Knusperz in Dortmund

I ordered from there yesterday. The ordering process went smoothly, but the food was a bit of a disappointment. The bread on the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich was way too soft, which caused the entire piece of bread to rip and spill out. It tasted okay, but there were only maybe seven pieces of meat in the sandwich, and they were also very tough. The Smash Burger was solid.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't tasty at all, completely different from the pictures. The cheese sauce, flooded with the cheese sauce, tasted of dish soap and lots of spices. Jalapenos had no taste, and the burger was cold. The Sprite was warm.

Very friendly, good service. The food is delicious, with generous portions and beautifully presented. A wide selection of drinks and dishes. A cozy atmosphere. Thank you! We'll be back.

I recently had the pleasure of eating at this American burger restaurant, and it was simply fantastic! The servers were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel immediately welcome. The ambiance is also simply fantastic—cozy, modern, and perfect for a relaxed evening. The burgers are, of course, also to die for—fresh, juicy, and made with high-quality ingredients. My meat was burnt and the bread was very dry. I wouldn't recommend it. The food was absolutely terrible! The atmosphere was quite okay.

I had the Philly Cheese and Teriyaki Wings delivered. The price is a bit high, but both are very, very tasty. If I could wish for something, it would be a little more meat in the Philly Cheese.

Simply WOW!!! Food is an absolute 100/10 I had the Classic Philly, my wife had the Nashville Burger. The fries are great!!! Drinks selection is also very good, there is something for everyone. The staff was really nice and very attentive. The atmosphere is American and, above all, very clean. We will definitely come back. :)

rtmund That absolutely thrilled me! The restaurant combines authentic American cuisine with a modern, inviting atmosphere. Particularly noteworthy are the smash burgers - the best I've had the chance to try so far. The freshness of the ingredients and the perfectly crispy patties speak for themselves. The Philly cheesesteaks are also a treat that is worth every visit. For the sweet ending, the Nutella churros are a must - real taste explosions that will be remembered.

Disgustingly honest. I only ate mac'n cheese and most likely got food poisoning. Had to break 4 times before the last piece of cheese (probably moldy) came out of my stomach. The taste was already foreign to me when I ate it, but I didn't want to waste the food and still tried to finish it. (I regret it very much) Some of the things advertised on Instagram don't even exist. (E.g. Philly cheesesteak) In addition, the staff is inattentive and unfriendly. I definitely don't recommend this store.

Stopped by today and treated ourselves to the Classic Philli and the Pulled Beef Burger. I'm not exaggerating when I say that the food was beyond outstanding! In addition to the delicious main course, we were greeted by the delicious Oreo shakes which were incredibly tasty 👌🏽 We were warmly welcomed by the waitress and were taken seriously as customers, which is unfortunately no longer standard these days. The atmosphere is great and there are really good seating options. We'll be there more often soon!

Hello, I can't understand the good reviews at all. You don't have to be a foodie to realize that the food is absolutely not freshly prepared. I was really excited about the store, I was really impressed by the pictures on Instagram and I couldn't wait to eat there. I went there with my girlfriend and we tried many different dishes. It was strange that the food was ready within 5 minutes. Of course it was simply put in the microwave and heated up, which of course we also observed. At least it would have tasted good... A shop with a lot of potential. It's a shame that nothing is freshly prepared there. One of the worst stores I've ever been to! My answer to her reaction: I really don't want to offend you. Everyone should do their own business and earn their money. But I'm not a liar. You can still see the microwave clearly in our videos. More appearance than reality!

Nothing special and nothing you have to go out of your way for. Staff initially nice and friendly, even openly asking for criticism; When this came, there was only a disinterested shrug of the shoulders. Dishes are very, very small and of the highest quality. The photos on Instagram are obviously very well photographed.

The food was really anything but delicious. It was OVERLOADED with cheap nacho cheese sauce (which was sour), and the meat was extremely stingy. At the same time, instead of fresh vegetables (peppers), there were pickled peppers from the jar that were really too sour. You almost didn't taste the meat at all because of all the sauce and the sour pepperoni. It was extremely stuffy in the store and the benches were extremely uncomfortable. At the same time, there is a “Hot Deal” that consists of a burger or “cheesesteak” and a Rewe cookie. Once and really never again. ps. I can't say anything about the burger because there was no meat and that's why we didn't get a burger. But if you want to eat a Philly cheesesteak, you've really come to the wrong place here (unfortunately)!

