This is a must-visit! A fantastic little restaurant right on the harbor. Very friendly service. Even shortly before closing time, and with all tables reserved or occupied, they still made room for us. Great food! Absolutely delicious. Good prices. We'll definitely be back. Thanks to the hosts!

We wanted to eat a schnitzel there on a Sunday around 12:30 p.m. Almost all the outdoor tables were still empty, and no one was sitting inside. However, there were little "Reserved" signs on all the outside tables, but we didn't look inside. Our question to the owner: What should we do now? "Wait, a long wait. And since the inside is also reserved, we'll wait even longer." You expect good food from a restaurant, but also friendly service and a reservation system that keeps space available for walk-ins, at least for a small harborside pub. Neither of these things was available here; we felt as if we should be grateful to be allowed to eat there. Just like back in the GDR. We really didn't want to put ourselves through that, so we left...

I visited the small Hafenklause in Demmin for the first time this afternoon. My colleague recommended the restaurant to me, and I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived at 12:00 PM and the restaurant was just opening. I received a friendly welcome and was given the choice of whether to sit in the dining room or on the terrace. I chose one of the two beach chairs in the beautiful autumn sunshine. I ordered a small Lübzer beer and a still water and then decided on the recommendation: zander with fried potatoes and mustard sauce. The dish was delicious. The sauce is a must-try. I spoke to the waitress, and he said he had to turn away many guests because they didn't make reservations 😔. I was lucky today, but he recommends calling and reserving a table first 😉. I highly recommend the small Hafenklause in Demmin. Friendly service and delicious food. Keep it up!!!

Friday 5 p.m.: We received a friendly welcome and were given a table for two. The sounds from the kitchen made us even more hungry. Schnitzel pounding, sizzling. And then two generous plates arrived, which we had to work through first. It was worth it! If you like hearty food, and especially if you're a schnitzel lover, you'll get your money's worth here! Creative schnitzel variations for which you'll definitely want to be quite hungry! Great! We had the Swiss schnitzel and the Hafenklause. It was difficult to choose. A truly fantastic menu that will amaze you with all the things you can make with a schnitzel!

I've always been enthusiastic about this restaurant, but recently the service has deteriorated considerably. The restaurant opens at 5:30 p.m., they've booked a birthday dinner for 15 people, and at 7:45 p.m., they give you strange looks if you want a quick drink. We were able to finish our Aperol Spritz outside in a plastic cup, so the owners didn't have to wait for us and could close up. 🤨 It's officially open until 9 p.m., though. (The kitchen closes at 7:30 p.m.) The food itself is very, very delicious. 👌🏼 It's a shame I have to report our experience like this. We come here every year for our birthdays, but unfortunately, not anymore.

Besides fish, they mainly serve a variety of schnitzels. Everything is delicious, the service is incredibly friendly, and the value for money is also good. You can sit right next to a tributary of the Peene River that ends there. Reservations are recommended to be on the safe side.

My colleague and I arrived at the restaurant at 8 p.m. and stood at the counter for five minutes without the owner even noticing us. Afterward, he asked us in a bad mood what he could do for us. When we asked if we could get something to eat at that time, he just laughed at us and firmly stated that the kitchen closed at 7:30 p.m. As if that wasn't unfriendly enough, he told his wife(?), who then started laughing loudly... Afterward, we left the "restaurant" and heard the two of them laughing again from a few meters away. That's just unfriendly to me, and it really makes me angry...

For us: the best fish solyanka until the next border...the family atmosphere - you just feel like you've arrived...because we "live where others go on holiday" our address number 1...kind regards, your locals

The portions are generous and the taste is simply great! The service also leaves nothing to be desired: friendly, attentive and fast. The price is also hard to beat compared to other restaurants. There is also a loving decoration that creates a cozy atmosphere. If you're looking for good home cooking at fair prices, you've come to the right place.

We were here today through a recommendation and I can say that we didn't mean it! The atmosphere inside was super cozy and the service was very friendly and attentive. I think the prices are justified for what you get. Lots of different schnitzel variations, which I personally found really interesting. I can only recommend it to anyone looking for good food.

The food and the price-performance ratio is great. Highly recommended. The ambience is also nice, but some chairs should be replaced (seen and worn) and unfortunately the service has also decreased. We were disappointed the first time, it took away from the coziness of the whole thing, even though we always enjoyed going to the small restaurant.

Excellent service and excellent food - pike perch with fried potatoes and honey mustard dip - framed by a great ambience in the cozy dining room. Nothing more is possible. Oh yes. The price. A great little, lovingly designed restaurant, right on the Peene... The service is perfect, funny, attentive but never intrusive. Great Guido! The food was simply great. Whether it was seasoned meat, salad or schnitzel, everything was prepared quickly but simply and deliciously. Price-performance simply unbeatable! Great Ulrike! Just a little tip... The portions don't have to be that huge, a third less for the price would be absolutely sufficient. As a very good eater, I could barely finish my main course... Stay as you are and continue to pamper your guests so well! All the best and see you next time!

The food in the small Hafenklause was good and the price-performance ratio was great. The service, supposedly from the owner, was very good to us. The comments about other guests that we heard due to the proximity to the counter were somewhat negative. It could be dusted again.

