will definitely come back on my next visit to Berlin.

What can you say... legend! Sausage is a little more expensive than others, but tasty. Sure, there are many other sausage stalls in Berlin, some even better, some cheaper, some nicer - but none like Konnopke! In the middle of Prenzlauer Berg.

Saw this place on Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" and I must say that it has stood the test of time. Definitely worth a visit, even if it is far from many of the main attractions. The wait is worth it! Nice staff as well. Try the currywurst paired with pommes frites and a beer!

The butcher Konnopke has several branches in Berlin for his craft. The best known is the currywurst with and without casings, at the Eberswalder Straße subway station. There the Metzker also offers a small pavilion for meetings and celebrations, under the subway viaduct.

WORLD'S BEST CURRYWURST ever. I'm actually not a fan of currywurst. But I can't say no to Konnopke's Currywurst. Really delicious sausage and the sauce is simply a poem. You almost always have to wait in line but it's definitely worth the wait. And the staff is very nice. Whenever we are in Berlin we plan a trip to Konnopke 👍🏻

The subway rattles above it. Cars rush past next to it. And yet the Konnopkes never gave up, continually optimized the place and even built a small seating tent under the elevated train. They have a range of fan merchandise, have funny Santa hats on, are very friendly... and well, they have currywurst and other snacks. The cult sausage, like everything else, is a matter of taste. I found them okay in terms of price and taste, nothing more, nothing less. Nevertheless, you should be here once and get in line. Simply because you can feel Berlin here.

Haven't been here for a very long time. I had fond memories of Konnopke's during GDR times. Then came the price shock. Curry 3.30 and rolls (not great) 0.60€. The store also makes money from merchandising. I much prefer Curry Keule in Wedding and it's much cheaper. Everyone needs to know what they are paying for a curry. Bon appetit.

Worst curry sausage after four days in Berlin. We previously ate sausages at Wittys, Curry 61 and Kuhdamm 195. As the previous speakers have already written here, Konnopke's apparently only lives from its reputation. Sausage was soggy and disgusting, the sauce was unspectacular, and the bun was sticky. It's not worth the journey there. As I've also read here, they apparently have to sell mugs and merch to make money.

Si eres fan de la comida callejera tradicional, este lugar es para ti. Honestamente, para mi gusto había demasiado ketchup en el curry wurst, y no tenía un sabor lo suficientemente fuerte al curry; pero las papas fritas eran bastante buenas al igual que el bratwurst básico. Oh yeah, as a sausage freak, I can't remember it's always been that way. Well, so that the store (in my opinion) still makes sales, they sell bags, cups and the like. When Ms. Waltraut Ziervogel still ran the store, people liked to go here for a sausage after their shift, but the good atmosphere here is gone. Me and my friendship are really dissatisfied with what a classic has become.

I think Konnopke is totally overrated. Unfriendly staff and the food is okay but expensive. They only do well because there is no competition nearby! If Curry were 36, the majority of people would go there.

You have to like it somehow. With one of the most famous places in Berlin for the famous Currywurst. However, a bit poorly organized. The queues are relatively long and payment is made at the same station where the food is handed out. This means it takes a relatively long time to get something. (Saturday 6 p.m.: approx. 25 minutes). Our curry sausages were ok, but the portion size was quite manageable and the taste was a bit boring. I also found it relatively expensive for a snack bar, but I think you also pay for the name here. It's great that both Berliners and tourists come together here. You always sit or stand at the table with different people and you often have great conversations. Eating in the middle of traffic under the subway bridge is something, but it is also relatively loud and not for everyone. Conclusion: You should try it out. But there are definitely better places in Berlin for a currywurst.

So we had dinner here today and we were really looking forward to it because we heard a lot of good things about here... Wrong thought! The service is terrible, the employees are totally unfriendly and disrespectful and the food is not good. (Tastes like the currywurst from Kaufland) except for the fries, which were fine. Not open after 6pm? Not open on Sundays?? What kind of snack bar is supposed to be where you can't even get a sausage after work because it's already closed? I would like that luxury too! Nach empfehlungen von Freunden aus Berlin , waren wir hier Mittagessen. Aber leider waren wir schon entäuscht. Currywurst ? Das war eine Nicht gerade spetzielle Wurst mit Tomaten Ketchup und gamz wenig Corrypulver. Nicht am entferntesten etwas mit Currywurst in meinem Sinne zu tun. Die Pommes waren aber sehr Lecker und die Atmosphere unter der Brücke war sehenswert. Aber nicht unser Geschmack.

Two vegan sausage dummies ordered with fries and beer. beer from the Kühli top. Fries red and white also great. The vegan sausage dummy is chopped into small pieces and fried really really dead. it was harder than the fries or concrete. Why do I offer the vegan option if I prepare it so poorly? Then you should say: we don't want vegan, buy meat. either offer it and do it properly or leave it alone. Haven't been there for years and was now disappointed. So I won't come back either.
