My visit to KT Erlangen was once again very pleasant. The cats are very sweet and love to be petted. (Cats Ferdl and Dani are great.) The food, especially the burgers with fries and salad, is highly recommended. The owner of the restaurant is very friendly and dedicated, and you can tell that the well-being of his guests is very important to him. Thank you for the pleasant visit and see you next time.

A lovely place for cat lovers to linger. ‼️🚨 However, as a cat lover and cat owner, it was painful to observe how some families allowed their children to interact with the animals unsupervised. The cats were disturbed, touched, and harassed while resting – without consideration for their needs. Although the rules of conduct are clearly written and clearly stated, I believe it would be helpful if the staff actively and verbally reminded families, especially with children, of the importance of treating the animals with respect. This would better protect the cats' well-being and preserve the café's special character. Thank you very much.🚨‼️

We were there today. I thought it was really cute. Food 10/10 Service 9/10. I don't know, maybe one of the girls was a bit too young (but it could have been a summer job or something). The lady was a bit shy ☺️. Unfortunately, the cats were hardly visible, but that's why they're cats 😂😂😂. And well, if you don't like cats, you shouldn't go in, or if you have allergies, you should avoid them. But you only go in if you do like cats ☺️. All in all, we'll be back. I like it 💪👍✌️

Yesterday I went to the Cat Temple for the second time. I'm currently working on reducing my meat consumption, and I also love cats. What could be better than the Cat Temple? The first time, I had the chickpea curry. It was super delicious. Yesterday, the dumpling tart was also excellent. The highlight, however (besides the cats, of course), was the tiramisu. This is served with flowers that add a wonderful touch of color and flavor. The cats are super cute, and their relaxed demeanor helps me eat more slowly (unfortunately, I often eat much too quickly).

There were no cats there, we only found out when we asked. Due to construction work, they were housed elsewhere.

A few weeks ago, I went to the Cat Temple with my daughter, and we had a negative experience. We ordered a burger that tasted absolutely disgusting. When we asked if we had to pay for it (we immediately informed them and didn't finish the burger), we were told yes, we had to pay for it after consulting with the manager. There was no concession, like free drinks or anything else. That was the first and last time we went there. We don't even get a star for it.

I was there on my birthday and was actually really happy. But unfortunately I was pretty disappointed. We had a smoothie bowl, too expensive for the small quantity, a few spoons & that was it. The taste was ok. Had two homemade sodas, one was good and the other just tasted like water. Unfortunately not worth the “hype” at all & too expensive for what you get. But at least the cats were cute.

The burgers, and especially the fries, were very, very good for the price! And the atmosphere was even more amazing. Everyone was very relaxed, very positive, not the usual everyday hustle and bustle. The cats also did a great job!

The following happened: The payment process in the restaurant was very chaotic, my companion also had to point out that she would still get change. The operator neither responds to email nor to the call to the restaurant, where I expressed my anger about the meal I paid for twice and left my number asking for clarification! A vegan paradise with little velvet paws We visited the vegan restaurant and were very satisfied. The furnishings are modern and inviting, you immediately feel at home. The staff is friendly and attentive, you can tell they are passionate about their work. The food was very tasty! I had a burger and the taste was very good. Everything was freshly prepared and lovingly prepared. It becomes clear here that vegan cuisine is anything but boring. A special highlight are of course the cats that run around in the restaurant. However, they are very relaxed and stay discreetly in the background so that you don't feel disturbed. So if you don't like cats, you don't need to worry. The kids certainly expect something different, but cats can't be controlled 😉 The toilets were clean and well maintained. Parking is difficult in the middle of the city center, so use the surrounding parking garages. The Cat Temple is an absolute must for anyone who loves vegan cuisine or simply wants to try something new. The combination of a beautiful ambience, friendly service, delicious food and the cute cats makes the visit an unforgettable experience. I'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately, we had a mishap on our last visit. A drink was knocked over and we tried to save the situation with napkins. Only after approaching the waitress and asking for a cloth did she come back with it, a bucket and a drying cloth. She asked us to also mop and dry the floor. Spilled drinks or food are part of the normal business operations of a catering establishment, and it is the staff's job to professionally remedy such mishaps. Of course, a guest can help out of courtesy if they want, but it should never be an expectation or even a request from the restaurant. Good service is characterized by the staff reacting in a friendly manner, taking care of the cleaning and not causing an unpleasant situation for the guest. Otherwise, we think the concept and the menu are good.

When we asked where we could sit (1/3 of the seats were occupied) we were asked if we had reserved online... we hadn't. When asked if she could check if there was anything available, she rolled her eyes in annoyance and answered no. Another family behind us had the same experience after making an online reservation and they were allowed to sit down. But we lost our mood.

