I've been buying grilled chicken here every two weeks for almost a year now. Before that, I searched for ages in Esslingen for the best. And here, right in the heart of the city, the grilled chicken is always fresh, hot, and simply delicious! It's a cozy café with very friendly and attentive staff and excellent, fast service! Flat cola. Soggy fries, the meat had that typical cheap taste – frozen with gristle. I got ketchup instead of mayo and only 6 nuggets instead of the 12 I paid for. It couldn't be worse.

The staff are incredibly friendly and clearly enjoy their work. The food is ready very quickly and absolutely delicious, better than McDonald's or Burger King. I highly recommend it; it's also conveniently located in the pedestrian zone in Esslingen. The best place to park is at the Pliensauturm parking garage, then walk.

We happened to walk past the wooden spoon and then decided to let her eat her food. I would have half a chicken, fries and nuggets with it. Everything was very fresh. Julia helped us a lot with choosing the menu and also served us. Thank you very much for this. I can highly recommend the wooden spoon in Esslingen.

Staff super cheeky and unfriendly, I ordered the 2 burger menu today and didn't get an extra drink. Of course I thought that the drink would be included in a menu, but no, it looks like I was wrong. Then the lady at the checkout asked me if I would like a drink with it, of course I said yes because it was a menu and I thought the drink came with it but no, I had to pay 4 euros on top for my drink. For the price of €13.80 in total, this is a complete disgrace, especially when the food also tastes bad. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, they'd rather go somewhere else if they want to save something and have good food.

A very good place to taste a variety of food in Esslingen. The overall atmosphere is too good and they have very supportive and friendly staff. They have small snacks for kids as well.

I wouldn't give one star if I had the chance. The burger was not only small but also abnormally sticky. It felt more like a strange paste filled my mouth and stuck to my teeth everywhere. Thrown away after 3 bites.

I was there on Sunday July 7th, 2024 when the weather was nice. The places outside were very pleasant and clean, I would definitely recommend it. In terms of service, everything was very professional, the reception was nice and friendly...food came relatively quickly, especially faster than at the competitors in the city! 👏 (taste also great 👍)

It was kind of disgusting 20 years ago when there was also a McDonalds in Esslingen and it still is. Revised rating. Stick with it. Disgusting and completely incompetent at that.

I like to go to Kochlöffel and use the app to order. The staff is super friendly and always thinks ahead. I ordered food 15 minutes in advance and it was ready on time. Small delays on my part wouldn't be a problem as the food is kept warm. I ordered 2 variants of the Kross Chicken and they were labeled to make it easier to distinguish between them. In addition to the good service there is good taste.

A very good wooden spoon restaurant. Chicken, upgraded fries, burgers... everything fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly, the prices are very reasonable. Conclusion: clear recommendation!

Very comfortable wooden spoon, a Turkish lady at the checkout was very friendly to us, she also made sure that everything was right and tasted good, unfortunately staff like that is rare these days, they look after you like a treasure 😉. We will be back.

Fries without ketchup! Currywurst without a bun! Things that are taken for granted cost enormous amounts of money here! Disgraceful store! The only thing that helps here is avoidance! McDonald and Burger King can do it better!!!!

Yesterday, March 31st, I was at Kochlöffel in Esslingen. It was very clean, the food was very tasty and the employees were very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend it if you want something quick and tasty to eat.

The staff were very nice and polite and the food was delivered quickly. However, you shouldn't take a menu! We paid €9.50 for a menu for fries, 4 nuggets and a small burger. However, if you order the whole thing individually (see picture), then you pay €2.60 for the Kross Chicken burger and €4.70 for fries with 3 nuggets (Krossie bag), which is then €7.30. Unfortunately we only discovered this at home. From my point of view, the disposable packaging is also negative, even though we ate there.

Unfortunately, this time in Esslingen we were disappointed with the chicken, we didn't eat it and the boss of the shift at 4 p.m. was very unfriendly to the employees! It's also very loud in the kitchen! 😡

Anyone looking for a restaurant atmosphere will quickly realize that this is a fast food restaurant! Of course, there are nice and clean rooms here too and the food is particularly good and the products are fresh and taste delicious! I like to buy again because chicken always tastes good and is well done! Fries and salad are the same as anywhere, to be honest there are no differences!

Of course it is a fast food restaurant. But it is very clean and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The staff is very friendly and even as a vegetarian you get your money's worth. Reasonably priced. My vegetarian cheeseburger was delicious, as were the fries 🍟. The bratwurst looked delicious too. The coleslaw was good but could have been a little bigger. The selection of salads was rather small. Would have liked to order a mixed salad. Nevertheless we will come back. The location is pleasant and you can always find a nice spot. Yes, I know wooden spoons from my childhood. Another word about cleanliness. There's no need to hide from McDonalds & Co.

No matter what it is like today, this store shaped my childhood. As children, teenagers and young people we often went there with friends. Back then you could get delicious burgers for 1-2 euros. Unimaginable today.