Unfortunately I was deceived by the good reviews. Things from the supermarket next door are thrown together and served here. The cheese sauce that tasted like chemicals gave me a stomach ache. The biggest outrage was the small supermarket “cookie” that was offered as a dessert. Never experienced anything like that. In addition, we were not allowed to use the discount you offer on Neotaste because you would already “save enough” with the menu. There is no such restriction in the app. Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with gastronomy. Very disappointed…

Went to Knusperz for the first time today and were thrilled. From popcorn to burgers to chocolate cake, everything is top and very tasty! Very friendly service, top service. All in all very recommendable. We will be back definitely!

Bedauerlicherweise haben wir uns von einem Instagram Reel auf den Laden bringen lassen und waren maßlos enttäuscht. In dem Video auf Instagram wurden unglaublich viele leckere Gerichte gezeigt und auch die Instagram Seite vom Restaurant ist meiner Meinung nach, sehr irreführend. Man bekommt das Gefühl eine große Auswahl an leckeren selbstgemachten Gerichten zu bekommen. Die Wahrheit ist aber leider, dass es auf der ganzen Karte zu dem Zeitpunkt nur ca. 10 Gerichte gab (mit Nachttisch inbegriffen) wir hatten uns total drauf gefreut aber jedes Gericht wirkte so als wäre es aus der Metro zusammengekauft. Unter Mac and cheese verstehe ich auch was anderes als gekochte Nudeln mit ein bisschen Käse drauf. Dazu finde ich auch die Reaktionen/Antworten auf Google von dem Inhaber sehr unprofessional und finde es schade, dass man sich bei Kritik sofort persönlich angegriffen fühlt und passiv aggressiv antwortet. Sehr schade. Nie wieder.

Unfortunately no 5 stars for the food. My personal opinion is that the Surf N' Turf Cheesesteak unfortunately didn't have enough meat. For this price you would have wished for more. The bread was fluffy and tasty, ingredients like peppers and chili cheese sauce were tasty, but there was also too much pepper. Service was super friendly and attentive. Good advice and fast service. Dessert was ok, but you have to try the croissants 👍👌. Shop very clean and good seating. So next time “please” more meat and you’ll be assured of 5 stars! Side orders were also delicious and should definitely be tried. The shakes at least looked really tempting, but I didn't order them and only heard from other guests how delicious they were.

Were there for the first time today with two people. And definitely not for the last time, great advice from the service staff, very competent advice, very strong! The food was very tasty and left you wanting more. We each had the menu for €15.50 and were very hungry and both were full. The cookie for dessert is to die for. Even if you're a vegetarian you'll get your money's worth here! Can be recommended without hesitation :) We look forward to the next visit.

For Instagram it's enough to take a few nice pictures. The taste was really not good. The mac'n'cheese were too dry and spicy that burned the sandwich. The waitress was unmotivated, couldn't remember the orders and said stupid things at every opportunity. There was also some savings on the benches, which are relatively short and hard. The place doesn't invite you to linger and the staff smoking outside the door is a deterrent. To do this, dishes are advertised on Instagram that are not on the menu and that the waitress doesn't even know. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDATION.

We went to this snack bar today at 7 p.m. and wanted something to eat. There are no notices in the restaurant stating that you are not allowed to sit down. When we sat down, we were rudely told that everything was fully booked until 9 p.m., even though there were only three tables occupied in the store itself. After we left the “restaurant”, we saw on the website that you could have made a reservation at 7:30 p.m., but that makes no sense when the whole place is “empty”. After my experience today, I won't go to this store again even though the place looks nice.

I was there twice. You can't beat a pulled beef burger!!!!!!! Nowhere else have I eaten a burger as delicious as here. Top. Desserts/sweets...a dream. Unfortunately, Philly Cheese wasn't my thing. The meat was cut into pieces that were way too big and the steamed peppers made the delicious baguette wet and soggy - a shame. The crispy noodles were MEGAAAAA DELICIOUS. Would have liked to eat there, but we weren't served. Reserved for 7:45 p.m., when we came in we were just looked at, but that was it and then we just sat down. After half an hour, after the waitresses walked past us several times, we left. If it was busy and there was a lot to do, that's totally fine, but the place wasn't particularly busy and the staff were more interested in rummaging around than doing anything.

We were there for the first time today and it was just great. The pulled beef burger was super juicy and the Philly beef stake was a hit, especially the cheese sauce. The nachos were hot and crispy, the dips were all delicious. The pasta chips weren't to our taste, but they were also freshly made, only the seasoning wasn't to our liking. The shakes were a great ending. But what made the whole thing really special was the service. We have rarely had such a nice and helpful waitress. She explained all the dishes to us, asked us how it tasted and was just super personable. With 2 main courses with side dishes as well as 2 drinks and 2 shakes for under 50€ you really can't say anything other than we'll be happy to come back.

