Kiraku in Berlin

Tastes quite good. But I've had better, and unfortunately, it wasn't particularly well presented, as you'd expect.

We were here for dinner around 6 p.m. The restaurant was full, but a reservation wasn't necessary. The service was very friendly and helpful. The food was also delicious, especially the sushi. We'll be back!

We were here on a Monday around 3 p.m. At first, we weren't sure if the restaurant was open, as there were no visitors. We had sushi and summer udon with yuzu. Both were delicious. Unfortunately, the sushi was a bit tightly rolled, so the makis opened up. However, this didn't detract from the taste. The decor and the restrooms are clean.

Delicious food. The real Japanese cuisine. There are some discounts if you go on Wednesdays. The waitress doesn't speak English but it's not a problem. Very recommended!

Many Japanese dishes that you don't find very often, including chey-ro. It's very quiet here, even though it's close to Hackescher Markt. Unfortunately, it was too quiet this evening, with only a few customers.

Unfortunately the food is not good at all. The taste is not even close to authentic. The only thing Japanese about this place is the dishes names on the menu.

The sushi was super delicious and of excellent quality. It came very quickly, but you're asked to leave promptly at 9:00 PM.

Das Restaurant liegt ideal inmitten vieler Büros am Hackeschen und bietet einen hervorragenden Mittagstisch – frisch, schnell serviert und preislich absolut fair. Das Sushi ist von sehr guter Qualität, schön angerichtet und geschmacklich überzeugend. Auch die vegetarischen Optionen sind abwechslungsreich und mit ebenso viel Sorgfalt zubereitet. Der Service war freundlich, aufmerksam und angenehm unaufdringlich. Die Atmosphäre ist modern und einladend – perfekt für eine entspannte Mittagspause oder ein informelles Business-Lunch. Ein echter Geheimtipp für alle, die in der Nähe arbeiten oder einfach gutes Sushi in Berlin suchen. Ich komme definitiv wieder!

Unfortunately the food wasn't that tasty, and for the price you pay the quantity is quite small.

Very good Japanese food with great value for money. My absolute highlight was the mackerel. The salmon was a bit dry today, and the rice had burnt/dry spots. I hope that was just an exception. I'm still satisfied and would come back.

What a hidden gem! Amazing japanese food and the service and atmosphere is fabulous. Prices and completely fair and really affordable. I will definitely come back :)

Friendly service! Delicious food! We paid €10 for the bowl! Enough for a small appetite—but at that price, you can also order an appetizer and dessert! We'll be back!

Nice atmosphere. Good sushi. Gluten-free options and gluten-free soy sauce are also available. Saturday is happy hour for sushi menus.

Our family favorite for many years. The staff is wonderful and always does their best! The food is always fantastic and very good quality fish, something that is rare in Berlin in my opinion.

Nice service and delicious food

Ordered a few pieces of sushi and a lunch menu on a red tray with mixed sashimi, chicken etc. Was served a soup while I waited for the food. The sushi came so quickly that I found it hard to believe that it was freshly made when ordered. When the tray came, there was half an orange. The orange was dried out and not freshly cut. When I tasted the chicken meat it was nothing but fat. So were the deep fried pieces of chicken. I lost my appetite as I didn't feel comfortable eating the raw fish on the tray. I therefore paid and left the place. I've never done that before.

The food was delicious I won't forget that anytime soon We only arrived half an hour before the end We were afraid that we would starve We were still asked to come in The food tasted fine A board full of offers. The food is definitely also tasty with the delivery boat.

Almost identical menu to the previous restaurant “Ishin” (still available on Mittelstrasse, for example). I think the food in the original is better and you even get free green tea there.

Large restaurant good decor but the food wasn't very good

I was very disappointed. Ordered a bowl of Sake Don. The rice was partly hard and a tiny portion, as if rice were a luxury item. The salmon slices on top were paper thin. Material usage max. 2€. There is definitely much better in the area. Conclusion: never again

It was really delicious and the service was super friendly. It was a little too cold, but still acceptable. The prices are just right. So you pay for the quality and yet not too much.

My partner and I recently ate here and we regret it. When we entered it was almost empty and that should have been our clue to get out but we didn’t. The staff is nice but the moment we sat down some drunk guy came in asking for some soup. He got sat and just started to talk/scream to no one in particular but it was annoying and over all just not a good sign. Our food came and it tasted pretty okay nothing special but it was cheap so we did not expect much. The man behind us kept screaming and we just wanted to get out. A few hours later me and my partner both started to feel sick and we now have food poisoning. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Food came quickly (miso, guyoza, sashimi, sushi). Very neat. Price okay. Staff great. A bit cooler atmosphere, also because various doors on the street were open.

Today I ordered a tori teryiaki do (crispy chicken with salad) and got very strange tasting rice with old lettuce. The meat was completely flimsy and thin and had some kind of goo layer around it. It tasted absolutely disgusting and didn't look at all appetizing .NEVER AGAIN!!!!