Finally I was in the cat temple. Very clean! Very nice service! A delicious sandwich with a very tasty hot chocolate on the side. Everything vegan. Pretty cats that also find their retreat from us humans. It was so full of people that day but the cats had a very calming, almost hypnotic effect. Personally, I was still missing regality and biology or I hadn't noticed it. I would like to come back again when it is not so crowded. When business is booming, I am happy for the owner and the existence of the business. It is something special with individuality and passion.

Since my son is vegan, we chose this restaurant - we didn't regret it, we were even very pleasantly surprised - the food tasted excellent - the burgers didn't taste much different from "normal" burgers - we'll be happy to come back!

We came for the cats the first time and now again for the food and service (cats are a great plus). Nice staff, fantastic bowls and desserts. Prices absolutely reasonable for what you get! We really enjoy coming to you, it's worth every journey.

Overall we felt the visit was very limited and didn't really offer what we were hoping for. Perhaps a little more flexibility, opportunities for interaction and friendlier care could be created here to make the visit more attractive for cat lovers.

A nice experience for my daughter and I (as non-vegans) to eat vegan in a restaurant and watch cats. As expected, they are not cuddly cats and only like to be observed in peace. We went to the Cat Temple on a Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. without a reservation. When you try to pet the cats, they let you know that they don't like being petted. When the delicious food was served, a tomcat jumped straight onto the table and sniffed the food. It wasn't a problem to scare him away from the table. We observed food being picked up by delivery service. So you can also have vegan food delivered to your home. We ate burgers with fries and warmed banana bread with vegan cream for dessert. The highlight are the cats and for me they are the only reason why I would go to the cat temple again. Anyone expecting good food, good service and a good price-performance ratio will unfortunately be bitterly disappointed: I ordered the pumpkin and mushroom goulash with napkin dumplings and a side salad. The goulash looked like it had been thrown up on the plate and the portion was tiny, the majority of the plate was salad and there were three 2 euro sized slices of napkin dumplings. To then charge a good €20 for this dish is a disgrace. The menu is exclusively vegan, which is also a big minus (there are still people who don't follow this fashion). The two waitresses who served us didn't seem to agree at all about who was going to which guests and when, and seemed - to say the least - confused. All in all disappointing.

We would be happy to be a little more friendly, even if there is no space available!

Unfortunately, I have to give a negative review without having eaten here. On a Friday evening at 6:15 p.m. we (two people) were turned away on the grounds that we hadn't made a reservation. When we were told that half the restaurant was empty, we were told that the kitchen couldn't handle it. Reservations are still coming in and the kitchen closes at 7 p.m. The restaurant itself doesn't close until 8:00 p.m. Unfortunately, we were unable to find any reference to the kitchen's operating hours or a "reservation recommended" either on the website or on the downloaded menu. We understand the current staff shortage in the catering industry and also the time it takes to prepare decent dishes, but in order to avoid unpleasant surprises, a note in this direction would be appropriate.

Unfortunately the breakfast menus were really not good. We got dry salad with no dressing and a few slices of bread that were nothing special. If people come to pet you all the time, I don't think the cats do well when they obviously just want some peace and quiet. That sounds like a cool concept at first, but unfortunately the implementation isn't good.

We came for breakfast at 11am. When we were there, the cats were mostly very friendly and seemed relaxed. We ordered several breakfast options; I would have liked a purely sweet version with bread, for example with a vegan chocolate spread. Although I found the mixed sweet/savory plate very tasty, I might have had a few problems with it as a child. What is very nice, however, is the fact that there are only vegan dishes. As I said, the food was very tasty, the same went for the drinks. I found the prices to be reasonable for downtown Erlangen. The service was also ok, although a repeat order was forgotten. Fortunately, this was not calculated. The general atmosphere was very relaxed. However, one thing stressed me out a bit: the intermediate door to keep the cats inside was only waist high with several holes and didn't lock properly. Here I suddenly see the potential for a lost cat among many visitors. Overall, I would recommend the restaurant.

We are currently on holiday in the region and happened to end up at the Cat Temple in Erlangen today. I was as happy as a child to experience my first visit to a cat café. The food (Tigerbowl and Tempelburger) was very tasty, I am always happy to find good vegetarian/vegan dishes. The plates were lovingly prepared. All six temple cats stopped by, three were permanently nearby and allowed themselves to be petted. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and cat-friendly. The service was impeccable. Since there wasn't that much going on, our almost 4-year-old was allowed to "work along" and create the invoice for me on the order tablet. The visit sweetened my day, brought a little relaxation and a good mood and somewhat alleviated the longing for my own house cats at home. Would definitely come back if we are in the area again!