Good, tasty burgers and baguettes. The service was super friendly, the new operation was really great. The meat is something different, tasty and at a fair price. It's a bit of a shame that the "standards" don't exist additionally. A burger joint without minced meat patties, without fries and without ketchup is quite special. Our younger daughter went home hungry.

My wife and I had dinner with our friends at "Knusperz" today. My friend discovered the small restaurant on Instagram. The drive from Kamen was worth it, the food was great, the service from the young lady was very friendly and accommodating. We can really recommend a visit.

Crunch Yesterday we were at Knusperz on Hohe Straße. We still had two Groupon vouchers for a pulled pork burger with a soft drink and a shake. According to information, the deal has now been canceled in March and can therefore no longer be purchased. The interior design is modern, cozy and inviting. We ordered at the counter and the food was brought to our table, but it is also fully served directly at the table. For the burgers we also chose macaroni from the air fryer with aioli. There is also mac'n cheese as a side dish. There are no fries etc. here. The burgers themselves are juicy, well topped and the pulled pork is really tender. Plus a delicious brioche bun. Absolutely nothing to complain about and very tasty. I thought the noodles from the air fryer were really, really good. Not dry at all and super tasty with the parmesan and herb mix. A great idea and something different than fries. For dessert we chose a Ferrero Rocher and a Giotto shake. Luckily the shakes aren't overly full of frills and are also a reasonable size, because we were actually already full after the burger plus the shared side dish. The shakes are super creamy and taste exactly like the ingredients ordered, plus delicious cream. Perfect. The rest of the menu also reads interestingly with a NY pastrami sandwich and various Phili cheesestake variants. The service staff, despite under-translation, were super friendly and quick. It got really crowded around 7 p.m. and many tables were reserved in advance, so it's definitely worth making a reservation here too. Card payment is also possible. We would definitely like to come back and try out the other sandwiches too.

Many dishes that can be seen online have been removed from the menu. The drinks on the menu were also “sold out”. In addition, a Philly for €14 is too expensive, especially because the taste was rather mediocre. Conclusion: Don't let the pictures on the internet fool you.

Went there today and ate 2 burgers and the Philly cheesesteak twice. The burgers were okay, even if there was a strong smell when eating. We had our problems with the Philly Cheesesteak… It wasn't remotely reminiscent of the original... Unfortunately, the meat was in finger-sized pieces and it was also tough. But I think it was because it was fried for too long, the quality was good but unfortunately it was cut incorrectly so you caught muscle fibers when you bought it. The bread was okay as was the sauce but there was way too much paprika in the bread. In my opinion there is no alternative to BangBang in Cologne and if you want a classic Philly here you are at the wrong address, it is at most a “Philly style sesame baguette with peppers and sauce”... The blonde waitress was super friendly, great service!!!, which unfortunately I can't say about the other lady. The shop has a lot of potential, especially the furnishings are reminiscent of the States, I hope the shop borrows something from the original, then it will be a really cool spot in Dortmund, where there will definitely be people from Essen, Gelsenkirchen, Bochum, Unna etc. will find it!!!

Hello, Last night a friend and I had dinner there. I have to honestly say the service was very friendly and accommodating. Since I'm a picky eater, I first asked if you could change or remove anything from the burgers or baguettes. This was also done with the Chili Cheese Burger. Although you don't have much to choose from, there are no fries or rice as a side dish, just noodles that are first boiled and then fried. That wasn't really my thing. It was too oily for my taste. There is a larger selection of desserts. I actually wanted donuts. However, you didn't have any left. Instead, a delicious cake was prepared for me with the topic I wanted. So really recommended and the service was courteous. I can't complain at all. I will go there again to eat there and try more dishes.

Top shop. Food tastes great and fills you up. We had the Philly Cheese Steak and NY Pastrami. Both were really delicious and the price/performance ratio was right. Service is top notch, very friendly people and the owner is also super nice 👍🏻 As a nightcap there was an espresso on the house. We will be back definitely. We were there for the first time today because we saw a post about it on Instagram. Unfortunately, it will also be the last time. The map has apparently been reduced in size, for example there is no Pinsa anymore. You can still buy vouchers for Pinsa and soft drinks for two people on Groupon. The bread that is normally used for the avocado and feta roasted bread was probably also out, judging by the pictures here. Our roasted bread was in a burger bun… Not all drinks were available either. We were the only guests in the store, and during our visit the music was turned up louder, making it difficult for us to hold a conversation. We preferred to get dessert somewhere else. The service was quite nice. Unfortunately, the owner's comments here under some reviews only make the store less likeable.

Mac n Cheese Philly is absolutely recommended. Good food and quickly prepared.