A warm welcome, the restaurant is very clean. The chicken was delicious, the coleslaw and the fries too, we ate very well; the waitress was very nice and brought us our chocolate churros to the table, we are French and we traveled from Wagenburgstraße to eat at Kochloffel. The staff is very polite and smiling, we will come back with great pleasure

Kochlöffel is apparently letting this branch rot. Everything is dilapidated. Austerity policy? Or will this branch be closing soon? The food is great, the staff does what it can and is very friendly. I can't understand some of the reviews here. Some customers behave rudely towards the saleswomen and are then surprised when they defend themselves (I was once an observer of a customer spitting on a saleswoman!) Conclusion: food great, staff great, dilapidated branch.

DISCRIMINATION AND RACISM TO CUSTOMERS. There were two ladies in front of us in line who didn't speak perfect German. The saleswoman (still very young, blonde, curly hair and glasses) then said that the two ladies shouldn't speak "stupid Ukrainian" but rather German. When we tried to confront her about it, she insulted us and followed us outside, where she swore at us. This is not only an impudence but also really frightening that such people still exist and are allowed to serve people. This immature and hateful behavior disgusts me and it made me feel really uncomfortable. So watch out for yourself

The food is always freshly prepared and is always a great taste experience! The staff is always super friendly and you receive a very warm welcome! As well as the ambience! Schlechter Service Personal. Einmal und nie wieder. Essen kalt und nicht durch gebraten. Sterne hat der nicht verdient. Schade fand ihn früher sehr gut.

Donnerstag, 07.09.2023, 13:45 Uhr: Wir haben es Mal wieder gewagt, ein Kochlöffel; Restaurant zu besuchen und zu testen. Unser Ergebnis: Das Ambiente ist einfachster Standart, wirkt abgenutzt und renovierungsbedürftig. Das gesamte Lokal ist unsauber und teils dreckig. Papierhandtücher liegen auf dem verschmierten Boden. Die Toiletten liegen im Untergeschoss und sind daher nicht behindertengerecht. Zudem sind sie niedrig und eng und wirklich nur für die dringendste Notdurft zu benutzen. Service: Das Personal ist langsam, wobei Eine arbeitet und der Andere zuschaut. Bestellt man das angeschlagene Menü, wird nach fast kompletter Fertigstellung nachgefragt, korrigiert und ergänzt. Resultat: das Essen ist lauwarm. Während wir draußen gesessen haben, kam eine weitere Mitarbeiterin und die beiden Damen haben sich lautstark über Arbeit, Arbeitsmoral, die Chefin und die allgemeinen Zustände unterhalten, für Jedermann mitzuhören, ob er wollte oder nicht. Ein absolutes No-Go!!! Essen: Currywurst, Pommes mit Mayo und ein Wasser. Die Currywurst war lauwarm, wenig gebraten und geschmacklich im unteren Bereich. Die Currysoße war hingegen lecker. Die Pommes waren nahezu kalt, teilweise schon das zweite Mal frittiert und jetzt nur noch weich und laberig. Das stille Wasser war kalt und ohne Beanstandung. Für den Preis kann man mehr erwarten. Ergebnis: Man muss nicht besonders empfindlich sein um dieses Lokal zu meiden. Wir haben andere Lokalitäten entdeckt, die besser, frischer, hygienischer und preiswerter sind. Im Übrigen müssen wir anmerken, dass wir mehrfach Kochlöffel -Restaurants getestet haben und leider mit immer dem selben, schlechten Ergebnis. Die Zentrale verspricht Besserung, leider bleibt es dann auch dabei. Schade!!

Online bestellt auf Abholungszeit in Filiale wurde behauptet das Zeit zur Abholung erst in 2 Stunden mit Personal kann man nicht reden bzw verstehen nichts.

Die Auswahl an Speisen hört sich gut an, geschmeckt hat das Veggiemenü und die Süßkartoffelpommes auch ganz okay. Der Service war allerdings offensichtlich genervt/gelangweilt und eher unfreundlich. Abends wurde mir dann schlecht und ich musste die ganze Nacht spucken, am nächsten Tag Fieber - habe den leisen Verdacht, dass das vom Kochlöffelessen kam, und irgendetwas eine Lebensmittelvergiftung ausgelöst hat. Würde nicht noch einmal hingehen.

Es ist einfach nicht der „Kochlöffel“ von früher….!! Man wird unfreundlich bedient, wünsche werden nur zaghaft und ungern erfüllt ..! Der Ablagewagen ist immer überfüllt, so das man neben den Speiseresten der anderen sitzt..! Ich meide es dort zu essen!! SCHADE !!

Die alte blonde Besdienung an der Kochlöffel Kasse in Esslingen verhält sich anmaßend und sehr unfreundlich zur Kundschaft. Eine junge Frau mit Familie wollte sechs halbe Hähnchen, die Bedienung wollte İhr aber keine sechs Hähnchen verkaufen und hat sie angeschnauzt , sie solle gefälligst vorher bestellen sie verkaufe ihr keine sechs halben Hâhnchen, dabei waren noch 3 ganze und ein halbes Hähnchen zur Verfügung. Die andere Bedienung wusste nicht was sie machen sollte. Solch ein Verhalten kann sich keine Gastronomie erlauben. An der Stelle der jungen Frau hätte ich mein Geld zurück verlangt!