This is the best place to eat schnitzel. I ate schnitzel gratinated with pulled pork and cheddar cheese. There are around 20 different types of schnitzel. The fish from the daily menu was also extremely good and tasty. Prices are great and totally justified. The waiter is about the fastest I know because it's his shop and he cares about the well-being of his customers. Simply very commendable!!! MUST VISIT

Tolle Lage! Allerdings nicht auf Touristen eingestellt, und wahrscheinlich bald schon wegen Reichtum geschlossen 😉 Essen nur von 12-13.30Uhr muss man wissen. Wer erst nach 14.00 Uhr kommt hat sein Recht verwirkt, als Gast behandelt zu werden. An einem Sonnabend, 14.45 auf die Frage ob man zum Bier sich ein Fischbrötchen von nebenan holen kann. Ganz klares Nein, mit der Bemerkung, der verkauft auch Bier! Gut, dann haben wir uns da hingesetzt. Wir wünschen Viel Erfolg mit dem Konzept!

Leider nicht offen gewesen zum Mittag

Wegen dem guten Ruf und vielen Weiterempfehlungen, Spontan an einem Sonntag mit dem Boot angelegt ohne vorher reserviert zu haben wurden wir schon schräg von der Seite angeguckt und fühlten uns nicht willkommen. Nach einem freundlichen guten Tag unsererseits, meinte ich oh das ist aber noch leer, kam die Antwort wir haben ja auch noch geschlossen. Wir meinten dann dazu kein Problem wir warten dann kurz. Daraufhin wurden wir gefragt ob wir reserviert hätten, dieses verneinten wir, darauf kam die nette Aussage ohne Reservierung und spontan läuft hier gar nichts. Daraufhin meinten wir bloß, dass wir nur eine Kleinigkeit essen wollen. Darauf folgte die Aussage „na kochen muss ich ja trotzdem, ich habe das Essen ja nicht in der Schublade“. Angeboten haben sie uns dann doch einen kleinen Platz in der prallen Sonne, wir sind dann aber weiter gefahren. Schade hätten gerne das Essen probiert.

Es ist ein sehr ruhiger Platz wo man entspannt essen kann. Das Personal ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Essen was sehr schnell fertig und super lecker. Kann ich echt nur weiter empfehlen.

Obwohl ich 13.15 da war Küche schließ 13.30 bekam man nichts mehr zu essen. Keller frech und unverschämt. Selbst die Nachbarn am Tisch die noch Essen bekamen waren kurz vor mir da haben den Kopf geschüttelt. Wegen Reichtum geschlossen haben es wohl nicht nötig.

Richtig freundliches und kompetentes Personal... sogar glutenfreies Essen wird angeboten unter toller vorheriger Absprache und fachmännischem Austausch! Die Räumlichkeit ist gemütlich, jedoch nichts für eine "Massenveranstaltung". ICH denke, dass die Location mit 20-25 Personen ausgeschöpft ist... Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder : )

Wir wurden eingeladen. Das Essen war super, es fehlen bloß Stuhlkissen und es wurde zu hektisch abgeräumt, das hat mich ein wenig gestört, ansonsten hoffen wir, dass uns diese kleine Gastronomie noch lange erhalten bleibt.

Hallo Tony Fans, ich bewerte ihnen nun anbei die Hafenklause in der Weltstadt Demmin. Dieser Laden wurde von zwei Leuten geschupst als ich dort war und ist vor allem durch eine reichhaltige Schnitzelselektion ausgezeichnet. Diese waren nicht nur schmackhaft, sondern auch nachweisbar frisch gemacht, man hörte das Schwein aus der Küche noch grunzen, es folgte ein Schrei, dann Stille, die daraufhin vom Klopfen des Schnitzelhammers zerschnitten wurde. Wie im Osten üblich ist um 20:00 Uhr Schicht, muss man wissen. Aber sehr gut und preislich Top.

Es ist sehr gemütlich. Ohne Vorbestellung kaum Möglichkeiten. Küche hat bis 13:30 Uhr offen dann ab 17:00 Uhr wieder. Ein zwei Mann Betrieb. Es wird frisch gekocht und mit sehr viel Liebe. Definitiv kommen wir wieder (mit Reservierung)

Super gemütlich, sehr leckeres Essen, super angerichtet-das Auge ißt mit-. Auch kann man bei schönem Wetter draußen sitzen und genießen. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Um 19 Uhr dort angekommen und nach einem Platz gefragt. Der Wirt gab gleich an das sie das letzte Essen zubereiten und es nichts mehr gibt. Außerdem schließe er um 21 Uhr. Finde dies nicht sehr kundenorientiert.

Essen sehr gut....Service naja! Nach dem Essen wurde man nicht mehr nach Getränken gefragt, obwohl die Gläser leer waren und man 2 Meter neben dem Tresen gesessen hat. Bis zur Schließung war noch 1 Stunde und man hatte den Eindruck, dass man das Lokal schnellstmöglich verlassen soll. Kann ich nicht weiterempfehlen.

Ich bin etwas enttäuscht wieder gegangen, nachdem ich längere Zeit, ohne von der Bedienung beachtet zu werden, in der Tür stand.