So I eat there with friends almost every month and I think Kiraku is a perfect place! I think €3.89 for 8 makis is way too cheap. I don't mean to say that the makis are of poor quality, but rather that kiraku pays particular attention to ensuring that you can eat sushi cheaply I can definitely recommend the fried sushi with “avocado salmon, cucumber and cream cheese”. I can only recommend this shop and the waiters are extremely nice too! Negative I just think that the fried suhis are a bit expensive at €12, but the makis are too cheap, which makes up for it For me a 10/10

Ordered a simple Sanshoku don for lunch. Rice was piping hot and warmed up all the sashimi slices. Two of the dorade slices had fish bone to them. Frankly speaking this is quite an insult to Japanese food. Luckily the fish did not smell spoiled and I’m just glad that I did not get sick afterwards. Service was friendly, don’t think I’ll come back though.

I lived near there for a long time. The quality of the sushi has always been excellent over the years.

April 2024: sadly the quality of the fish and rice had declined. It doesn't taste fresh. Rice is often hard, the algea difficult to chew. Fish left a weird aftertaste. Prices increased though. The service that was always friendly seems to have lost love for the job. My favourite sushi restaurant. It's always fresh and tasty and the people who work there are nice and welcoming. They remember extra wishes and remember your face when you're there more often. Their take out was my weekly treat during the lockdowns. Thank you 💛

Food was delicious with a large selection. Service was nice and very unobtrusive. The ambience was a bit too cool for me personally, but it fits into the overall picture.

Used to be Ishin. The menu offers didn't change much except for their prices. But otherwise the food is still very good. Especially their Ceyro/Seiro (steamed don) is good. The appetizers and sides are also good just a bit pricey. Back then they also used to offer green tea for free but last time we didn't get it anymore. Guess they don't offer it anymore. Service, atmosphere and cleanliness is great. They also accept cards.

I strongly recommend the sushi, the selection of sushi rolls was also great Thank you to the staff for the awesome service and the Chef for the delicious food. The staff here speak English so if you are a tourist like me don't hesitate to walk in I recommend it to you all

War mal ein Ort für tolles Sushi. Zuletzt stimmte zwar die Qualität, aber die Portionen sind mittlerweile winzig.

Das Sushi ist vielleicht nicht unbedingt traditionell, aber hervorragend im Geschmack. Es finden sich ein paar ausgefallene Hauptgerichte. Zum Probieren wirklich gut.

Immer super, ich esse mindestens einmal die Woche hier.

Ein tolles Restaurant, nette Bedienung und auch das Essen war super lecker und frisch. Man wurde zügig bedient und auch das Essen kam schnell.

Seit Jahren unser Go-to Sushi Restaurant. Generell hat uns hier wirklich jedes Gericht sehr gut geschmeckt. Außerdem haben sie ein super nettes Team.

Seit Jahren kommen wir fast schon wöchentlich hier her - entweder essen wir vor Ort oder nehmen es mit. Es hat in all den Jahr niemals an Qualität verloren. Faire Preise für überdurchschnittlich gutes Sushi - besonders am Sashimi zu erkennen ;)

Superbe sushi rencontré par hasard. Le menu est en anglais, les sushis délicieux. La serveuse rapide et efficace. Le bento était incroyablement super !!! Le rapport qualité prix est incroyable. Il y a des jours où les sushis coûtent beaucoup moins cher ! Nous y sommes allés un mercredi et les sushis de mon mari était 5€ moins cher.

Super restaurant très bien placé à 100m à peine de la gare « S ». Personnel très agréable et service ultra rapide pour une notre finale raisonnable compte tenu de la qualité de la cuisine. Je recommande fortement.

The food was tasty, but could have had a bit more flavor, and a bit more actual food and less filler like rice.

Ich war schon mehrmals da. Aber letztes mal war nicht so gut. Tunfisch auf nigiri war komisch, und auch komisch gerochen. Lachs auf nigiri ist viel kleiner geworden. In ceyro gibts kein Lotuswurzel mehr.

Das Essen habe ich als dürftig erlebt, minimale Portion und qualitativ kein hochwertiger Fisch. Kann ich nicht empfehlen

Lovely Japanese restaurant. I tried alot of Japanese restaurants before. This one is for my taste okay. Great prices and friendly staff. The sushi was oké. I was missing some smooth flavory taste.

A nice place to be if you wanna try Japanese dishes, the bento box (12:00-16:00) is brilliant and very dilicious 🥰 the other dishes in the Bambus steam are also highly recommended.

It seams they are on annual leave from 10-23 July. But they forgot to update in Google. So the restaurant appeard open.

Locale in buona posizione molto grande con tavoli sua interni che esterni . Abbiamo preso del sushi e devo dire che era buono.

Das essen ist gut und mit das beste sushi das ich gegessen habe. Der service ist freundlich allerdings lässt er sich ein wenig zeit. Das ambiente ist sehr schön und die toiletten sauber. Auf der speisekarte ist sehr viel auswahl.

Ich gebe ihm nur deshalb nicht alle Sterne, weil Ishin in der Mittelstraße geschmacklich alle anderen übertrifft. Ansonsten klasse Restaurant.

Best sushi in Berlin! We loved this place so much we visited 2 days in a row. Great plates, love the happy hour, and very very very fresh fish. Great service as well!