The Service was amazing and friendly, cat-related rules were easy to understand and the cats themselves were (although a little passive) very friendly and welcoming. Food is a slightly expensive but also very filling! There are pretty big portions with a tasty dressing. On a sidenote the place isnt "filled" to the brim with cats, there are about 6 cats that usually stay near the same area so choose your seating wisely if you wanna be able to stay near them for longer. ^^ Overall its very recommendable if youre a Cat lover and know how to behave near them. Its a great place to spend time at.

We really enjoyed being here often, but unfortunately the nice service person who initially worked there (Vio?) also lost some of the good vibe. The sad climax was when we wanted to come over for a cake and ice cream in the afternoon a few weeks ago and were then asked in a shop that was only 40% full if we had made a reservation. We said no and then they said unfortunately we wouldn't get a place. I asked several times whether all the tables would be reserved for the afternoon and also said that we just wanted an ice cream for our little one and a piece of cake and cappuccino for ourselves and that we could quickly free up a table again. After asking several times, we were told that not all of the tables were reserved, but we still couldn't have one because she would be alone and everything would therefore take longer. Unfortunately, she didn't let the fact that waiting wouldn't be a problem for us, the main thing was that our little one got her ice cream, which she had been looking forward to all day. So we had to leave the store with the child crying. This is how you scare away the guests. The young man who has been there from the beginning must also be praised. He is always very friendly and I assume that this situation would not have arisen with him. Oh and one more note: the improved Creamy Carrot Cake tastes terrible, where do I go to get the old one back?

Wir sind enttäuscht. Yes, the cats are very cute, but this is a cafe and we come here to eat and drink something. We ordered coffee with ice cream (Eiskaffee sollte sein) and what we got was a terrible coffee mix with cream. We couldn't even drink it. And we paid around 7-8 €. I mean, if you sell something at this price, I think something is wrong. The cats were cute, yes, but I don't know, am I wrong? You can add photos to the menu so no one will be disappointed. Or just change it :(

The concept is absolutely nice. The place is big. Though I'm not vegan, I really liked the food (got a rainbow bowl, recommended). Especially the mayonnaise and the fruity dragon drink. My only observation is that the service could be slightly faster: it was not full, but it still took some time for the drinks and then the food to arrive. But I know this is something that can be improved... or maybe it takes some more time for the food to be ready. I did not really mind, as I had enough time. I would come back, definitely :). I liked it that the atmosphere wasn't too loud.

The problem is more the prevailing animal cruelty. Before my visit I was worried about the animal friendliness, but after my visit it became clear to me that the cats and how people treat them are not taken care of at all (hence the service 2 stars). Parents use the café as a petting zoo and children run after cats with toys, chase them, wake them up and, last but not least, even enter the animals' rest room. Nothing is done to suggest that this day is not an isolated incident. Now considering that this is a chain, it is extremely unfortunate how the animals are used as a source of entertainment and attraction for people just to make a profit for the company. Really, really a shame and absolutely out of date!

I go to this cafe very often and I quite enjoy it, mainly because of the cats. However, I have to agree with the comments here that everything is overpriced and unfortunately, the drinks they serve recently lack the quality it once had. The hot chocolate they served was literally cold, as if it had been waiting out for hours before they decided to serve it to the customer. Waiting time is long even when it's not that crowded.

Unfortunately I have to adapt my old review from 10 months ago: Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated significantly. We ordered breakfast for 4 people. The bread was very dry, ingredients were mixed up or only served after repeated requests and breakfast was completely forgotten. The service was also surprisingly slow considering that only a few guests were visiting the café at the time. It's a shame and not appropriate for the prices quoted. This is what it looked like 10 months ago: We've been there several times and are very satisfied :) The prices don't seem cheap at first glance, but it's worth it. The portions are large, side dishes are plentiful and everything is vegan. The cats also have plenty of space and toys at their disposal. Above all, the cats can retreat, there are enough places to retreat. Some are in the guest room so you can still watch the cats. But there is also a flap so that the cats can be completely away from the guests. This is rarely used :) There is also a great outdoor area with a swing lounger! It is ideal for (small) children, there is a small play area, high chair and of course cats ;) The ladies and gentlemen in the restaurant are very attentive and friendly.

The Cat Temple is a successful change from a normal café and a must for every cat lover! The cats behave calmly and are very cuddly. The tiramisu was delicious. Plus the prices were reasonable. The service was also great! We'd love to come back!
