Good home-style food. Salad and schnitzel were delicious.

Very good home-cooked food. The schnitzel is super delicious, and they also cater to special requests! The goulash is fantastic. They often host live events, although we haven't attended any yet.

Completely exorbitant prices and outrageous rip-offs at the family festival – a disgrace for Vellmar! I'll be honest: I'm furious. 1250 years of Vellmar – at some point, enough has really come to an end. 1250 years of Vellmar – a festival for the town, for families – and then they charge €4.50 for a simple bratwurst with a bread roll?! Is that even possible?! This isn't a gourmet sausage with gold leaf, but a completely normal sausage in a dry bread roll! What's next – €6 for fries and a blank smile? At a family festival?! There are families with several children milling around, teenagers, students – many of whom have hardly any money. And then you're forced to either dig deep into your pockets or go without altogether. I boycotted it – and hope many others did the same. That's no way to treat people who just want to have a nice day. And the worst part: While some stalls are ripping people off without restraint, the fire department, police, federal police, German Red Cross, and other volunteers are standing in the blazing sun, putting in the effort, showing off emergency vehicles, talking to young people, setting up stations – all for free! With tremendous commitment, extra staff, information materials, games, and genuine closeness to the people. The true heroes of the festival work for free and with heart – and the bratwurst costs almost €5?! That doesn't make sense at all! I saw many young people who were curious about the police or fire department – ​​but had to pass up the food because it was simply too expensive. That's not family-friendly; I consider it absolute greed and disrespectful to the visitors, as well as to all those who put so much effort into making the festival come alive in the first place. And then the organizers and vendors are surprised when people eventually leave? I've boycotted this extortion – and hope many others will too. That's not how you run a folk festival; that's how you drive people away! Vellmar can do more – and Vellmar should be ashamed of this pricing policy.

Absolutely recommended! The schnitzel was perfect – golden brown, crispy and wonderfully juicy. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the preparation. The service was first class: friendly, attentive and warm without being intrusive. You really feel welcome here as a guest. The atmosphere is cozy and the price-performance ratio is right. We'll definitely be back! ❤️

We were there for Schnitzel Day and can only recommend this small, really cute inn. There was, of course, schnitzel with a variety of sauces, fries and a side salad. If you can't find anything on this menu, you can't help it, the selection is plentiful. And what can I say? Everything was delicious and the portions weren't too small. Price performance is absolutely great and the service, whether employees or the boss herself, is very friendly. The small abode has probably just been renovated; it makes a cozy yet modern impression. An impression that makes you want to come back. We give it 5 stars and all thumbs up. 😊✌️

My wife and I were there on December 24th. to the breakfast buffet in the Kleine Bleibe. Pleasant atmosphere and very good price/performance ratio. Best selection, everything is plentiful and fresh, with good quality. Friendly, attentive service. It was a nice, relaxed Christmas Eve morning, we felt good

We had arranged to meet a married couple for breakfast on Christmas Eve at the buffet with a couple of friends who often order food there and were always satisfied. Unfortunately, they both had to cancel the next morning because they suddenly came down with a bad cold. So I went into the restaurant alone, and my husband followed a few minutes later. I explained that my husband and I would be coming to breakfast alone because our friends were ill. I was immediately told, and not particularly friendly, that we would of course have to pay for our friends' breakfast. It really didn't feel welcome. The breakfast buffet wasn't a buffet as stated in the offer, but a tiered stand with four portions of sausage, cheese, jam, some salmon, and fruit decorations. We also served coffee and a glass of orange juice. That was fine. We then had the appropriate portions packed for our couple, without the coffee and juice, of course. The price in the offer was €18.90 per person. We then received the bill for €19.90 per person, which we naturally complained about. The lady serving us acted as if she didn't know the exact price, even though it was written in bold letters everywhere. Almost €80 for fairly simple and inexpensive products is overpriced, and above all, it's not a buffet. So, neither our friends nor we felt particularly welcome and decided to stay away. Apparently, they don't rely on customers here. A small concession on the price for our friends would have been the least they could have done. They didn't choose their illness and, thank God, have now recovered.

On Saturday we had a great Christmas party with 50 people. Everything went really well, from the food to the service, everything was top-notch. Thank you again. Greetings from the hardware store 😊👍

The food is always very tasty and special requests are also happy to be fulfilled. Service is always friendly and open to a chat. And vegetarians are also considered. What more could you want? We'd love to come back!

Nice, attentive service, not intrusive. Old German schnitzel with salad and fries was very tasty and beautifully presented on the plates. Well tapped pilsner and shandy. The place is newly renovated 😀 Staff is really nice. Big praise to the entire team including the chef.

