Unfortunately, the country inn is no longer a guesthouse, meaning there's no longer any food available. We stayed there overnight for a celebration nearby. Due to the long journey, we hoped to have something to eat upon arrival – wrong. The inn itself now only operates as a guesthouse. The rooms are rather spartan, typical of a farmhouse. However, the entire building is clean. It was nice that we could choose when we wanted breakfast. Fresh eggs were available in various flavors. The selection of cold cuts, cheeses, and sweets was very limited. Of course, if there aren't a lot of people staying there, there's a smaller selection. But I would have at least liked a few more yogurt toppings (crunchy, seeds, etc.), as well as more muesli in general. The kids missed chocolate spread for their rolls.

We came to Hohe Tanne to hide from the fireworks in the city, with our cat. The hotel completely exceeded my expectations! It is so clean, cozy and nice, with very friendly and welcoming staff, clean and well equipped rooms, good breakfast and most importantly, they are in such a peaceful and picturesque location, exactly what we needed and could spend a peaceful night with our furbaby. We will definitely be returning!

I wouldn't order from here again. Very poor service. Missing food wasn't delivered, and the order was also incorrect. The staff was very unfriendly. There was also hair in the food…