Even every vegan and vegetarian's heart will beat faster here... just ask! I don't even know who else offers REAL (!) home-style cooking in Kassel's Bacon Wrap or Kassel. Manuela in the little place definitely does that! If words like "snap bean soup", "black roots with dumplings", "something with kohlrabi vegetables" bring a smile to your face because you only know them from Muddi and Grandma, then you've come to the right place! and now the kicker!: we eat vegan ourselves! We don't usually go out to eat because in the Kassel area (and often elsewhere) it doesn't make sense to eat greasy vegetable burgers and the typical children's pasta and tomato sauce burger or completely messed up attempts. Manuela still knows real (!) vegetables, home-peeled potatoes and honest food. Absolute recommendation from 2 extremely "sweet" vegetable eaters, who still remember ahle Sausage and Häring, which you can't get anywhere as well as here....

Wir waren heute mit mehr Leuten als angemeldet zum Buffet. War alles kein Problem. Ruck Zuck wurden noch Plätze eingedeckt und Stühle geholt, und von dem leckeren Essen war auch genug da. Service war sehr freundlich. Weiter so, wir kommen bestimmt wieder 👍

Eine sehr schöne Kneipe. Ich kann noch erinnern. Als ein Fernsehladen drin war. Das ist schon sehr lange her.

Leider bin ich von dem Service bei dem Weihnachtsfrühstück sehr enttäuscht. Ich hätte mir gewünscht, dass mal gefragt wird, ob es außer Kaffee noch etwas anderes zu trinken sein darf. Auch hätte ich mich gefreut, wäre man darauf hingewiesen worden, dass es auch noch Ei gibt und die Zubereitung noch etwas dauert. Wir hätten auch gerne einen O-Saft getrunken, aber man hat sich kaum getraut, nach etwas zu fragen aus Angst vor einer schnippischen Antwort. So geht man meines Erachtens nicht mit Gästen um. Aber zu den Stammgästen war man ja scheinbar nett, wie es schien. Wir waren auch schon zum Essen in der Kleinen Bleibe und sind anderes vom Service gewöhnt. Sehr schade.

Essen war gut, Service war noch besser, dass Ambiente hat mir auch gefallen. Kann ich weiterempfehlen.

Das Restaurant ist klein , aber sehr gemütlich. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Bedienung sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles war sauber. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir kommen sowieso immer wieder gerne zum Essen, da absolut lecker und durch viele "Hausmannskost"-Angebote mal etwas anderes als die ewigen Pizza-/Pastagerichte. Wollte jetzt aber eigentlich den gelungenen Abend mit dem Auftritt der "Prisoners" loben, war ein toller Abend und das Wetter hat mitgespielt !

Klein aber fein, sehr netter Service. Wir wurden am Anfang darauf hingewiesen das es etwas länger dauern könnte (es waren alle Plätze belegt), haben aber nicht all zulange warten müssen. Es war lecker 😋. Gerne wieder.

Harmonischer netter Abend mit gutem Essen und super Service.

Ich bin nun Zweimal mittwochs in der kleinen Bleibe gewesen. Beim ersten Mal was es lecker und das Schnitzel frisch geklopft und goldgelb ausgebacken zubereitet. Wirklich gut und normalerweise 5 Sterne wert. Beim zweiten Besuch hatte ich den Eindruck ein nicht ganz so gutes Schnitzel (TK?) mit "gekünzelter" Paprikarahmsoße serviert bekommen zu haben. Der dritte Besuch wird wohl über 3 oder 5 Sterne entscheiden. Wir werden sehen.

Leider hatten wir das Gefühl, dass man auf neue Gäste keinen Wert legt. Für uns Vellmarer leider kein neues Stammlokal. Wir sind herzlicheren Service gewöhnt.

Schnitzel ( total zart und saftig) mit Pommes( knusprig und nicht überwürzt), Salat(frisch, knackig,lecker) : sehr, sehr zu empfehlen.Der Mitarbeiter/Chef(?) total freundlich und zuvorkommend. Am Nebentisch wurde Schach gespielt ( wie gemütlich!!! 👍🏻)und würde ich in Vellmar wohnen, wäre die Kleine Bleibe mein Stammlokal.

Haben in der kleinen Bleibe essen für unsere Hochzeit bestellt und was soll ich sagen? Es war super lecker, die Salatplatten super gemacht, netter Kontakt. Kann ich nur empfehlen 😊 Top 👍
